    How gambling snatched all my money – BBNaija winner, Kellyrae spills

    BBNaija Season 9 winner, Kellyrae has opened up on his darkest moments and how he lost all his money to gambling.

    The reality TV star, while speaking with Chude Jideonwo, shared some personal struggles he experienced with his wife, Kassia before the entering the reality show and how she stood by him.

    He disclosed that he had lost all his money to betting, which plunged him into depression and overwhelming guilt.

    He also added that he at some point, considered breaking up with her because of how broke he was, but she resisted and came to his rescue.

    He said: “I had some money, but because I wanted more, the money was not enough; I started gambling with it and then lost it all. I was depressed. Every night, I was awake, thinking. Then she was the one who came to my rescue.

    “I was thinking one day; I called her and said, let’s just break up. I feel I don’t have what it takes to really care for you because I feel guilty most of the time that there are things I’m supposed to be doing.”

    He also discussed his time in the BBNaija house, admitting that he kept his marriage a secret but remained true to himself throughout the show.

    “Even if you lie on your bed for the rest of your life, trouble will still come. I think I prefer the trouble that comes with ₦60 million. The only thing I had to fake was that I was in the house with my wife; every other thing, I was just being myself,” he added.

    Big Brother Naija, ‘No Loose Guard’ winner, Kellyrae has said those still insisting that he does not merit the ₦100 million grand prize of the reality TV show are dull.

    TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that some BBNaija housemates and fans, including Shaun, have claimed that Kellyrae did not offer much on the show and, as such, does not deserve to win.

    In response, Kellyrae, during an interview with his colleague, Adekunle Olopade, on his YouTube podcast emphasised that being on bad terms with someone is not a valid reason to discredit them.

    He noted that Onyeka is not on good terms with his wife, Kassia, but he still acknowledges her talent.

    The reality TV star maintained that critics faulting his win are not wise.

    He said, “Even though Onyeka is not on good terms with my wife, she is a very talented person. Because we are not on good terms, it doesn’t me I should discredit her.

    “So, I don’t know what some of my colleagues saw in me in the house that made them feel that they were more worthier of the prize money than my wife and I. It means you are actually a dull person. You are not wise.”

    Big Brother Naija, ‘No Loose Guard’ winner, Kellyrae, has lamented bitterly over the numerous requests for financial assistance from family and friends since emerging as the winner of the reality show.

    During a recent interview with media personality Hero Daniel, the reality star disclosed that he has been receiving requests for financial assistance nonstop since he revealed that he gave his wife Kassia over fifty million from the prize money. 

    Pleading, the reality star ask those begging him for financial favours to allow him to settle.

    He said, “I was receiving calls people close to us after I said I gave Kassia N55 million and they were asking for their own share of my prize money.” 

    “I will like to say to everyone, I’m not a rich man yet please. The money is big but things are expensive. Even if it’s egg I want to buy, how many crates of eggs will I buy? Please allow a brother to settle.”

    TheNewsGuru(TNG) recalls that KellyRae was announced as the winner by the show’s host, Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, at grand finale on Sunday night.

    He also walked home with a cash prize of N60 million and a brand-new sports utility vehicle.

    Big Brother Naija, ‘No Loose Guard’ winner, Kellyrae on Monday received his winning prize from the organisers of the reality TV show.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reported that Kellyrae emerged the winner of the 2024 edition on Sunday, outshining fellow finalists, Wanni, Victoria, Onyeka, Ozee, Sooj, Nelly, and Anita.

    TNG recalls KellyRae was announced as the winner by the show’s host, Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, at grand finale on Sunday night.

    The finale was a star-studded affair, featuring performances from popular artistes like Joseph Akinfewa-Donus, aka Joeboy, and Qing Madi.

    The event also offered viewers a nostalgic look back at some of the highlight from the housemates’ journey throughout the season.

    The show organisers presented Kellyrea with a brand-new sports utility vehicle.

    Delta-born Kingsley Sule, better known as KellyRae has won the Big Brother Naija’ No Loose Guard’ edition after beating his closest rival, Wanni.

    KellyRae was announced as the winner by the show’s host, Ebuka Uchendu, at grand finale on Sunday night.

    Before the winner was announced, Sooj was the first housemate to be evicted, followed by Anita, Ozee, Nelly, Victoria and Onyeka, leaving Kelly Rae and Wanni to battle for the N100 million grand prizes after spending 71 days in the house.

    Kellyrae proved he’s a strategic genius after entering Big Brother Naija with his new wife, Kassia, and keeping it a secret.

    The 33-year-old professional singer’s strong personality enabled him to build a massive fanbase from viewers.

    He was also the first housemate to secure a position in the finale when he emerged as the Head of the House in the ninth week, making it to the top six finalists, including Wanni, Onyeka, Victoria, Nelly and Ozee.

    The strategy of the 33-year-old Delta State native, who began the show with his legally married wife as part of the Double K pair, paid off, and it did come to many as a surprise that he eventually emerged winner of the show.

    Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9 housemate, Kassia has opened up on the highs and lows of being in the BBNaija house as a married woman.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Kassia is wife to Kellyrae, who are both participating in the 2024 edition of the BBNaija reality TV show as Doublekay.

    The Doublekay duo hiding the fact that they are married left fellow housemate, Toby Forge hitting at Kassia.

    During her diary session on Wednesday, Kassia owned up that though Toby Forge has been making efforts to forge a strong bond with her, she won’t allow that to happen.

    “The low for me is the fact that I am not able to really express myself to him [her husband, Kellyrae]. The high is that it has been fun for us. I am really enjoying myself and Kelly is really making me enjoy my stay as well.

    “The past few weeks; he has been the one taking care of me. I have not been doing my wifey duties. He has been the one taking care of me and that is amazing. This whole bestie thing is really not easy for me because sometimes I just want to jump on him,” Kassia said.

    She also disclosed that after the last task in the house, she felt a strong desire to express her feelings towards Kellyrae but was afraid that doing so might reveal to the housemates that they are actually married.

    Speaking on if her husband, Kellyrae has changed towards her, Kassia said: “There is nothing new about him. He is still the same person. I think the first week, he was calm than usual but I understand it is about what happened when we were entering the house. He is getting back to who he is”.

    Recall that Kassia had earlier visited the Big Brother kitchen to inquire about Toby Forge, referring to him as her ship.

    When she asked, “Where is my ship?”, immediately, Kellyrae, who happened to be present in the kitchen at the time, answered her, revealing that her ship, Toby Forge, gears a lot.

    For the entanglement between her and Toby Forge, she said: “Toby Forge is my friend. I know he likes me. He suspects that me and Kelly are not just besties.

    “He told me that when we leave the house and he finds out that we are in a relationship, he will never talk to me again. I really wish I could tell him, but I can’t. Toby is trying to forge a strong bond with me, but I won’t let that happen”.

    During his own diary session, Kellyrae confirmed the relationship between his wife, Kassia, and fellow housemate, Toby Forge with Biggie.

    When Big Brother asked Kellyrae about Toby Forge, in response, he said: “He is my wife’s new ship”.
