    Ghanaian actor John Dumelo to walk from Accra to Lagos barefooted if Ghana lose to Super Eagles

    Popular Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has vowed to walk barefooted from Accra to Lagos, should Super Eagles defeat the Black stars of Ghana in Accra.

    He made the statement on his twitter page Friday morning.

    Dumelo will walk over 1,075 kilometers on barefoot from Accra to Lagos with ginger on his head the next day after the match if the Black Stars lose.

    The 38-year-old actor cum politician expressed staunch confidence in the ability of the Black Stars of Ghana to defeat the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Babayara stadium in Kumasi

    “There’s no way Nigeria will win today’s match. If they do, I John Setor Dumelo, will walk barefoot from Accra to Lagos tomorrow morning with my ginger on my head. Super Eagles my foot”, Dumelo tweeted.

    The super Eagles of Nigeria will clash with the Black stars of Ghana for Qatar 2022 Worldcup ticket at the Babayara stadium in Kumasi with the return leg billed to hold at the Moshood Abiola stadium Abuja on Tuesday 29th of March.

    John Dumelo loses parliamentary election

    Lydia Alhassan, a Ghanaian politician has defeated John Dumelo, an actor to maintain her seat as representative of Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency at the country’s parliament.

    Alhassan of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) polled 39,851 out of the 77,604 total votes to defeat the movie star cum entrepreneur who had 37,778 votes.

    Gifty Botchway of the People’s National Congress (PNC) came third at the polls with 160 votes while Richard Amegatse, an independent candidate, snagged 108 votes to emerge fourth.

    Dumelo, who contested on the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC shocked many when he contested in the election.

    After the election results were announced, Alhassan had taken to her Twitter page to appreciate God as well as those who supported her at the polls.

    “Thank you God for an answered prayer. Thank you Ayawaso West Wuogon for this Victory. I take my scripture from Proverbs 21:31,” she wrote.

    Before the results were announced, Dumelo in the early hours of Tuesday, predicted that he would win the election when counting was being done at the Ayawaso West Wuogon Collation Centre in Accra.

    “We are still waiting for the Electoral commission to declare the final results. By the projection, I am in pole position to win when all the results are verified by the EC,” he wrote on Twitter.

    The excited role interpreter made the announcement via his Instagram page on Tuesday, October 16, 2018.

    John Dumelo in an open letter to his son couldn’t hide his joy over his arrival and promised to be a great dad.

    “John Jnr @johnd_jnr I’m glad you have finally arrived. It’s been months, weeks, days and hours of waiting…..You look just like we imagined. Infectious smile, bright eyes, curly hair, and chocolate skin. Before I get all emotional and write a whole book, lemme let you have these few words to guide you. You can do anything you want and be whoever you want to be just like how my dad allowed me to explore…Never give up.

    “Always aspire to be better and do better than before. Be a beacon of kindness and truth in this world. Don’t have hate in your heart or carry grudges. It is not worth the time and effort it takes when there are so many things in this world to enjoy and love. Do not let others influence who you choose to be, both as a person and in a career, because it is not their life to live, it is yours and it is the most beautiful thing,” he wrote.

    It didn’t end there, as he hilariously revealed that he couldn’t change diapers and prayed his son won’t laugh at him when the time comes.

    “Think outside the box JJ. Be a risk taker just like I am and don’t be afraid to fail. Failure gives you experience. Use that experience to conquer the world. Let God be your best friend and let Him guide your steps. I will start reading the Bible to you soon and that’s when you will understand how mysterious God works. And one last thing…I really don’t know how to change diapers, so please don’t laugh when that’s happening. I want to be better than my father….and I want you to be greater than me. Love, John Setor Dumelo, your Dad,” he concluded.

    The latest addition to the family is coming a few months after he tied the knot with his wife, Gifty Mawunya.

    Celebritiesbuzz reports that the traditional marriage reportedly took place around Spintex area in Accra, Ghana. Ghanaian stars like Nadia Buari, Jocelyn Dumas, Jackie Appaih were present to honur one of their own.

    Multiple online speculations reveal that Mawunya is a close friend of popular actress, Nadia Buari, who is suspected to have been instrumental to the couple meeting one another .

    Outspoken Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo has expressed his thought over the Shatta Wale death prophecy.

    A certain Ghanaian prophet, Cosmos Walker Affran, had predicted Shatta Wale’s death in a post on his Facebook page just as entertainers were grieving the death of dancehall singer, Ebony Reigns.

     

    Affran revealed:“Ghana should pray, I see a national mourning again the whole nation was in tears and this time is Ghanaian singer “Shatta wale”, and it is very close “death” . ” Thou saith the Lord”

    Shatta Wale, in swift response vowed to destroy some churches If he is still alive by December 2018.

     

    Dumelo in his reaction has warned Pastors against hiding under the guise of ‘I am a man of God’ to say ‘fake things’.

     

    He wrote on his verified twitter page “Some use “touch not my anointed” as a cover up to say fake things. Sorry, who anointed you?

    “It’s sad People fear men of God than God Himself. When you read your Bible you will get all your answers there. Your answer doesn’t lie with “Man of God”. It lies with your faith and God!”

    Suave Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur, John Dumelo has said that entertainers are hypocrites.

    The sought after actor reacting to the death of Ghanaian dancehall singer, Ebony Reigns, who died in a ghastly accident on Thursday evening, said entertainers show concern when colleagues die but do nothing to help them while they are alive.

    He declared on twitter: “We (entertainment industry) are all a bunch of hypocrites including myself. If ebony reached out to us to just retweet her song or share her song on social media, we won’t even care. Now she’s dead and no more we acting as if we care. Let’s change.”

    Ghanaian actor and entrepreneur has said that women behave badly when they are more financially empowered. He made the statement as a guest on a popular TV show.

    When asked If he would opt for a woman richer than him he said:” Women tend to behave badly when they are more financially secured in a relationship. Fortunately or unfortunately, when women have a lot of money, they tend to be somehow disrespectful.

     

    “I just want a woman who is okay but the potential is there to be rich, for us to be rich together. What I look out for is someone who is ambitious, a go –getter and entrepreneurial. We can make money together.I don’t mind going out with a woman who has more money than I do but I would make sure I have my own money as well. I wouldn’t want a case where I depend on the woman financially”.

     

    Dumelo studied at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology where he read Civil Engineering. He has since featured in television series such as, “Sun City” and “About To Wed.

    John has been nominated for Africa’s Most Promising Actor by AMMA 2010 for his role in “Heart of Men,” and also, another nomination for Best Actor by Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in “The Maidens.”
