‘Tinubu can fix Nigeria’s problems’ -Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo
The national leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) and presidential aspirant Bola Ahmed Tinubu has hinted that he helped Rauf Aregbesola, Kayode Fayemi , Olusegun Mimiko to become governors of their respective state. Tinubu made this declaration when he paid courtesy visit to three prominent traditional rulers in Ondo state.
Speaking at the Palace of the Deji of Akure, when he paid a courtesy visit, he disclosed how he was able to reclaim the mandate for Governor Mimiko through the court of law. He added that he has helped many people politically and now is his turn to be helped.
“We helped Buhari sack them (PDP). We supported him to complete his eight-year term and I have told him I want to succeed him. He said I should go ahead, that is why I came to seek the support of the traditional rulers.”
In his submission, Tinubu promised to fix Nigeria if elected, saying that will be his greatest priority.
“Lagos State was the worst state in Africa when I became governor, we generate meagre revenue then but we did our best. Look at Lagos now, it generates over N40 billion in revenue.
“Division is one of the problems in Nigeria too but there is no division in Lagos because any tribe or religion is welcomed as they can contest and win elections. That is why Lagos is thriving.
“Nigeria has the potential to compete with Russia in oil and gas exploration. If we harness our resources properly and if there is stable electricity, Nigeria will also compete with other nations in manufacturing.
“I am here to seek the blessing of our royal fathers for my presidential ambition because I know where the problems are and if given the opportunity in 2023, Nigeria will be ranked among the best nations in the world. I am imploring all eligible voters to get their Permanent Voters Card revalidated for them to exercise their civic responsibilities,” He said
Deji of Akure Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, eulogized Tinubu, saying that he has the magic wand to fix the country’s Problems.

President Buhari’s aide endorses Tinubu’s candidacy
One of president Buhari’s aides has openly endorsed the candidacy of Senaroe Bola Ahmed Tinubu
Tinubu, who made his presidential ambition public during a visit to Aso Rock last month, has been soliciting support across the country.
Some traditional rulers, politicians and different groups have assured the former Lagos governor of their support.
On Wednesday, Bashir Ahmad, one of the personal aides of Buhari, joined the league of those open to a Tinubu presidency.
Bashir made his support for Tinubu known while responding to a question posed by a Twitter user.
Tweeting via @slywhite0012, one Sylva White, had asked, “Bashir, I want to ask you a question and same time with a honest reply without being biased. Btw Tinubu and GEJ, who would you prefer to take over from your boss? You also want the best for us too.”
Responding, the presidential aide said, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu!”Unlike his aide, Buhari has made it clear that he does not care about who succeeds him.
During a television interview he granted earlier in the year, Buhari had said, “2023 is not my problem, I don’t care who succeeds me, let the person come, whoever the person is. All important things I make sure I put them on record. Nobody should ask me to come and give any evidence in court, otherwise, whoever it is will be in trouble.
“I don’t have a favourite for 2023 in my party, I wouldn’t because he will be eliminated before I mention, it is better I keep it a secret.”

[Video] Lekki shootings: I’m still the Asiwaju, Jagaban of Lagos, Tinubu boasts
National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday made his first public outing after the shootings of #ENDSARs protesters in Lekki on Tuesday night.
Tinubu who spoke with newsmen in Lagos during a visit to Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu at the State House in Marina boasted that he is still the Asiwaju and Jagaban of Lagos.
He told journalists that the purpose of his meeting with Sanwo-Olu was to ask him if he had ordered soldiers to attack #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday – “if he didn’t order the attack, who ordered the attack? That’s all I needed from him.”
He added, “First, we have to segregate the calendar – those who suffered casualty before the protests from the hands of SARS. You have to separate that from those who suffered casualty due to what happened at the toll gate.
“For those who suffered casualty from SARS, the Commission of Inquiry that is already set up will unearth that and will make their recommendations. I trust the calibre and the character of the people there, they are independent…Casualties of Lekki Shootings have some questions to answer; how are they there? How long were they there? What kind of characters are they?”
“I’m still the Asiwaju and Jagaban of Lagos…whatever they think, fake news is all over the place. They said Seyi my son was kidnapped, he is here. It is all a joke.”
