    A 30-year-old housewife, Hauwa Lawal on Friday allegedly pushed her co-wife, Zuwaira Sani, who is 35 years old, and her 18-month-old son into a well, leading to the death of the co-wife.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the bizzare incident was said to have occurred on Friday in Rurum village of Rano Local Government Area of Kano after a misunderstanding that resulted in a fight between the deceased and Lawal.

    After the police were called upon, the victims were removed from the well and were rushed to Rano Hospital where Sani was confirmed dead, while her son is alive.

    Confirming the incident to the News Agency of Nigeria, the Kano State Police Command said Lawal has been arrested for allegedly pushing her co-wife and her 18-month-old son into the well.

    The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, who confirmed the arrest on Sunday in Kano, said the police received a report on Friday that Lawal had pushed her co-wife and baby into a well.

    “The suspect had a misunderstanding with the victim in the process they started fighting in the house. The suspect pushed her rival along with her 18-month-old son, Mustafa Gambo, whom she was backing into a well situated in their house,’’ Haruna narrated.

    He said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Habu Sani-Ahmadu, ordered the tracking down and arrest of the fleeing suspect within 24 hours.

    “Operation Puff-Adder, swung into action and arrested the suspect on Saturday at about 1:17 a.m.

    “The victims were removed from the well and were rushed to Rano Hospital where Sani was confirmed dead, while her son is alive and has been discharged from the hospital. The suspect confessed to the crime,’’ the PPRO said.

    The PPRO said that the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for investigation.

    “Once investigation is completed, the suspect would be charged to court,’’ Haruna said.

    A 20-year-old woman, Makoduchukwu Ndubisi has reportedly stabbed her husband to death.

    The incident which occurred on Saturday took place in Nsugbe, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.

    The deceased, John Bosko Ngu, was allegedly stabbed on his chest by the wife with a sharp knife over a feud yet to be ascertained.

    Police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the incident said the corpse of deceased had been deposited at a morgue, adding that investigation had commenced.

    He said: “At about 8am today, police detectives attached to 33 Police Station Onitsha arrested one Makoduchukwu Ndubisi, 20, of No 16 Donking Street Nsugbe in Anambra East LGA of Anambra State.

    “Suspect allegedly had a scuffle with her husband, one John Bosko Ngu, aged 35 years of the same address and stabbed him on his chest with a sharp knife.

    “Scene was visited by police detectives and victim rushed to Boromeo Hospital Onitsha for medical attention but was certified dead on arrival by a medical doctor.

    “Corpse was deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy; exhibit recovered and the case is under investigation to ascertain circumstances surrounding the incident.”

    Housewife dies in guesthouse after marathon sex with boyfriend

     

    A housewife, identified as Josephine, has died after sex romps with her lover in a guesthouse at the Isheri Olofin area of the state.

    It was gathered that Josephine had gone to the guesthouse with her boyfriend, Augustine Dunkwu, and went into a room after consuming alcohol.

    According to a report by The Punch, Josephine fainted after 45 minutes of marathon sex, while the suspect allegedly dressed up and left the guesthouse.

    The receptionist, Punch reports, became suspicious and rushed to the room and saw that the woman was unconscious.

    She then cried out and the suspect was apprehended and handed over to policemen from the Idimu division.

    The owner of the guest house while recalling the incident said, “This is a public place and people come in and go out. We are not responsible for what happened.

    They came in and had drinks. There were several others here that day. After they finished drinking, they went into a room.

    I don’t know what happened between them; but some minutes later, he stepped out of the room and left the guesthouse.

    The receptionist observed that he didn’t leave with his woman friend and when she went inside to check, she discovered that the lady was unconscious and quickly raised the alarm.

    People ran after him and saw that he had already boarded a vehicle. We had to drag him down from the bus.

    The incident really caused commotion in the guesthouse as some of our customers fled. We alerted policemen, who arrested him and removed the corpse.”

    Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed that investigations were ongoing.

    She said, “We were told that the suspect and the deceased lodged in a guesthouse.

    The suspect later attempted to check out and was taken back to his room where the lifeless body of his girlfriend was discovered without any sign of violence.

    The corpse was removed and deposited in the Mainland General Hospital Mortuary, Yaba. Investigations are ongoing.”
