Yes, it is true; actress Wumi Toriola confirms marriage crash

Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola, has reacted to speculations making the rounds on the state of her marriage.

Wumi Toriola, in a post on her Instagram page, confirmed that her marriage was over.

She also reacted to claims that she was violent in the marriage and usually beat up her mother-in-law, which she confirmed as false.

She wrote; “There has been a lot of media attention on me lately regarding my marriage.
Yes, it is true the marriage is over. We have gone out separate ways for over a year now. It didn’t work out, there was no need for drama hence my reason for not letting my fans know.

But yesterday I saw a report where it was alleged that I was violent while the marriage lasted, and I used to beat my mother and my mother-in-law. It was reported that my ex allegedly concocted this lies.

For the records, I am not a violent person. I have not had to exchange punches with anyone and I was never violent in the marriage.

The most painful part of the report is that I used to beat my mother. This is not only personal attack, it is satanic. It is against everything I stand for and believe. As a properly raised Yoruba lady, it is costly to lay your hands against your parent.

As a matter of fact, my mum has been late for over 20 years. And I never raise my hands against my mother-in-law, It never happened, it will never happen. My family members, my ex’s family members and our neighbors can testify to that.

I wish those who started the rumour and those spreading well and pray that God rewards everyone of us according to the works of our hands.

As for me, I am focused on the next level, and I have moved on from the past. I advice everyone else to do the same.”

Why I demanded N150k ‘service charge’ for sponsored N500k giveaway on my Instagram page – Eniola Badmus

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus releases a statement to correct the negative notion making rounds about a N150K extra charge to a generous giver.

The 42 year old was contacted by a client to do a giveaway of N500,000 for fans on her platform using his name @piusomoyele

Eniola charged the individual N150,000 for the service and argued that giving out the money to 100 people takes time and will involve bank charges.

“I woke up to this and I thought it will be nice to give clarity ad clear the air on it. This incident has nothing to do with taking advantage of people or discouraging the need to give out especially using my platform.

“This particular person indicated interest to do a 500( hundred0 thousand Naira giveaway and I felt there will be extra cost for bank charges and stamp duty, which I wasn’t going to bare(sic) the transfer charges for that, so I asked he bares(sic) it.

“But in scenarios where people engage you as an influencer to drive giveaways from a business point of view, then business conversations need to happen.

“Meanwhile I posted the giveaway already on my page and his(sic) been enjoying the fame because he insisted I put his handle.

“We all know sending money to 100 people is quite tasking. Is just funny the way people are quick to judge.

    “Keep staying safe guys!
