Viral False Prophecy Video: Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin heaps blame on social media handlers

The General Overseer of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry, Effurun, in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has reacted to viral fake prophecy videos.

According to prophet Fufeyin the reports that he made a false prophecy wasn’t true.

However,  the cleric has now heaped the blame on social media handlers and influencers, saying that his prophecies concerning a young girl in a viral video was misinterpreted.

Fufeyin made the assertion during a press briefing held at the Mercy City on Saturday.

“I never, never misinterpreted any colours because it’s not today I started it. It’s because the people don’t understand.”

He said in the viral video which is currently trending on social media platforms, they claimed he touched a blue worn by a young girl and began to make interpretations.

While noting that the she was not only the young girl he prophesied to, Fufeyin explained that he “threw his handkerchief for people to understand the things from number 1-12 persons”.

“All of them came outside and I began to touch their colours and talk about it and the person will confirm it that it is so.

“I have been teaching all of them that very day. More than 10 persons I have interpreted their colours and they confirm it.

“I don’t know why editors just go and begin to edit what’s not true. So, I thank God whatever thing that’s going on in the prophetic. Nobody can stop the prophetic.”

He noted that the prophecy he gave concerning a certain man five years ago was also misinterpreted by social media handlers/influencers.

“They just go and and cut and edit the way they like it and post it to the social media and people begin to say is this thing like this?”

Fufeyin queried, “Why don’t you start the beginning of the story? Start from the story and let people know what’s going on. I told them, show the whole story that’s what I prophesied in that family.

“Ut’s not good. It’s dangerous for them to blackmail people. It’s not good.

“Anybody that did this thing (post) that story about that young girl, let them start from the beginning of the story. It’s all about prophetic training because it is called prophetic academy, the training that is coming up.”

Fufeyin, who expressed surprise at the misinterpretation of his colours and prophecies, added, “I am the one who told the people to zoom. I am the one who published it. They’re twisting the story the way they like. It’s a good thing to those people who are doing thing.”

He also disclosed that his church will be organising a ‘Prophetic Academy’ where people will be taught the interpretation of colours and write ups.

According to the cleric, “the Prophetic Academy is all about interpretation of colours and also write up”.

He said the Prophetic Academy will commence on May 7th this year and those who are qualified to attend are born again Christians, businessmen and the general public.

Fufeyin, who backed up his explanations with Daniel 5:25 in the Holy Bible, said, “Daniel was called as a prophet to interprete the handwriting of God Almighty.

“After the interpretation, the thing turned to prophecy. He prophesied to the whole world and how God was angry with the Israelites. They looked for prophets to interprete for them. God used Daniel to make everything easy for them.”

He said the Prophetic Academy is not only for interpretation of colours but for people who also need to prophesy. “In the prophetic, there’s no more borrowing prophecies.”

He added that he began his prophetic ministry fifteen years ago, when God started started teaching him the prophetic and how to interprete colours and write up.

“As big As this church, everybody can interprete your colours. Once they interprete it, that’s what’s going on around you,” he said.

Adeboye@82: RCCG GO narrates how he escaped death with driver

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, says he is alive because God is wonderful, recalling how he once escaped death by the whiskers.

He spoke at the Redemption Camp, off Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun, on Saturday as he clocked 82, with congregants celebrating him.

Adeboye narrated the incident, which many years ago, according to him, could have claimed his life, if not for a miraculous intervention of God.

He referred to an earlier narrative by his former driver of several accidents in which the cleric and his wife escaped death in various incidents on the way to Ilorin, Kwara.

Adeboye said that the most frightening was one in which their vehicle came face to face with a trailer that was coming at full speed on a narrow path, by a bridge which had a river by its side.

“Somehow we passed,” he said, noting that it was a miracle that they escaped unhurt in the incident, which left both him and his driver shaking.

Adeboye said the escape amazed his driver, that all the way to Ilorin, all he was repeating was ‘wonderful.’

“That I’m alive today is because His name is called wonderful,” he said, and prayed that God would be wonderful in the lives of the people.

Adeboye appreciated the church members for celebrating him, praying that none of them would die young, and that they would be greater than him.

He said that his 82nd birthday anniversary also marked the 38th anniversary of the monthly Special Holy Ghost Service organised by the church.

Adeboye thanked God for the lives that had been touched through the programme.

The cleric, at the event, went on to preach on the theme of the Holy Ghost Service – On Eagles Wings.

Preaching from Exodus Chapter 19, he said, “When God hears and takes notice of a person, the life of such a person changes for better.

“God can grab you from the lowest point on earth and put you on the throne.”

According to him, when one’s case is beyond any human assistance, the God who knows will send help.

The cleric said that all God required was faith and holiness, and He was able to give sweatless victory.

He prayed that God would hear the cries of the people, carry them on eagle’s wings and deliver them totally like He did for the children of Israel.

“Claiming that the Ford Foundation was offering a grant of 20 billion dollar to assist the less-privileged in the society.

“He allegedly beguiled his victims to subscribe as beneficiaries of the phony grant by asking them to pay for registration forms and clusters.

“Each subscriber was made to pay N1,800,000 (One Million, Eight Hundred Thousand Naira only).

“Through this arrangement, Ebonyi allegedly raked in N1,391,040, 274.31. (One Billion Three Hundred and Nineteen Million, Forty Thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy Four Naira, Thirty One Kobo).

“His subscribers are innocent and unsuspecting Nigerians and NGOs across the country,” he said.

Oyewale said that investigations by the EFCC showed that Ford Foundation had no arrangement, grant, relationship or business with Ebonyi.

“The Foundation pointedly disclaimed him and his NGO, stressing that it had no link whatsoever with them.

“The Commission has also traced five properties he acquired as proceeds of his criminal dealings.

“Ebonyi is still reportedly reaching his subscribers on some social media platforms to market his spurious grant from Ford Foundation.

“He would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” he said.

  • Pastor Adeboye remembers the day God threatened to wipe him out

Pastor Adeboye remembers the day God threatened to wipe him out

General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E.A. Adeboye has told of the day God threatened to wipe him out if he gets swollen headed.
He revealed that that is the major reason behind his humility that people see and talk about.

The popular cleric, who preached on “The Transformation” during the Thanksgiving Service to mark the first Sunday of the month of February, said he was afraid of being wiped out on account of disobedience.

He narrated his encounter with the Almighty God on the Redemption Camp ground at a point the camp that began in the middle of the forest, which he described as the headquarters of witches and wizards, was on the upward swing.

He said he was on his usual prayer walk when he heard God say to him: “son, bend down and draw the picture of a man.”

Adeboye said he quickly obeyed and drew the simplest image of a man.

According to him: “God said to me that I should wipe out the image that I had drawn and I quickly did so with my leg.

“God then said that the day you forget who did this great thing and who made you what you are, I will wipe you out from the surface of the earth and you will never be remembered in human history to have lived on earth.”

Adeboye then said: “I have heard people say that I am humble. Do you think I am a mad man? Do you think I want to be wiped out by God?”

He said he was a wise man and knew the consequences of disobeying the Almighty God.

He cited the examples of Saul, Reuben, Ephraim among others, who disobeyed God, committed sin and the consequences of their actions.

He said Ephraim, for instance, was rendered desolate after he refused to listen to God’s admonitions through His prophets. He stated that God lifted Mannaseh in his stead.

  • GOFAMINT General Overseer, Elijah Abina demotes deputy

GOFAMINT General Overseer, Elijah Abina demotes deputy

The General Overseer of the Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT), Pastor Elijah O. Abina, has taken a decision to demote his former successor-designate for causing division in the church.

Abina, in a statement issued by GOFAMINT spokesperson Pastor Taiwo on January 26, announced that Pastor Emmanuel Oluwayemi would no longer serve as the Deputy General Overseer (DGO).

Olwayemi has been relegated to an Assistant General Overseer (AGO) “in order to stem the tide of this unfortunate drift in the system,” the statement reads.

“The issue concerning Pastor Oluwayemi has been long on my table, spanning a space of about five years. His activities since he came to the office have had a very negative effect on the church,” Abina said.

“Way back in 2018, I noticed that the leadership style he brought to the office of the Deputy General Overseer was diametrically opposed to the servant-leadership style of Jesus Christ which this church is used to.

“This has led to division in the Church, which since inception, has been one united family. I raised this issue in a joint meeting of the Executive Council and the Advisory Board on August 1, 2019, during which I emphatically stated that I could no longer work with him as my deputy, and that I was convinced that he was not going to be my successor for the reason of the said attitude.”

“I have stated repeatedly that this is absolutely not a personal issue, but something that affects the well-being of the church.

“As a matter of fact, I know him to be very generous and charismatic but, he lacks the character of a servant-leader, and I have told him on many occasions that charisma without character leads to crisis.

“Part of his character defects is his desperate pursuit of the office of the G.O. This desperation is clearly obvious in his usual manner of taking official matters of the church to the public in order to whip up sentiments in his favour and to create resentment or disaffection for the church authority.

“All these events are unprecedented in the sixty-six year history of this church.”
