  • Dapchi: Daddy Freeze slams Nigerian pastors over abducted Christian school girl

Controversial on-air personality Daddy Freeze has slammed Nigerian clerics over keeping mum on Leah Sharibu’s ordeal.

Leah Sharibu is the young Christian girl who refused to denounce her Christian faith for Islam.

After the Dapchi school girls regained their freedom, father to one of the abducted girls, Sharibu Nata, revealed that his daughter, Leah Sharibu was not released by Boko Haram terrorists because she refused to denounce her Christian faith.

In his usual fashion, Freeze on Instagram condemned Nigerian pastors saying they are quick to collect tithe from members, but are quiet on Leah’s tribulation.

“Sad to see this poor girl and her family go through this.

”Where are all those thieving Daddy GOs on this matter? Oh sorry, my bad, it doesn’t concern tithes.

”The only Christ they are about is the one that fuels their jets, buys their Gucci sweaters and funds the tomfoolery their ridiculous doctrine has shamefully become!”

  • Tithing debate: Allow God fight for himself- Obiwon tells Freeze

Nigerian gospel singer,Obiwon has told controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze to allow God fight for himself.

Obiwon made the statement in reaction to Freeze rejoinder to his opinion on tithing. Recall that Obiwon had earlier shared a post on Instagram where he wrote on the importance of paying one’s tithe.

Freeze in his reaction said:” Tithing was never a part of Christianity, if it were we would have had examples of believers who were, Greek, Gentile, Arab, Roman or Corinthian paying tithes or being admonished to pay. Tithing was also NOT a part of the first Churches the disciples set up, it was an addition to Christianity and is being propagated with much maliciousness”.

The Obimoo singer in his reaction to Freeze wrote: “Freeze my brother, I love you and appreciate the times you supported my music. Here’s my reply to your advice to me. .

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BckO1bJBXb4/?taken-by=obioraobiwon

We can quote scriptures back on forth on this tithe matter and I have quoted many myself, but such strivings would be fruitless, and we would be sinning in the light of 2nd Timothy 2:23, no matter which side you’re on. .

One thing I believe and you must know about Jehovah God, the Father of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, is that neither you nor I nor any human being for that matter can fight for Him. He is big enough and powerful enough to fight for Himself. My little experience with Him is that you allow God to prove Himself by Himself, in the course of time.

Jesus is jealous for His Church you know, so the matter of who’s right or wrong, who’s cheating and deceiving in the whole rouse of tithing in churches, will surely be settled; and it will be clear for all to see who’s side God is on. I believe we will see it sooner or later, in our lifetime.

So my own advice is, allow God to fight for Himself and prove Himself with His mighty acts. Of course He is looking intently and watching right now how we all are carrying on with this, especially in the light of the greatest commandment which He gave us, which is Love. .

I hope you get to share this too with your followers, so that they also will take heed and not err constantly with insults, dishonourable words and actions against individuals and against the body of Christ, which do not please God. .

For me I consciously chose to leave everything and follow Christ, so I’m glad to bear His marks in my life and ministry (Galatians 6:17). The life and walk in Him is too sweet and precious to give up for anything else in the world!

I wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

  • Who is Afraid of Daddy Freeze? – Femi Aribisala

    By Femi Aribisala

Nothing in recent memory seems to have affected the bank-balances of Nigerian pastors as Daddy Freeze’s exposure of the deception of tithing in the churches. Nigerian tithe-collecting pastors are up in arms, throwing every possible missile at him, including death threats. Jesus says: “Whoever desires to save his life will lose it.” (Matthew 16:25). Since Freeze’s exposure, tithe-collecting pastors have been spouting fire and brimstone, hopelessly trying to save their lives.

    Death threats

The assault on Freeze brings to mind the assault of Jewish pastors on Jesus when he also exposed their deception and hypocrisy. The upshot of this was the decision to have Jesus killed with extreme prejudice. Similarly, Daddy Freeze says a pastor, whose church he attended for 11 good tithe-paying years, has placed a death-sentence on him for preaching against tithing. The pastor “prophesied” that Freeze would die within 2 years.

Jesus says: “An evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6:45). You can easily tell that this so-called pastor is a charlatan masquerading as a child of God. Not only does he curse his enemies contrary to the way of Christ, even his curses are fake. Otherwise, why wait for two years for Freeze to die? Why not kill him right now?

    Apostle Suleiman

Perhaps that anonymous pastor learnt a lesson from another endangered tithe-collector: self-styled Apostle Suleiman. The “apostle” exposed himself by foolishly prophesying that Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State, would die within two weeks. Unfortunately for him, the Governor obstinately refused to die.

“Apostle” Suleiman is so riled up over Daddy Freeze’s preachments against tithing, he announced the decision to raise his tithe from 10% to 30% in retaliation. Clearly, the “apostle” needs to go back to bible school. So doing, he would learn that a tithe is 10% and can never be 30%.

Rather than boast publicly about fictitious increases in his tithes, his eminence the “apostle” should endeavour to listen to Jesus: “Be careful not to do your ‘acts of righteousness’ before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 6:1). “When you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:3-4).

    Paul Adefarasin

On his part, tithe-collecting Paul Adefarasin took the whole debate to stratospheric levels, the better to make tithing unassailable to fastidious bible scholars. He said: “God created the universe, he took a tithe: the Milky Way. God created the Milky Way, he took a tithe: the Galaxy. God created the Galaxy, he took a tithe: our Solar System. God created the Solar System, he took a tithe: Planet Earth. God created the Planet Earth, he took a tithe: Israel. God created Israel, he took a tithe: Jerusalem.”

At this juncture, I began to wonder if it could equally be postulated that God created Lagos, he took a tithe: Adefarasin’s House on the Rock! Who ever heard of God paying tithes? By the time the erudite pastor waxed lyrical and refashioned Jesus as: “a tithe, holding a tithe, going into a tithe,” his congregation could not bear it any longer. They burst into wild applause which I took to mean: “This pastor of ours is just too much!”

    Matthew Ashimolowo

But the response to Freeze that took the cake came from Matthew Ashimolowo of Kingsway International Christian Centre. He felt so threatened by Daddy Freeze, he dropped his mask of holiness and became abusive. He told Daddy Freeze to “Shut up!”

Said Ashimolowo “ex cathedra:” “Some bunch of yoyo somewhere should not determine what we believe. Some guy who beats his wife, throws her out, throws his children out of the house should not determine what we believe. Not only that, he broke his own son’s knees while trying to defend his wife. Not only that, he drinks alcohol, sleeps with women and he is trying to preach to preacher?”

But, while we are on the subject, should Ashimolowo himself be telling anybody what to believe? Not according to Jesus.

Jesus says: “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” (Matthew 7:3-5).

Ashimolowo”s hypocrisy is mind-boggling. Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.

    Wealth transfer

Some years back, Ashimolowo advertised a crusade in Port Harcourt, captioned “The Coming Wealth Transfer.” This was based on the spurious pie-in-the-sky notion that God is soon going to transfer the wealth of non-Christians to Christians.

However, officials of the Charity Commission in England, an organisation which routinely polices the affairs of nominally non-profit organisations including churches, detected a more genuine wealth transfer taking place in Ashimolowo’s KICC. That wealth transfer was not from God to the members of Ashimolowo’s church: it was from members of the church to Ashimolowo.

The Commission discovered “serious misconduct and mismanagement” in the finances of KICC. It alleged that hundreds of thousands of pounds were dubiously transferred overseas. A £120,000 birthday party was given for Ashimolowo, out of which £80,000 was used to buy him a spanking Mercedes Benz. It was also reported that Ashimolowo used the church’s visa card to buy a timeshare apartment in Florida.

Should a man with this questionable CV tell Christians what they should believe and give? You be the judge.

The Commission maintained Ashimolowo acted as both trustee and paid employee of KICC, in contravention of British charity law. He allegedly approved suspicious payments and benefits to himself and his wife made to his private companies operated illegally from church premises. As a result of these irregularities, KICC was placed in the hands of receivers, new trustee managers were appointed and Ashimolowo was asked to repay £200,000 to the church.

The upshot of this was that Ashimolowo relocated temporarily to Nigeria, where he started preaching about “Sweat-less Wealth,” and “Twenty-Four Hour Miracles.” The latter required the gullible to give their monies, cars, televisions, stereos, cell-phones and even the Certificates of Occupancy of their houses to preachers in order to receive fictitious financial windfalls from heaven within 24 hours. A few of my acquaintances were scammed at these 419 “crusades.”

    Deceived-deceivers

God says: “Among my people are found wicked men; they lie in wait as one who sets snares; they set a trap; they catch men.”(Jeremiah 5:26). Daddy Freeze has put these tithe-collecting fraudsters on the warpath, fighting to defend their bank-balances. Surely, he did not expect them to surrender their meal-tickets without a fight.

Who is afraid of Daddy Freeze? Thief- and-robber pastors. The fear of Daddy Freeze is the beginning of mischief in Nigerian churches.

  • Daddy Freeze slams Apostle Suleman, reminds him of miscarried prophecy

Controversial On Air Personality, Daddy Freeze has reminded Apostle Suleman of his failed prediction when he once said the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai would die in 2 weeks time.

Freeze said this in reaction to Suleman’s statement that he has increased his tithe from 10% to 30%.

Suleman had in twitter post on Saturday said he had improved his tithe payment to 30 per cent, adding that “Satan should go and die.”

The OAP said he was now referred to as a Satan for holding his ground on the issue of tithing by pastors, while maintaining that 30% tithe payment had no basis in Christianity.

He wrote on Instagram, “Satan should go and die is now the new biblical defense for tithing?

“The association of Nigerian Theologians, according to ‘The Point’ newspaper, published on the 20th of November 2017, declared that Christians should not pay tithe.

“I will say that paying 30% tithe has NO basis in Christianity, but you can prove me wrong, by showing me one bible verse where our new High priest under the order of Melchizedek, Jesus, paid tithe, or where the disciples, our first pastors and GOs, paid 30% tithes.

“Now, unto other unrelated matters, that’s how one guy said one gov will die in 2 weeks and the gov is still hale and hearty, nearly 2 years later!”

  • As a mathematician, I doubted paying tithe, but God convinced me tithing was right – Adeboye

As a mathematician, I doubted paying tithe, but God convinced me tithing was right – Adeboye

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has spoken again on the raging tithe controversy sparked by controversial On-Air-Personality, Daddy freeze.

This time he said God himself convinced him that tithing was right for Christians.

Recall that in a previous reaction to the tithing controversy, Adeboye warned Christians against the dangers of non- compliance to paying of tithe.

However, the cleric, on Sunday, 3rd December, 2017 edition of his Daily Devotional, titled: “Open Heavens”, said the command to pay tithes on one’s earnings simply places a demand on the Christian to trust God.

Writing on the topic, ‘Tithing Is Trusting’, Adeboye said: “To experience exploits in your life, you must have a personal relationship with God. You must believe that He lives and love Him with all your heart. You must also learn to trust in Him.

“The command to pay tithes on your earnings simply places a demand on you to trust God. Your response to this command shows the level of trust you have in Him.

“If you can pay your tithes correctly, it shows that you trust God for your livelihood, but if you find it difficult to be faithful in doing this, it simply shows that you trust more in your earning than in God to sustain you.

“However, down the line, God convinced me by Himself and I observed remarkable changes in my life.”

  • Tithing debate: Nigerian pastors hacked my Instagram account- Daddy Freeze

Nigerian On air-personality, Daddy Freeze has revealed that his Instagram account has been hacked.

The controversial media personality known for condemning pastors and the payment of tithes made this known via his Twitter account.

According to him:”My Instagram account has been hacked.Instead of pastors to debunk my stance on tithing with the bible, they are busy hacking accounts. How Christ like. The truth is bigger and bigger than them. Even If I stop speaking now , the seed has been sown and watered with bible verses. The revolution has begun and it continues regardless”.

Recall that Daddy Freeze recently reacted to Timi Dakolo’s stance on tithing and marriage, which sparked a myriad of reactions on social media.

  • The bible does not condemn premarital sex- Daddy Freeze

Outspoken On Air Personality (OAP), Daddy Freeze, has said that premarital sex is not forbidden in the bible. The light skinned media personality said that there is nothing wrong with having sex everyday in as much as both parties enjoy it

Freeze made these statements in reaction to a statement credited to Amber Rose where she admitted demanding sex everyday from her 21-yrs-old boyfriend.

Daddy Freeze wrote on Instaram: “This post raises 2 fundamental questions:

“1: can you have sex every day?

“Well, the answer is yes, there are people who are highly sexed and enjoy sex everyday, some several times a day.

“So if you are one of these people don’t be ashamed or embarrassed to ask your partner for it, it’s what they signed up for.

“2: Is it ok to have premarital sex. Now this is not so straightforward. According to the ancient Jewish system based on the Torah, once a couple is betrothed, they can have sex, but cannot live together until the final marriage contract is sealed.

“Scroll through various screenshots I put up and do your personal research both historically and biblically if you have any doubts.

“Unfortunately there are no ‘hard and fast’ rules regarding betrothal and sex inside the Bible, but we are adviced against sexual immorality.

“What exactly is sexual immorality? Abraham, Solomon, David, Jacob and Moses all had concubines. Now a concubine is not a wife, neither does she share the status of a wife and nowhere in the Bible were concubines expressly annulled either by Jesus or by our first pastors; the disciples.”

  • Timi Dakolo, Daddy Freeze at war over tithing, marriage

Soulful singer Timi Dakolo and OAP Freeze are at war over issues pertaining to divorce, marriage and tithing. It all began on Instagran when Timi shared a psot, lamenting on

the rate of divorce and how people now make it look cool to leave their marriages without caution. Read here

In his usual fashion, Daddy Freeze shared a screenshot of Timi’s comment and wrote:

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BarX8xxD108/?taken-by=daddyfreeze

“So pastor Oyakhilome that got divorced is an incomplete person abi? A friend of mine nearly had his dick cut off by his ex wife. She tied him down in his sleep, If not for the fact that his younger brother broke down the door and rescued him, today he would have been dickless. I wish he had listened to TIMI’S advice and remained in the marriage with or without his penis, as long as he kept his vows abi? God punish bad people!

“I am a living testimony that divorce from a bad situation is a HUGE BLESSING, as in baba blessing, my entire family and I rejoice everyday, thanking God for the gift of divorce.

“If person wan kill you, no run o, siddon inside the marriage dey dance to Timi music”.

Timi didn’t mince words in his rejoinder. He wrote:”

    https://www.instagram.com/p/Barl9lvl3ub/?taken-by=timidakolo

Freeze, who couldn’t resist reacting, threw another jab

According to him:”@timidakolo unlike you, I haven’t waited all my life to respond to you, why should I? Who are you and where’s the sense in what you write or what you stand for?

You are a product of this same shallow doctrine yourself, the churches you perform at, where do you think they get the money to pay from?

You speak about marriage, how long you been married for? What do you know? You say I don’t have the right to comment on marriage, who gave you the license to comment?

I was married for 10 whole years, you dingbat! If I can’t comment on marriage, WHO CAN?

You call my teachings ‘demonic’, why don’t you back yours up with the Bible? My demonic teachings have full biblical support, how would you know? Do you read your bible?

You follow pastors like sheep up and down, is it now paining you that they could be giving more gigs to younger artists, and you are now crying on the internet?

Do you think I’m so stupid as not to know what that forlorn dirge you pasted on the internet about (ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE BUILDING YOUR DREAM OR THE PASTOR’S OWN..) stood for?

You say you give tithe and offering to God when you give it to a pastor, is that what God said in Deuteronomy 14:22-26 or in Nehemiah 10:38?
Do you have a copy of the Bible at all? I suggest you get yourself one.

I shouldn’t be educating you, but do read from Matthew 25:32 to know what it takes to “give to God” and ‘pastor’ or ‘man of God’ isn’t in the equation.

You don’t know shit about my marriage, so you have no right whatsoever to comment on it, I didn’t comment on yours, or how you are handling it, so don’t get personal, your life is far from perfect.

Typing in caps is shouting your words, NOT YOUR MESSAGE, which remains as vacuous as the writer.

You lost respect for me? I never had any for you! Sorry, but I’m not big on pulpit puppets.

Maybe if you spent more time writing music than writing for the blogs, more kids won’t be wondering “who’s timi dakolo?”

    #FreeTheSheeple

Timi however threw a subtle jab at Freeze with his indirect message.

  • Court approves EFCC’s power to freeze suspicious accounts

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed the power of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has the power to freeze suspicious accounts.

The court said the anti-graft agency can direct banks to suspend operation of accounts suspected to have been used for criminal activities, or any account of into which slush funds and proceeds of crime have been deposited.

The court, however, said such a directive by the EFCC to banks must be followed by an order of a court for interim freezing, which it must obtain from a competent court, to enable it conduct investigation to ascertain the origin of the funds.

The appellate court said these in a unanimous judgment by its three-man panel on an appeal by Messrs A. R. Security Solutions Limited, which challenged the refusal by a Federal High Court in Abuja to vacate an interim freezing order earlier granted against it.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja had on January 25, 2016, granted an ex-parte application by the EFCC for, among others, an interim freezing order on A. R. Security accounts with Heritage Bank.

However A.R. Security later applied to the court to have the order set aside, a request Justice Nyako, in a ruling on April 22, 2016, refused, prompting the company to approach the appellate court.

Justice Mohammed Mustapha, who prepared the lead judgment of the appellate court, resolved the sole issue raised for determination against the appellant.

The issue was whether the trial court was right to have held that the EFCC could obtain an order of court to temporarily freeze the appellant’s account, once the account is the subject of investigation.

Justice Mustapha said while the EFCC was empowered, under sections 28 and 29 of its establishment Act to trace, attach and apply for interim freezing order on such suspicious accounts, the court, under Section 44(2)(k) of the Constitution, was empowered to grant such interim injunction.

He said: “The respondent (EFCC) clearly bears the burden of establishing that there is a prima facie evidence that the property in issue is liable to be forfeited on account of its being proceed of crime.

That burden is discharged once there is an arrest for an offence under the Act (EFCC Act), and the respondent traces the assets and attaches the property of the accused person acquired as a result of economic and financial crimes. That done, the respondent is entitled to an interim attachment order by the court.”

Justice Mustapha agreed with the appellant that the EFCC must show that the origin of the suspicious funds is illegal.

He added: “If bank accounts have to be investigated with any degree of success for the purpose of tracing criminality in transactions, how else can that be done without exercising some degree of control over the account?

It stands to logic and common sense that any serious investigation of criminality in a bank account has to first and foremost start with taking control of the bank account or at least putting restraints on the account; anything short of that will be quixotic, because funds in the account investigated will simply take a flight. That is the logic behind sections 28 and 29 of the Act.

Prima facie proof starts, for the purpose of the Act, with arrest of the accused person for financial and economic crimes, which now denotes, at this stage, that the monies in the account are likely proceeds of crimes, and therefore, liable to forfeiture, thus necessitating the grant of the interim order.

It is for these reasons that the money in the accounts is fair game, because that attachment and proper investigation of such accounts will assist the respondent (EFCC) in prosecuting the accused successfully or consequently lead to the discharge of the order, depending on how the investigation goes.

The need for credible evidence, showing the money to be proceeds of crime, underscores the necessity for the respondent’s mandate to ‘immediately trace and attach’ the property.”

He added that the grant of the interim order by the court was to enable the EFCC conduct a holistic investigation on the account to enable it establish whether or not the origin of the funds in the affected account was illegal.

It has to be pointed out that ultimately, it is for the same reason that the grant of interim order becomes necessary, as it explains the necessity for the respondent to have, not only access, but control of the account, by having it frozen, anything else might end up being pyrrhic for the respondent,” Justice Mustapha said.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that other members of the panel – Justices Abubakar Datti Yahaya and Tani Yusuf Hassan – agreed with the lead judgment.

  • Funke Akindele slams Daddy Freeze over Halleluyah Challenge

Cool FM’s controversial On –air-personality, Daddy Freeze has continually condemned Nathaniel Bassey, the initiator of the famed online praise and worship service tagged Halleluyah Challenge. The light skinned broadcaster accused the gospel singer of leveraging on the success of the challenge to promote his music. Days ago Monday, Bassey released a new song titled ‘Olowogbogboro‘ which is an anthem dedicated to the Hallelujah Challenge.

Freeze puts it this way:” Totally saw this coming right from the beginning and I recall telling people it’s a huge promotion leading up to something. I tried so hard to explain that Nathaniel is building a big promotion platform, that social media is a powerful tool and you just have to know how to exploit it….. Interestingly, I was not even judging or anything…. I was actually impressed by Nathaniel’s ability to own Instagram space and pull off such publicity with the Hallelujah challenge

“I believed he was about to find a way to sell gospel music and I was actually hoping he will succeed. However, it’s always interesting to note that anything related to religion is not to be questioned or discussed on this side of the planet…. You are just supposed to take it and agree to it as it is presented to you without a single thought of your own no matter how intelligent or educated you are. In other words, when it is a religious matter, you are to set your brain aside. In fact, I was chastised by some of my people on the basis that it is wrong for me to see something about praising God and start thinking it relates to promotion or any money making venture for that matter…… I was even told the reason I raise queries about religious matter is that I don’t have faith…. The fact that I refused to lose my own sleep because of someone else’s money making venture even made it worse (yes, I refused all invitations to join the challenge). Meanwhile, here I was actually impressed that someone was about to find a way to sell gospel music” he wrote on Instagram.

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele who is a friend to Freeze and a staunch supporter of the Halleluyah Challenge reacted to his statement, urging him to focus on the positive benefits of the challenge.

“If someone gathers people together to praise God then it is a positive thing. If he is inspired to release a song it is positive. Let’s always look at the positive side of things o” she wrote.
