    Following his cheating revelation, famous rapper Jay-z has revealed that his marriage to Beyonce wasn’t built on truth. Jay-z who has been married to Beyonce for 9 years said the ‘hardest thing’ he has ever had to do is facing up to potential difficulties in his marriage and trying to work them out.

    Hear him: “This is my real life. I just ran into this place and we built this big, beautiful mansion of a relationship that wasn’t totally built on the 100 per cent truth and it starts cracking.Things start happening that the public can see. Then we had to get to a point of, “OK, tear this down and let’s start from the beginning … It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done.I was on a boat, and I had the best time. I was like, “Man, this is great.” Then she had to leave. I was, like, crushed. “Man, I don’t even feel like this. What is happening to my body right now? I don’t even feel like this. Did I just say… Don’t leave?”

    As for his confessional new album , JAY-Z said in the video he did play it for Beyoncé before the record’s release.

    “We’ve been in that space where we just got to a place where, in order for this to work, this can’t be fake,” he said. “Not one ounce. I’m not saying it wasn’t uncomfortable because obviously, it was. But because we’ve been doing this for so long, it was less uncomfortable.”

    Kanye West intensifies feud with Jay-Z, leaves Tidal

    American rapper, Kanye West has left the Tidal stable, an online streaming service owned by rapper/hip-hop mogul Jay Z. TMZ reports that Tidal has threatened to sue West who is said to have been unhappy with the company for some time because he was owed $3 million.

     

    The report reveals that a month ago, West’s lawyer sent a letter to the company dismissing his contract stating Tidal was in breach of their agreement.Efforts by attorneys from both sides supposedly failed to resolve the conflict.

     

    The report also reveals that West has two issues with Tidal – failure to pay him a bonus after his Saint Pablo album added one and a half million new subscribers to the company and failure to compensate him for music videos.

     

    Tidal purportedly accused Kanye of not providing the video required by the contract but the rapper said he will deliver when he is paid.

     

    The company said that it would sue West if he tried going to another streaming service.

     

    The rapper is said to have threatened to sue back.

     

    West’s decision to leave Tidal had been made before the release of Jay Z’s ‘4:44’ album in which he appeared to diss the rapper.

     

    On the album released earlier this week, Jay Z apparently made reference to West on the opening track ‘Kill Jay-Z’.

     

    He rapped: “You dropped outta school, you lost your principles/ I know people backstab you, I feel bad too/ But this fuck everybody attitude ain’t natural.” He goes on, “But you ain’t the same, this ain’t KumbaYe/ But you got hurt because you think KumbaYe/ You gave him 20 million without thinkin’/ He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’?/ ‘Fuck wrong with everybody?’ is what you sayin’/ But if everybody’s crazy, you’re the one that’s insane.”

    Jay Z, Beyonce reveal names of their twins

    Showbiz power couple, Jay-Z, and Beyonce have finally revealed the name of their newborn twins after much suspense. According to reports, the couple christened them Rumi Carter and Sir Carter. Recall that they christened their first five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

    TMZ reports that Beyonce and Jay Z run a company that owns the trademarks to their names. There also speculations that the company just filed legal documents to secure the rights to the names to be used for various merchandise like baby teething rings, baby carriages, strollers, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags etc.

    Although the pop superstar and the rapper are yet to comment on the matter themselves, the claims were submitted from an identical California address to an earlier application for the name of their five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

    The 35-year-old star, whose 2016 album Lemonade narrowly missed out on a Grammy, declared she was pregnant in February. She posted an image showing her bump on Instagram.

    “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. The Carters,” she wrote at the time.

    Jay-Z has unveiled his much-anticipated album and as expected it has been the subject of online conversations. The album is a departure from what he is known for, prideful lyrics and bragging. In the album titled 4.44, Jay-Z undresses himself, revealing he once cheated on his wife Beyonce.

     

    The Roc Nation president also revealed on the album that his mother, Gloria Carter, is a lesbian. He puts it this way:” Took for these natural twins to believe in miracles / Took me too long for this song / Like the men before me, I cut off my nose to spite my face / I never wanted another woman to know / Something about me that you didn’t know,” he raps on the title track ‘4:44’.

     

    “If my children knew, I don’t even know what I would do / If they ain’t look at me the same, I would prolly die with all the shame / You did what with who? What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate, you risked that for Blue?”

     

    On ‘Smile’, Jay-Z opens up on his mother’s sexuality, stating that she dealt with the stigma of being a lesbian for so many years.

     

    “Mama had four kids but she’s a lesbian / Had to pretend so long, that she’s a thespian. Don’t matter to me if it’s him or her / I just want to see you smile through all the hate,” he croons.

     

    His mom who astoundingly features on the track delivered a spoken word verse, where she made remarks extensively on how she handled living in the closet.

     

    She rapped: “Living in the shadow/Can you imagine what kind of life it is to live? In the shadows, people see you as happy and free/Because that’s what you want them to see.

     

    “Living two lives, happy, but not free/You live in the shadows for fear of someone hurting your family or the person you love.

     

    “The world is changing and they say it’s time to be free/But you live with the fear of just being me. Living in the shadow feels like the safe place to be/No harm for them, no harm for me

     

    “But life is short, and it’s time to be free/Love who you love because life isn’t guaranteed.”

     

    The album was released on his Tidal streaming service which is now co-owned by telecom provider Sprint.

    Following the hype that surrounded the birth of Beyonce- Jay z twins, the twins who were born prematurely are currently being treated for jaundice. Daily Mail reports that the pop icons have not left the hospital since Beyoncé was admitted for delivery eight days ago. In addition, doctors had opted to keep them in for a ‘minor issue.’

    The twins have been said to have spent their first days under ‘bili lights,’ a photo-therapy designed to eradicate high levels of bilirubin in the blood.

     

    Doctors reveal that jaundice is quite common among newborns, especially pre-term births; and twins are said to be more disposed since they are seldom carried to full term.According to reports, the yellow substance is created when old red blood cells are changed for new ones; and heightened levels cause a baby’s skin and eyes to turn yellow.

    If left untreated, doctors reveal it can be very dangerous; but once identified, it is easily and usually successfully treated.

    For now, the celebrity couple are yet to reveal the sexes and names of the twins.

    Jay Z has been inducted into the songwriters Hall of Fame on Thursday (June 15) and rather than accepting the award in person, took to Twitter to thank his many influences.

    In his series of tweets, Jay Z who rarely uses social media — thanked loads of fellow artists including Rakim, 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Nas, J. Cole, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper, Lauryn Hill, Nicki Minaj, De La Soul, Eminem and plenty more. Almost comically, Jay Z kept the thanks coming with new names he had forgotten the time before, making comments like “this shit hard.”

    The showbiz icon was absent from the awards due his wife Beyonce’s pregnancy with twins, which are expected to be delivered soon. In the rapper’s place, his longtime longtime friend and music publisher, Warner/Chappell CEO Jon Platt, delivered an acceptance speech in his honor at the New York City induction ceremony.

    Meanwhile, on Twitter, Jay Z went on and on making his own speech of sorts.

  • Jayz breaks another record, gets songwriters induction

    American rapper and entrepreneur, Jayz has broken another record and added another feather to his cap. Jayz has become the first rapper inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The 2017 class of inductees also includes Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Max Martin, and Robert Lamm, James Pankow, and Peter Cetera of Chicago. (Berry Gordy, who deferred his induction from last year, also joins them.)

    The announcement was made earlier this week on on “CBS This Morning” by Nile Rodgers.

    The other artistes who got nominated but were not chosen were Madonna, George Michael, Sly Stone, Bryan Adams, Vince Gill, Kool & the Gang, Cat Stevens, Gloria Estefan, Jeff Lynne, and David Gates.

    The induction ceremony will take place June 15 at the Marriott Marquis in New York. Songwriters become eligible for induction after having a songwriting career of at least 20 years.

    Jayz took to twitter to express his appreciation. According to him:”By the way, this is a win for US,” he said. “I remember when rap was said to be a fad. We are now alongside some of the greatest writers in history”
