  • Buhari @ 75: Fayose congratulates PMB; says ‘I’m not a fan of old men’

    Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari as he clocks 75 on Sunday (today).

    He however urged the president to quit politics, insisting that he was not a fan of old men.

    The governor spoke at a session with journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.

    Mr. Fayose said the president had served the nation to be best of his ability in spite of his age, saying he required the prayers of all Nigerians.

    “This is to congratulate Mr President as he clocks 75. I want to thank God for his life and pray for good health in the service of our nation and that he continues to age with grace,” he said.

    “I wish him the best. He represents us all and we owe him prayers and co-operation where necessary, just as we also need to criticise him too where necessary.”

    Mr. Fayose said he congratulated President Buhari, not minding the political differences between them.

    He however stated the President should consider his advice of quitting politics at this stage of his public service.

    “I am not a fan of an old man and this is not personal and peculiar to President Buhari,” he said.

    We need an agile president come 2019. We need somebody that is experienced and agile.

    “He shouldn’t contest and the decision is his and his party. But that is not going to stop me and my party from taking over from him and his party come 2019.”

    Burna Boy who has been embroiled in several controversies is one singer known to be temperamental. The Like to party singer took to his Twitter page stating that he only makes music for himself and his fans and nobody else..

    Tiwa Savage has come under fire for baring her cleavage at the recent opening of Club Quilox on Friday night(7th of July). The All Over singer was dressed in a see-through dress that got fans talking and asking If she is indeed a married woman.

    Though Savage will be quick to tell you showing off her sex appeal is all part of showbiz, her fans were miffed at her revealing dress.

    A certain Fabulous wrote:” For crying out loud, Tiwa Savage you are naked”.

    Another said:”This is bad. Was she suppose to seduce Teebillz at the event?”

    ” Can Teebillz handle all of these exposure. Was this not part of what caused their marriage saga last year?” Wunmi a Tiwa Savage fan asked

     

    However some of her fans still believe she has a right to wear whatever she deems fit as an adult.

    “I still don’t understand why people bother about what celebs wear and how sexy it looks. Were we not born naked? Centuries ago, do people even wear clothes?” Shola another Tiwa Savage fan wrote.

     

    Tiwa Savage was born in Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State. Her family relocated to London when she was 11 years old. While attending high school, she was a trombone player for her school’s orchestra band. Savage had a healthy upbringing; she grew up in a multicultural setting due to her migration from Nigeria to the United Kingdom, and from the United Kingdom to the United States. After graduating with a degree in Business administration from the University of Kent, Savage started working at The Royal Bank of Scotland.

    She did backup vocals for George Michael at the age of 16, and lent vocals to other musicians such as Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan, Blu Cantrell, Emma Bunton, Kelly Clarkson, Andrea Bocelli, and Ms. Dynamite, amongst others. Furthermore, she has performed on stage with Sting, 50 Cent, The Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Robbie Williams and Destiny’s Child, to name a few.

    A certain Omoruyi worte on Debie’s comment section: ”Since Big Brother House you have been lying about your relationship with Bassey,You can’t tell us he hasn’t had sex with you”.

    Debie Rise didn’t mince words in her response. According to her:”I don’t usually respond to comments, but I need to say this with every sense of respect to adults, I want to say you are very stupid for that comment.     Curvy Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has slammed a fan who pressurized Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim to get married. This occurred after a fan called out Juliet Ibrahim to go for prayer sessions and find a husband instead of attending comedy shows with Mercy Johnson who is married with three children.

    The fan, a certain @ Djmurphylee001 puts it this way:”Well done, time wey u suppose dey go church or prayer seminar to dey ask baba God husband you dey do glo laftan.”

    He made the comment after Mercy Johnson shared a picture of herself and Juliet Ibrahim at GloLafta in Calabar on her instagram page @mercyjohnsonokojie.

    In defence of Ibrahim, Mercy Johnson wrote: “You look foolish and you just showed everyone that you truly are foolish.May God help you to learn how powerful words are and how to mind your business”.

    A certain Instagram user ,Anabel Aminu has written an open letter to Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim after she shared screenshot of a marriage proposal from one of her admirers on Instagram.

    She slammed the actress for publicly disgracing the man saying she will be held responsible If the man commits suicide.

    According to her:” I watched with dismay how you posted the DM message of a man who sincerely is doing his manly right of nature by approaching you for a relationship. You were suppose to thank him for his interest or better still ignore if you are not interested, not to ridicule him and make him a spectacle on your page for you and your fans to shame . I still don’t know where to place you right now as your reputation is in jeopardy . If you don’t know , let me tell you what you just did to this man and if he commit suicide you will be held responsible.You have taken away everything that made this man a human being.You have abused this man both mentally and socially .For years to come , the damage you have done this man will be un-repairable . He won’t be able to ask any woman on a date anymore”.

    Juliet Ibrahim is yet to reply her rant.

    Godwin singer Korede Bello may look gentle and cool on the outside, but the singer isn’t comfortable with fans criticizing him. Yesterday, the ‘Mungo Park’ crooner took to his Instagram page to share a video, announcing to his fans about his scheduled concert in Australia.

    He wrote: “It’s about to be a long trip to Aussie, I’ll see you guys in a bit”.

    Then a certain fan condemned his English. “Lol…bruh Aussie is a person from Australia or words used to describe Australians. Una go dey form foneh wey una noh sabi…gosh.”

    Angry Korede Bello replied by saying: “Go and help your parents. Do something with your life”.
