The Nigerian police has said that its Cybercrime unit acting on a petition at the instance of Hon and Doctor Mrs Seye Oladejo has arrested three persons in connection with a case of, cyberstalking, and threat to life.
ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, via a statement on Friday, said suspects namely Adebukola Kolapo, Nnedum Micheal Somtomchukwu and Isaac Akpokighe, all males of ages 27, 25 and 30 respectively are members of a syndicate called Gistlover family, responsible for the daily running of the Gistlover blog, a microblogging platform known for Cyberstalking, incitement, Blackmail, and sundry, which has over the years been a course for public outcry.

Upon interrogation, the three suspects denied working for Gistlover, however, one of the suspects said he created a fake Gistlover page to gain followers on his social media page.
The statement read, “Upon arrest the suspects revealed their various degrees of involvement in the conspiracy, corroborating the already available overwhelming pieces of evidence. The first suspect Adebukola Kolapo a.k.a Omo oba Gistlover was responsible for the creation of over 80 percent of the Gistlover pages thereby lending his digital footprint for the perpetration of the aforementioned criminal act.
“Being on the payroll of the said platform and having enjoyed incentives like car gifts and monies, Adebukola was saddled with the responsibility of scouting, editing and captioning content including the cyberstalking post made against the complainant, Hon. and Dr. Mrs Oluseyi Oladejo. Adebukola has also contributed to laundering monies obtained from the illegal scheme through various means.
“In more developments, digital Forensic analysis led to the recovery of eight (8) gist lover pages created on the instruction of the head of the syndicate by Adebukola, and wallet addresses used in laundering these monies.
The arrest of the trio has caused controversy across social media platforms.
“The Second suspect, One Nnedum Somtochukwu also shared in the conspiracy wherein at every point the page was taken down for certain infractions and violation of policies at the instance of reports from Law Enforcement Agencies, the suspect using his platform will by all means redirect traffic to the new page, helping the blog to evade sanctions.
“Enjoying incentives like referrals for promotions from the head of the syndicate, Nnedum has also been found sharing content, feedback, and making defamatory remarks with the said head of the syndicate.
“The Third suspect, Isaac Akpokighe a 30 years old male resident of Igando Lagos State unlike the duo above, is like hundreds of Nigerians who having observed the lucrative nature of the Blackmailing, cyber stalking and false information market, decide to imitate the Gistlover blog. By so doing, he created several such pages and mirrors the activities of the blog including reposting the defamatory and life-threatening post against the complainant and many other notable Nigerians. Digital forensics led to the recovery of four gistlover pages created by Isaac Apkokogho.
The police spokesperson said that the suspects would be charged to court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
He added that while strongly warning against all sorts of partnerships that promote the illegal activities of this blog and others engaging in similar activities, the Inspector General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, applauded the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Center led by CP Uche Ifeanyi Henry, as he reaffirmed the commitment of the Force to ensuring the safety of citizens in the physical and digital space.
A member of the National Youths Service Corps, Mr. Emeh Nnamdi, who was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for impersonation and defamation of character, has been arrested.
Nnamdi was reported to have been arrested during a joint operation by INTERPOL operatives of Benin Republic and Nigeria on Friday, March 3, 2023.
The 26-year-old corps member had been declared wanted on February 20, 2023, by the Anambra State Police Command on the offence of unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering, defamation of character, fraud, and impersonation.
He was also wanted in connection with allegations he made via his Gistlover Instagram handle, that top police officers in the state Police Command were involved in kidnapping, killing of suspects, and human organ harvesting after extorting them.
The Nigerian police Force had launched a full-scale investigation into the said allegations.
It was gathered that Nnamdi is an IT expert serving as a tracker in the Anambra State Police Command.
According to the report, the suspect is currently in police custody in Abuja.
The General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has reacted to allegations levelled against it by a popular blogger that he (Suleman) allegedly keeps several mistresses.
Recall that a controversial gossip blogger, Gistlover had published a list of women Suleman allegedly had extramarital affairs with on Tuesday, July 26.
The blogger also accused the Christian cleric of possessing diabolical powers, claiming he uses the actresses to renew his alleged dark powers.

Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke Faani, has taken down her Instagram page following an alleged worsening mental breakdown.
According to a popular blogger, Gistlover, the actress’s medical condition has gone beyond the bipolar disorder she was diagnosed with, in 2020.
The faceless blogger also claimed that the actress’s condition has made her team take down her Instagram page.
The actress’s Instagram page was discovered to have been taken down indeed.
The blog post reads, “Another sad news for Nollywood. God oo. This ija industry jazz too full am oo Kai. That beautiful woman. No wonder Dem help her deactivate her account. The first time them say na bipolar. Now it’s gone beyond that. God abeg ooo. Details later”.
The actress was born and bred in the capital city of Ebonyi State, known as Abakaliki.
She was born on 1 May 1993.
Chacha Eke grew up in a middle-class family that later relocated to Enugu state and subsequently Asaba, the Delta state capital.
Her father, Prof. John Eke, is a renowned politician, lecturer, and former Commissioner of Education in Ebonyi State chosen by the then Governor David Nweze Umahi.

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, whom her estranged husband, Opeyemi Falegan, an Ekiti-born politician, on Instagram accused of being a lesbian, is proud of her tight “kpekus” (private part), saying it shocked him.
The actress on an Instagram live video, on Wednesday night, noted that her tight “kpekus” was a shock to her politician ex-lover.

Reacting on Wednesday night via an Instagram live video Blessing spoke on why she walked away from the relationship with the politician ex-lover.
In her video, the actress describing her estranged ‘husband’ as ‘jobless and penniless honourable’ debunked the rumour that he built her a bungalow.
She also accused Falegan of being lazy, living off her and using her name to seek favours from colleagues and others.
“I can hit my chest with my mother in the grave that all the money I made from influencing was what I used in building that bungalow. You went to use fake page to DM a blogger that you built house for me. Do you have money?
“Have you built a house for your mother? Your mother doesn’t have a house yet you couldn’t buy her one. You that do not have a kobo now claim you built my house. Jobless man like you without a dime.

The whole drama began after blogger ‘Gistlover’, alleged that the actress slept with a realtor for an endorsement deal.
Although the duo were believed to be married, for the first time on Wednesday, the actress said she was never married to Falegan.
Aside from acting, Nkechi is the Group Managing Director of a real estate company, Ojulowo – Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.
The actress is being accused of dating the owner of the company.
Lately, the actress, who has a love-hate relationship with her fans, has been in the news because of her affair politician boyfriend and many controversies.
In his accusation, the blogger tagged Nkechi as Falegan’s wife.
Responding to the blog’s accusation, Nkechi, who was shedding tears, rained curses on the anonymous owner of the Blogspot.
She also attacked her ex-lover, insisting that the relationship ended in February when she sent him out of her hotel room.
In the same video, she told her over 2million Instagram followers that she has had female sexual partners and looks forward to having more.

But to the surprise of social media users, the two love birds disowned each other on Wednesday evening on Instagram.
Later around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, in a live video with her fans watched by over six thousand viewers simultaneously, Nkechi explained that “This relationship ended in February when I chased him out of my hotel room, but today something led to all these tonight.
When asked why she cried during one of her live videos, the actress further explained, ” I am a partner at a real estate Company called Ojulowo- Omoluabi Empire Holdings Limited. So for every land I sell, I know how much I get.
“So tonight, Gistlover published that I am dating the Chairman of the company, Omoluabi Estate, and that got me freaked out. But before I can say, Jack! I saw a video where Opeyemi was saying, ‘I am nobody’s husband and all,’ and that got me extremely angry, and that was what caused my anger and outburst.
“Meanwhile, I was never married to him, but because I call him ‘Oko mi’ Yorubas, take it that he is my husband, but he is never my husband.
“For Omoluabi, he is just a man always interested in business and business alone. When people like him continue to make money, people will think it is a money ritual.
“All some people think once they see you with the opposite sex is love affair or sex. Can’t this set of people think straight? ”
The live video lasted for several hours.
Nkechi Blessing got her first shot at fame when she produced her first movie, ‘Omoge Lekki’ in 2015, starring herself, alongside Yinka Quadri.

The much talked about sex tape of Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has finally been posted online.
The video was allegedly posted by Gistlover, a controversial gossip blog on Instagram.
Recall that a few days ago, Tiwa Savage said on a radio station that a blackmailer was trying to get money from her because he has her and her boyfriend’s sextape on his phone.
According to Tiwa, she says that the sex video was mistakenly uploaded on Snapchat. Taking to Instagram story a few hours ago, Tiwa Savage dragged Gistlovers.
