On his Twitter handle, Fabrizio Romano wrote, “Kepa to Real Madrid, here we go! Loan deal verbally agreed between Real and Chelsea, no obligation/permanent move for Spanish GK.

“Kepa immediately said yes to Real after talks with Bayern over the last 3/4 days.

“He already said goodbye, ready to travel.”

EPL: Why I dropped Kepa for Mendy – Lampard

Chelsea’s interim Manager, Frank Lampard has offered an explanation as to why he dropped first-choice goalie, Kepa Arizabalaga in the the English Premier League EPL game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon at Stamford Bridge.

Kepa who was at some points relegated to second choice became the anointed goalie for the Blues and has played most games for Chelsea this season.

Kepa was in goal last weekend as Chelsea defeated Bournemouth 3-1.

However, Edouard Mendy, who had not played a competitive match since Senegal’s World Cup defeat to England last December, made a rare start, which was thoroughly merited as a consequence of his performances in training, according to Lampard.

Speaking before the kick-off, Lampard said: “It is an opportunity that I think for his [Mendy’s] part is well deserved from how he is training.

“It is certainly not an issue with Kepa [Arrizabalaga] but for Edou [Edouard Mendy], it is good for him to play a game for us. He is a top goalkeeper, so that is the decision.”

Awoniyi scored a brace same as Raheem Sterling as both Nottigham and Chelsea played out a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are expected to make announcement of a new coach at the end of the season.

Former Chelsea player, Joe Cole knocks Kepa after 2-0 loss to Real Madrid

Former Chelsea midfielder, Joe Cole has knocked goalie, Kepa Arrizabalaga, saying that he should justify the huge pay he’s being paid at Stamford Bridge.

Karim Benzema and Marco Ascensio scored for the Galaticos to give them a massive two-goal advantage ahead of the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge,.

Chelsea played with 10 men from the 59th minute of the game after Ben Chilwell was sent off. The Blues have failed to score a goal in their last four matches.

But Cole is much more worried over goalkeeper Arrizabalaga.

Cole told BT Sport: “I think Chelsea want to get around Kepa, whereas a top goalkeeper – like what we see with Thibaut Courtois [Real Madrid goalkeeper] – in those moments [claims the ball], that’s what you pay the big money for.

“For me, when you’re defending a set-piece, especially in those situations, your goalkeeper [is vital] alongside the centre-halves. You’re down to 10 men at the Bernabeu, Thiago Silva is 38, he’s on his knees.

“That’s when you need Kepa to go, ‘Right, you go there, you go there, you go there, we’ll deal with that and we’ll get in at 1-0!’

“But there was none of that.”

EPL: Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa set to leave Stamford Bridge

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has revealed that second choice goal keeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The German tactician further explained that the Spanish goalkeeper is ‘not happy’ with his role at the west London club and ‘deserves to play more’.

Kepa was acquired from Spanish giant Athletic Bilbao in 2018 for a record fee of 72 Million pounds.

The 24 year-old goalie went down the pecking order when Chelsea acquired Athletic Bilbao who instanly became Chelsea’s number 1

Asked about Arrizabalaga’s future during his last pre-match press conference of the season Tuchel said: “It depends what he wants and it depends what his plans are, but I know that we are very privileged to have Edou [Mendy] and Kepa in our squad.

“I know for sure that Kepa is not happy about the situation and he deserves to play more and he can be a strong number one.

“He arrived as a number one goalkeeper so the situation is not easy. I can tell you that he has been a fantastic team player since day one and always was and never let anybody down,” he added.

Having admitted that the Spain International is unhappy at Stamford Bridge, Tuchel said he hopes to talk to the 23-year-old to find a way to convince to stay longer at the club.

However, despite speculations linking the Spanish goalkeeper out of Stamford, Tuchel said he would like to have both strong goalkeepers, Mendy and Kepa at Chelsea next season, adding “Let’s see.”
