    REVEALED ! Full list of CBN Directors recently fired

    A significant number of directors who survived the ongoing restructuring at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) have been dismissed.

    The incumbent Governor of the CBN, Yemi Cardoso, has implemented substantial reforms, including downsizing the workforce, since assuming leadership of the apex bank.

    Previously, it was reported that certain senior staff members who served during Godwin Emefiele’s tenure were spared during the initial wave of layoffs that began in March.

    However, these individuals have now also been let go.

    Reports indicate that close to 600 employees are affected, and virtually all staff members in the Governor’s Directorate have been terminated.

    In the latest shakesup at the CBN, around 200 individuals have already had their engagement letters signed and will receive them in the upcoming days.

    Below is a list of affected directors in the latest shakeup at the CBN quarters.

    Iran Helicopter Crash: Full list of persons onboard surfaces

    A list has emerged of everybody onboard the crashed  helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has surfaced.

    The helicopter was involved in a hard landing and subsequently disappeared after making a return from neighbour Azerbaijan on Sunday evening.

    There were three helicopters in this convoy, two of which were carrying ministers and officials, and they arrived at their destination safely.

    According to reports, different rescue groups are moving towards the area to locate the missing helicopter.

    Fresh reports have emerged that  President Raisi and others on board with him in their own helicopter  all died in the crash.

    According to World of Statistics, those onboard the helicopter when the incident occurred include Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Malek Rahmati, and Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Ale-Hashem, representative of Iranian Supreme Leader to East Azerbaijan.

    The organizers of the Africa Muzik and Magazine Awards, AFRIMMA on Thursday released the 2023 nominees’ list.

    Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke professionalyy known as Davido has the highest number of nominations in this year’s category.

    Davido has been nominated in six different categories, including Song of the Year, Artiste of the Year and Album of the Year.

    Followed by Rema and Burna Boy, who grabbed three nominations each, while Tiwa Savage, Odumodublack, and Omah Lay earned two nominations each.

    AFRIMMA published the nomination list for the 2023 edition on its official website on Thursday.

    Full list of approved ministerial nominees by Senate

    Forty-five ministerial nominees out of the forwarded Forty-eight names by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu have been approved by the Senate to go ahead and be assigned portfolios.

    The three names stepped aside by the Senate are, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai; former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Sani Abubakar Danladi and the former Executive Director, Business Development at the Nigeria Import and Export Bank, Stella Okotete from Delta State.

    The confirmation of the appointments of others followed the screening by the Committee of the Whole, chaired by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio on the floor of the Red Chamber.

    Nine of the newly confirmed ministers are from the North West geo-political zone, nine from South West, eight each from North East, North Central, seven from South South and five from the South East.

    The new ministers from the North-West are Badaru Abubakar from Jigawa State, Mariya Mahmoud (Kano), Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo (Kano), Ahmed Dangiwa (Katsina), Hannatu Musawa (Katsina), Dr. Yusuf Tanko Sununu (Kebbi), Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Bello Muhammad Goronyo (Sokoto) and Bello Matawalle from Zamfara State.

    Those from the South West are Dele Alake representing Ekiti State, Tunji Alausa (Lagos), Lola Ade John (Lagos), Olawale Edun (Ogun), Dr. Ishak Salako (Ogun), Dr. Bosun Tijjani (Ogun), Olubunmi Tunji Ojo (Ondo), Adegboyega Oyetola (Osun) and Waheed Adebayo Adelabu from Oyo State.

    The new ministers from North East are Prof. Tahir Mamman (Adamawa), Yusuf Maitama Tuggar (Bauchi), Ali Pate (Bauchi), Abubakar Kyari (Borno), Alkali Ahmed Saidu (Gombe), Uba Maigari Ahmadu (Taraba) and Ibrahim Geidam from Yobe State.

    The North-Central has Joseph Utsev from Benue State, Shuaibu Abubakar Audu (Kogi), Lateef Fagbemi (Kwara), Iman Suleiman Ibrahim (Nasarawa), Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi (Niger), Muhammad Idris (Niger), Simon Lalong (Plateau) and

    Zaphaniah Bitrus Jisalo from the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

    Those from the South-South geo-political zone are Ekperikpe Ekpo from Akwa Ibom State, Senator Heineken Lokpobri (Bayelsa), Dr. Betta Edu (Cross River), Senator John Enoh (Cross River), Festus Keyamo (Delta), Abubakar Momoh (Edo), and Nyesom Wike from Rivers State.

    The South East has Uche Nnaji (Enugu), Doris Aniche Uzoka (Imo), David Umahi (Ebonyi), Nkeiruka Onyejocha (Abia) and Uju Kennedy Ohaneye from Anambra State.

    Earlier in the day, the Red Chamber had screened the remaining two ministerial nominees by the President.

    They are Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure from Kano State and Festus Keyamo, SAN from Delta State.

    Recall that Tinubu on August 4 revoked the earlier nomination of Dr. Maryam Shetty from Kano and replaced her with Dr. Mahmud-Bunkure also from the same state.

    He also, in another letter addressed to the Senate President and read on the floor of the Red Chamber, nominated former Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Festus Keyamo, SAN as the 48th ministerial nominee.

    In his remarks after the confirmation, the Senate President said the appointments of other nominees would be confirmed later once they are cleared by the relevant security agencies.

    The president is expected to assign portfolios to all the approved ministerial nominees.

    Full list of passengers who boarded Abuja-Kaduna train released

    The full names of passengers who boarded the ill-fated train have been released.

    Recall that Some unknown Gunmen attacked the Abuja-Kaduna train at Rinina, leaving many injured, while some died in the incident.

    Many were kidnapped, former Zamfara state deputy Governor, Mallam Ibrahim Wakkala Liman is still missing.

    Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi disclosed that no fewer than eight persons were killed during the terrorists’ attack ,while about 25 persons have been hospitalized.

    He disclosed this while on inspection of the site Tuesday evening.

    Meanwhile, Amaechi also added that some of the passengers were still missing.
