    The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Dr. Hale Gabriel Longpet (Plateau) as Resident Electoral Commissioner for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).  Longpet’s confirmation followed the consideration of a report by the Committee on Electoral Matters.
