    Manchester City fan handed 5-year ban

    A Manchester City fan, Ian Baldry, was banned from football matches for five years by Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday after he pleaded guilty to racially abusing England forward Raheem Sterling.

    Baldry made a racist remark after Manchester City forward Sterling scored against Bournemouth in an English Premier League (EPL) match in Dec. 2018, a previous hearing at the court was told.

    The 58-year-old, who told the court he has since regretted using the language, was also ordered to carry out 200 hours of community service.

    Sterling did not hear the comment at the time, although it was heard by a number of supporters, the court was told.

  • Heartbroken Wizkid apologises for murder of fan by policeman

    Joro crooner,Wizkid, has apologized for the murder of a male fan of his who was returning from his StarBoyFest concert held on Thursday night at Eko Atlantic Energy City in Victoria Island, Lagos.

     

    The murdered fan, Babatunde Adeniji, was shot dead early Friday by a policeman, Lukmon Akanbi, following a misunderstanding.

     

    Mr Adeniji was taken to Naval Dockyard Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

     

    The self-proclaimed Starboy in a tweet on Friday, said he was broken on hearing the news of the tragic incident.
    “Nigerian police! Protect us! Not kill us! I’m so so sorry guys. I’m so broken right now ,” he said.

     

     

    Mr Akanbi, a police sergeant, has been sacked for the killing after facing internal disciplinary proceedings known as Orderly Room Trial.
    According to the police, he has been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba for prosecution in a conventional court.

    Afro-pop singer, Burna Boy has sparked diverse opinions as he was recently captured sending a fan out of a concert for not showing excitement.

    According to reports, the music fiesta is believed to have taken place in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

    The ‘On the low’ singer can be seen in the viral video returning the fan’s money used to purchase a ticket for the show.

    He also urges the security operatives to escort the man out.

    “You can go to the back though you can’t stay in the front,” Burna tells the fan.

    “The front is strictly for my die-hard Burna Boy fans, everyone that reckons with me, everyone that understands what I do, everyone that sings my song with my sweat, my blood, the tears that I put into this music, I do this for you.”

    Afro-pop singer, Davido has rewarded one of his loyal female fans.

    Recall that during his concert that held at Eko Atlantic last week, Davido announced he would be gifting a male fan N1 million. It appears that Davido had a rift with the said fan who called him and a certain ‘Lati’ out on social media for the delay of the promised 1 million.

     

    From all indications, Davido has decided to give the money to someone else. He gave it to a certain female fan identified as Deborah Ezekwe, who he spotted in the crowd as she shouted OBO during his show.

     

    On Sunday December 30th, Deborah was given the sum of N1 million. She was given N500, 000 cash and the balance was reportedly transferred into her sister’s account

     

    In the video posted on social media, Deborah stated that she is not the girl that was harassed on the day of the show. Recall that a certain Karimah took to twitter to allege that she was sexually assaulted during the concert. Davido had also promised to compensate her.

    Deborah wrote:”If y’all can remember the second person @davidoofficial promised 1million naira towards the end of the concert. I am the girl! And I just want to say a very big thank you, this means a lot to me.God bless you. You’ve just made me a fan for LIFE!!!

    I was given 1m not 200k my big sister @tallslimesther went with me so she witnessed it. I was given 500k cash and the balance of 500k was transferred to my mum’s account. I was given the money because @davidoofficialpromised a guy 1m. When he was like “I give guy money e no go good make I no give girl”. He saw me when i was really screaming OBO! then he was like,”abeg bring that girl up for me she don try I don dey see am since, she don dey shout since,abeg give her 1m” and they took her back stage. That was how I got the 1million… I WAS NOT SEXUALLY HARASSED”.

    Singer cum actress, Gift Uwame, a.k.a Muma Gee has been slammed over kissing a random male fan at the ongoing One Lagos festival.

    The songstress who is back after a long music hiatus, kissed the unidentified man at the Victoria Island centre of One Lagos Fiesta.

     

    According to reports, the mystery man was in the audience when Muma Gee located him and invited him on stage to dance with her .
