Not for love: Jaruma reveals real reason she got married

Controversial Nigerian sex therapist Hauwa Mohammed, known as Jaruma has revealed the reason she married her ex-husband, Ross Fahad Isabor, citing intense backlash from society as a motive.

Jaruma, who runs a sex enhancement brand, in an interview with ‘Issues and Society’ podcast,  said the criticism from northerners rooted in her Muslim faith and single status pushed her to settle down with someone she did not love.

The sex therapist also claimed her ex-husband was aware of her reasons

She said, “There was a massive heat from the north because I was selling sex products as a single lady

“There was so much attack, me being a Muslim and a single lady. They wondered why people allow a single lady teach them what happens in the bedroom for lots of money.

“It wasn’t easy at all. The sex industry is a multi billion industry, the industry is never going to die and I have made N760 million in three years.

“So I thought the industry will not die and I have a booming business so I cannot just leave because of the heat I was going.

“I just said if marriage is the problem, let me just do it and get it over with so I got married.

“I didn’t get married because of love, being into the man or there was a long courtship.

“I just got married to get away from the pressure I got from the north. I got married just after a month of meeting.

“I told him about the reason I got married to him, he knew it was not for love but for the pressure.”

In 2021, Jaruma and her husband, Isabor, separated. The union was blessed with a child.

Jaruma stated that anyone who wants a phone conversation must pay N250,000 in addition to paying $1,000,000 for a face-to-face meeting.

She gave the impression that the women in the show valued her friendship more than her professional relationship and that they were fortunate to have her seated next to them because she rarely goes to events despite being compensated to do so.

Jaruma said; “Yes, it is a privilege. How much is it? Talking to Jaruma on the phone is N250,000. Seeing Jaruma face to face is 1 million naira. Who are these peasants?”.

Jaruma’s appearance as she speaks on ‘date invitation’ to Tinubu’s inauguration stirs reactions
Controversial Kayanmata seller, Jaruma Empire may be in for dragging from some Nigerians who were dissatisfied with her mode of dressing in new video.

In the clip, the aphrodisiac expert who was in the nightgown that saw her ditching a ‘bra’ and appearing almost bare-chested, revealed that a politician invited her as a date to the president-elect, Bola Tinubu’s inauguration and she wanted some advice from people on whether she should attend.

Jaruma stated that there are three former vice presidents and a former governor she dated in the past, who are capable of asking her to attend Tinubu’s inauguration with them.

She, however, said that the invitation does not immediately translate to her getting back with the person or being romantically inclined with the former public office holder.

Her appearance in the video did not go down well with some critics on social media who dragged her for exposing too much flesh.

Billionaire wife, Regina Daniels speaks on Jaruma’s arrest

Regina Daniels, wife of Nigerian billionaire, Ned Nwoko has finally opened up on the ongoing controversy between her husband and a popular sex therapist, Jaruma who sells an aphrodisiac called kayamata.

Regina had disowned Jaruma for claiming that she used one of her products to keep Nwoko as her husband.

But Jaruma had hit back at the actress and alleged non-delivery on an advertisement job for which she claimed to have paid her the sum of N10 million.

Jaruma also went ahead to accuse Nwoko of benefiting from her product, a claim which the politician denied.

The businessman, later accused Jaruma of publishing falsehoods on her Instagram page against him and Regina, resulting in her arrest by the police.

Jaruma had been remanded in prison custody since Tuesday after she was arrested and arraigned in court for defamation.

Reacting to the developments on her Instagram, Regina dismissed Jaruma’s claim that she failed to deliver an advert she paid her for.

The film star said she delivered on the job based on various discussions, but she only declined some terms she considered deceptive from the entrepreneur.

Daniels distanced herself from Jaruma, insisting that she has no business with the popular vendor.

“I’m writing this because I feel y’all deserve an explanation to the general misrepresentation going around me being paid for a job and was not able to deliver. The fact is that I delivered on the job based on our various discussions,” she wrote.

“She was to provide contents and I was simply to post on my page. She sent me a draft agreement which I declined to sign because I found some of the terms deceitful but she insisted we proceed on my own terms. Miss jaruma also came up with different content ideas that were not acceptable to me because they would have been deceitful to me and the public. Such as:

“1. She wanted a post saying my husband got me the jaruma chocolates and I clearly said to her to leave my husband out of our discussions

“2. She said she will present me with a cow gift. I was to make videos thanking her, and afterwards return the cow. I was suspicious of the motive and I declined.

“3. She wanted to gift me with her outfits and accessories for a video afterwards, to return the items. Again I declined

“4. She suggested to have a failed suicide attempt because I would run to her rescue again it was unacceptable to me.”

Regina said her friendship with Jaruma hit the rocks after she refused to take down a post wherein she accused her of being the cause of the crisis in her family at the time.

“Miss jaruma ruined every form of agreement or friendship we had when she falsely said to the general public that I was the cause of a major crisis going on in my family I went ahead to message her to take down the post but she didn’t,” she added.

The actress also said Jaruma’s arrest and arraignment has nothing to do with the business deal she had with her.

According to her, her arraignment was due to “the various false and malicious publications against my husband.”

“Please note the petition, arrest and the detention of Jaruma has absolutely nothing to do with the business deal between me and her. But simply arose from the various false and malicious publications against my husband,” she added.

The court had fixed Friday to rule on a bail application by Jaruma with the trial scheduled to continue on February 23.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecution counsel then prayed the court to grant him a date to open his case against the defendant.

The prosecution then prayed the court to remand the defendant in police custody for 7 days.

“This is to enable detectives to interrogate her; and execute a search warrant in her apartments at her residence,’’ Inegbenoise prayed the court.

Odibe told the court that the two parties are celebrities and equally urged the court to grant the defendant bail on self-recognition or in the alternative, in the most liberal terms.

He submitted in addition that the defendant will not jump bail and that she was on police administrative bail.

But the court ruled that Jaruma be remanded in custody with her bail ruling fixed for Friday said her trial fixed for February 23.
