Instagram: Davido unfollows late Ifeanyi IG account, DJ Cuppy and Femi Otedola

Following the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the son of Superstar Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, the singer has made some changes to his son’s Instagram page, unfollowed late Ifeanyi IG account, DJ Cuppy and Femi Otedola

Recall on October 31st, Ifeanyi drowned at his dad’s home in Banana Island while his parents were on a trip to Ibadan and was left with the domestic staff.

Ifeanyi was rushed to the Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The tragic death sparked a lot of reactions as many netizens as well as celebrities, politicians, socialites, public figures trooped to express their heartfelt condolences.

However, following the death of his son, Davido makes some changes to his verified Instagram page.

Davido deletes all his pinned posts; he also deleted his anticipating post, A.W.A.Y, which is slated to take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on November 18, 2022. He had already invited artists that include, Kizz Daniel, Wande Coal, Lojay, Pheelz, Oxlade, BNXN (fka Buju), Focalistc and Victony.

Also, Davido who has 25.8M followers on his verified Instagram page and 1,6777 followers before the death of his son made changes as he unfollowed three (3) accounts from his followers.

Further reports claimed Davido allegedly unfollows Late Ifeanyi IG account, DJ Cuppy and Femi Otedola.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG)reports that Ifeanyi, who Davido had with his babymama Chioma, passed on on November 1, and was a child who brought smiles to many faces.

There were a number of times Ifeanyi made headlines, and one of them included a special moment Davido revealed his son’s face in a diamond necklace

Recall that the DMW label boss (Davido) splashed the sum of N150 million on a diamond necklace with Ifeanyi’s face on it.

The news of Ifeanyi’s death was shocking as the young lad had only celebrated his third birthday in October.

  • Sad death of Ifeanyi, Davido’s late son could have been avoided

Sad death of Ifeanyi, Davido’s late son could have been avoided

The passing of Ifeanyi Adeleke, the deceased son of Chioma Rowland and David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, took the nation by storm last week.

Reports, which many wished were rumours, emerged that the budding and energetic three-year-old Ifeanyi, who just finished marking his birthday, drowned in a swimming pool.

The swimming pool, it was learnt, is inside the Banana Island home of the Afrobeat singer, who was away with his betrothal and mother of Ifeanyi, Chioma in Ibadan for a family engagement when the sad incident happened.

In lieu of this development, TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) gleans that the death of Ifeanyi could have been avoided if certain safety measures had been put in place.

For instance, if the swimming pool inside Davido’s compound was fenced, the sad incident could have been avoided.

Also, at age 3, with Davido having a swimming pool inside his compound, in the absence of a fence, early swimming lessons would have done Ifeanyi a lot of good, but certainly not without a guardian.

According to Baby Centre, babies can start learning to swim around the age of one, though they would not master swimming skills until they are at least 4 years old. Babies who start their swim lessons when they are 10-18 months old usually take between 1.5 to 2 years to learn to swim independently.

If Ifeanyi started having swimming lessons say at age one, he would have been able to hold himself longer inside the pool until he got help, and the story would have been different today.

However, given the back-and-forth nature of Davido and Chioma’s relationship, it meant that Ifeanyi could not get early swimming lessons when it is obvious that the Afrobeat singer is having a swimming pool in his compound.

It was only recently after Davido and Chioma’s relationship started budding again that the singer shared footage of himself and his 3-year-old sharing time in the water.

The sad death of Ifeanyi, Davido's late son could have been avoided with "swimming smarts"

Without aiming at flogging a dead horse or raising dust, this is a wake-up call for parents who are having toddlers and a swimming pool inside their compounds.

Needless to say, it is good to know how to swim. Everyone should. It is never too late to learn.

    Avoid swimming alone

Always swim with a partner, every time, whether you are swimming in a backyard pool or in a lake. Even experienced swimmers can become tired or get muscle cramps, which can make it hard to get out of the water. When people swim together, they can help each other or go for help in an emergency. It is important for kids to learn how to swim and learn about basic water safety early in life but wrong for them to swim alone.

    Know your limits

If you are not a good swimmer or you are just learning to swim, do not go inside water that is so deep you cannot touch the bottom and don’t try to keep up with skilled swimmers. That can be hard, especially if your friends are challenging you. But it is a pretty sure bet they’d rather have you safe and alive.

If you are a good swimmer and have had lessons, keep an eye on friends who are not as comfortable or as skilled as you are. If it seems like they are getting tired or a little uneasy, suggest taking a break from swimming for a while.

    Swim in safe areas only

It is always best to swim in places that are supervised by a lifeguard. No one can anticipate changing ocean currents, rip currents, sudden storms, or other hidden dangers. If something does go wrong, lifeguards are trained in rescue techniques.

Swimming in an open body of water (like a river, lake, or ocean) is different from swimming in a pool. You need more energy to handle the currents and other changing conditions in the open water. Strongly consider wearing a personal floatation device in open bodies of water, even if you are a strong swimmer.

If you find yourself caught in a rip current, don’t panic and don’t fight the current. Try to swim parallel to the shore until you can get out of the current, which is usually a narrow channel of water.

Gradually try to make your way back to shore as you do so. If you cannot swim away from the current, stay calm and float with it. The current will usually slow down. When it does, you can swim to shore.

Even a very good swimmer who tries to swim against a strong current will get worn out. If you would be swimming in an open body of water, it is a great idea to take swimming lessons that offer tips on handling unexpected hazards.

Some areas with extremely strong currents are off-limits when it comes to swimming. Do your research so you know where not to swim, and pay attention to any warning signs posted in the area.

    Be careful about diving

Diving injuries can cause head injury, permanent spinal cord damage, paralysis, and sometimes even death. Protect yourself by only diving in areas known to be safe, such as the deep end of a supervised pool. If an area has “No Diving” or “No Swimming” signs, pay attention to them. A “No Diving” sign means the water isn’t safe for a head-first entry.

Even if you plan to jump in feet first, check the water’s depth before you leap to make sure there are no hidden rocks or other hazards. Lakes or rivers can be cloudy and hazards may be hard to see.

    Watch the sun

Sun reflecting off the water or off sand can intensify the burning rays. You might not feel sunburned when the water feels cool and refreshing, but the pain will catch up with you later. Remember to reapply sunscreen often and cover up much of the time. Don’t forget your hat, UV protection sunglasses, and protective clothing.

Drink plenty of liquids. It’s easy to get dehydrated in the sun, particularly if you’re active and sweating. Keep up with fluids- particularly water- to prevent dehydration. Dizziness, feeling lightheaded, or nausea can be signs of dehydration and overheating.

    Getting too cool

Staying in very cool water for long periods can lower your body temperature. A temperature of 70°F (20°C) is nice on land, but water below that will feel cold to most swimmers. Your body temperature drops far more quickly in water than it does on land.

When you are swimming, you’re using energy and losing body heat even faster. Check yourself when swimming in cold water and stay close to shore.

If you feel your body start to shiver or your muscles cramp up, get out of the water right away. It doesn’t take long for hypothermia to set in.

    Alcohol and water never mix

Alcohol is involved in many water-related injuries and up to half of all water-related deaths. The statistics for teen guys are particularly scary: One-half of all teen male drownings are tied to alcohol use.

DAVIDO: “Chioma was the target” – Prophet gives shocking revelation on Ifeanyi Adeleke’s death

The founder of Christ House of Prayer and Deliverance Ministry, Prophet Elijah Ilukholor, has given startling revelation about the death of Ifeanyi Adeleke, son of Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, aka Davido.

In a new video, the prophet pointed out that Chioma was the intended target to die.

He asserted that Ifeanyi’s death was a spiritual affair, and his mother, Chioma Rowland, was the target but the boy ended up paying the price.

Disclosing some of his spiritual findings concerning the death of Ifeanyi, Prophet Elijah consoled Davido over the passing of his first son.

According to him, Davido would have encountered an intense tribulation if the enemy had succeeded in their evil plans against Chioma.

The clergyman averred that more impending dangers will still come the way of the singer and his family if they refuse to seek the face of God.

Recall that earlier, a Prophet, Samuel King, prophesied about the death of Ifeanyi, saying that there is another part to the prophecy.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) had reported that Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool inside the Banana Island home of Davido and was confirmed dead at a hospital in Lagos State.

Reacting in a video shared on his official Facebook page, Prophet King, as he is called, said the death of the 3-year-old energetic boy fulfilled the prophecy he gave on the 7th of January 2022.

“Davido‘s son has died, fulfilling the prophecy given on the 7th of January 2022 by the Prophet, with a call of warning to pray for his son! More highlights will still be given towards this prophecy as there are hidden clues that need to be shared in prayers only with the family of David Adeleke,” he said.

On the 7th of January 2022, King shared a prophecy on his official Facebook page with a photo of Davido and Ifeanyi and a caption that reads: “#GLOBAL_PROPHECY. PRAY FOR DAVID ADELEKE aka Davido.

“In a vision I saw 2022 with so many opportunities for him, reward and awards! This is the biggest year for him even until 2023! But let’s pray Against any arrow of death ESPECIALLY against his son! Any any close loved ones.

“God revealed this to me That it will happen if prayers are not MADE. I see T and Y as a very significant clue to this prophecy as well. THINGS ARE HAPPENING!”

Comparison of Dbanj and Davido toddlers drowning, what you need to know

As the statistics on preventable water-related deaths are staggering, the number of toddlers of African celebrities that have drowned in swimming pools continues to increase.

It was gathered that on average, 35 children die by drowning annually in Canada, most in private pools.

According to Barbara Byers, public education director for Canada’s Lifesaving Society, the drowning scenarios of toddlers occur when parents or guardians were either distracted or not there.

In her words: “Under the age of five, 96 percent of the time the parents were either distracted or not there.”

Recall that Nigeria’s popular singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, on Monday evening lost his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi, who drowned in a swimming pool in his father’s Banana Island residence in Lagos.

While Nigerians are still trying to come to terms with Ifeanyi’s death, his demise sadly reminds one of Dapo Oyebanji, better known as D’banj, whose son died in a similar way in 2018.

There are indeed strange similarities between those two deaths, which makes many believe that Ifeanyi’s death was avoidable, his parents having supposedly learned from what happened to D’banj.

10 similarities between Daniel and Ifeanyi’s death
    1. Both are sons of popular artists at the peak of their careers and fame.

    2. They were the only sons of their parents.

    3. They just celebrated their birthdays before their untimely deaths.

    4. They both died very young. While D’banj’s son was just a year old, Davido’s son was three.

    5. Both fathers were not at home when the sad incidents happened. While D’banj was in the United States to receive an award, Davido and his wife Chioma traveled to Ibadan for a family gathering.

    6. The two sons both drowned in swimming pools in their parents’ residences.

    7. As celebrities, both parents live in high-brow areas on the island. D’banj son died in Ikoyi, while Davido’s son died in Banana Island.

    8. Both parents regularly post photos of their sons on social media.

    9. The stage names of both fathers start with the letter D.

    10. Both parents lost their child in the Lagos pool.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that sometime in June 2018, D’banj, lost his 13-month-old son, Daniel Jr. after he drowned at his Ikoyi residence, in Lagos.

Late Daniel drowned during the visit of some friends of the family.

D’banj was said to be away for a musical award in Los Angeles, United States when the incident happened.

The singer, while sharing a black picture with emoticons, he wrote, “Trying times. But my God is always and forever faithful.”

Swimming Pool Safety Tips for Toddlers
    Never leave your child alone.
    Fence in your pool.
    Install a secure gate.
    Invest in rescue gear.
Keep your child within arm’s reach.
    Stay above the waterline.
    Don’t rely on floaties.
    Take swimming and CPR classes.

Following the tragic death of Ifeanyichukwu Adeleke, (popularly called Ifeanyi) son of Nigeria’s famous singer, Davido and his third babymama turned fiancee, Chioma Rowland, more reactions have continued to pour in.

This was as the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the detention of the two domestic workers,  after six persons were released.

“I spoke with the DPO and he said the nanny and the cook have been detained. Other domestic workers brought in for questioning were released,” Hundeyi said

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) asserts that the safety of children in a premises with swimming pool should be paramount to the house owner, which ideally a proof net cover, erecting a blockade or barricade around it, cannot be overemphasized.

How can we ever trust caregivers with our children when we remember the painful circumstances surrounding that innocent child’s death? We all want to ask for forgiveness and continue to glorify you, even in our pain. You sincerely need to show Yourself to the parents and protect them from bitterness.
