Celebrity fashion designer, Yomi Casual opens up on being ‘gay’

Celebrity fashion designer, Olorunyomi Omoniyi Makun, professionally known as Yomi Casual, has finally opened up on being gay.

The AY comedian’s brother took to his Instagram page to call out those spreading rumors against him to desist from such, saying he didn’t know where such had emanated from.

Yomi in a lengthy note containing many curses, said he would wish for his own death if the allegations were true.

“It is always easy for family and friends to reach out and say, ignore them. Silence is golden. They will get tired and move on to the next person. But I’m the one wearing the shoes, and I’m the one feeling all the damages and pains to my reputation as a husband, father and businessman.”

continuing he stated that he has never nursed the idea of being gay and will never do so, Yomi cursed himself, saying he should face grave consequences if he ever nursed the idea of being gay.

“Coming out of church today and having reflected on all the lies against me, I want to say I am not too good a Christian who would turn and take a slap on the other cheek. Enough is enough. Should I Omoniyi, Olorunyomi Makun be gay or nurse any idea of sleeping with a fellow man, may death take me before my time, and may everything that God has blessed me with be taken away from me. May failure become my portion in everything that concerns me till death.”

“On the other hand, if these are fabrications borne out of jealousy, envy, insecurities, or wickedness and I pray for God to vindicate me. May those of you who share such lies against me also be entertained by the pain you have brought to my family. Today, I pronounce doom, death, and destruction on anyone who would continue to incite lies to assassinate my character.

”Enough is enough. Note: As you come here to say “no blog mentioned your name, but some of you remembered to tag me or put in a comment with my name in their comment sessions. May you and your entire family suffer from depression and untimely death”, he said.

Recall that the fashion designer’s wife, Grace Makun, had last week come out to dare anyone with proof of the gay allegation to come out with it in 24 hours.

Also, over the weekend, Comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, a senior brother to the fashion designer, noted that those are traits one can never trace to the Makuns family.

“It’s all about entertainment for these evil people. They are traits you will NEVER EVER trace to the Makuns’. You already know who you marry, go to bed. As for the bloggers, I still have their tablets. They will use backup accounts again when I strike as usual.”

Lagos woman declares daughter missing, accuses BRT driver of abducting her

An unknown driver working with Lagos Bus services Limited is being charged with the alleged abduction of 21-year-old Lagos based fashion designer.

The lady whose name has been given as Bamise Ayanwole was said to be missing after she boarded a LBSL bus popularly known as Blue BRT at Chevron area of Lekki on her way to Oshodi on February 25, 2022.

The family of a 21-year-old fashion designer, Bamise Ayanwole, has raised the alarm over her alleged abduction by a driver of the Lagos Bus Services Limited.

It was gathered that the fashion designer boarded the bus at 7:30 pm but felt uncomfortable when the driver asked her to take a sit at the back seat.

Still feeling uncomfortable, Bamise sent out voice notes and video clips to express her displeasure to one of her friends on WhatsApp.

The friend who spoke on condition of anonymity explained what transpired thereafter in the bus as explained to her by Bamise

“On her way home, the driver picked up two men and one woman. This made her calm down a bit. Then she told us she would alight at Oworonshoki. We called her and noticed something was unusual about the way she was talking. We tried to reach out to her again but her phone was unreachable; then we waited a bit, thinking it was probably (due to a) low battery, only for her parents to contact us on Sunday that Bamise wasn’t home yet and since then we have been at the Oshodi BRT Terminal 3. We were told to sit and wait for the driver to come. The driver did not show up,” the source added.

In the voice notes and WhatsApp messages obtained from her friend’s phone, Bamise was heard saying that after being picked by the driver ,the BRT hasn’t picked any other passenger.

Bamise was said to have made a short video showing an unclear image of a driver and what looked like the vehicle number plate.

Bamise’s mum was seen in a viral video pointing to a blue BRT bus claiming it was the same bus her daughter had boarded on the fateful day.

“This is the vehicle that Bamise boarded. It has been parked. They say they cannot find the driver. Bamise boarded the vehicle at Ajah and said she was coming to Oshodi. The vehicle got to its destination but the child did get home. We can’t find her. They must find Bamise for me. I didn’t tell her to go to Lagos to die,” she said

Upon interrogation, Bamise’s elder brothet said he sensed a case of kidnapping because the driver of the bus is now at large.

“From my little investigation, I discovered that the company does not have proper documentation of their drivers. We learnt that the driver moved from where he claimed to be living over a year ago and his guarantor doesn’t live where he claimed to be living. The company is trying to push us aside and keep it away from the press. Our parents are aware but they aged, so we had to convince them that all is well. But we have been having sleepless nights.”

However, the police said they were investigating a case of a missing person, adding that the suspect’s guarantor had been arrested.

The Public Affairs Officer of the Lagos Bus Services Limited, Afolabi Olawale, said the company would await the outcome of the police investigation before making its position known.

  • Most men think about sex when they see plus-size women- Monalisa Stephen, Plus-size model

Gone are the days, the slim girls had the attention all to themselves at the expense of the fleshy and big girls. The fat and plump girls who now refer to themselves as plus- size are sharing the spotlight, strutting their stuff and becoming celebrities in their own right.

While some are still wallowing in self-pity, living in the misery, afraid to embrace their body, plus-size model and fashion designer , known as Monalisa Stephen, is proud of what Mother Nature has blessed her with.

In this chat with TNG, she opens up on her passion for plus-size fashion among other issues.

    What words best describe you?

I am strong, fat, independent and kind. There are plenty beautiful words to describe me.

Tell us about your educational background?

I attended a polytechnic, Ado Ekiti Polytechnic in Ado Ekiti. I studied Business Administration. I have had some training here and there and also attended a fashion school.

Tell us about your journey into modelling and fashion?

My journey into modelling and fashion was sparked by my mum. My interest was birthed from watching her. I started thinking of modelling when I was 15 that is because all my friends were skinny. At my secondary school’s end of the year party back then, I had to model on the runway, some people hailed me while others bullied me.

What were the challenges you encountered starting out?

The challenge of being a plus-size has been online bullying and body-shaming. No one in my day to day activities has really walked up to me to tell me that I should lose some weight. People think because you are fat you don’t have a right to be happy.

How were you able to overcome the body shaming that comes with being plus- size?

Like I say in my posts, loving yourself is a journey; It doesn’t happen in a day. It takes time to love you. You need to get to a point where you love yourself to the point that no matter what anybody says, it won’t get to you. I have been able to overcome body- shaming by loving myself. I don’t care about how you see me; I only care about how I see myself.

When you look into the mirror, what do you see?

Whenever I look into the mirror, I see a beautiful fat woman .that is not afraid to show the world how she feels.

How old were you when you got your first modelling job?

    I think I was 19

Do you think men are drawn to plus size women?

Men seeing me as a sex object doesn’t have to do with just me. It is peculiar to all plus size women. Once a man sees a girl with big boobs and bum, the first thing that comes to their mind is sex. I think it’s like a normal thing to them. I feel sad because you should be interested more in knowing a woman than having sex with her.

How does it make you feel?

When men see me as a sex object I feel bad because they don’t see beyond that. I am not a sex object.

What is the best part of being a plus size model and fashion designer?

I think the best part is to be able to design something. Most Nigerian plus-size designers are boring. People see fat girls like people who cannot have fun, so I try to make outfits they can wear wherever they want to.

What is the weirdest message you have gotten in your DM?

I get a lot of messages from men every day, some crazy inbox messages. Some walk up to you, telling you they like you, but I know what they want is sex. The weirdest message I have ever gotten was a guy saying he wants to have a taste of my bum

When you are not working, what is your favorite thing to wear?

If I am at home, I like to be naked I don’t know why.

Do you think being curvy is an advantage?

I think If I were to be slim, I won’t be here today. I will just be another girl. Being curvy has made me realise my self-worth and to reach out to people because I am naturally a shy person. It has made me a bolder person”.

There is this believe that curvy women are better in bed than slim women .What do you think about that?

I cannot speak for everybody, but I think curvy girls are nasty in bed. I don’t know If they are better, but they are crazier in bed. I think curvy girls just like to give their all when it comes to love making. They are very crazy

What projects are you working on?

I am going to showcase my outfits at the Plus-size fashion week coming up in November.
