  • Fani-Kayode to Pres. Buhari: Do not set Nigeria on fire

As the 2019 general elections draw near, former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to avoid any attempts by him or his cronies to rig the elections.

Fani-Kayode made this known in a statement on Thursday stressing, “Any attempt by Buhari to rig the 2019 elections with underage voters and falsification of results will be met with brutal and unrelenting force and resistance from the people”.

“Buhari, think hard before you rig and be ready to pay the price if u do. Do not set Nigeria on fire!” he urged the president.

Earlier, the former aviation minister had said President Buhari will fail in his bid to contest the 2019 presidential elections.

“Buhari has declared his intention to seek for a fresh mandate. He should prepare himself for the biggest demystification in Nigeria’s history.

“A man whose legacy is nothing but blood, death, destruction, corruption, division, conflict, failure and carnage wants to run. He will fail,” Fani-Kayode said.

Fani-Kayode’s comment on Buhari vs Obasanjo

Commenting on the battle between Buhari and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Fani-Kayode narrated “Obasanjo was in power from 1976 to 1979. He did very well and he handed over power to a democratically elected government.

“Buhari toppled that government in 1983 and terrorised and killed Nigerians for 2 years until he himself was removed in a military coup by his colleagues in the army”.

He opined that the greatest mistake Obasanjo made in his democratic administration was not to prosecute and jail Buhari for looting Petroleum (Special) Trust Fund (PTF) funds during his regime as military Head of State.

“I saw the report and it was shocking,” Fani-Kayode said, adding, “Billions of dollars had vanished. Obasanjo summoned him and showed him the damning report. Buhari begged like a baby. Sadly Obasanjo let him off the hook”.

“Obasanjo was elected President in 1999 and remained in power till 2007. He did exceptionally well, repaired and strengthened our economy, built up our foreign reserves, paid off our foreign debts, restored our pride and reputation in the international community and so much more.

“Buhari was elected President in 2015 and divided the country, destroyed our economy, preached hatred, presided over genocide, stole money and hunted his perceived enemies like animals.

“Buhari is not 10 per cent of the man that Obasanjo is. When compared to Obasanjo, Buhari is nothing,” he further stated.

  • N26m scam: Absence of witness stalls Fani-Kayode’s trial

The trial of Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation was on Tuesday stalled at the Federal High Court, Abuja, due to absence of a prosecution witness.

Fani-Kayode was docked by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on a 5-count charge bordering on money laundering and criminal breach of trust,

The prosecutor, Mrs Ashibi Anedu, told the court that the matter was for continuation of trial, but unfortunately the witness was absent.

She said that the witness, Mr Francis Abu, was with them on Monday, but just when they were about to start the pre-trial, the “man excused himself and went out.’’

Anebu said that they made frantic efforts to reach him on phone but all to no avail.

She also said that the investigators equally made efforts to get to the witness but could not reach him.

The prosecutor made an application pursuant to Section 241 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, (ACJA) 2015, for a witness summons to be officially served on the witness.

“We humbly apologise that the matter cannot go on today. May the court grant our application,’’ Anedu said.

The defence counsel, Mr Victor Okwudiri, did not oppose the application for adjournment.

Justice John Tsoho asked the prosecution to furnish the court with the name and address of the witness, and ordered that a witness summons be served on him.

Tsoho adjourned the matter until Sept. 24 for continuation of trial.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that Fani-Kayode was arraigned by the EFCC on a five-count charge bordering on money laundering.

The ex-aviation minister was accused of collecting N26 million from the Office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki and using same for media campaign, contrary to Section 15 (2) (b) of the Money Laundering Act.

He pleaded not guilty and was admitted to bail in the sum of N50 million and one surety in like sum.

  • Transmission speech: IGP Idris says video doctored

The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris Kpotun has said the viral video of his transmission speech that tumbled social media in the course of the week was doctored.

IGP Idris defended the transmission speech video in a #AskThePolice TweetChat that was personally anchored by the IGP himself on Twitter on Thursday.

“Thank you for your question. Yes it was doctored,” he responded when he was asked: “I saw a video yesterday on social media about the Inspector General of Police not able to read his own speech. Some of us suspect it is a doctored video, can you clarify that please?”

However, reactions continued to trail the IGP’s response all through the course of the TweetChat as participants continued to prod the IGP for the Police to actually clear the air by posting the undoctored video.

TheNewsGuru reports the IGP’s transmission speech incidence happened in Kano on Monday, May 14, 2018, where he went to commission the Force Technical Intelligence Unit.

“I mean, transmission, I mean effort, that the transmission cooperation to transmission, I mean transmission to have effect, ehm, apprehend, I mean, apprehensive towards the recommendation, recommended formation effective and effect, I mean, apprehensive at the transmission of… and transmission and transmission for the effective in the police command,” Idris babbled in the video.

After several attempts to get his speech right, the IGP, struggling with his paper, apologised to his audience. “Sorry, I’m sorry please,” he said.

However, Ibrahim’s struggle did not end there. A man in suit joins him to help hold down his script, and even helped with the pronunciation of the words. But this didn’t make the reading any better for the IGP.

“All effective the transmission, other transmission, I can state without contradiction that I have commissioned what?

“Over transmission of, over transmission of, over all kidnapping, armed robbery and other heinous crimes, I mean, ehm, commission transmission, recommendation transmission” he continued.

While many attributed the IGP babbling to dyslexia, former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode Fani-Kayode, on Twitter said the IGP was a victim of dark spirits and satanic forces.

“Our I-G of Pol. needs prayers and we must treat him with compassion. What happened to him whilst reading his infamous “transmission” speech was not ordinary,” the former Aviation Minister stated.

“He is the victim of dark spirits and satanic forces. We must not gloat over it or laugh at him. Instead we must pray for him,” he added.

However, a critical observation of the transmission speech video shows that the IGP actually made certain blunders in his speech in Kano; but, however, not consistently as captured by the viral video.

The video that went viral was actually clipped at intervals from the original video and merged into the whole.

  • Transmission speech: IGP Idris under satanic forces

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Thursday calls for prayers for Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Ibrahim Idris Kpotun, stressing that the IGP’s infamous transmission speech blunder was not ordinary.

“Our I-G of Pol. needs prayers and we must treat him with compassion. What happened to him whilst reading his infamous “transmission” speech was not ordinary,” the former Aviation Minister stated.

TheNewsGuru reports a video footage showing IGP Idris emerged yesterday with the Police boss finding it difficult pronouncing words from an already prepared speech before him.

The incident took place in Kano on Monday, May 14, 2018, where he went to commission the Force Technical Intelligence Unit, according to the Voice of Liberty.

While many have attributed the IGP babbling to dyslexia, Fani-Kayode said the IGP was a victim of dark spirits and satanic forces.

“He is the victim of dark spirits and satanic forces. We must not gloat over it or laugh at him. Instead we must pray for him,” he said.

On three different occasions, the IGP Idris has refused to honour an invitation sent to him by the Senate.

The IGP was mandated to appear before the Senate to brief Nigerians on the killings within the country and the treatment meted out to Senator Dino Melaye.

The lawmakers got angry with the police boss because he gave no reason for his absence.

Also recently Senate President Bukola Saraki raised alarm of plots by IGP Idris to frame him up.

There have been calls for President Buhari to sack Idris for disobeying an order given to him to relocate to Benue state during the killings by Fulani herdsmen.

  • Femi Fani-Kayode calls Emmanuel Uduaghan “idiot”

Femi Fani-Kayode on Sunday referred to former Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan as “another lily-livered useful idiot and accursed slave” after the former governor’s comment on looters’ list.

TheNewsGuru reports Uduaghan, who is an aspirant for Delta South Senatorial District, had on Saturday said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) put itself under unnecessary pressure by asking the government to produce the looters’ list.

“PDP started the trouble. You said the government should mention the names of those who looted the treasury and they brought out the first list, second list and the third is being awaited.

“We’ve given work to ourselves and people are now struggling to go to court to clear their names. We’re now the ones busy, trying to defend ourselves and the government is just laughing; APC is just laughing.

“So, whatever list you’re publishing, saying this is APC’s list of corrupt people, you’re just wasting your time.

“I always advise people to be careful when you’re confronting the government, because the government has access to a lot of information.

“There are things you might have taken for granted or forgotten and somebody has recorded it and it’s in the hands of the government.

“I don’t think the PDP should have challenged the FG on the list issue; it was a big mistake and we’ll suffer for it,” Uduaghan said.

Reacting to the Uduaghan’s comments, Fani-Kayode said, “Another lily-livered useful idiot and accursed slave has spoken”.

“To think that this man was once a Gov. on the platform of the PDP sickens me,” he added.

He will fail: Femi Fani-Kayode reacts to Buhari’s reelection bid

Former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has said President Muhammadu Buhari will fail in his bid to contest the 2019 presidential elections.

“He will fail,” were the exact words the former aviation minister used in reaction to news reporting Buhari officially announcing intention to run in the 2019 general elections.

“@MBuhari has declared his intention to seek for a fresh mandate. He should prepare himself for the biggest demystification in Nigeria’s history.A man whose legacy is nothing but blood, death, destruction, corruption, division, conflict, failure and carnage wants to run.He will FAIL!” Fani-Kayode posted on Twitter.

In a similar development, former aide to the ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has said, “The man knew that his 2nd term declaration is unpopular, unpleasant and unpalatable to the vast majority of Nigerians which is why he ran away to London as soon as he announced the news”.

“One would have thought he is contesting for @Theresa_May’s job the way he dashes to the UK,” Omokri added.

  • Former APC chieftain reacts to Buhari designation of Tinubu to bring peace to party

Former APC chieftain reacts to Buhari designation of Tinubu to bring peace to party

A former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Nigeria’s former Minister of Culture and former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari designation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to bring peace to the party.

TheNewsGuru reports as part of on-going efforts to improve cohesion within the APC, President Buhari had designated Tinubu to lead the consultation, reconciliation and confidence building efforts in the party.

The Presidency today in series of tweets revealed the Tinubu’s APC peace mission, which Fani-Kayode has said is a “mission impossible” and an attempt to bring the name and image of the Asiwaju of Lagos State and the Jagaban of the Borgu Kingdom in Niger State to disrepute.

“When a king wants to destroy his top general he sends him on a mission that is impossible to achieve or to a battle that can’t be won,” the Special Assistant (Public Affairs) to former President Olusegun Obasanjo stated.

Fani-Kayode was a member of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) until he moved to the APC, and then later cross-carpeted to the PDP in June 2014.

“Sending BAT [Bola Ahmed Tinubu] to settle differences between APC members is mission impossible. And the objective is to destroy him and blame him for its failure,” he stated.

    https://twitter.com/realFFK/status/960836117984694272

The Presidency had stated that the assignment of Tinubu involves resolving disagreements among party members, party leadership and political office holders in some states of the Federation.

  • Osinbajo covering up for atrocities of Aso Rock cabal – Fani-Kayode

Osinbajo covering up for atrocities of Aso Rock cabal – Fani-Kayode

Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has insinuated that the Acting President, is taking instructions from the “cabal” in the presidency.

Fani-Kayode also said Osinbajo takes pleasure in vilifying members of the opposition by publicly branding them “looters” and demonizing them even before a court of law has pronounced them guilty of any wrongdoing.

He made the statement in an open letter written to the Acting-President on Thursday.

It reads: “You have constantly condemned and warned against what you call “hate speech” in our nation yet you indulge in it more than anyone else.

“I say this because you constantly call others, particularly members of the opposition, “looters” and you take pleasure on demonising them before the world even before a court of law has pronounced them guilty of any wrongdoing.

“You also call them “plunderers”, “liars”, “clueless” and “destroyers”. If this is not hate speech then I really don’t know what is!

“You have stigmatised and criminalised every single leading member of the opposition PDP, including our leader President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, over the last three years and you have sought to paint us as reprobates and evil souls that are not fit to hold public office and that have destroyed the very foundation of our country.

“One of your most prominent and vocal sympathisers, supporters and leaders even called President Jonathan’s wife, our former First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, an ugly and illiterate hippopotamus! Are these sentiments not motivated by pure hate?

“Yet you know very well that all that you and your associates have said about the PDP and our leaders is not only a lie from the pit of hell but also a carefully crafted, purposely contrived and premeditated false narrative.

“Worse still you are fully aware of the fact that over sixty percent of your party elders and APC governors, ministers, legislators and public office holders were, up until three or four years ago, all elders, leaders and members of the PDP, including President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

“If the PDP was so bad why did you give those that came from there such prominent positions and key roles to play at both the state and federal level before, during and after the presidential election of 2015?

“You claim that those that are calling for restructuring are only doing so in order to get an appointment. You measure others by your own squalid standards and you do nothing but take shameless dictation from a tiny cabal of faceless shape-shifting reptilians, corpsocrats, bloodsucking demons and vampires.

“You cover up their atrocities and you endorse their wicked ways and their evil persecution.”
