Worry not over insurgents attacks, we are in control – CDS

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa, says the military and other security agencies are firmly in control of the situation in the North-east despite the resurgence of insurgents activities in region.

“The pockets of attacks should not be a cause for concern as the military and security agencies are firmly in control,” Musa said this while addressing newsmen on Thursday in Maiduguri.

“As you are all aware, I was in Borno State with the Ministers of Defence and other service chiefs three weeks ago to assess the security situation.

“I thought it wise to return to reassess the renewed attacks and engage stakeholders on the way forward.

“Security is not a one-man business. I appeal to everyone to join the fight against Boko Haram and ISWAP, banditry, kidnapping, and all forms of criminality for the peace and development of our country.

“The Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to bringing lasting peace and development to all parts of Nigeria.

“What we are witnessing here is an eclipse caused by pressure on terrorists in the Sahel region, forcing them to increase attacks in Nigeria, especially around the porous borders of the Lake Chad Basin.

“We are working diligently to address these challenges.”

“During my recent trip to Russia, Nigeria maintained a non-aligned stance but engaged with key stakeholders ready to partner with us in this fight.

“We have procured more sophisticated weapons which will soon be deployed alongside new strategies to end the madness of terrorism,” Musa said.

The defense chief, who was on assessment in the state also visited Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri, where explosions occurred at the armoury due to heat waves.

Musa also met with key stakeholders alongside with the senior military officials from the Theatre Command Sector 1 Operation Hadin Kai, at the 7 Division, Maimalari Cantonment.

Army dismisses claims of insurgents’ take over of its training camp

The Nigerian Army has described the claim by the Niger State House of Assembly that insurgents have taken over its Training Area in Kontagora, as untrue.

The Director of  Army Public Relations, Maj.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, dismissed the claim in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.

Nwachukwu described the claim as ‘vicious insinuations’, adding that the claim had stirred palpable unease within the Kontagora and Mariga communities, as well as Niger State as a whole.

“We wish to clarify that no credible threat exists in those areas as being peddled, contrary to the information presented by Hon. Abdullahi Isah, representing the Kontagora II Constituency on the floor of the Niger State House of Assembly on Oct. 28.

“Reports purporting an invasion of the military training area by alleged bandits and the subsequent displacement of residents from 23 communities across Kontagora and Mariga are not only untrue, but are utterly misleading and harmful.

“It appears calculated to incite unnecessary panic in the neighbourhood.

“A thorough investigation by our intelligence unit confirmed that the individuals observed in the area were herders seeking grazing grounds for their herds.

“No malicious intent was detected, and no hostile actions were observed,” he said.

Nwachukwu said that the Nigerian army appreciate the vigilance of the communities and the lawmaker’s commitment to the safety of the people he represents.

He urged all concerned parties to approach such matters with caution and verify information through official channels.

“Undoubtedly, misinformation of this nature has the potential to spread unwarranted fear, engender panic, misdirect valuable resources away from real security priorities, and ultimately aggravate the security situation.

“Our training areas remain secured, fortified, and designed to swiftly neutralize any security threat.

“The Nigerian Army remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of our host communities and Nigerians in general,” he added.

NAN reports that the Niger State House of Assembly on Tuesday raised the alarm over the takeover of a major military training camp by bandits.

The Nagwamase Military Cantonment in Kontagora, headquarters of Kontagora Local Government Area, has been occupied by gunmen, forcing over 23 communities to flee.

The training camp, one of the largest in Nigeria, hosts the Artillery Corps of the Nigerian Army.

Isah brought the motion to the assembly’s attention during Tuesday’s plenary session.

He stated that the bandits’ presence has led to incessant attacks on communities within the camp, with some residents still being held captive.

NAN reports the assembly has urged the state government to collaborate with military authorities to flush out the bandits and restore peace to the area.

The lawmakers also called for necessary support to be given to the military to secure the training camp.

  • Emptying the Sahel of transnational terrorists and insurgents – By Owei Lakemfa

Emptying the Sahel of transnational terrorists and insurgents – By Owei Lakemfa

Martin Luther Agwai, retired General, walked briskly on the grounds of the Nigeria Defence College, NDC, like a man with a spring under his heels. At 74, he seemed ready for call up to do battle with enemies of the people. Indeed, on this Thursday, October 20, 2022 morning, he stood before a packed audience that ranged from young undergraduates to the elderly, including 83-year-old Emeritus Professor Anthony I. Asiwaju, to address insecurity in the Sahel region.

As the Chairman of the Society for International Relations Awareness, SIRA, 2022 Lecture on “Transnational Terrorism And Insurgency In The Sahel: Implications For National Security And Democratic Governance In The Region”, he asked Nigeria to first be conscious of itself and its needs because not every nation is pleased to see it progress.

General Agwai pointed out that despite the country’s internationally acclaimed contributions to global peace, it still has problems accessing its military needs and requirements and getting the needed international support to speedily defeat terrorism and insurgency.

The general who is a former Chief of Defence Staff, past Chief of Army Staff and ex-United Nations Deputy Military Chief leading missions in Sierra Leone and Darfur, warned: “If we allow rogues to take over our security and human activity and rule us, we would be in deep trouble.”

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Zubairu Dada, who was Special Guest of Honour, made a six-point submission. First is that transnational terrorism and insurgency have had a negative impact on democratic governance. Secondly, that the terrorists are spreading down the Atlantic Ocean necessitating an urgent need to mobilise citizens and resources to stop them. Thirdly, that it is in the best interest of not just Nigerians but all humanity to stop the terrorists.

Fourthly, he warned that there is no country in Africa that can contain the Nigerian population, if, God forbid, the terrorism challenge gets out of hand. Fifthly, he pointed out that the country is having to expend valuable resources on security rather than development. In his sixth submission, the Minister said that separatist groups also constitute a threat to the country’s existence and urged all to rally behind the Muhammadu Buhari administration to defeat terrorism, insurgency and separatism.

Rear Admiral Murtala Mormoni Bashir, Commandant, National Defence College, delivered the lecture before a rapt audience that included Senator Babafemi Ojudu, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters; Mr Francis Nwosu, who represented Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture;  Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Defence, and an array of Ambassadors, diplomats and Defence Attaches accredited to the country.

“He traced increased insecurity in the Sahel to the global war on terrorism launched by the West following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack in the United States. He said insecurity has resulted in significant loss of lives and destruction of properties in the region. It has also led to increased defence spending which from 2011 to 2020, saw the defence expenditure of Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger increase by 238 per cent, 339 per cent and 288 per cent respectively. In the same period, Nigeria spent about $9 billion.

The Commandant pointed out that these increases undermine the capacities of the Sahel countries to invest in development, and that the continued deployment of the military in anti-terrorist operations in the Sahel “has provided opportunities for a new wave of coups due to alleged poor support to the defence and security forces among other things”. He gave the example of Burkina Faso which witnessed two coup d’états in 2022. Such interferences in governance, he warned, contravene the 2001 ECOWAS Protocol on Democracy and Good Governance and the 2022 Accra Declaration of the African Union.

“The Rear Admiral’s suggested solutions include the Sahel countries eliminating the conditions conducive for the emergence and spread of terrorism and insurgency ,and, the mobilisation of all in “the implementation of a whole-of-government and whole-of-society response to the challenge of terrorism and insurgency in the Sahel”.“He also suggested that the countries should “further enhance the capacities of border management agencies and include border communities in management of borders”, while also dominating the under/ungoverned spaces in their territories.

He also suggested the re-appraisal of extant regional protocols in order to strengthen their provisions, re-intensification of engagements with regional and sub-regional organisations and strategic partners within and outside Africa to “mobilise resources and assets needed in the joint fight against terrorism and insurgency in the region”.

Dr. Bayo Asala, an African indigenous conflict management expert, in discussing the lecture, argued that Rear Admiral Bashir’s recommendations, if transformed into the country’s foreign policy, will “serve as a tool to reduce, to the lowest level, the issue of terrorism, insurgency and other crimes”. To make the recommendations more robust, he suggested the inclusion of traditional and religious rulers and women groups. He argued that: “When these classes of individuals are not recognised, the solution and resolution to the menace in the region cannot be abated.”

Dr Wilson Ijide, a retired Colonel, industrial organisation psychologist and military strategist posited that: “Terrorism assumes a transnational dimension when an incident in one country affects citizens and targets institutions of another country. This has been the case of many terrorist activities such as the bombing of the WTC in the US and the UN building in Abuja Nigeria.”

He concluded his discussion of the Lecture by positing that: “Following from a strong theory linking insurgency and terrorism, we would be in a position to evolve policies that can address the root of transnational terrorism and insurgency through establishing principles for enhancing synergies within the Sahel.”

The 2022 SIRA Book titled “Continuity And Change In Nigeria’s Foreign Policy Under President Muhammadu Buhari”, was also presented at the Lecture. Dr Daniel Mann, the Resident Representative of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung which partnered SIRA to present the lecture and produce the book, recommended it for understanding foreign relations.

Aminu Ahmed Yusuf, an independent researcher on social movements and state building, reviewed the 185-page book. Yusuf’s conclusion, from the gamut of papers, is that foreign policy must take into cognisance how it serves the people and promotes fair and just relations with neighbours.

Nigeria’s Foreign Policy, he also submitted, must “defend and promote policies and actions that contribute to tackling the underdevelopment of Africa and other third world countries; and defend and promote the wealth and development of nations, as well as regional, continental and international peace and security…”

I came away with the idea that SIRA, the think-tank I am privileged to lead, offered the audiences in the hall and internet, a bountiful buffet of analysis, suggestions and ideas which we all have a duty to make actionable.

79,000 insurgents surrender as 3 more Chibok girls rescued – Theatre Commander

The Theatre Commander, North East “Operation Hadin Kai”, Maj.-Gen. Christopher Musa, said over 79,000 insurgents comprising combatants and non combatants have so far surrendered.

Musa made this known in Maiduguri while briefing newsmen on recent successes of the command.

The commander said that the sustained onslaught on the insurgents under the kinetic and non kenetic approaches had led to the mass surrender.

According to him, this led to need to have additional camps in Maiduguri to host the repentants that were being sorted out to identify the combatants and not combatants.

He lauded the support from the public, which he described as “unsung heroes” and urged them to sustain the tempo for a speedy end to the conflict.

“We are really happy with the way the members of the public were cooperating with us; they see the sincerity in what we are doing.

“We are committed to the human rights charter and the rules of engagement in our operations,” Musa said.

Also speaking on recent success, the General Officer Commanding ( GOC), 7 Division,  Maiduguri,  Maj.- Gen. Waidi Shuaibu, said that within the period under review, three more Chibok girls were also rescued.

Sallah Message: Final victory against insurgents, terrorists approaching conclusion – Buhari assures

President Muhammadu Buhari has assured Nigerians that the battle waged against terrorists, who falsely masquerade under the name of Islam is approaching its conclusion and “victory is within sight”.

The president gave the assurance in his Sallah message to Nigerians as the Holy month of Ramadan reaches its end and Muslims will officially mark the Eid-el-Fitr on Monday.

The President’s spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu, in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, said the president sent his best wishes to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world celebrating the occasion.

The statement read in part: ”As the Holy month of Ramadan reaches its end and Muslims mark the Eid, President Muhammadu Buhari sends his best wishes to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world celebrating the occasion:

“After a period of fasting and reflection this year, we have cause to welcome the occasion in hope.

”The battle waged against terrorists who falsely masquerade under the name of Islam is approaching its conclusion.

“The fight has been long and hard. Final victory is within sight. Boko Haram and its offshoots’ final embers are now fading.

“Last month, the leader of ISWAP was killed in an airstrike. Since the New Year, thousands of fighters have surrendered to enter rehabilitation programmes.

”The territories they used to occupy are now seeing the return of those who were forced to flee their barbarity.

”Normality is finally beginning to return to the Northeast. It is a long process. Yet it is one we are together, now embarking upon.

“With the designation of bandit groups as terrorists, the challenges of banditry and kidnapping are being tackled differently in the North-western and North central states where the latest military acquisitions and the Armed Forces are being fanned out across the region to thwart acts of terror.”

The president also expressed delight over what he described as ”impressive reports” of the special operations to curb crude oil theft and illegal oil bunkering in the South-South zone of the country.

He, however, noted that in spite of the good news some unpatriotic elements were bent on causing more pollution and destruction of national assets.

“The administration is equally getting impressive reports of the special operations to curb crude oil theft and illegal oil bunkering in the South-South with millions of illegally refined products being impounded and illegal refineries destroyed.

“While we are making progress cleaning the environment, some evil people are busy causing more pollution and destruction.

‘‘In response to the disturbing rise in criminal attacks targeting law enforcement and public facilities in the South East, concerted military operations to rid the region of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

“And Eastern Security Network (ESN) elements have in recent weeks led to the overrunning of IPOB/ESN bases, the seizure of weapons and the arrest of a large number of suspects.’’

The president’s media aide revealed that Buhari had since approved the establishment of a Naval Base in Oguta, Imo State.

Shehu also noted that reinvigoration of the war against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking were also showing positive results as shown by the arrest of over 12, 300 offenders including seven drug barons; the conviction of 1,400, counseling and rehabilitation of about 8,000 drug users.

He acknowledged the seizure of over 3.4 million kilograms of drugs and cash worth over N130 billion, all in 2021.

According to him, the first quarter of 2022 has seen the arrest of no fewer than 3,536 offenders including security personnel and a well-known billionaire drug baron.

”The seizure of more than 65,000 tonnes of assorted drugs in this period sets a record for the nation.’’

”It is with a view to giving impetus to the concerned agency that President Buhari granted approvals for the promotion of more than 3,500 officers, the procurement of operational equipment, training for personnel and buildings for residential barracks.”

Shehu also quoted the president as directing increased coordination and cooperation among security agencies, saying that an end had been brought to a silo approach among the agencies.

Buhari, who wished Nigerians Eid Mubarak to all. assured that there would be no shortage of funds to provide security for the citizens.

  • We’re in final phase of campaign against insurgents, other criminals – Buhari

We’re in final phase of campaign against insurgents, other criminals – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has urged troops of Operation Hadin Kai to remain steadfast as they go into the final phase of the campaign against insurgency and other forms of criminalities.

The president, according to a statement issued by his spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, made the call when he addressed the troops at the Airforce Base in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Thursday.

According to President Buhari, the entire nation remains grateful for the gallantry displayed in ensuring gradual return of peace to the North East, while condoling with families that have lost loved ones, and the wounded.

He said: “I urge you also to stay focused to achieve our strategic end-state which is the defeat of all adversaries and restoration of an economically viable North East Geo-political Zone and other parts of the Country where Nigerians are free to go about their activities without fear or harassment.’’

The president assured families of soldiers who paid the supreme price for the nation and the injured that the Federal Government would cater for their needs, recognizing their sacrifices for all Nigerians.

“I am delighted to be with you today and to convey my gratitude and that of the entire nation to you all, as you continuously strive to secure our dear country.

“Your career is like no other because it is a conscious commitment and preparedness to give your best for the sake of others.

“I am therefore here on behalf of a grateful nation to thank and commend you for your service and sacrifices.

“Let me start by commiserating with you all on the unfortunate loss of Brigadier General Dzarma Zirkushu and other personnel of 25 and 28 Task Force Brigades, who died on Nov. 13, 2021.

“I do this mindful of the fact that we have lost others in this Theatre of Operation as well as other operational areas across the country.

“We pray for the repose of their souls and for the Almighty God to comfort the families that they left behind.

“The people of Borno State and indeed the entire country owe a debt of gratitude to our serving men in uniform for the huge sacrifices in the pursuit of peace,” he said.

He maintained that the government would continue to ensure that the widows and children of fallen heroes were well catered for, to help them fully realize their potentials.

The president noted that the response exhibited across the theatre had shown extraordinary resilience and steadfastness in the face of adversity.

“That is the spirit, tenacity and resolve that the Nigerian Armed Forces is known for. Well done.

“Our country, just like all the others in the Sahel region, is faced with several security challenges that are largely characterized by the violent activities of non-state actors.

“This has necessitated several interventions aimed at ensuring the security of persons and property across the numerous hot spots.

“Further improvements in the security situation in Operation Hadin Kai have led to a corresponding rise in the confidence of our people who are now returning in significant numbers to their homes.

“Further to the reorganizations in the military leadership, concerted efforts are being made to improve your equipment holding.

“I am aware that you have started receiving some of the platforms procured by our administration while others would be received in the weeks ahead,” the president added.

While noting threats posed by criminals through the employment of Improvised Explosive Devices, he said substantial resources had also been directed at procuring equipment for explosive ordnance disposal.

According to him, similar attention is being given to Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance Assets.

“These measures and the platforms being received would accord you the necessary reach, fire power and protection to project force across the Theatre and bring the fight to a logical and successful end.”

President Buhari told the troops that at the onset of the administration he emphasized the need to rejuvenate the Multinational Joint Task Force, which was in realization of the fluid and transnational nature of current threats and their propensity to hibernate in neighbouring countries.

“I therefore urge you to continue to further strengthen your cooperation with the militaries of the other countries under the auspices of the Multinational Joint Task Force in order to further optimize the mutual gains for our respective national security.

“As we step up the military efforts, our administration has remained conscious of the efficacy of the employments of other lines of effort in our drive to ensuring the return of lasting peace to the North East Region.

“The North East Development Commission continues to make giant strides at improving the economic and social welfare of Nigerians in the region.

“I am also happy with the increased level of cooperation between the good people of Borno State, other stakeholders and the security agencies. I urge you to continue to cooperate with other security agencies with a view to ensuring a full return to normalcy.”

He assured that the administration would continue to work with all well-meaning stakeholders including friendly nations, civil society organizations as well as other credible non-governmental organizations to bring peace to all troubled areas across the nation.

The president expressed deep appreciation to the government of Borno for its continuous cooperation with the Federal Government in multiple spheres.

“This has been critical to the furtherance of our mutual efforts at restoring peace to the State.

“I particularly commend, Gov. Babagana Zulum, for your untiring commitment and cherished collaboration with my administration for the overall good of the people of Borno.

“Yours is a good example of the inherent benefits that are accruable from conscious positive interaction between the Federal Government and states.”

He also commended the Minister of Defence as well as the Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs and the heads of all other security agencies for forging a common front of collaboration and cooperation which had continued to enhance operations.

“It was gratifying to observe some of these examples of collaboration during the Research and Development Exhibition at the recently concluded Chief of Army Staff’s Annual Conference and the launch of locally constructed Seaward Defence Ship at the Naval Dockyard.

“I urge you all to stay the course towards ensuring that we become self-sufficient in the production of our defence equipment in no distant future.

‘To my dear troops, as your Commander in Chief, I am mindful of your selfless sacrifices which in some cases have entailed paying the supreme price.

“The nation owes you a debt of gratitude for your commitment, dedication and unalloyed loyalty to the Constitution of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

“Our Government will continue to work with your respective heads to ensure that your welfare receives priority attention and that our wounded comrades are given the best medical care possible,” he assured.

The president said the manpower challenges which have limited the rotation of some units from the theatre would be addressed by concerted efforts to increase recruitment and ensure that the remaining units due for rotation were relieved as soon as practicable.

Buhari meets security chiefs Thursday as insurgents continue to surrender

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Thursday confer with security chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Mr Femi Adesina, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, confirmed this in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday.

The President returned to Abuja last Friday after 18 days in London, during which he attended an education summit and did health checks.

Adesina noted that the nation security forces had in the past few weeks taken the battle more robustly to insurgents, bandits and all other criminals troubling the country.

”They are now surrendering in droves.

”The President will be brought up to speed on developments at the Thursday meeting, while plans to bring a decisive end to the challenges will be formulated,” he further disclosed.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Gov. Babagana Zulum of Borno, had on Aug. 14 raised alarm over the security implication of ongoing surrender of Boko Haram terrorists in the State.

He maintained that this development had presented the state with two extremely difficult situations requiring stakeholders’ serious examination of the wider implications.

The governor, who pledged to present the challenge to President Buhari for possible solution, said stakeholders needed ”a well thought-out critical framework that is to either accept the surrendering terrorists, or reject them and continue with the war.”

  • Troops kill 134 insurgents in two days

No fewer than 134 Boko Haram terrorists and Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) have been killed while their seven gun trucks were destroyed by troops of Operation Lafiya Dole in the last two days, Defence Headquarters said on Monday.

It also said 16 top Boko Haram informants were arrested within the last two weeks.

The slain terrorists met their waterloo in the Timbuktu Triangle and Buk areas between May 1 and 2 during an offensive codenamed Operation KANTANA JIMLAN.

According to Defence Media Operations Coordinator, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche, the anti-terror operations coordinated by the Chief of Army Staff in the last five weeks have witnessed intensified assaults on the insurgents.

He said 78 terrorists were killed when the Nigerian Army Artillery Regiments of Operation LAFIYA DOLE across the entire area delivered accurate fire.

“In one of such coordinated artillery bombardments conducted between May 1 and 2, around the Timbuktu Triangle general area by the Offensive Support Group of Operation Kantana Jimlan, seven Boko Haram Gun Trucks were destroyed while 78 BHT/ISWAP fighters were killed as confirmed by both aerial and human intelligence,” Enenche said in the statement.

  • Reign of kidnappers, insurgents will soon come to an end – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Saturday, in Katsina State, declared that the days of bandits, kidnappers and insurgents in Nigeria were numbered.

He insisted that his administration would overpower them wherever they operate in the country.

He gave the assurance in his address at the fourth convocation of the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma, Katsina State.

President Buhari, who is a visitor to the University, said the war on bandits and kidnappers involved a lot of covert operations, many of which were not known to members of the public.

Buhari, who was represented at the occasion by Kano State former deputy governor, Professor Hafiz Abubakar said, “I want to reassure the people of Katsina State and indeed all the other states of the federation that the climate of fear being orchestrated by bandits, kidnappers and insurgents would soon come to an end.

“We are bent on subduing the situation and creating the environment for lawful citizens to go about their legitimate businesses without fear or molestation.

“The war against bandits and kidnappers involves a lot of covert operations that are not easily accessible to the citizens. But I want to assure you that we are winning the war and by the grace of God, not in the far future. ”

President Buhari also challenged universities in the country to come up with new strategies to generate revenue internally, pointing out that funding the institutions has become a challenge.

He said, “The high cost of funding university activities cannot be borne by government alone. In this regard, I want to urge and encourage our universities to look inwards for more constructive ways of generating internal revenue through research that will attract research grants, establishment of consultancy services, poultry and fisheries farms, hotels, animal husbandry, partnering with the private sector etc”

  • Boko Haram: NAF Jets destroys meeting venue, kill insurgents

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) disclosed on Monday that Boko Haram meeting place at Jabullam in Borno state has been destroyed with air strikes.
The Spokesman of the NAF, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola said in a statement that the strikes were conducted through the Air Task Force of Operation Lafiya Dole after an intelligence report had established the presence of the terrorists in the buildings.
Air Commodore Daramola also said some terrorists were killed during the air strikes.
The statement reads: ” The Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed a Boko Haram Terrorist (BHT) meeting venue at Jabullam in Northern Borno State.
“The attack was carried out on 28 September 2018 following credible human intelligence reports indicating that some buildings within the settlement were being used for meetings attended by BHT leaders.
“Accordingly, following confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions which identified the target building and surrounding structures, the ATF detailed a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet aircraft, which attacked the location and recorded direct hits on the target leading to the obliteration of the building and neutralization of the BHT occupants. ”
“The NAF, working in concert with surface forces, will sustain the momentum of operations with a view to destroying remnants of the terrorists in the fringes of Lake Chad and other areas in Northern Borno”.
