    I contemplated suicide at some point– Flavour’s baby mama, Anna Banner

    Former Beauty Queen, Anna Banner shocked many when she revealed that she contemplated suicide while battling some struggles and challenges at some point in her life.

    Anna Banner, who is also a baby mama to Nigerian singer, Flavour, via her Instagram story on Monday narrated how she was depressed and thought of taking her life after having a baby for the singer at 20.

    She disclosed that she lost her self-confidence, was ashamed of her body and also mortified by some of the decisions she made as an unmarried young lady.

    The former beauty noted that for six years she has had bad birthday experiences, but added that this year will be a reminder of all she’s been able to pull through.

     

    “For almost six years, now I have had sad birthday experiences, it was pretty but also frustrating.

    “Honestly, no one sees the silent struggles and pain we all go through! All we get on social media are likes and comments from people that like you admire you or even hate you.

    “We don’t have it all. I was suicidal at some point in my life! I never knew what depression was not until I experienced it. It wasn’t pretty at all, I was ashamed of my body and the decisions I made.

     

    “I literally lost myself and I screamed silently for help but no one but God could hear me.

    “I had a beautiful baby girl at 20. Considered quitting school many times because it was too much for me to handle mentally.

    “These are not even half of the struggle but I came out stronger. Someone out there might be going through worse but I can confidently tell you not to give up because God is working silently,” she said

    Popular Nigerian singer, Flavour N’abania, has opened up on how he felt kissing Chidinma, his colleague.

    Flavour’s relationship with Chidinma has always been queried by fans after they kissed on set and their pictures surfaced online.

    Flavour in an interview with BBC Igbo, said he is in good terms with Chidimma, adding that their relationship is professional.

    The highlife crooner said that their romantic display was only for the song released.

    “My connection to Chidinma is terrible. We kissed on TV, and it was awesome because the music we played at the time was love music.

    “Kissing is like acting to show what we’re reading is awesome.

    “It’s like when someone dies in a movie. The person didn’t really die because you’ll see him in another movie,” Flavour said.

    Social media has been awash with news that highlife singer, Flavour has welcomed his third child with his first baby mama Sandra Okagbue.

     

    Several online mediums had earlier reported that much to his second baby mama Anna Banner’s disappointment, Flavour’s unceasing relationship with Sandra never was never over and this time ended in a son.

     

    Rumour has it that the talented singer may have secretly tied the knots with Sandra.

     

    Amazingly, the singer’s management are yet to comment or deny on the trending news.

     

    Flavour and Sandra supposedly welcomed their son in a Texas hospital a few days ago.

    Flavour began his musical career as a drummer for a local church in his hometown of Enugu State. He is popularly known across Africa and the world for his hit song “Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)”. He is currently signed to 2nite Entertainment.

  • Gordons, Tekno, Flavour others escape death in plane mishap[Video]

    The trio of Gordons, Tekno and Flavour have a lot to be grateful for at the moment. The sought after entertainers reportedly survive an airplane mishap today.

    According a video shared on his Instagram page, Gordons narrated how the flight they boarded developed fault while flying.

    An emotional Gordons said:”Please help me praise God and thank him today. God delivered me, Flavour, Tekno and their band boys together with some other people who flew with us from Lagos to Accra today. God delivered us from air accident. Eight minutes into our flight to Accra, the pilot announced our plane developed fault”.

    Back in 2012, Timi Dakolo took to his Twitter page to recount how escaped death in Yakowa helicopter crash.

    Flavour’s concert: NGO tackles singer on keeping mum over alleged gang rapes

    For a while now, Nigerians have berated high-life singer, Flavour for keeping mum over the alleged gang rapes that took place at his concert held at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu on Saturday.

    Attendees of the concert took to social media alleging cases of mass gang rapes. They claimed that they witnessed some ladies being ravished by hoodlums during the show, which was reportedly attended by the state Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.

    Esther Ijewere, coordinator of the rape advocacy initiative, Walk Against Rape{WAR} said it is shocking that the celebrated pop star is yet to issue an official statement on the alleged gang rape incidents that took place at his illustrious concert last Saturday.

    Speaking in an exclusive chat with TheNewsGuru, she said:” First I tried to verify the story, reached out to the main witness who brought it to the front burner to confirm .After a long chat with her, I was left in shock hearing how these victims were ripped off their clothes and gang raped. I can’t begin to imagine the pain they are going through right now.

    “Flavour should have put out a press statement, either directly or through his management. He ought to have allayed the fears of his fans and the victims, putting out a statement to show that the case will be investigated and also encourage the victims to speak up and let them realise they are not alone”.

    Speaking further, she said she is upset at the singer’s body language over the issue.

    “I am highly disappointed to see that a man who is also a father to two girls has turned the other cheek to such a sensitive issue”.

    TheNewsGuru conducted a check on the singer’s Instagram page, from our findings the award winning entertainer is yet to address the issue. Rather, he has been posting pictures from his daily activities.

    Flavour’s Enugu concert: Police calls on alleged rape victims

    Following reports that some attendees of a concert organised by high-life singer, Flavour were allegedly gang raped, the State’s Police command has called on the victims to testify.

    Punch reports that the Enugu State Police Command had on Wednesday called on residents who were victims to come forward and testify.

    The command hinted that no victim had yet to report to any of its divisions, declaring that it was not cognizant of any rape case during the concert which held at the Michael Okpara Square last Saturday .

    Recall that TheNewsGuru had reported that some attendees of the controversial concert alleged gang rapes occurred at the event.

    Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, the state Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement had said investigation had not established any case of rape.

    He stated that policemen were deployed in the concert to provide security, adding that the claim was doubtful.

    Hear him: “The report (of the gang rapes), which is based on a Twitter message on the social media, is unfounded and we cannot operate on speculations as a law enforcement agency.

    “Till now, nobody has come forward to report any case of sexual assault or molestation and rape to the command.

    “However, our doors in the command, divisional headquarters and stations all over the state are open to anybody or group to make a report and we will take it up from there by doing further investigation.

    “There is no reported case of rape anywhere in the Enugu State Police Command.

    “We don’t have any incident arising from that event. Whoever has any should come forward, and we will look into it,” he told Punch.

    Rape allegations trail Flavour’s concert in Enugu

    Attendees of Flavour‘s concert in Enugu returned with reports of sexual harassment.

    The contemporary highlife singer hosted a free concert, “Flavour of Africa,” at the Michael Okpara Square in Enugu in conjunction with Life Continental Lager Beer.

    The talented singer gave back to fans in the city he started his music career.

     

    However, some attendees of the show have lamented that ladies were sexually harassed and raped at the free concert.

    Twitter users @Naturize9 and @ Adedotvn, recounted that they witnessed sexual abuse and rape at the event.

    Recall that same occurrence happened during Phyno‘s concert, PhynoFest, in Enugu in 2017.

     

    In their reaction, Enugu State Police Command, said it is investigating the alleged rape and has apprehended 4 people who attended the concert.

    However, it is sad that Flavour is yet to officially issue a statement over the sad occurrences at his concert

    Popular highlife singer, Flavour has revealed why he decided to work with a certain visually impaired young singer, Semah.

    Last week, Flavour created buzz on social media about the official video of an album they both collaborated on called Power and Glory.

     

    When asked why he collaborated with the talented visually impaired young man, he said:“I was introduced to Semah through Masterkraft and traditional Queen Ruler, Juli Endee, during my trip to Liberia last year. Semah performed at the Liberia Peace Cultural Centre. His vocals, intonation and confidence blew me away.

    When it comes to music, impairments do not exist, as for me, music is spiritual. Therefore, there are no limitations as to whom I choose to work with. Cobhams Asuquo is another extraordinarily talented producer and composer that I worked with on “Virtuous Woman” as part of my fifth studio album ‘Ijele – The Traveller.’ There are no bounds to creativity” he told Punch.

    Speaking on what he learnt from the whole experience, he said:”Working with Semah has been incredibly humbling. He is a vibrant young boy, who at a young age is very sure about himself and confident. I admire these qualities, which have made it a pleasure to work with him. I haven’t really experienced any challenge working with Semah. He doesn’t allow his visual impairment to hinder him in any way,” Flavour said.

    Back in December 2015, self-proclaimed Ms Kedike, Chidinma created frenzy on stage when she kissed high-life singer, Flavour at Phynofest concert.

    Social media was awash with different reactions, with many speculating that the duo are in a sizzling romantic relationship.

    Speaking in a recent chat with Punch, the singer debunked speculations about being in a relationship with the Ada crooner.

    Hear her: “I was never signed to Flavour’s record company and I wasn’t in a relationship with him. However, I have been involved in some projects with him because we have a good chemistry. Working with him is fun and less stressful.”

     

    Chidinma who has been linked romantically with Kiss Daniel also didn’t give any definite clue about her alleged romance with him.

    According to her: “I don’t like to speak about my relationship or love life in public. There is nothing to talk about me and Kiss Daniel; people can say anything they want to say. Whether I am in a relationship with him or not, everyone will get to know later. I find it weird that I am always linked to one musician or the other. At times, it takes extra effort for me to convince people that certain reports about me are untrue”.
