FG reacts over Simon Ekpa’s 6 years prison sentence

The Federal Government welcomes the landmark judgment of the Päijät-Häme District Court in Finland, which on Monday sentenced Simon Ekpa, a self-styled pro-Biafra agitator, to six years’ imprisonment for terrorism offences.

This ruling stands as a watershed moment – not only for the countless innocent Nigerians whose lives and livelihoods have been brutally disrupted by the reign of terror incited and financed by Ekpa and his collaborators—but also for the strengthening of bilateral relations between Nigeria and Finland.

For years, Ekpa’s reckless incitement and orchestration of violence through IPOB terror activities unleashed unspeakable pain: families shattered, businesses destroyed, children orphaned, and entire communities forced to live under fear. Hundreds of lives were lost, and many more maimed, in pursuit of a destructive and unlawful agenda that sought to undermine the peace, unity, and sovereignty of our nation.

By upholding the rule of law and ensuring that justice is served, the Finnish judiciary has not only vindicated Nigeria’s consistent position on this matter but also sent a clear signal to extremists everywhere that the world is watching, and justice will catch up with those who seek to destabilize societies through terror.

The Tinubu administration remains unshakable in its resolve to defend Nigeria’s sovereignty and protect the dignity of every citizen. We will continue to mobilize every resource, diplomatic, military, and judicial, to preserve the peace, unity, and territorial integrity of our country.

We urge all those who, under the misguidance of Simon Ekpa and others, have taken up arms against their fatherland to immediately lay them down and embrace the path of peace. Nigeria is big enough for all its people, but there can be no progress where violence and division prevail.

The Federal Government also extends its profound gratitude to the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the security and intelligence agencies, and the Federal Ministry of Justice and the Nigeria Police, whose sacrifices, courage, and commitment continue to secure our homeland in the face of daunting challenges. Their service and the resilience of the Nigerian people remain the backbone of our enduring unity.

As we mark this turning point, the Federal Government enjoins all Nigerians, at home and abroad, to work together for national unity, peace, and security of the country.

BREAKING: Simon Ekpa sentenced to six years in prison

A district court in Finland has issued a verdict against Simon Ekpa, sentencing him to six years in prison.

Ekpa was found guilty on multiple serious charges, terrorism-related offences, aggravated tax fraud, and violations of legal statutes governing attorneys.

Ekpa was convicted by the Paijat-Hame District Court of participating in a terrorist organisation and publicly inciting crimes with terrorist intent.

The court found that between August 2021 and November 2024, he used his social media influence to inflame tensions in Nigeria’s southeast, advocating for Biafran independence by force and supporting armed groups with weapons, explosives, and ammunition.

In addition to the terrorism charges, Ekpa was also found guilty of aggravated tax fraud and breaches of attorney conduct regulations.

Born on March 21, 1985, in Ebonyi State, Nigeria, Simon Ekpa moved to Finland in 2007. A former athlete and local council member in Lahti, he later became a vocal leader of the Biafra independence movement and declared himself the “Prime Minister” of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE).

Arrested by Finland’s National Bureau of Investigation in November 2024, Ekpa was held pending further proceedings. He was specifically accused of inciting violence via social media and supporting armed separatist operations in Nigeria.

His assets and those linked to his associates were frozen as part of the pre-trial measures. However, the verdict is not final and may be appealed to a higher court.

  • IPOB reacts as Canadian court labels APC, PDP ‘terrorist groups’

IPOB reacts as Canadian court labels APC, PDP ‘terrorist groups’

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has welcomed hailed the alleged ruling by a Canadian court, which it claims designates Nigeria’s two major political parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as terrorist organizations.

The spokesperson, IPOB, Emma Powerful in a press statement issued on August 16, 2025 said the reported decision validates its long-standing position on Nigeria’s political and security challenges.

“This is a defining moment. The global community is beginning to see the truth about the political structures that have subjected our people to decades of repression and human rights violations,” the statement read.

Powerful also recounted the Nigerian civil war of 1967–1970, insisting that the historical injustices of that period continue to fuel its call for self-determination. The group maintained that its mission remains “non-violent” and rooted in the pursuit of a peaceful separation through legal means.

The group criticized past efforts by the Nigerian government to ban it, stating that these actions were politically motivated. They called on the international community to pay more attention to the rights of indigenous communities seeking self-rule.

As of the latest update, Canadian judicial authorities have not confirmed the alleged ruling. Additionally, neither the Nigerian government nor the APC (All Progressives Congress) and PDP (People’s Democratic Party) have issued official statements in response to IPOB’s claims.

  • Police arrest suspected IPOB member in Anambra

Police arrest suspected IPOB member in Anambra

The Police command in Anambra has detained a suspected armed robber, believed to be a member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in the state.

The suspect was arrested at Umuazu village, Nise, in Awka South Local Government Area of the state.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Awka.

“Operatives of the Anambra Police Command’s Special Anti-Cultism Squad, Enugwu-Ukwu, in the early hours of Aug. 10, arrested one Charles Chinonso, aged 32.

“He is a suspected armed robber and member of a separatist group. A vehicle earlier reported stolen in Imo was recovered.

“The recovery took place at Umuazu village, Nise, in Awka South LGA,” Ikenga said.

He explained that the arrest followed a complaint by a victim, who reported the vehicle was snatched at the World Bank Housing Area, Owerri West LGA, Imo.

According to him, acting on credible technological intelligence, police operatives traced the vehicle’s location and effected the arrest.

The Commissioner of Police, Ikioye Orutugu, assured the public the command would liaise with Police command in Imo to ensure the suspect and vehicle are processed under extant legal procedures.

  • IPOB denies involvement in Mbano killings

IPOB denies involvement in Mbano killings

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has strongly condemned the recent killing of civilians in Mbano, Imo State, describing the act as a “barbaric massacre” falsely attributed to its members and the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

In a statement signed by IPOB’s spokesperson and Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful, the group rejected what it called the “tired, manufactured narrative” by Nigerian security agencies, who swiftly blamed IPOB without presenting any evidence or conducting proper investigations.

“This heinous act is not the work of IPOB or ESN,” the statement read. “It is the handiwork of faceless fifth columnists—operatives embedded within the Nigerian security services—who slaughter our people to criminalise Biafra agitation and delegitimise the just struggle for our collective freedom.”

The group alleged that the killings in Mbano were part of a recurring pattern, where acts of violence in the Southeast coincide with growing legal and public momentum for the release of IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. IPOB accused the Nigerian government of using such incidents to sway public opinion and suppress the Biafra movement.

IPOB also issued a scathing rebuke of Southeast political leaders, accusing them of complicity and betrayal. “To the governors of the Southeast and their Abuja handlers, we ask: how long will you mortgage the blood of your people for a seat at the table of oppression?” the group asked.

Challenging the Nigerian police to present credible evidence in court, IPOB maintained that neither it nor the ESN was involved in the Mbano incident. “We reject these false attributions. If IPOB or ESN is culpable, let the police prove it in a court of law—not through press statements.”

Emma Powerful stated that the group would not be silenced by what it described as a “government-orchestrated campaign of repression,” insisting that every innocent life lost in Igboland would be remembered and justice would eventually be served.

“The Directorate of Media and Publicity will not be silenced. Every act of repression only strengthens our resolve,” the statement concluded.

The Nigerian police and security agencies have yet to provide detailed evidence linking IPOB to the Mbano attack, as of the time of filing this report.

IPOB Jewish community slams Tinubu-led govt, demands release of Nnamdi Kanu, others

A group under the auspices of IPOB Jewish Community Imo State has expressed solidarity with the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and other members of the movement being held in different detention centres in Nigeria, just as it called for their immediate release.

The group disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists and signed by Scholarstic Nwakaego Anyanwu on Thursday in Abuja.

The  group commended the IPOB leader for his resilience and tenacity for holding forth in the defence of the right of Igbo race.

The statement condemned the continued and unjust detention of Kanu without any justifiable reasons by the Nigerian government.

“We call for the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all Biafrans unjustly held in Nigerian detention centers. We maintain that the APC will not remain unchallenged in the face of these injustices. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the focal point of our movement, and we will continue to fight for our rights and freedoms.

“We, the victims of the Nigerian state, stand in solidarity with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the struggle for our rights as members of the Igbo race. Tragically, countless individuals have been killed, maimed, and displaced for daring to advocate for justice and equality. Our community has faced widespread persecution, forcing many into exile around the world.

“We are proud of our identity, a gift from Elohim, and we assert our right to either fully participate in the Nigerian political landscape or to pursue our own path as an independent nation.

“As a woman in exile, I join fellow advocates in mobilizing against the atrocities committed by the APC government against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the family of HRM Eze Israel Kanu, and countless other Biafran families enduring suffering under their regime.

“We call for the immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and all Biafrans unjustly held in Nigerian detention centers. We maintain that the APC will not remain unchallenged in the face of these injustices. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the focal point of our movement, and we will continue to fight for our rights and freedoms,” The statement read.

JSF neutralises 2 gunmen, detain suspected IPOB member

The Anambra Joint Security Force (JSF) says it has neutralised two suspected gunmen and also detained a suspected member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The spokesman for the state Police Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement issued in Awka on Tuesday.

Ikenga stated that the security operatives achieved the feat in separate operations in different parts of the state.

“The Anambra Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, continues to record major breakthroughs in its relentless efforts to rid the state of criminal elements.

“In a series of coordinated operations across the state, police operatives attached to the Rapid Response Squad, in the early hours of July 15, caught one Gospel Nneto (OZ), male, aged 31, a notorious leader of a proscribed armed separatist group.

“In another breakthrough, on the evening of July 14, police operatives from Nteje Division, responding to an attack by two armed suspects, engaged the assailants in a gun duel.

“The operatives neutralised the hoodlums and recovered one pump-action gun, one jackknife (dagger), and other incriminating items,” the statement added.

It further stated that the Divisional Police Officers in Nimo and Nteje led another operation with the police operatives and local vigilance members and rescued three alleged kidnap victims held by suspected gunmen in the area.

It added that the operatives recovered one pump-action gun and one jackknife (dagger) from the suspects.

Ikenga further disclosed that a joint security team, comprising police operatives from Nimo Division and local vigilance members, acting on credible intelligence, searched the forest between Oraukwu and Nimo Communities on the evening of July 15.

“This led to the successful rescue of two female kidnap victims.

“The victims will be reunited with their families, after necessary medical and psychological evaluations,” Ikenga stated.

He also stated that during interrogation, Nneto confessed to being an IPOB photographer, operating from a camp, known as “Mother Valley”, located in Orsumohu-Orsu axis.

“He is currently undergoing further interrogation as discreet investigations continue to uncover his criminal network,” Ikenga added.

He further stated that efforts were ongoing to track down other fleeing members of the criminal syndicates involved in the incidents.

He assured the public that the command remained resolute in its mission to ensure the safety and security of residents and visitors to the state.

  • IPOB dissociates from ‘Biafra Government In Exile’, warns Helsinki-based impostor

IPOB dissociates from ‘Biafra Government In Exile’, warns Helsinki-based impostor

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has dissociated itself from the purported formation of a ‘Biafra Government in Exile’, saying it is the handiwork of mischief makers who do not represent the interest of the movement.

The group stated this in a statement signed by the Spokesman and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, on Thursday in Abuja.

The group, while washing hands off the purported illegal Biafra government, said it does not endorse or recognize it and would never be part of such a criminal syndicate.

IPOB said the ideology of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, discipline, non-violence, and moral clarity in the Biafra restoration project would never descend so low as Helsinki-based attention-seeker and impostor and declare a government in a barbing salon without the consent of the people.

The group said the person behind such a plot lacked discipline and ideology, adding that Biafra is not a fantasy and not a YouTube show and not a plaything for criminals and cowards who find joy in extorting their own people.

The statement read: “The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the supreme leadership of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has been drawn to an utterly deranged and disgraceful narrative gaining traction among the intellectually bankrupt, in which cowards and charlatans—masquerading from foreign comfort zones as so-called “freedom fighters”—seek to compare Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to a self-proclaimed content creator and certified coward.

“Let us state it categorically: anyone foolish or mentally impaired enough to draw such a comparison needs urgent psychiatric intervention. Comparing the indomitable Mazi Nnamdi Kanu—who has endured extraordinary rendition, solitary confinement, torture, and a seven-year political and legal onslaught—to a coward who publicly denied Biafra in open court is the height of lunacy.

“Let the records reflect that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu publicly forbade the following acts, all of which were later carried out by the cowardly fraudster now desperately seeking attention:

“No Biafran should form a government in exile. No Biafran should form an army or armed group. No Biafran currency should be printed or sold.No Biafra identity card should be created. No Biafran passport should be printed or circulated.

“Yet this Helsinki-based attention-seeker, lacking discipline or ideological clarity, violated every single one of these directives while claiming to “fight” for Biafra. Biafra is not a fantasy. It is not a YouTube show. It is not a plaything for criminals and cowards who find joy in extorting their own people.

“How can any sane person declare a “government” in a barbing salon in Helsinki without the consent of the people? Is this how revolutions are led? Is this what Biafran republicanism has been reduced to?

“The group said the inability of the Nigerian government to sustain any legitimate charge against its leader, despite multiple amendments and desperate media propaganda, was proof that they have a genuine and legitimate cause.

“Let it be known to all that IPOB has nothing to do with the so-called “Biafra Government in Exile.” We are not part of that criminal syndicate. We do not endorse or recognize it. We do not kill, extort, or run rackets in the name of Biafra.

“The Kenyan High Court has already declared his abduction unconstitutional. And despite all the torture and manipulation, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains unbroken—because he is fighting a just cause.

“Let the world understand that when the dust settles, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu shall speak again, and the enemies within and without shall be exposed.

“Biafra is not a hustle. Biafra is not for cowards. Biafra is not content for clicks” The statement added.

  • IPOB: 200 security personnel killed in South East – DSS witness

IPOB: 200 security personnel killed in South East – DSS witness

A Department of Statement Services (DSS) witness on Wednesday, told the Federal High Court in Abuja that between 170 and 200 security agents have died due to the activities of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the South Eastern Nigeria.

The witness, simply identifed as DDD for security reasons, disclosed this before Justice James Omotosho in continuation of his testimony in the ongoing terrorism trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the IPOB.

DDD was led in evidence by the Federal Government’s lawyer, Chief Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN. DDD, who is the 4th prosecution witness (PW-4), said the activities of IPOB and its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), had led to the death of many security personnel in the region.

He restated that the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) did not issue license to Kanu to import the radio transmitter he allegedly smuggled into the country to operate Radio Biafra.

He said shortly after he and members of his team recovered the transmitter from a premises in Ubuluisiuzor, Anambra, and brought it to Abuja, the DSS wrote the NBC to inspect it.

The witness told the court that on Nov. 9, 2015, the NBC sent an engineer, who inspected the transmitter and wrote a report.

Awomolo then tendered a certified true copy of the provisional assessment of radio transmitter report submitted by the NBC.

DDD was asked to read a portion of the report, which he did. He said the report indicated that the transmitter was a German made and that it was indeed a radio transmitter made for use on FM frequency.

The witness said the report also stated that such transmitter could only be procured and installed after being issued a licence and that the NBC had not licensed Radio Biafra to broadcast in Nigeria.

The PW-4 added that investigation by his team revealed that for one to operate a radio station in the country, one must apply to a regulator, who would issue a licence after due clearance by relevant security agencies.

“In this case, there was no application from the defendant. He brought in the transmitter illegally without approval,” he said.

He also said investigation was confirmed that the defendant was the owner of the transmitter, which he kept in the premises of one Benjamin Madubugu.

The witness said Kanu later came into the country and inspected the transmitter and made a video to satisfy members of the IPOB, who contributed money for the purchase of the transmitter.

He also read from some publications of the Vanguard newspaper, where it was reported that an arrested commander of ESN confessed to the activities of his group.

The witness said the ESN member, who he identified as Uzuoma Benjamin, aka Onye Army, spoke about how he was recruited and how they allegedly received directives from the defendant.

He allege that the defendant directed them to kill security agents and ensure that a deceased member of the group, Ikonso, was buried with 2000 human heads.

The witness also read where the said Onye Army claimed that he and other members of his group used the heads of 10 girls to prepare charms for their protection.

He said investigation revealed that the invasion of Owerri prison by IPOB members was directed by Kanu in one of his broadcast for his followers to attack and kill security operatives of the Federal Government of Nigeria.

DDD said further investigation revealed that the defendant, in his broadcast directed that Ikonso should be buried with 2000 heads, but that only 30 were gotten.

He said when the DSS requested from the police to access Onye Army, the police claimed he had escaped from custody.

He said during one of DSS’ agents’ raid of ESN members’ hideout, “we saw some ESN members, about seven, with human heads and some eating human flesh, which they said was for spiritual fortification.

“We could not find Onye Army. The police said he had escaped from custody.”

He said there were records about the number of security agents allegedly killed in the South East and that the number stood between 170 and 200.

The witness who said two DSS officials, including his driver, were among the victims, said it cut across all security agencies.

On how the ESN members operate, the witness said they are combatants, who carry arms and attacked homes of prominent individuals and traditional rulers in the region.

He said because they lacked sufficient operational tools, they sometimes set up roadblocks during which they hijack vehicles for their operation.

The witness identified some public property which he said IPOB and ESN members attacked and destroyed in the South East, including police stations.

He also gave details of how the late Ahmed Gulak, the former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, was killed on May 30, 2021 in Owerri, Imo.

On how Gulak died, the witness said he was among the first responders to the scene where the late chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was killed and his corpse recovered.

He said on May 30, 2021, there was a total breakdown of law and order, as a result of the stay-at-home order declared by the defendant, through one of his broadcasts.

The witness said later that day, one of his officers informed him that a prominent politician was killed around Obiagwu and that when they got to the spot, they saw what happened.

He said the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in the area told him that Gulak was in a hired cab when he was killed by IPOB some members.

The PW-4 said the driver told him that they were heading to the airport from Owerri town, when they saw a check point mounted by men of the Nigerian Air Force who were preventing people from accessing the airport, but decided to take another route where they ran into a check point by IPOB members.

He added that the driver further said the IPOB members ordered the three of them in the car to disembark, and demanded to know their tribes.

He said the driver told him he introduced himself as an Igbo person and that Gulak also said he was an Igbo man.

But that while he (the driver) could speak the Igbo language when they were asked to speak in Igbo, Gulak could not, following which they asked him to remove his cap and saw a Muslim prayer marked on his forehead.

The witness said the driver added that upon seeing the prayer marked, one of the IPOB members said “he is one of them,” following which they shot and killed him.

The DSS official, who said he served In Imo between 2019 and 2023, told the court that the deceased’s corpse was evacuated from the spot where  he was killed in the witness’ car.

When he was being cross examined by defence lawyer, Onyechi Ikpeazu, SAN, the witness said there was no record of the importation of the transmitter said to have been smuggled in to the country by Kanu.

He said he could not say when the transmitter was brought into the country, but that he was among those who located where it was kept in Anambra and brought it to the DSS headquarters in Abuja.

On how they were able to locate the transmitter, the witness said his team used some equipment to analyse a video (showing Kanu inspecting the transmitter) to ascertain the location of the transmitter in Anambra.

He said he did not come across the names Benka Clearing and Forwarding and Chief Isaac Maduka in the course of investigation.

He also said he was not aware that Benka cleared the transmitter, as claimed by Ikpeazu.

When asked if he was aware that Radio Biafra was registered in London and broadcast from there, the witness said when Kanu was arrested in Lagos in 2016, he was arrested with his broadcast equipments.

He said he was not present when the defendant was arrested in Lagos and that all he said about his arrest in Lagos was what were relayed to him.

The witness said the two guns found were not recovered in the container in which the transmitter was kept, but under the mattress of Benjamin Madubugu, who lived in the premises.

The PW-4 said that Madubugu was later charged with unlawful possession of firearms.

The witness said the container was brought into the country by one Igwe Anyiba, who was later found to be living outside the country.

He said he was not aware that the Imo Government issued a statement to the effect that Gulak’s killing was political.

After DDD concluded his evidence, Justice Omotosho discharged him from the witness box and adjourned until June 19 for continuation of trial.

  • Nnamdi Kanu has no case to answer – IPOB tells Nigerian Govt, int’l community

Nnamdi Kanu has no case to answer – IPOB tells Nigerian Govt, int’l community

The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has told the International community and Nigerian Government that its leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a prisoner of conscience and has no case to answer.

The group said the continued prosecution of Kanu on bogus charges bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism is a gross violation of his fundamental rights.

IPOB stated this in a statement signed by the Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Emma Powerful on Saturday in Abuja

The group said they are not only begging for mercy but are demanding for justice.

The statement read in part “ We call on Nigerians, the international community, and all lovers of justice to heed this clarion call: Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no case to answer.

“The continued persecution of our leader is not only a gross violation of his fundamental rights but also an indictment of Nigeria’s judiciary, which has descended into a cesspool of judicial terrorism and criminal dereliction of duty.

“For too long, Nigerians have been misled by a false narrative propagated by the Nigerian state and its complicit media, claiming that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu faces charges of treason or terrorism.

“Let us set the record straight: the treasonable felony charges against our leader were struck out years ago when the former Attorney General, Abubakar Malami, realized the case was unwinnable. No treason was committed.

“The Nigerian state, in its desperation to silence the Biafran struggle, resorted to fabricating terrorism charges, despite the Federal High Court’s clear ruling that IPOB is a lawful organization.

“This ruling was brazenly overturned through forum shopping by Malami, who secured a proscription order from Justice Kafarati’s court without granting IPOB the fair hearing guaranteed under Section 36 of Nigeria’s Constitution.

“This act alone exposes the Nigerian judiciary as a tool of oppression rather than a bastion of justice”

The statement described the stay of execution to overturn a valid judgment reached in a criminal trial that discharged and acquitted Kanu as abuse of judicial process.

IPOB insisted that the Nigerian government is desperate to silence its struggle resorted to fabrication of terrorism charges despite the Federal high courts clear ruling that the organization is a lawful organization.

“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a prisoner of conscience, detained for his unwavering commitment to the self-determination of the Biafran people. The Nigerian state has no case against him.

“Should he ever take the stand to defend himself, the world will witness the unraveling of Nigeria’s façade of justice. IPOB is not begging for mercy; we demand justice. God Almighty, the ultimate witness to truth, stands with us.

“Under the leadership of our indomitable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, wishes to address the persistent misinformation and judicial travesty surrounding his unlawful detention and prosecution.

“Most egregious is the unprecedented abuse of judicial process by Justice Tsammani and his co-panelists at the Court of Appeal.

“In a move that defies the principles of law and justice, they employed a civil procedure—stay of execution—to overturn a valid judgment reached in a criminal trial, a ruling that had discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

“We urge Nigerians and the global community to study this law and recognize the hypocrisy of those who claim to uphold it while violating its very tenets.

“The Nigerian state’s obsession with persecuting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has exposed its judiciary as a willing accomplice in a neo-colonial agenda to suppress the legitimate aspirations of the Biafran people.

“This persecution is not just an attack on one man but an assault on justice, truth, and the rule of law. Nigeria risks destroying whatever is left of its global reputation and reducing its judiciary to a laughingstock.

“Those encouraging the Tinubu regime to persist in this dangerous path do not wish Nigeria well. They underestimate the unyielding resolve and fanatical devotion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the cause of Biafra.

“His courage, even in chains, as evidenced in videos of his interrogations by the DSS, stands as a testament to his unbreakable spirit and the righteousness of our cause”
