    My wife is ill-tempered, disrespectful – husband tells court

    A businessman, Saheed Rafiu on Friday prayed a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court sitting in Mapo in Ibadan to dissolve his eight year-old marriage to estranged wife, Mujidat on grounds of ill-temper.

    Rafiu, who lives in Odo ona Elewe area in Ibadan, made the appeal in his reply to his wife’s allegation of not showing her enough love.

    The respondent told the court that he became so irritated with Mujidat when she and her mother accused his own mother of masterminding the death of their first child.

    “My lord, after I became so frustrated by Mujidat’s disobedience and temper, I decided to issue her a divorce notice.

    ”In fact, Mujidat started associating with a particular bad woman in our neighbourhood. I warned her on this, but she ignored my warnings.

    “Worst still, her mother always take her side anytime I report her misbehaviours,” Rafiu said.

    He further said that his wife denied him access to their two children.

    Earlier, Mujidat in her petition to the court, accused Rafiu of not showing her love.

    Mujidat, who sales electronics, said:”I live in constant fear of her Rafiu’s divorce threats.

    “Although, Rafiu does not beat me, he no longer loves me. I can feel it”.

    President of the Court S.M. Akintayo, ordered the petitioner to produce the children in court on the next adjourned date.

    She advised the couple to avoid any form of breach of peace.

    Akintayo adjourned the matter until March 19 for judgment.

    Okporo, resident in New York, bragged that his wedding pictures will destroy the Internet in Nigeria.

    “I’m in Delaware with my to be husband, talking about our life together. I’m so grateful,” he tweeted.

    When told: “Happy married life girl”, Okporo replied, “Not yet married. I think my wedding pictures will destroy the internet in Nigeria”.

    When told: “So how can you multiply like that”, he responded: “The purpose of marriage is not to bear children but to share life with someone”.

    Uche Maduagwu blasts Anita Joseph, husband over breast fondling video

    Actor Uche Maduagwu has blasted Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph and her husband, Michael Olagunju for their raunchy display on social media.

    The display, which Maduagwu described as “shameful and repulsively preposterous” was seen in a video shared by the actress on her Instagram page.

    The video shows Anita on the bed showing off her boobs with her husband fondling them while she asked the question: “Who needs breast, hubby or baby?”

    While captioning the video, she warned fans to enter into a pit if it seems offensive to them

    “In case you’re angry about this post enter pit na oburo so’yi na apu Ala. Abeg na baby need breast just saying respectfully,” she wrote.

    Many found the video offensive with Uche Maduagwu slamming the couple.

    Maduagwu warned them to desist from acting like little kids adding such affectionate displays aren’t meant for public consumption.

    He also told them to apply a sense of maturity in their social media post.

    Maduwagwu shared a photo that captured the duo in their “small pikins” state with an inscription that reads: “Stop acting like small pikins. It is called marriage because no be all affection you display for the public.

    “Make we dey try apply small maturity for this beautiful union called marriage. There is a very thin line between content and palapala on social media.”

    While the post’s caption reads: “Please what MORAL lesson is this unnecessary display of affection in public teaching our kids?

    “Jesus wept Na understatement, this is alien to our culture in Nigeria, is this also for clout?

    “Marriage is honorable in God’s sight, squeezing the sleeping Olympus as if you no pay a bride price. It is shameful and repulsively preposterous.

    “How do you want your father-in-law to feel after seeing this video on social media, even if you paid 30 billion for her bride price, this is just so unacceptable, a man is the head of the home, Oga where is that in this?”

    A mother of three, Olamide Lawal, on Friday pleaded with a Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Mapo, Ibadan to grant her divorce on grounds that her husband, Saheed Lawal, engages her with too much sex.

    In her petition, Olamide who lives in Ibadan also accused her husband of being a drunk.

    ”Lawal and I have been married for 14 years now. He is an unrepentant drunk who has no human kindness in him.

    ”He devotes his time to beer consumption, beating and forcing me to have sex with him. He does not provide for my children.

    ”I cannot stand him anymore,” she said.

    She further pleaded with the court to restrain her husband from calling her mobile phone or visiting her apartment.

    Lawal, however, prayed the court to pacify his wife to remain with him.

    ”I am remorseful and turned my life around. I have stopped drinking alcohol. I am ready to start giving the
    children feeding money,” Lawal, a fashion designer said.

    Mrs S.M. Akintayo, the President of the Court, who adjourned the matter until March 1 for judgment, advised the couple to maintain peace.

    The police have arrested a woman, Oluchi Alozie, who confessed that her husband used her to seduce and lure men to be kidnapped.

    According to her, she lured the men to a lonely “love nest” where her husband and his gang members would kidnap them at gunpoint.

    Speaking while being paraded, she said her husband, Onyekachi Alozie, used her to lure Chief Okoli Precious to their residence at Nkume in Njaba LGA and later took him to a lonely place where the husband and his gang members kidnapped him to an unknown destination.

    Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Hussaini, said the suspect was arrested following a report of a kidnap incident in Orlu on December 8 at about 3.30 pm that Chief Okoli Precious (75) had been murdered by his abductors.

    He said the suspect’s arrest followed “a kidnap incident in Orlu on 8/12/2021 at about 1530hrs of one Chief Okoli precious ‘M’ aged 75yrs, reported on 12/11/2021, by his son, one Fabian Ubochi, where it was suspected that he had been murdered by his abductors.”

    Hussaini said the command’s anti-kidnapping unit tracked and arrested one Agubata Maxwel Joel Chimezie.

    The victim’s vehicle was recovered from Chimezie at where he allegedly took it to change the colour.

    “On interrogation, he made a confessional statement revealing how they kidnapped the victim and led the police detectives to the house of his accomplice.

    “On arrival at the house of the suspect, one Onyekachi Alozie on sighting the police jumped down from a storey building and took to his heels.

    “His wife, Oluchi Alozie ‘F’, was arrested.”

    According to the CP, she confessed to having featured prominently in lots of kidnapping incidents carried out by her husband and his syndicate.

    “She further revealed that it was the husband, Onyekachi Alozie who hatched the plan with his gang members to use her to lure the victim out of his house to a lonely place where he was kidnapped.

    “It may interest you to know that Agubata Maxwell Joel Chimezie and Onyeka Alozie met themselves in the Nigerian Correctional Service, Owerri, Imo State, where they were standing trials on criminal charges ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping and human trafficking, before 5th April 2021 jailbreak where they escaped, regrouped and formed a new syndicate of kidnapping and armed robbery gang.

    “Again, in the course of our investigation, it was revealed that Oluchi Alozie was having an affair with the kidnapped victim, Chief Precious Okoli.

    “Her husband, Onyekachi Alozie, was aware and used her to lure him to her residence at Nkume in Njaba LGA of Imo State, and later they moved to a lonely road where her husband and his gang members came out of the bush and kidnapped him at gunpoint and zoomed off in his car to an unknown destination.”

    Ikoyi Club suspends Alakija’s husband for allegedly assaulting fellow member

    The popular Ikoyi Club in Lagos has suspended Modupe Alakija, the husband of Folorunsho Alakija, over alleged assault.

    Folorunsho is a Nigerian billionaire businesswoman who is known as Africa’s richest woman.

    Modupe, who is a lawyer, is the son of Adeyemo Alakija, the famed Nigerian legal practitioner.

    In a circular signed by Bamidele Ibironke, the secretary of Ikoyi Club, Modupe was accused of physically assaulting and abusing one of its members.

    The notification said the suspension would run from December 2021 to November 2022.

     

    “The above-named member of the club is hereby placed on a one-year suspension for physically assaulting and abusing a fellow member,” it read.

    “Conduct injurious to the interest of the club, thereby violating Rule 9(C) of the club’s rule book. This suspension takes effect from December 1, 2021 to November 30th 2022.”

    Tunde Orungbeja, the club’s general manager, who also confirmed the incident said the issue is being handled internally.

    “[What exactly transpired] is an information that I cannot share with you. Whatever happened in the Ikoyi Club is basically an internal affair. It’s a private member club and it’s managed within the club,” he said.

    “If it’s anything that needs to go to the public, the club will duly notify the public about it”, he told The Cable.

    Narrating her experience, she disclosed that sexual intercourse with her husband on their nuptial night was horrible.

    Aisha Dannupuwa, said: “When he came, we had sex, but the experience was a nightmare. Instead of enjoying the sex, it turned out to be something else because his penis was too big.

    “Two days later, when he came to visit me, we had sex again, but the experience was too much to bear. It was then I knew that I could not continue with the marriage because of the size of his penis.” Her husband, has however, accepted the wife’s decision and agreed to the divorce.

    Joy Chico Ejiro loses last son, 11 months after demise of husband

    Joy Ejiro, widow of late veteran movie producer, Chico Ejiro has lost her last son, Viano to the deadly cancer disease.

    He died on the evening of Monday November 15.

    His demise is coming less than a year after her husband died on Christmas day, December 25, 2020, of complications related to high blood pressure.

    TheNewsGuru gathered that Viano had been battling cancer for years and his father had devoted his life and resources to his treatment.

    Joy on her part had moved to the US to get the best health care for her son even while he was still a toddler.

    In a tribute to her late husband, Mrs Chico Ejiro described the filmmaker as a selfless man while thanking God for the opportunity to share 26 years of her life with him.

    “In all, I thank GOD for giving me the opportunity to spend the last 26yrs with you, you were a selfless man who was a wonderful husband and a great father. I’m consoled by the beautiful life you lived and the impact you made in the movie industry and all that crossed your path. You will forever be in our hearts. Till we meet again my Baby Boy, I will have plenty gist for you my best friend,” she wrote.
