Former Real Madrid defender Vinicius Tobias recently had a tattoo of his baby’s name on his arm, only to later find out that he is not the biological father.

The 20-year-old Brazilian right-back, currently playing for Shakhtar Donetsk, and his ex-wife, Ingrid Lima, welcomed a baby girl, Maite, on October 8. To mark the occasion, Tobias got a tattoo that reads, “Maite, I love you” on his arm.

However, according to reports from The Sun UK, Ingrid revealed that their relationship had been unstable around the time Maite was conceived. She confirmed that a DNA test proved Tobias is not the biological father.

In a social media post, Ingrid addressed the situation, saying, “I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out publicly to give you an explanation.”

She further explained, “Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he. We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.”

As of now, Tobias has not made any public comments regarding the DNA test results.

Pogba a big disappointment, never learned to be a footballer – Scholes

Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has tagged Paul Pogba’s time at Old Trafford as a “big disappointment”.

The 29-year-old seems to be on his last legs at the club, as he is expected to leave once his contract expires at the end of the season.

Asked about Pogba’s imminent departure, Scholes told talkSport: “I was there when he was a kid and this lad has got absolutely everything you would want in a footballer and a midfield player.

“His physique, he can run. I just don’t think he’s ever learned as a footballer, he constantly seems to make the same mistakes over and over again.

“It’s disappointing, it looks like he’s going to leave. He’ll go somewhere, a manager will get a grip of him, and I think he’ll do really well, as he did at Juventus.

“For some reason, at Man United, it hasn’t worked out. It’s a big disappointment. You see what he does with France.”

Scholes though still believes Pogba has the talent to become ‘world class’.

He said: “People see him the wrong way. He’s a nice lad, he wants to work and learn. I hope he goes on and does really well. We all know he’s got the ability and talent to be world class.”
