Israeli’s fighter jets hit Hamas leader responsible for Oct. 7 terror

The Israeli military on Tuesday said that its fighter jets struck a senior Hamas commander who was responsible for the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks on two communities.

Nasim Abu Ajina directed the massacre on Oct. 7, in the Kibbutz Erez and Moshav Netiv HaAsara, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF).

The Israeli Security Agency (ISA) said in a joint statement posted on Telegram.

“In the past, Abu Ajina commanded Hamas’ Aerial Array, and took part in the development of the UAVs and paragliders of the terrorist organisation,’’ the statement continued.

“His elimination significantly harms the efforts of the Hamas terrorist organisation to disrupt the IDF’s ground activities.’’

The Israeli military on Tuesday morning also said it had attacked some 300 targets in the Gaza Strip in the previous 24 hours.

This included anti-tank missile and rocket launch posts below shafts, as well as military compounds inside underground tunnels belonging to the Hamas terrorist organisation.

A number of Hamas members were killed, the Israeli military said, during its forces’ ground operations.

BREAKING: Wreckage of NAF fighter jet shot down by Boko Haram found a year after [PHOTOS]

The wreckage of the fighter jet belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) that went off the radar a year ago with two (2) crew members on board has been found.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the fighter jet is an Alpha Jet aircraft marked NAF475, which crashed while on a routine mission in support of troops in the Northern part of the country.

The wreckage of the Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) was found by troops of Operation Desert Sanity on a clearance patrol in Sambisa Forest, Borno State.

The troops uncovered the wreckage of the crashed Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) on Saturday.

TNG recalls that the Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) crashed on 31 March 2021. Boko Haram claims responsibility for the crashed NAF fighter jet.

The fighter jet was on a routine mission in support of troops at one of the Theatres of Operation in the Northern part of Nigeria when it was gunned down.

The two crew members on board were later identified as Flight Lieutenant John Abolarinwa and Flight Lieutenant Ebiakpo Chapele, and they had since been buried.

Ukraine Crisis : America moves F-35 fighter jets, more troops to Eastern Europe

The Pentagon is moving up to eight F-35 fighter jets and a slew of other warplanes to Eastern Europe, the Baltics and Poland to shore up support for NATO allies following what President Biden called the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

At the direction of the president, Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III also ordered an infantry battalion task force — some 800 troops — to the Baltics, according to a senior Defense Department official. All of the troops and warplanes were already in the European theater, the official said.

The latest orders come as the Biden administration and its European allies called the Kremlin’s recognition of two separatist regions of Ukraine defiance of international law. Mr. Biden on Tuesday joined European leaders in imposing economic sanctions against Russia for what he termed as a violation of Ukraine’s national sovereignty.

The Pentagon said the additional forces are being repositioned to “reassure our NATO allies, deter any potential aggression against NATO member states, and train with host-nation forces.” The Biden administration has said that it does not intend to send troops into Ukraine, which is not a member of the alliance.

The deployments include the movement of up to eight F-35 fighters from Germany to several operating locations along NATO’s so-called “eastern flank” in Eastern Europe, a battalion of 20 attack helicopters from Germany to the Baltics, and an attack aviation task force of 12 helicopters from Greece to Poland.

Mr. Biden has already deployed 3,000 additional American troops to Poland and Romania.

Over 20 feared dead as fighter jet releases bombs on civilians in Borno

No fewer than 20 civilians have died from a supposed airstrike in Dabar Masara, a border town in Monguno Local Government Area of Borno State.

TheNewsGuru.com, TNG gathered that the airstrike occurred on Sunday afternoon when a jet flew over the general area and dropped bombardments in three different locations all within Dabar Masara.

The civilians, mostly farmers, were either on their farms or at the river bank when the tragic event happened.

Dabar Masara is a farming and fishing community located on the Nigerian side of the Lake Chad region in Monguno local government of Borno State.

“In one of the locations attacked, we were told that 10 persons were evacuated and buried that same day,” a source said.

“Maybe they mistook them for Boko Haram for which I won’t blame them, but those were our relatives and they were only out looking for their daily bread because even if they stay at home nobody will give them food.”

Sources claim Boko haram fighters have not attacked locals in a long time as, according to them, they mostly storm the villages to loot food or fish without harming any villagers.

This is, however, not the first time an accidental airstrike by the military will take place in the northeast where the nation has been battling the decade-long insurgency war.

Two weeks ago, more than 10 villagers were killed in a similar airstrike during a pursuit of Boko Haram insurgents in neighbouring Yobe State.

Security sources had said the Air Force launched the airstrike on Buhari village in Yunusari Local Government, north of Yobe from Damaturu, the state capital, while chasing the insurgents into the village.

Yunusari, which shares an international border with the Niger Republic, has an area of 3,790 km2 and a population of 125,821, according to the 2006 census.

Meanwhile, the military had yet to respond to the incident.

  • EXCLUSIVE: 64 days after, Nigerian fighter jet, pilots still missing; relatives allege conspiracy of silence

EXCLUSIVE: 64 days after, Nigerian fighter jet, pilots still missing; relatives allege conspiracy of silence

Sixty four days after two fighter jet pilots who presumably landed in Maiduguri, enclave of Boko Haram insurgents, nothing has been heard about the location of the pilots and jet till date.

Findings by TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) revealed that 64 days after the jet and its pilots got missing from Air Force radar their location still remains a mystery.

The jet and the pilots reportedly left for Maiduguri on April 1 but got missing from the radar and this has led to many questions begging for responses from the concerned authorities particularly the Nigerian Air Force.

According to the Director of Public Relations, Nigerian Air Force, Air Comodore Edward Gabkwet the Alpha Jet might have crashed, but the whereabouts of the two pilots remain unknown.

“Intelligence report gathered by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) indicates that the Alpha Jet aircraft (NAF475) that went off the radar with 2 crew members on board on 31 March 2021 might have crashed.

“The cause of the crash as well as the whereabouts of the 2 pilots remain unknown. The pilots are Flight Lieutenant John Abolarinwa and Flight Lieutenant Ebiakpo Chapele.

“Extensive search and rescue efforts are still ongoing by NAF surveillance aircraft as well as NAF Special Forces and Nigerian Army troops on ground.

“At this point, the NAF is not ruling out anything regarding the incident. It however remains hopeful that the crew would soon be found and rescued,” Gabkwet said in a statement on April 2.

Meanwhile, family members of the pilots are asking questions on why is it so difficult for the military to find both the pilots and the jet since over two months ago that the incident happened.

“There seems to be a conspiracy of silence on the matter. One of the Air Force Pilot Flt Lt Chapele is my Cousin from Aladja. 60 days no information on the whereabouts of the aircraft and the Pilots. You will think the jet got missing in the Atlantic and it’s difficult to locate the wreckage and the pilots. This purportedly happened around Maiduguri, so should be easy to locate in our local forests by farmers and other locals.” One of the relatives of the missing pilots in the jet told TNG

The jet and the pilots were declared missing from military radar on April 1 and till date there’s no clear indication of where they are and nothing is being said at least to appease members of their families.

More disturbing is the fact that the jet in question did not vanish from the air and did not cross over the Atlantic ocean so where is the crashed jet?

In some circles it’s strongly believed that there is a conspiracy theory somewhere along the line as no concrete answer has been given to the queries of members of the families of the jet flyers.

But when contacted, Director of Public Relations, Nigerian Air Force, Air Comodore Edward Gabkwet had this to say:

“The update is that the aircraft is still missing and we have not found the aircraft, we are still searching for the aircraft.

“The aircraft has been declared missing. We will not relent we will not give up, we are still searching. We will do our best to get the pilots and jet.”

Boko Haram claims responsibility for crashed NAF fighter jet

Boko Haram militant group has claimed responsibility for the shooting down of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jet that went missing on Wednesday.

TheNewsGuru.com, TNG reports that NAF had earlier today said the fighter jet may have crashed with whereabouts of its two pilots still largely unknown.

The Alpha light attack jet was on a mission to support troops fighting militants in Borno state when it lost radar contact on Wednesday, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) said.

Nigeria’s military have been battling jihadists in the northeast of the country for more than a decade and have recently been fighting them in their stronghold in Sambisa forest in Borno state.

The video, which could not be verified as at press time, was released on a Boko Haram social media channel showing a militant standing on what the group claims is the wreckage of the jet. It shows the Nigerian flag and number NAF 475 on its fuselage.

“Nigeria air force jet fighter… was sent to Sambisa to fight the Mujahideen,” the militant said.

The air force said on Friday that the jet may have crashed. It said the cause of the crash and the whereabouts of the two crew onboard were unknown.

“Search and rescue efforts are still ongoing by NAF surveillance aircraft as well as NAF Special Forces and Nigerian Army troops on ground,” its statement said.

“At this point, the NAF is not ruling out anything regarding the incident. It however remains hopeful that the crew would soon be found and rescued.”

NAF commences search for missing fighter jet in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has raised a search and rescue team for its missing Alpha-Jet.

TheNewsGuru.com, TNG reports that the fighter jet with two crew members lost contact with radar around 5pm on Wednesday.

It was on an interdiction mission in support of ground troops in the ongoing counter-insurgency operations in Borno State, where Boko Haram is hottest.

Meanwhile, the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Oladayo Amao visited Borno State where he was briefed on the incident.

Amao, who arrived in the state barely a day after the incident occurred on Wednesday evening, was briefed on ongoing search and rescue efforts in connection with the missing aircraft.

He appealed to NAF pilots, engineers, and technicians on the ground to remain undeterred and resolute in their commitment to ensuring that peace was returned to the North East.

NAF Director of Public Relations and Information Edward Gabkwet dismissed insinuations that the aircraft was gunned down by terrorists.

He said: “Rescue and search mission has started and whatever we find out will be made public. So we should discountenance with all the insinuations,” he added.

  • BREAKING: Syria downs Israeli fighter jet

An Israeli F-16 fighter has been shot down by Syrian anti-aircraft fire on a raid to destroy Iranian facilities allegedly responsible for launching a drone into Israel.

The Israeli military claims it shot down the drone and struck Iranian targets in Syria after what it called a “severe and irregular violation of Israeli sovereignty”.

The military says its planes faced heavy anti-aircraft counter fire from Syria that forced Israeli pilots to abandon an F-16 jet that crashed in the Jezreel valley in northern Israel. It said the pilots were injured and evacuated to hospital. Sirens sounded in northern Israel as a result of Syrian fire.

It was one of the most serious incidents involving Israel, Iran and Syria since the start of the Syrian civil war almost eight years ago.

Israeli military spokesman Jonathan Conricus said on Twitter that Iran was “responsible for this severe violation of Israeli sovereignty”.

IDF (Israel Defence Forces) has targeted the Iranian control systems in Syria that sent the [unmanned aircraft] into Israeli airspace. Massive Syrian anti-air fire, one F16 crashed in Israel, pilots safe,” Israeli military spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus said on Twitter on Saturday.

According to a separate military statement, Israeli forces had identified an “Iranian UAV” launched from Syria and intercepted it in Israeli airspace with a combat helicopter.

The military was “monitoring events and is fully prepared for further action”.

Syrian state media said air defences opened fire in response to an Israeli act of “aggression” against a military base on Saturday and hit “more than one plane”, citing a military source.

The Israeli enemy entity at dawn today conducted a new aggression against one of the military bases in the central region. Our air defences confronted it and hit more than one plane,” the unidentified military source said.

The Israeli military denied more than one plane had been hit.

Israel’s chief military spokesman, Brigadier General Ronen Manelis, said Israel held Iran directly responsible for the incident.

This is a serious Iranian attack on Israeli territory. Iran is dragging the region into an adventure in which it doesn’t know how it will end,” he said. “Whoever is responsible for this incident is the one who will pay the price.”

The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, paid a rare visit to the Israel-Syria front on Tuesday and warned Israel’s enemies not to “test” its resolve. He did not mention by name Iran or its Lebanese militia ally, Hezbollah, both main players in Syria’s civil war.

Netanyahu has been cautioning against any attempt by Iran to deepen its military foothold in Syria or construct missile factories in neighbouring Lebanon.
