[Devotional] IN HIS PRESENCE: Be of good cheer
Jesus told His disciples that whilst they were in this world, they would encounter challenges. However, they were to be of ‘good cheer’ because He has already overcome the world. His prescription was not for them to fast and pray in the first instance.

[Devotional] IN HIS PRESENCE: The power of your words
I learnt a valuable life lesson from my last child, whilst she was little. Anytime you jokingly called her a naughty girl, she would scream “I am not a naughty girl” and then start crying. Even though it was a joke, she rejected it.

[Devotional] IN HIS PRESENCE: Isolation brings desolation
As believers in Christ, we need one another. The body of Christ is our safety net. We are meant to come together regularly, to encourage, strengthen, and sharpen one another. When you step out of this safety net, you open yourself up for attack.

[Devotional] IN HIS PRESENCE: Watch your thoughts
Elijah had just experienced a great victory on mount Carmel, where he called down the fire of God to consume the sacrifice he had laid out. He had just demonstrated before all Israel and the prophets of Baal that God was the Almighty. But then at the threat of Jezebel, he ran into the wilderness…
