10th senate: Akpabio, Kalu fail integrity test -APC chieftain

A former Kogi state commissioner for information and a stakeholder of the rulling All Progressives Congress, (APC), Dr. Tom Ohikere, has said two of the leading aspirants for the position of Senate President have failed an Integrity Test conducted on them by the media organization.

Ohikere in his opinion on Friday, revealed that the duo of Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu did not pass its integrity test, saying the two senators “are unsuitable” for the esteemed position of senate president.

Ohikere who is the publisher of APC NewsOnline disclosed that the medium conducted the Integrity Test on only the aspirants from the South where it said, the media organization believed the Senate President should come from.

APC NewsOnline, which Dr. Ohikere said was officially registered by the party and has been at the forefront of promoting the political activities and achievements of the party, consequently conducted the integrity test on the trio of Senator Godwilll Akpabio, Senator Orju Uzor Kalu, and Senator Osita Izunaso out of whom the online platform passed Senator Izunaso.

For the former Akwa Ibom State former Governor, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the APC media revealed: “Akpabio has not escaped the rigorous radar of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), he was arrested and investigations have been ongoing on the alleged theft of N108.1 billion of Akwa Ibom State funds.”

“In March this year, Akpabio was invited by the EFCC over allegations of N40 billion fraud perpetrated in the NDDC, a ministry that was headed by Akpabio for three years. The EFCC had invited Akpabio to come to its office on March 29, 2023, but his lawyer, Umeh Kalu SAN, in a letter to the anti-graft agency claimed that his client, Akpabio was suffering from pneumonia and cardiac arrhythmia.

Following his failure to honor its request, the EFCC wrote another letter inviting Senator Akpabio for interrogation on May 9, 2023, over cases of money laundering and sleaze running to billions of Naira, and the invitation, Akpabio ignored.

“Similarly, in 2021, the senator-elect was detained after he attempted to bribe the Chairman of the anti-graft agency, Abdulrasheed Bawa with $350,000 (about N135 million). According to sources, Akpabio was trying to bribe the EFCC Chairman because of the tons of corruption allegations against him, dating back to the time he was governor of Akwa Ibom State. ”

“Just last week, the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC was widely reported to have opened a can of worms on the humongous financial malfeasances being investigated by the commission about Senator Akpabio to the new President who was said to have been shell shocked with the revelations.

The present Senate of the 9th National Assembly is currently probing the same aspirant for the position of senate president, Senator Godswill Akppabio for expending about 2 Trillion Naira budget of the NDDC for two years, 2020 and 2021 without being appropriated by the National Assembly,

As for the former Governor of Abia State, the newspaper said Orji Uzor Kalu who was the chief whip of the 9th Senate also came with his baggage, as he was released from jail in 2020 by a federal high court in Lagos, months after a federal high court on December 5, 2019, jailed him for 12 years.

“Orji was convicted of N7.1bn fraud alongside his firm, Slok Nigeria Limited, and a former Director of Finance at the Abia State Government House, Jones Udeogu, in Charge No: FHC/ABJ/CR/56/2007 between the Federal Republic of Nigeria vs. Orji Uzor Kalu & 2 Ors on December 5,

Out of the three contenders from the southern part of Nigeria, Ohikere said only Senator Osita Izunaso passed the APC Integrity Test.

“But one man that seems to be a shining alternative, if not the only alternative is Senator Osita Izunaso, who like both men is also a Christian and from the South East, a region fiercely agitating for inclusion in the government after a perceived long stretch of marginalization. Senator Izunaso like the above has the requisite experience and political dexterity, and unlike the above duo comes with a clean record, without any fraud or criminal case attached to his name. Brilliant, deep, pragmatic, intellectually inclined, and a loyal party man, his political trajectory shows him as a man able to build consensus and play a politics that is people-oriented, a fresh face that will no doubt be a great sell for the renewed hope agenda.”

The complimentary media organization to the All Progressives Congress, therefore advised the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the leadership of APC to do only things that would promote the image of the party and avoid actions capable of damaging its reputation before Nigerians and the world generally.

10th NASS: Tinubu reassures on Akpabio/Barau, Abbas/Kalu tickets

…as Wase, Jaji snub meeting with president

… Tinubu begs Govs, lawmakers-elect to work for APC candidates

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured elected members of the incoming 10th National Assembly that his administration remains firm on the choices of candidates for presiding officers’ position made by the leadership of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).

The President stated this on Wednesday night when he met with Senators-elect and Members-elect of the APC at the Presidential Villa, with APC governors and other leaders of the party in attendance.

Details emerging from the meeting which was scheduled for 7:30pm on Wednesday revealed that Tinubu spoke firmly on the need to work for the victory of the APC’s candidates for the 10th National Assembly leadership.

A reliable source privy to this development who was at the meeting confirmed to TheNewsGuru.com, (TNG) that “the President appealed/begged them to work for Akpabio, Abbas, Barau and Kalu respectively.”

“He said the success of his administration largely depends on whether or not he gets it right with the leadership of the National Assembly.

The President is further quoted as urging them to see reasons with him, saying “the candidates were chosen for the stability of the nation.”

Those in attendance among the speakership aspirants were: the outgone chairman of the 9th House Appropriation Committee, Hon Muktar Betara Aliyu from Borno, outgone chairman of Navy Committee, Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi from Plateau, outgone chairperson of the People With Disability Committee, Hon. Miriam, Onuoha from Imo, as well as Chairman Committee on Water Resources, Hon. Sada Soli from Katsina.

“However, the outgone Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Idris Wase from Plateau, and Aminu Sani Jaji from Zamfara were conspicuously absent, despite getting invitation for the meeting,” the source said.

Recall that Wase had said during the House valedictory session on Wednesday that he would go ahead to contest for the Speaker’s seat because it has been prophesied that he would become Speaker.

Wase stated this after the House Leader, Alhassan Ado Doguwa (APC,Kano) pleaded with other aspirants to stepdown for the All Progressives Congress (APC) concensus candidate, Tajuddeen Abbas.

However, Wase who spoke immediately after Doguwa declared, as a democrat who believes in contest, he was determined to continue with the race until the end.

He added that, his contest is in the pursuit of a prophecy by the former governor of old Plateau State, late Solomon Lar who predicted his coming to the House of Representatives and becoming the Deputy Speaker and possibility of his Speakership.

“Of course, I want to appreciate my political leaders, among whom I would say is Solomon Lar, who, when I was contesting in 2007, I went to him and he prophesied the number of times I will come to this Assembly and I will tell this crowd and to the world, that he said, I will come to the Assembly in the number of times and prophesied even the number of leadership that I will attain and the Deputy Speakership and he prophesied next when I return, and I believe I will be Speaker and I believe I, In sha Allah, I will be the Speaker of the Green Chambers,” Wase insisted.

From the look of things, there is likelihood that only Wase would go to the floor to contest, while others may step down after the President’s appeal.

Speakership: 7 days to proclamation, Abass, Kalu coasting to victory as 106 of 143 NW, NC Reps-elect stamp their candidacy

Seven days to proclamation of tenth Assembly, the Speakership and Deputy Speakership candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the incoming 10th National Assembly, Hon. According to him, the massive support from all zones and ethnic and religious divides is clear evidence of members’ commitment to seeing Nigeria move forward, and an indication of a significant buy-in into the Abass and Kalu message of unity and competence rooted in inclusiveness and teamwork.

Hon. Ikenga described Abbas and Kalu’s legislative competence and capacity, plus their unrelenting reaching out and door-to-door engagement with members-elect, as “one of the reasons for the across-board acceptance.”

Ikenga said “the commitment of the Abbas/Kalu to a peoples’ 10th NASS leadership is not in doubt, as shown by the readiness of Abbas/Kalu to carry every member along in the quest to deliver on the agenda for a peoples parliament that will help in realizing the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

He said “Abbas and Kalu’s team spirit and unity are the first of their kind in the leadership race, with a Speaker and Deputy running together with a clear agenda for the members and the country.”

Ugochinyere therefore urged other aspirants to let go their ambitions, and support the duo towards delivering a people’s oriented 10th National Assembly.

He expressed optimism that “Abbas and Kalu’s Commitment with help deliver the renewed hope agenda of President Tinubu and also ensure a working and independent legislature endeared them to the lawmakers elect who agree that the 10th Nass needs a competent leadership with team spirit, unity, and INCLUSIVENESS which Abass and Kalu represent.”

They praised the legislative competence of Abbas and Kalu, which saw them moving over 100 bills that have over 23 already signed into law, and said the 10th Nass couldn’t miss such men with an iroko style legislative capacity rooted in teamwork, inclusiveness, and humility.

“They appreciated Abbas and Kalu’s unrelenting engagement with lawmakers with opposing views that they reached out, and extending hands of fellowship is something worthy of commendation. Odds are in their favour in winning the election come June 13th with the gale of endorsements flying in from all corners. Currently 106 out of 141 lawmakers-elect from Northwest and North Central (72 out of 92 lawmakers elect from the North West zone and 32 out of 51 North Central lawmakers) have declared their support at the ongoing zonal caucuses meeting by Abass and Kalu. In the coming days, we are optimistic that more members-elect will declare their support for the duo.”

… supporting APC’s choice a wise decision, Imo Gov tells Members-Elect

The chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, and executive Governor of Imo State, South East Nigeria, Senator Hope Uzodinma has said that the Forum has resolved to back the choice of the party for the Speakership and Deputy Speakership positions of the incoming 10th House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Hon. Benjamin Kalu Esq..

The Governor made the disclosure when he hosted the campaign team of the Abbas/Kalu joint ticket, led by the Joint Task –10th Assembly Coalition at the Imo State Governor’s Lodge on Monday evening in Asokoro Abuja.

He said the party has made the best choice of presiding officers for the House and the least the Governors should do is to ensure that the party’s preference and vision is actualized come June 13th.

The Governor commended members of the coalition who are drawn from the 8 political parties that won seats in the 10th House, saying they made the right decision to support the joint ticket.

“I congratulate you once more for the success you achieve in the last election and to commend you for coming together to form an alliance towards the speakership race. You have taken a good decision to support these two gentlemen. What we are practicing today is democracy and APC is the ruling party and you have a responsibility now to help the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to succeed, and we all know that the most sensitive arm of government is the legislature and if we make a mistake with it the other two arms will be affected.

“If the parliament is right, the government will be right, and I want to urge you to reach out to those who are aggrieved to persuade them to see the reason to agree with us. When you have a situation such as this, you will tell others your party is the best and in this instance, APC is in the majority and we have to demonstrate maturity by forging a common front in unity.

He urged aggrieved aspirants to close ranks with the party’s preferred candidates and work together to determine a purposeful legislature capable of promoting and projecting the overall interest of Nigerians, adding that Abbas’ choice by the party was not an imposition.

“There’s no such thing as imposition, it’s for the benefits of all of us, and the synergy will help us to achieve more for our people back home. If you say that it means you’re willing and ready to disagree with the majority including the government. We know you have the power of appropriation, but when you appropriate, what about cashbacking?

“You certainly don’t want to go home after four years and tell your people you couldn’t achieve anything because you were not co-operating with the executive for their benefit, but when you work in harmony, you will reap the benefits of the cooperation and your people back home will be the better for it,” the Governor admonished.

Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, the Governor said himself and his colleagues have resolved to demonstrate maturity and work with the choice of the party, saying that the duo of Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu represent the best in the present circumstance.

He said the National Assembly is not about what zone produces a presiding officer, but about who’s capable of handling the dynamic of current socioeconomic situations the masses have found themselves in, and that the progressive governors forum is confident that Hon. Abbas and Kalu will deliver to Nigerians the kind of legislature that engenders economic rejuvenation of the masses, social infrastructure such as quality schools, healthcare and security using instrumentality of laws that they will pass.

Earlier, the APC Speakership candidate and his Deputy, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and Hon. Benjamin Kalu, as well as the South East Zonal chairman of Joint Task – 10th Assembly, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji who is of the PDP commended the Governor for hosting the team and assuring them of the colleagues’ resolve to support the project.

They reiterated their readiness to ensure a united 10th Assembly and work towards actualizing the programmes and policies of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu led administration, bearing in mind the yearnings and aspirations of Nigerians.

Specifically, Hon Abbas expressed confidence in the ability of the Progressive Governors to ensure that the team as endorsed by the party is delivered come June 13th, adding that the hope of the common man rests on it as far as productive representation is concerned.

The Deputy speakership candidate, Hon. Benjamin Kalu in his comment thanked Governor Uzodinma for throwing his weight behind the ticket, saying that he trusts in his love for the parliament, being a product of the legislature himself.

Kalu explained that his candidature wasn’t an individual recognition, but a mandate of the entire South East, to be on the new team of leaders upon whom the task of providing positive change in the lives of Nigerians has been entrusted.

    …donates N5m

…vows to lobby for their emergence

…as Ikenga declares that both aspirants have over 220 Reps-elect support

A Civil Society Organization, known as the Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has endorsed the All Progressive Congress, APC anointed candidates, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Hon. Benjamin Kalu for Speaker, Deputy Speaker respectively.

Members of the leadership center who announced their endorsement when they paid a courtesy visit to the Communication Adviser to Tajudeen Ben Kalu movement group, (TBK) Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, at its headquarters in Abuja, revealed that they will making a massive donation of N5 million to the duo’s campaign.

Addressing Ugochinyere, ILDC country heads, High Chief Ugochukwu Nnam and Bashir Abubakar Shehu said after taking time to study all aspirants, they come to conclusion that the ruling party made the right choice in choosing Abass and Kalu to be the presiding officers of the 10th House.

ILDC described the duo as calm , intelligent men who have right educational background and legislative experience for the positions.

According to the group, Abass and Kalu from their legislative track record shows that they are core parliamentarians who over the years took their jobs seriously.

While noting that the duo’s achievements have placed them above other aspirants, the group appealed to the aggrieved aspirants to sheath their swords and support Abass and Kalu.

He added that aside the monetary donation they will be lobbying more Lawmakers to support the duo.

He said, “The time when lawmakers will elect the next leadership of the National Assembly is almost here. We are here as citizens who care about our nation. The development of any nation depends on the kind of leaders we elect. I believe the national working committee of the APC did a thorough research before arriving on the decision of Abass and Kalu as Speaker, Deputy Speaker.

“The duo’s achievements have placed them among the best. They have sponsored the highest number of bills in the lower chamber in the history of Nigeria. Also their performances in their previous offices and contributions to democracy in the country is equally admirable. We urge the aggrieved aspirants to be like their colleagues Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Hon. Abubakar Makki Yalleman, and Hon. Abdulhameed Olawuyi and jettison their ambitions and support Abass and Kalu. Aside the endorsement we will be donating N5 million and also lobby more Lawmakers to support them. We have made commitment to meet all members elect to lobby them to vote Tajudeen and Kalu. We will consult our representatives, it’s the ticket we have seen that has competence and inclusiveness. They are young and competent and we believe they turn around the image of the National Assembly for good.”

Receiving the group, Ugochinyere who’s also a member-elect representing Ideato North South Federal Constituency, expressed optimism that Abass and Kalu will be victorious, saying that they are currently enjoying support of over 200 members-elect.

While thanking them for their support, he told the group Abass and Kalu state caucuses meeting to consolidate victory will start today.

Ugochinyere said, “You’re all welcomed, I appreciate the commitment your group has shown in helping to lobbying other members elect for the success of this event. More importantly is coming all the way to show evidence of that support and believing in their candidacy, I pray God will help us in achieving this. It’s important I highlight some facts about tajudeen and Kalu their background so you understand the kind of leadership to expect. Abass was a lecturer, before he came to the National Assembly and has chaired different committees, currently chairing land transport. When you check the primary responsibility of a lawmaker which is to make law, he’s number one. This is facts not a propaganda, he has over 74 impactful bills to his name with 21 signed into law.

Kalu the deputy Speaker aspirant, has held admirable leadership positions before coming to House of Representatives and as a first timer he became the image maker of the house. He marketed the image of the house well, with over 40 bills to his name, he has the rich legislative experience to be Deputy Speaker. With his background as a lawyer, he will effectively chair the constitutional amendment committee. This ticket is important because we have competence, inclusivity and they will help ensure a country that works. They are very committed. Like you said earlier the success of any administration depends largely on the kind of National Assembly leadership in place. We maybe from Opposition Parties but to have a productive, stable and united 10th House of Representatives we will give President Tinubu the required support and cooperation.

“And the ruling party made the right choice in selecting Abass and Kalu as Speaker Deputy Speaker candidates. While many of their colleagues were focused on things that are probably for their personal gains, Abass and Kalu focused on their core mandate, the main objective of their coming to the national assembly. It is only appropriate that members-elect of the 10th House queue behind Tajudeen Abbas and Benjamin Kalu to deliver the good governance for the benefit of Nigerians.”

Speakership Race: consider Nigeria’s interest first, Ooni of Ife tells Abbas, Kalu

    …backs APC anointed candidates

A foremost Yoruba monarch, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has admonished the front runners in the race for the Speakership and Deputy Speakership positions of the incoming 10th House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Abbas Tajudeen and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, to always have the interest of the country at heart in the discharge if their duties as presiding officers.

Recall that the duo were endorsed by the leadership of the ruling all Progressives Congress (APC) on May 8 as the party’s preferred candidates for the position of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 10th House respectively.

Since the party’s zoning and endorsement, Hon. Abbas and Hon. Kalu have been visiting stakeholders in the country for consultative meetings and to solicit for support.

The Ife monarch who played host to the duo on Wednesday evening in Abuja after they paid him a courtesy visit enjoined Hon. Abbas and his aspiring Deputy, Kalu to always have the interest of Nigeria at heart in the course of discharging their duties.

He said: “Carry everyone along so that they will love you for who you are, not for the fact that when you get to be the Speaker, they will lobby you for positions. But they’ll love you for the great things you will do for the betterment of our dear nation.”

The monarch who reminded the Candidates of their changing positions and their attendant responsibilities noted that the country must come first in their leadership estimation

“You have become a servant from your constituency, you want to be a bigger servant to be the Speaker of the House and a much bigger servant to serve our dear nation.

“Always remember that the interest that is number one to you is the interest of our dear nation, followed by the interest of your party, for what is important is that you carry your people along,” Ooni said.

He therefore offered his royal blessings for the duo with prayers in anticipation of their success, just as he urged them to support and encourage the women among them.

“May God almighty be with you. May God almighty bless you. May God almighty honour you, guide and protect you.

“Also, give women support and encouragement, the Feminine ones, support them,” he said.

…as Abia stakeholders stage rally in support of APC’s zoning

The Deputy Speakership candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 10th Assembly, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has called on his colleagues, particularly aspirants for the speakership seat of the House to place the supremacy of the party above any other political interest.

Kalu stated this on Monday while addressing representatives of Coalition of Abia Stakeholders under the aegis of Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative who paid him a courtesy visit at the Campaign Sacretariat of the Joint Task – 10th Assembly Coalition in Abuja.

Kalu who currently chairs the 9th House of Representatives Committee on Media and Public Affairs also called on members-elect from the South East zone to rally support for the Abbas/Kalu joint ticket, saying that it is one which is anchored on the diversity and multiplicity of interest in Nigeria.

He noted that having provided the political vehicle that conveyed all winners of electoral offices to their desired destinations, the party’s position should be respected by all as a mark of honour and loyalty to the party.

“I’m a man who believes that the party’s supremacy should not be jettisoned for our political interest. The party provided the vehicle for us to get to where we are, and their decision should be binding on us. That’s the only way we are going to make our party stronger, that’s the only way we are going to make people respect our party. Because our victories came through them.”

Kalu also assured his visitors that if given the mandate to preside, the House under Hon. Abbas and himself will sustain the current tripartite approach to governance adopted by the outgoing administration, adding that the party’s decision to chose him and Abbas was based on the need for competence and maturity in understanding the objectives of the coming administration.

“So the tripartite arrangements established by this current government is going to be sustained by the incoming administration where the party will sit with the Executive and the Legislature to come up with policy directions that will help our nation grow.

“And the House through the partnership and the support I will give to my principal, who is the Speaker, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas by God’s grace, that we will be able to buy into the national objective. It’s not wearing a boxing gloves to fight the government. We should understand that this government is our government. Three arms of government with one national objective..so this is what we need if we are going to take the nation from where it is to the next level.

“I’m also happy that you are supporting the joint ticket that includes the Speakership candidate, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas. He is a thoroughbred who has the highest number of bills in the House. He will be able to give to the House the kind of maturity in management that the House needs to manage the national objective that I have been preaching about.

“So when it comes to comparative analysis between me and other members from the south East, I rank the highest with 43 bills to my name. And out of those 43 bills, about 2 to 3 of them have been assented to by Mr President. In motions also. I rank the highest in the nation in in terms of bills amongst new members, I also rank the highest in both old and new members from the South East.

“So keep spreading this message not only to people who are within your constituency. Go outside your constituency and speak to people to speak to their representatives because we may not be able to reach all at once even though we will try our best.

Kalu who assured that the 10th House will ensure the independence of the parliament whilst cooperating with the executive, noted that having all political parties represented in the Joint Task coalition was to cross fertilize ideas that represent the yearnings of Nigeria’s diversity, just as it will have at the core of its priority the national objective which includes equality and cohesion.

“”So we believe that by the time we meet together, we can push for the independence of the parliament, what I call the parliamentary independence. And one of the things that we believe in also is the balancing of inequality. This is what the Joint Task stands for. We believe that building the nation, it doesn’t take one, it takes all. So all hands must be on deck and we must look at the existing inequalities and find a way of balancing these inequalities.

“And doing that is very important because it will encourage national loyalty and cohesion in the heart of all the people from different geopolitical zones of the country which is the unity that we profess in our coat of arms which is ‘Unity, Peace and Progress’. So we want what will help us srentghten that unity so that we can progress as a nation in an atmosphere of peace. So in the spirit of section 14 of the Constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria on Character, the balancing of positions around the country was what my party considered, and not because I’m not qualified to be the speaker.

“Thank you for coming all the way from Abia State to tell me that as one of your brothers, you are backing me and it’s very important that the support is coming from home and it’s growing,” Kalu said.

Speaking earlier, the Convener of the Coalition, Mr Dike Uche told the Deputy Speakership candidate that they were at the Joint Task Secretariat to pay a courtesy visit on the outgoing House Spokesman after a citywide rally they held in support of his campaign.

“We came to do a courtesy visit as a fallout of a rally we just held in front of the National Assembly and other strategic places in Abuja. The rally was attended by over 200 groups from Abia and at the end of the rally, we now selected a representative from each of the groups to come and pay you a courtesy visit and to reemphasize our confidence in you the Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, whom we had desired that you would become the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.

“That was the position we had been canvassing then, but because the party had zeroed down its zoning and said that you will become deputy Speaker, even though it’s against our wish and which we would have insisted, but having listened to you in the media accepting the party’s decision to become the deputy Speaker, so we also now understand that between Speaker and deputy is a joint ticket.

“And we also feel that the new government that’s to be inaugurated on May 29 will not function effectively without proper representation from the South East. And that has been our position, because we all know that Nigeria is built on a tripod. And that tripod if you remove one of the legs, cannot stand on just two. Irrespective of whatever the outcome of the election was, we feel that there should be inclusiveness. And we saw in you our dear Benjamin Okezie Kalu as someone who has all the qualities to be Speaker. Because you must have the quality of a Speaker before you can even become a deputy Speaker.

“We are proud of you and we have been following your strides over the years, even the constituency projects you attracted to Bende Federal Constituency. Now we want to tell you that you are not going be just a representative from Bende Federal Constituency, but a representative of the entire South East, because you are going there to protect the interest of the South East. Both the women, the elderly and even we who are in the political class as stakeholders.
We will continue this agitation until June the 13th when we are sure that this project is actualized and that is just the first leg of it.

We will continue to press on it, we have granted interviews encouraging the new members-elect that you should be returned unopposed. You Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu should be returned unopposed as the candidate for the deputy Speakership post of the 10th Assembly,” Mr. Uche said on behalf of the coalition.
