Nigerian singer-songwriter and dancer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, known professionally as Zlatan, has welcomed a baby boy with his girlfriend Seyi Awonuga.
The Zanku movement boss broke the news on his timeline with pictures and the caption:

British rapper, Stephanie Victoria Allen also known as Stefflon Don, has asked why there have been more reported cases of black people who have died as coronavirus pandemic continues to hit the world.
There are reports that the black people are the highest hit of the deadly virus than other races.
According to Los Angeles Times, black and Latino Californians ages 18 to 64 are dying more frequently of COVID-19 than their white and Asian counterparts, as shown in a Times analysis of state health department data.
In a reaction, Stefflon Don wondered if anyone could give a scientific explanation to the disease as she is confused about whether to go along with what is been shown in the news or to fight for answers.
Hurtin’ Me crooner and Burna boy‘s girlfriend wrote: “Can someone explain the scientific reason on why ‘Black” people are dying of Covid-19 more? Or we are just going to run with the news. With no explanation?”
The Walking Dead actor, Michael Mundy has been jailed for biting and abusing his girlfriend and a fan from a horror convention.
According to Metro UK, the 52-year-old actor started dating Beverly Jackson, 41, eight years ago after meeting at a UK fan event.
However, the US actor returned to America and got back in touch with Beverly two years ago to ask if he could stay in her spare room in Manchester when he next came to the UK. Then in 2018, Michael attacked Beverly in a hotel room in Germany.
She said, “He hit me around the face, bit me on the hands, arm, and back, kicked me and threw me out of the room.
Beverly went on to tell The Sun that the abuse only got worse.
The British mum added: “I fell for him. Initially, he was very charming and promised to help me get into films. But he became more and more abusive.”
Michael was sentenced to a short jail term in November 2019 and was handed a restraining order against Beverly.
However, upon his release, he was called back to HM Prison Liverpool for breaching the terms of the restraining order.
Beverly admitted: “I fear he won’t stop until I’m dead.”
Michael has appeared in The Walking Dead several times as a zombie, making his debut on the hit zombie horror in season three. The movie is currently in its 10th season on AMC, alongside a further two spin-off series in the franchise which follows the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse.
Controversial singer, Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley has surprised Seyi Awonuga a.k.a Shigh Lofe, on her birthday by presenting a Range Rover Evoque to her.
Seyi is a talent manager and Zlatan Ibile’s girlfriend.
Sharing a picture of the ride, Naira Marley wrote: “@shigh_lofe happy birthday again.. I bought u this small car, well u said u want evoque abi? u deserve it sha fvcking hardworking. I’m gonna give u ten sexy b!tches to yourself today”
Seyi Awonuga is a young CEO of Bang Mewsic Entertainment. It was rumored that she was the one who signed Zlatan into her record label, and she was there with him all through the time till he started becoming a sensation.
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is marking his 78th birthday today. His church members who call him Daddy G.O, that is General Overseer (of the Redeemed Christian Church of God) are paying tributes to him. Politicians, captains of industry and many others who admire him are already showering praises on him like confetti.
In other words, it goes without saying that Adeboye is admired all over because of his pious disposition. He preaches against sin. However, the Pastor is humble and blunt enough to reveal that he was as lustful as every raw young man. He had girlfriends too.
This was revealed by Bisi Daniel, journalist, writer, public relations consultant and author of Stories of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, in a tribute (“Pastor Adeboye at 78: A journalist’s experience with him”).
In Adeboye’s own words:
“Before I was born again, I was a very rotten boy. I had two things going for me that made it extremely easy to have girlfriends. I was a sportsman and I was also a photographer. I’m yet to meet a lady who can say no when you say you want to snap her; I haven’t met one, particularly if you have the right kind of language.
Things like “Ahh, whoa! What am I looking at? Where has this sun been hidden? I have never seen this sunshine before. Do you mind if I record you?
You know the elders have a saying; they say the mouth of the old woman looks like she never sucked breast. Hmm, when you see Pastor Adeboye you think he was born a saint. No, no, no, Thank God for His power to change. I had so many girl friends that at a stage I didn’t even know the number. And for each girlfriend there was a birthday. I had so many birthdays, one birthday for each girlfriend. I am just telling you this to let you know that God can pick one up from the pit of hell and make him or her His servant. Among all these girlfriends, there was one that was closest to me.
But after some time we separated: she went her way, I went my way. She got married, I got married. But in the meantime, I had become born again.
The lady had a child that was born lame, so somebody told her if she took the child to a certain pastor he would pray for the child to walk. So she came to the mission house.
I was in the living room but she saw some people on the veranda who asked for the pastor and was told I was inside. So she opened the door and saw me. Laughter, laughter, laughter.
And you know what old flames do, ‘Aaaah long time no see? Where have you been, how has life been treating you, excetra, excetra?
When we finished, she said, ‘I want to see the pastor.’
I said, ‘Yes, I am the pastor.’
‘You?’ She asked, surprised
‘Yes,’ I said
She shouted, ‘You will pray and God will answer?’

Adeboye was born on 2 March, 1942 in Ifewara, near Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He went to the University of Nigeria, (UNN) in Nsukka but because of the Nigeria Civil War, he completed his first degree in the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1967. That same year, according to writings by his admirers on him, he married Foluke Adenike. They have four children namely: Adeolu Adeboye, Bolu Adubi (nee Adeboye), Leke Adeboye and Dare Adeboye.
“In 1969, he obtained a master’s degree in hydrodynamics drom the University of Lagos . He joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 and began interpreting Yoruns to English by Pastor Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi. In 1975, he obtained a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos. He holds a position as Professor of Mathematics at University of Lagos.
He was ordained a pastor of Redeemed Church in 1977. He became General Overseer of the church in 1981. For three years, he filled the role part-time at University of Ilorin before giving up his university position to preach full-time.”
A man has drowned attempting to propose to his girlfriend underwater during their “once-in-a-lifetime” holiday.
Steven Weber dived into the ocean to pop the question to Kenesha Antoine through the window of their submerged cabin in Tanzania.
Video footage shows Mr Weber pressing a piece of paper against the glass with the message: “Will you please be my wife?”
He then opened a ring box before swimming up out of view towards the surface.
Ms Antoine, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, posted the film on Facebook on Friday morning with her response: ”Yes! Yes! Yes!”
However a few hours later she revealed that he “never emerged from those depths” to hear her answer.
“We never got to embrace and celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives together, as the best day of our lives turned into the worst, in the cruellest twist of fate imaginable,” she wrote.
“I will try to take solace in the fact that we enjoyed the most amazing bucket list experiences these past few days, and that we both were so happy and absolutely giddy with excitement in our final moments together.”
Ms Antoine, a lawyer, added: “You were a bright light to everyone you encountered.
You never met a stranger, and you brought so much joy to so many people. You were kind, compassionate, you regularly made me cry with laughter, and you showered me with a love like none I’d ever experienced.”
She also wrote that a few days earlier he had described the holiday as a “once in a once-in-a-lifetime thing that people want to experience before they die”.
“I will find you and marry you in the next lifetime, and the next, and the next, and the next,” added Ms Antoine. ”I love you so much, and I always will.”
The couple were staying at a resort on Pemba Island off the coast of East Africa.
An official at the US Department of State said they were aware of the death of a US citizen in Tanzania.
“We offer our sincerest condolences to the family on their loss,” a spokesperson said.
“We stand ready to provide all appropriate consular assistance.”
The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, of Mashi local Government Area of Katsina State, Superintendent Mallam Garba Talawai,was arrested on Saturday in Katsina over the murder of Miss Rabi Abdullahi, 16, from the Salme Local Government.
A statement by the spokesman of Katsina State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, said the DPO along with one other yet-to-be identified policeman caused the death of Rabi, a housemaid, whom they carried inside his car, Toyota Carina II, red in colour
The statement reads: ’’One Abubakar Haruna a Councellor in Mashi LGA reported to the DPO Mashi, SP Mallam Garba Talawai, that a corpse was seen at a bush path in Mashi.
“The DPO and team went and evacuated the corpse to Primary Health Center, Mashi.
‘’Later the corpse was identified as that of one Rabi Abdullahi, ‘f’, aged 16 years, of the same address, only for some health staff on duty to identify the corpse as having been brought the previous day dead by the same DPO along with one other policeman yet to be identified inside a motor vehicle, read Toyota Carina Identified as that of the DPO’’.
It added: “The deceased was later identified as a housemaid to one Sadiya Alhaji Danyaya, a girlfriend of the DPO.
“However, the said Sadiya confirmed that she reported to the DPO that the girl was missing since on 19/6/2019 after she rebuked her for carrying unwanted pregnancy and for sleeping outside the house’’.
The Spokesman also confirmed that preliminary investigation has indicted the DPO for being complicit in concealment of facts with respect to the cause of death of the deceased and that the state commissioner of Police, CP Sanusi Buba, has already directed thorough investigations into the matter.
He added the DPO and his girlfriend have been arrested and are helping detectives to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased.
Meanwhile, another DPO has been posted to Mashi as replacement.
A male lover, Munado Tomworio, has allegedly shot his girlfriend, Victoria Ekalamene, dead in Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria over infidelity.
The incident occurred at Oluasiri, in Nembe Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the 28 years old lover shot his girlfriend in the face, killing her on the spot after accusing her of infidelity.
Tomworio reportedly held the deceased at gunpoint while querying her about an unknown man and suddenly the gun went off and shattered the girl’s face.
The incident, which occurred at about 11pm on Sunday unsettled Oluasiri community. Residents were said to have rushed to the scene of the disaster, overpowered and apprehended the culprit.
Sources said he was immediately handed over to the police for investigation and prosecution.
An eyewitness, who craved anonymity, wondered why a man would kill a girl he had not paid her bride price on suspicion of cheating.
“We live in a society that you don’t trust anybody including your own shadow. This young guy was a well-known respectful and jovial friend to all and sundry but proved himself to be a heartless evil doer.
“He raised his gun and shot this innocent lady called his girlfriend at Oluasiri Nembe, not any part of her body but her precious face.
“As a son of the community, he lives in Okipiri, Nembe. The offence is on suspicion of cheating; a lady whom you have not even paid the bride price?
“What a condemnable act and demonic wickedness? Brother, we don’t believe that you have such a wicked heart. You disappointed many. You must face the law,” he said.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Asinim Butswat confirmed the incident to The Nation, saying the suspect was being detained at the command headquarters in Yenagoa.
Butswat said: “On 14/04/2019 at about 2245 hrs one Munabo Tonworio ‘m’ 28 years shot dead his lover one Victoria Ekalamene ‘f’ after a quarrel at the residence of the deceased in Oluasiri, Nembe Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.
“The murderer’s weapon, a locally made gun and expanded AA ammunition were recovered from the scene. The suspect has been arrested and is being detained at the SCIID, Yenagoa. Investigation is ongoing.”
A Zimbabwean man, Shupikai Chikuvira, 29, committed suicide after his girlfriend refused to run away with him.
Chikuvira’s body was discovered hanging near a footpath in Mutawatawa, Zimbabwe by villagers, who called the police to the scene, reports Bulawayo 24.
Mashonaland East acting provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Tendai Mwanza, confirmed the incident on Tuesday. He said, “We are investigating the case of a man who hanged himself in Mutawatawa on August 4 after he allegedly had a misunderstanding with his lover. We urge people to exercise restraint and solve their misunderstandings amicably. It is, therefore, regrettable that a life was lost,” he said.
According to the police, Chikuvira visited his girlfriend, who was panning for gold along Mazowe River on August 4, and proposed that she elopes with him.
She, however, turned down the proposal, saying her parents had not approved of their relationship.
In a fit of rage, Chikuvira left the scene threatening to commit suicide and was later found hanging from a tree along a pathway leading to Chitsungo business centre.
