  • Gideon Okeke slams veteran actor Chinweta Agu

Gideon Okeke is a sought after actor in Nollywood. The young actor however shocked many of his fans when he took to his instagram page to condemn veteran actor, Chinweta Agu.

According to him:” You know him as the wicked uncle in films. But I know to check the sanity of my ears and eyes when he comes on screen. I am a fan of his and also a film person. But the measure of liberty this dear actor enjoys from directors and producers (within Nollywood) to improve vulagrities is not funny to me anymore”.

Gideon also urged the censors’ board to be mindful of the kind of films they endorse as suitable for public viewing.

“This is a case for the film and the video censors board. Watch Chinweta Agu again and you will reckon that he is funny no doubt, but the kids are watching”

Though Gideon bowed to pressure after his fans condemned him for writing such a post. He eventually deleted it.

Chinweta Agu has been acting for over 31 years. He was the winner in the first ever Nollywood Movie Awards 2012 for ‘the best actor in an indigenous movie
