  • I will soon release pictures of married women Iyanya slept with- Ubi Franklin

The last is yet to be heard about the rift between former friends and business partners, Iyanya and Ubi Franklin.

The two men went their separate ways few years back and until now, have not been seen in company of each other. However, in a twist of events, the parties have decided to wash their dirty linen in public, revealing shocking details about their business relationship.

Iyanya had said on countless occasions that Ubi Franklin cheated on him. On the other hand, Franklin has debunked the claim by saying Iyanya was never interested in the business side of Made Men Music Group.

In a new interview with Native Magazine, Franklin has fired back at Iyanya, adding that ‘ the ‘Your Waist’ crooner sleeps with married women.

In his words:”Iyanya is a big liar. He has been saying it for many years that he is going to use Emma Nyra against me. I’m not going to speak about Emma Nyra unless she talks. We have a contract binding us not to say anything. Why didn’t he say on his interview that I beat up Emma Nyra?

“We didn’t agree. You see, Emma Nyra’s situation, I cannot say much about it because I am binded by contract not to say anything about our situation. I am not going to say anything about it. Because if I say anything about it, I have a legal suit that I’m going to pay 10 million naira. So, I’m not going to say anything about Emma Nyra. If she does, I’d have to collect 10 million because me and Emma Nyra don’t really have any problem. Even when she had the twins, we spoke. I even sent her a message. So, we don’t have problems. These problems are problems Iyanya is trying to create to hype himself up.

“Bro, I’d advise you not to. Because I would put out all the married women he slept with. Their pictures side by side for me. Bro I don’t want to talk. Because if you allow me to do that to him, I’d drag him through the whole of this country. I’m not scared of shit. What I want about this matter is for people to see clarity. If Emma Nyra has issues she would come and say it herself. Emma Nyra is a mother now. I think her focus is different. And she even wouldn’t want to be involved in all this. I wish Iyanya was a father. If he was a father, most of these things he is saying he would not do it. When I kept watching his interviews I kept laughing. Bro, don’t let me do this to this to this guy”.

  • I got distracted by the whole Ubi Franklin controversy- Iyanya

Nigerian singer, Iyanya has declared that he got distracted by the controversy between him and his former record label boss, Ubi Franklin.

TheNewsGuru recalls that the internet has been abuzz with reactions from the interviews granted by Kukere singer, Iyanya, and his former record label boss and friend.

In the interviews, they both traded words, revealing what led to their fallout.

However in a chat with Punch, Iyanya revealed that he got blindsided by the whole drama.

“I just want to focus on music. Right now, my major focus is on my new record label, Violet 360. I was actually doing a media tour for the new label before I got blindsided with the whole Ubi story; that was never meant to be the focus. I see it as a distraction. People can think whatever they like; I have no control over that. I just finished recording a song with Duncan Mighty and I would prefer we focus on that. Very soon, I will be putting out an Extended Play album titled, The Rebirth.”

On why he just decided to start a label instead of when he left MMMG some years ago, Iyanya said, “Don’t worry, I’m going to tell my story soon, probably in a book or TV series; that way, I can make money off it. People have been asking me a lot of questions about that but I will like to keep mum for now.”

Money doesn’t lie, people do- Emma Nyra reacts over Iyanya, Ubi rift

When Emma Nyra, former first lady of Triple MG left the record label, it wasn’t without drama and controversy.

Both Emma and Ubi Franklin who were once rumoured to be dating one another, took each other to the cleaners and put up a bit of a show on social media.

Fast forward to 2019, Emma Nyra has relocated to the US and now a mother of twins.

The beautiful singer took to her twitter handle to react over the ongoing rift between Ubi Franklin and Iyanya.

Emma Nyra, whom Iyanya said was responsible for naming Tripple MG wrote:” Money isn’t the root of all evil, lies are. Money doesn’t lie. People do. God knows the truth. God sees all. Maybe one day you will realize that money is not the essence of life. Better go and find peace and happiness. I’m enjoying motherhood and my family comes first #NoDrama”

In a recent interview with Cool FM, Iyanya revealed that Ubi Franklin betrayed him.

“‘I remember our first fight was when I was on tour in America with Tekno and he told me that Ubi told him I don’t like him, Tekno also revealed how he had made well over 30million since we signed him but Ubi never told me.

“Then what spoilt it was when Ubi brought me a CAC form with 400 shares allocated to me but someone called me to confirm and i took a flight to Abuja, I went to CAC and lo and behold I saw the forms I filled but my name was no longer there, Ubi had replaced it all with his brothers. I was totally mad and when I came back to confront him, he was begging me”

  • Iyanya is telling lies, doesn’t like Tekno- Ubi Franklin

Iyanya is telling lies, doesn’t like Tekno- Ubi Franklin

The rift between Ubi Franklin and his former business partner, Iyanya is getting more intense.

Following recent allegations made by Iyanya against his former business partner, Ubi Franklin during their days together at Made Men Music Group [Triple MG], where Iyanya in separate interviews claimed that his time at the label were ”dark times”, Ubi Franklin has shared his own part of the story.

In an engaging interview with Cool FM on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, Ubi responded to the allegations, also provided documents to back up his claims.

When asked why Iyanya’s name was not on the original document that was just used in registering the record label as a business, he stated that Iyanya had asked to be left out as he didn’t want to sign anything, adding that he just wanted to do music.

”Iyanya was not part of it, he said he wanted to focus on the music”,Franklin said.

He also opened up on the point at which they were forced to re-draft the document and include Iyanya’s name on it.

”In August/September 2012, we had gone for a top Government official’s Mum burial in Delta State. At the airport, we saw a woman carrying her bag and I told Iyanya to go after her and help carry her bag. She now introduced herself and they started talking. It was while trying to get a loan that the bank insisted on Iyanya’s name on the document before they can approve the loan.

In September, we went back to CAC to rectify the documents, I put my brothers names initially on the contract because Iyanya didn’t want to sign and the document can’t have only me on it.

After the second CAC document was ready, we signed a Joint Venture document stating that every money that the company makes, we will share 50/50.We got a loan from the bank and Freda Francis [A mutual friend] was the person that gave us the security to back up our loan. We were able to push ‘Kukere’ to the next level, ‘Your Waist’ and other songs”.

Speaking further, Ubi Franklin said Iyanya doesn’t like Tekno. He noted that Iyanya wasn’t interested in him signing Tekno.

At this point, I had contacted Iyanya and told him I would like to also sign Tekno and he told me point blank, I don’t want to be part of anything artist, I want to focus on my career and I am not interested in signing any artist.

Iyanya doesn’t like Tekno and I have proof to show that.

Freda Francis called me and said Ubi know you are great business guy and you know you want to do this, do it. I believed Tekno was going to be a big star.

Iyanya never spent a dime to promote Tekno. When ‘Duro’ came out and did well, I had bills to clear.

In 2016, Tekno had started making money and Iyanya said why is he not making money from Tekno. I said don’t f**k with me… You are supposed to apologize to me for not putting money in Tekno’s career.

“Before we started making money I transferred Tekno’s management to another company.

When someone says I have made N30M and we all run expenses and Tekno had shot three videos. If you take Tekno’s percentage and give to Iyanya how much will be left?

”Iyanya felt things were not moving fine that I was distracted with other artists. So he called us to his personal house in London to settle it.

When he said he was leaving, I was like fine, I left and went back to take care of my family.

A few days after the birth of my son, he posted that he had left the record label. He was sending me messages for settlement agreement. I didn’t know he had gone to another record label”

When asked about the allegations raised by Iyanya about his signature being forged by him, he said:”I have never forged anybody’s signature. I was sent to school to read law and I know the legal implications of forgery and I will never do that”

  • How Ubi Franklin betrayed me- Iyanya

Despite all his efforts to stay off controversy, MMMG boss, Ubi Frankline has had his own share of publicity, both for good and bad reasons.

From the time he started dating Lilian Esoro until their marriage which was surrounded by many controversies hit the rocks, to when he parted ways with his former record label mate, Iyanya, Franklin has always been in the eyes of the storm.

Social media has been awash with a myriad of reactions over an interview Iyanya granted on Ndani TV where he claimed that he left the label because he couldn’t trust Ubi Franklin anymore.

Ubi Franklin also took to his Instagram page saying that Iyanya lied to the world in order to make himself look good.

In a new development, Iyanya during an interview with Daddy Freeze on Cool FM recounted how things fell apart.

In his words, ‘I remember our first fight was when I was on tour in America with Tekno and he told me that Ubi told him I don’t like him, Tekno also revealed how he had made well over 30million since we signed him but Ubi never told me.

Says: ‘He lied to the world to make himself feel good’

Social media has been awash with reactions over an interview Iyanya recently granted where he said he didn’t sell his assets when he left the Ubi Franklin led MMMG.

During the tell-it-all interview, the crooner noted that Don Jazzy gave him life after he and Ubi Franklin fell apart.

When asked what led to his departure from Made Men Music MMM, Iyanya said: “What people don’t know is, I didn’t sell my share. People see me and say oh why did you sell your share? I didn’t sell my shares; I left Made Men at the time because there was so much darkness. In the midst of all the wings, I decided to let that go.

When I said it was darkness, I was not myself anymore because I felt like there was no trust anymore”.

Ubi Franklin has taken to his Instagram page to react over Iyanya’s allegations.

He shared a series of paper documents and conversations between himself and Iyanya, saying they are proofs that Iyanya lied to the world to make himself look good.

Ubi stated that he will be addressing the issue in an interview in one hour time.

According to him: “It’s very unfortunate that A person I took as my brother had to lie to the world to make himself look good.Always wait for both sides of the story to call people names.
Here is to prove that iyanya Lied to make himself look good.Exclusive interview dropping in 1hour
I have never fought anyone I have worked with, dated or married publicly and I swore never to do that.

I left Ubi Franklin because there was no trust anymore- Iyanya

Fans of Iyanya will not forget in a hurry the uproar that was created when the ‘Applaudise’ singer announced his exit from MMMG in 2016.

Many wondered why a co-owner of the label would exit in such an unceremonious manner.

According to reports, Ubi and Iyanya have been at loggerheads over finances and a lot of other key decisions on the running of the label. Iyanya finally had to exit the label, in order to focus on building his own brand.

In a recent chat on Ndani TV, the ‘Your waist’ crooner revealed what truly made him exit the record label.

In his words: “What people don’t know is, I didn’t sell my share. People see me and say oh why did you sell your share? I didn’t sell my shares, I left Made Men at the time because there was so much darkness. In the midst of all the wings, I decided to let that go.

When I said it was darkness, I was not myself anymore because I felt like there was no trust anymore. Because at the time I was singing I co-owned Made Men with Ubi but I later realized that my name was not in any of the forms I signed and I was broken and that was the beginning of me just saying to hell with everything” he said.

When Iyanya left Made Men Music Group, he found solace in Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.

”Jazzy gave me that platform to put music out because I left Made Men and I didn’t want anything from Made Men, so Jazzy just said look, man, you’ve built something over the years and starting all over is not going to be as easy as you think, so just put out music from here and work on something. So people really thought I signed to Mavin but it wasn’t like a legal signing, it was just love. And then Temple Music came, when Temple music came, I love the vision, I love the dream and I was like Okay, let me try this, and that was when I released “Up To Something,” “Hold On,” I mean,“Good Vibes. And after that, it was time for me to move, because I felt like I got to the point where I have to put out my own thing, have my own family, have my own team”.

Iyanya noted that collaborating with the Don Jazzy led Mavin Records, brought him healing.

“That was healing for me, that was the best time of whole situation I was in, that was the best moment because Jazzy just opened his family and said look, you’re one of us and everybody just showed me that love coz it came from Jazzy. So from Jazzy to Tiwa, to Baby Fresh to everybody, it was just love and that really gave me life because, to be honest with you, I was broken. Like I was broken!” he said

The two musicians, who are signed on the same management platform, reached out to Teddy A through their Twitter accounts after his eviction on Sunday.

‘Kukere’ crooner, Iyanya wrote @Iyanya, “Yooooo @iamteddya #Biko hit me up once you get into Gidi. Make we enter studio cook banger! #AlphaMale #BBNajia #TMC #BeTheMovement.”

Meanwhile, other Nigerian stars have been drumming support for Teddy A right after his eviction, especially the growth of his music with some urging him to utilise the platform.

Mavin records boss Don Jazzy wrote on his Twitter handle @donjazzy, “Bam and Teddy will be very fine sha. Win or no win. They are mad talented and ready for the industry. #bbnaija.”

Former Big Brother Africa winner, Uti Nwachukwu, wrote @siruti, “TeddyA’s screen presence is undeniably extreme. The man is def gonna go places.”

Acclaimed media personality J.J. Omojuwa @omojuwa tweeted, “Teddy A will do outside the house. At least he got the talent and persona to be a star.”

Teddy A was evicted on Sunday after securing total 16.81 per cent of the votes, coming third after Nina and CeeC.

The housemate, who was best known for his musical prowess, spent the most part of his stay in the house glued to his love interest BamBam.

However, in a twist, BamBam was evicted on Saturday after the party, which left Teddy A feeling down as he visibly shed tears.

The ex-housemate reiterated the need to focus on his music now that his time on the show is over.

This leaves CeeC, Nina, Rico Swavey, Miracle, Tobi, Alex, Anto, Lolu and Khloe to continue the battle for the 45 million naira star prize.

I am no longer with Mavin Records- Iyanya declares

In recent times, there have been speculations over Iyanya’s contract with the Don Jazzy led Mavin Records.

In November 2017, social media was awash with news that Iyanya has parted ways with the record label. The ‘Kukere’ crooner neither deny nor confirm the report.

The singer finally confirmed today in an interview with Beat FM that he has left the label.

He said: “I’m now signed to Temple Music but I’m a Mavin for life. It was not a beef. I was there and it was time to move on”.

The artistes currently signed to the label are Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, D’Prince, Di’Ja, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Johnny Drille, Poe, and the DNA Twins.

What Dr Sid said about Iyanya will shock you

  • Has 2017 been a terrible year for the Mavins?

In 2014, Nigerian author and PR expert, Toni Kan noted that the Don Jazzy led record label, Mavins has bankable musical stars. He puts it this way: “No Nigerian music label has the number of bankable musical stars like Mavin records”.

Fast forward to 2017, the crew who gave us songs like Dorobucci, Eminado and Surulere, seem to have lost the midas touch they are known for.

Now let us take a look at the individual talents signed to the label and how they fared in 2017

    Korede Bello

Though Korede Bello generated 100,000 million for some of his music videos in 2017, the young dude didn’t record any major feat in 2017.

Asides collaborations with Bracket and Sarkodie, the Godwin crooner didn’t release any new song in 2017.

    Dr Sid

Sidney Onoriode Esiri known as Dr Sid once ruled the airwaves with his hit song, ‘Surulere’ but the chubby singer’s performance in 2017 wasn’t remarkable. The singer released a highlife tune titled Jensimi which has 37,000 views on YouTube as at the time of this report. That alone was not able to catapult him to the top in 2017.

    Dija

Ever since Dija was signed to the label, her biggest song has been ‘Awww’ which currently has over 3m views on Youtube as at the time of this report.

Punch describes Dija’s craft this way: “Three years down the line, Di’ja still cannot boast of a robust repertoire of music. Meanwhile, Korede Bello and Reekado Banks, who were signed to Mavin at about the same time with her, have been able to churn out some hits, and even have an album each to their names”

The mother of one recently unveiled her eponymous EP which is yet to make any key impression in the Nigerian music terrain. The biggest song on the EP is ‘My Lover’ which has over 14,000 views on YouTube.

    Iyanya

No doubts, Iyanya is one of the most endowed Nigerian artistes of his generation. Earlier in the year, there were a myriad of speculations that the singer has parted with the Don Jazzy led Mavin Records, which they failed to debunk.

Iyanya’s work ethic doubled in 2017, releasing songs like ‘Iyanu’, ‘Bow for you’, ‘Odoyewu’. His biggest song of 2017 is ‘ Bow for you’ with over 500,000 views on YouTube

    D’Prince

Years back, D’Prince shook the entertainment industry with his hit song, ‘Omoba’ which can be regarded as his claim to fame. However the lanky singer has not been able to replicate the success of that song.

This year the singer served his fans two singles ‘Sade’ and ‘So Nice’. His biggest song of 2017 is ‘So Nice’ with 200,000 views( as at the time of filing this report).

    Reekado Banks

The velvety voiced Reekado is one of the bankable artistes signed to the label at the moment. His visibility, star power and work ethic is unparalled. The crooner’s biggest song of 2017 is the highlife tune, ‘Easy Jeje’ with over 2m views on YouTube.

In addition, he also released singles like ‘Move’ and ‘Like’. The singer is currently preparing for his annual ‘Thank You’ concert slated to hold in Ibadan.

    SAVAGE
    SAVAGE

    Tiwa Savage

Like a phoenix Tiwa Savage rose from the 2016 scandal that threatened her marriage and career. This year she released an EP titled ‘ Sugarcane’ with singles like ‘Ma lo’ ‘All Over’ and ‘Sugarcane’.

The Afropop ‘Ma lo’ which features Wizkid has 7.4m views on YouTube, a month after its release.

Tiwa stuck to her formula of releasing relatable songs, showcasing her sex appeal and an improved work ethic. She is unquestionably one of the biggest Nigerian stars of 2017.

While it is safe to say majority of the artistes on the label failed to soar in 2017, the duo of Tiwa Savage and Reekado Banks cannot be ignored.
