  • Rivers polls: Opposition parties laud INEC, as PDP kicks

Opposition parties in Rivers have lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for suspending the electoral process in the state.

The Governorship Candidates of the parties, incuding Action Democratic Congress (ADC), Labour Party (LP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) made the commendation on Tuesday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Port Harcourt.

The candidates also called on INEC to cancel the governorship election entirely and order a fresh election in the state.

Mr Victor Fingesi of the ADC described the suspension of the process as a welcome development.

Fingesi alleged that the March 9 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in the state was marred by violence and irregularities.

He further alleged that many thugs, allegedly dressed in military uniforms, were engaged to disrupt the process.

He called on the major political stakeholders in Rivers to come to a roundtable to discuss the way out of the current logjam in the state.

Similarly, Mr Isaac Wowon of the LP condemned the brazen show of desperation for power by some politicians.

Wowon called on Nigerians to resist impunity and lawlessness in the electoral process.

Also, Mr Precious Elekima of the SDP called on INEC to declare him winner of the March 9 governorship election.

Elekima claimed that he polled the highest number of votes cast during the election, judging by the results so far collated.

He further called for a summit where politicians and prominent Rivers people would sit to take a stand on how to resolve issues of governance in the state.

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected the suspension of all electoral processes in the Saturday’s governorship and House of Assembly elections in the state by INEC.

The party in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, called on INEC to immediately declare the result of the state governorship election.

INEC on Sunday announced the suspension of all electoral processes in Rivers until further notice.

The suspension, according to the statement, issued in Abuja by Mr Festus Okoye, INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education, was due to widespread violence and disruptions that characterised the state’s elections.

Ologbondiyan said that the PDP rejected INEC decision to suspend the electoral process, after results had been collated.

He described the suspension as a premeditated plan by the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government to change the wishes of Rivers people as shown in the polling units.

“Our party contends that elections have been concluded in Rivers state; results of the Governorship and House of Assembly polls have been declared at the various polling units, wards and local government collation centers and all returning officers and political parties in the ballot conclusively have the figures.

“It is therefore directly incumbent on INEC to declare the final results instead of deliberately creating openings for the subversion of the final process; a development, which exposes the commission’s complicity with the Presidency and the APC to enmesh the election into unnecessary crisis.

“Our party cautions INEC to note that a lot of innocent Nigerians have already been killed by the APC in its desperation to forcefully take over Rivers state.

“The commission should therefore save the state from more bloodletting by immediately declaring the results.”

Ologbondiyan called on President Muhammadu Buhari to reflect on the bloodletting that characterised the election and call the military to order.

“Mr President should immediately call the security agencies to end their siege to our electoral process. Any further delay is a recipe for escalation of crisis in our nation.”

Ologbondiyan added that many Nigerians believed that the violence would have been averted if the Amendment to the Electoral Act was signed.

  • Security squad tampered with Atiku’s private documents, PDP alleges

The special security squad that conducted a thorough security check on Atiku Abubakar upon his return from Dubai tampered with his private documents, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged.

TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of the party in a statement described the security squad as deadly, and said they “violently tampered with certain personal documents and gadgets belonging to him, including some of his campaign documents”.

The PDP presidential candidate in the 2019 elections returned to Nigeria in a private jet on Sunday at about 1:30 am after an over two weeks vacation trip to Dubai.

Arriving at the airport in Abuja, a special security squad comprised of the Army, Police, Custom and Immigration officers carried out a thorough security check on the former Vice President and his aircraft.

The PDP statement read: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) condemns in the strongest terms the unleashing of a special security squad of army, police and paramilitary agencies by the Muhammadu Buhari Presidency to physically harass our Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, at the Abuja airport, upon his return from Dubai.

“It was shocking when the deadly squad, in a Gestapo style attack, and acting on ‘orders from above’ rushed our candidate immediately he landed and attempted to physically manhandle him before invading his aircraft with dangerous weapons to conduct a violent search.

“While they did not find anything incriminating on our Presidential candidate, this deadly squad, violently tampered with certain personal documents and gadgets belonging to him, including some of his campaign documents.

“The PDP completely rejects such violence against the person of our Presidential candidate by the Buhari Presidency, which we know has been jittery over Atiku Abubakar’s soaring popularity since his emergence as our candidate.

“We invite the world to note that having failed to drag down our Presidential candidate with spurious allegations and smear campaign, the APC has now resorted to state-backed violence against him and must be held responsible should any harm befall him or any member of his campaign team.

“The PDP is for peace, but we will not accept this recourse to violence, which we believe is orchestrated to directly harm our Presidential candidate, foist a siege mentality on the system and set the stage for series of coordinated violence, ostensibly to truncate a peaceful conduct of the 2019 general election.

“The Buhari Presidency and the APC should bear in mind that this is an attack on our democracy and the collective sensibility of the overwhelming majority of Nigerians, across board, who have accepted the choice of Atiku Abubakar as Nigeria’s next President and they will vigorously deploy every means available in a democracy to defend him and our democratic process.

“Today, Atiku Abubakar, as a Presidential candidate, has the highest demography of supporters and volunteers across our nation and we will not hesitate to call them out in defence of democracy if another such attempt is made against our candidate.

“Nigeria is not a conquered territory and anybody that wants to foist a totalitarian regime on our land will be firmly resisted

“We invite President Buhari to recall that as a Presidential candidate, he had occasions to travel out of the country and the government in power never besieged or harassed him in any way. His administration should therefore not introduce such violence in our democratic space.

“Finally, the PDP counsels the APC and the Buhari Presidency to know that power belongs to God and that the time has come for Nigerians to choose a new President, for which they have collectively rallied around Atiku Abubakar and that their resort to violence, smear campaign, character assassination and rigging will not change this resolve”.

  • PDP urges NIA, DSS, Interpol to track down ‘on-the-run’ Oshiomhole

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and INTERPOL to track down “National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, believed to be on the run outside the country since his reported interrogation by the Department of State Services (DSS) over alleged corruption charges”.

TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement said, “Oshiomhole’s swift flight out of the country, at the heat of the investigation, is suspect and goes to confirm allegations that the Muhammadu Buhari Presidency is shielding him from prosecution for fear that his investigation would implicate certain interests at the Presidency and the APC”.

“It is ludicrous that the APC, in its lying proclivities, believes that by dismissing Oshiomhole’s arrest as a rumour and aiding him to momentarily flee the country, it would succeed in getting him off the DSS hook as well as sweeping the matter out of public discourse with its famished broom.

“No! Nigerians are already aware that Oshiomhole has not denied his investigation including his reported confession that the Presidency was in the loop of all his actions.

“The PDP had always cautioned Adams Oshiomhole of his unbridled arrogance, lust for power and alleged embezzlement of public funds for which he must surely have his day in the hands of the law.

“The PDP therefore demands that APC and the Buhari Presidency must immediately produce Adams Oshiomhole to face investigation and prosecution in our courts,” Ologbondiyan stated.

  • Atiku to jail looters in Buhari’s administration, fight system-wide corruption

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will open a system-wide fight against corruption as soon as he is elected into office.
TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports this is contained in a Sunday statement signed by Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of the party.
According to the statement, “all those looting the national treasury, including those now enjoying President Buhari’s official cover, will definitely face the wrath of the law and go to jail”.
The full statement reads: “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says its Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is set to revamp our nation’s economy through the creation of qualitative employment for the youths.
“The party says its candidate will also implement the political and economic restructuring of our nation in a manner that will engender unity, inclusiveness in governance and upliftment in the general standard of living for all our people.
“PDP maintains that on election into office, its presidential candidate will immediately commence the marketing of Nigeria to the international business community, as well as providing a clement environment for businesses to thrive in our nation.
“Atiku will open a system-wide fight against corruption as soon as he is elected into office by strengthening the institutions empowered by our laws to do their jobs, while he concentrates on the onerous duty of governance and rescuing our people from hunger, starvation, bloodlettings and wanton killings.
“The rebranded PDP assures that all those looting the national treasury, including those now enjoying President Buhari’s official cover, will definitely face the wrath of the law and go to jail, because the Atiku Abubakar administration will not only fight poverty but will also uncompromisingly fight corruption.
“The party noted that a combination of Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Peter Obi, known internationally for their forthrightness, hardwork, ingenuity and managerial competencies, guarantees a prudent and result-oriented administration that will liberate our nation from the economic shackles that President Buhari’s wasteful, notoriously incompetent, and deceptive administration has plunged us into.
“Atiku Abubakar comes with the Nigerian resilient entrepreneurial spirit to once again open up our economy, attract investments, create jobs and unite our citizenry for a more productive nation.
“Already, our candidate, as a successful entrepreneur, has perfected an economic template that will reduce the cost of governance, plug wastages, tackle corruption, free our national resources currently being squandered by the Buhari administration and channel them for the welfare of the people.
“What Nigerians earnestly desire now is a resourceful President, not an incompetent leader who lacks the capacity to run a complex economy; who stays aloof and completely insensitive to the plights of citizens, while providing official cover for his officials to fritter away trillions of naira from our beleaguered national treasury.
“Our youths are earnestly seeking for an in-charge President, not one who rules by proxy. They look forward to a President who will give hope in the face of a consuming despair and one, whose words resonate with their aspirations in life.
“Nigerians seek a President who will not watch helplessly while marauders and insurgents kill our brothers and sisters in their numbers; whose only achievement is plunging our nation into economic recession, collecting foreign loans and accumulating debts with nothing to show.
“PDP holds that President Buhari has failed on all fronts. He has failed on the economy, on security and on the fight against corruption.
“This 2019 election is therefore, a direct referendum on these failures and the determination of Nigerians to choose a new leader who will rescue our nation from the throes of hunger and starvation.
“The 2019 election will never be about character assassination or mouthing some worn-out sloganeerings about corruption but will be about a demonstrable capacity to deliver on the mandate.
“The Buhari Presidency by now knows that Nigerians are not buying their smear campaign against Atiku Abubakar as Nigerians have seen that all the Buhari Presidency had done in its almost four year term is paying lip service to fighting corruption while its members swim in an ocean of corruption.
“Instead of this unnecessary fixation on our candidate, the PDP challenges President Buhari to step out and give account of his failed stewardship; how he ran down a once robust economy in a space of three years; why he is running a corrupt administration; why his administration failed to protect our slain compatriots and how trillions of naira are stolen under the cover of his Presidency.
“Finally, the PDP forewarns all looters in the Buhari Presidency, including those involved in the alleged stealing of over N14 trillion from several sleazy oil deals; the alleged undisclosed oil revenue leading to the deadlock at the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC); alleged stealing of funds meant for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) among other sleazes covered by the Buhari Presidency, to get ready to vomit their loots and face the law in no distant time”.

  • PDP strategizes on ‘rigging elections’ head to head with APC

PDP strategizes on ‘rigging elections’ head to head with APC

The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) said it will henceforth contend with the All Progressives Congress (APC) head to head, means to means, scheme to scheme, shenanigan for shenanigan, in all ramifications and magnitude in ‘rigging elections’.

TheNewsGuru reports the PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan made this known on Tuesday in a statement, while also stressing that beginning with the Osun State governorship election next month, the party will vehemently dismantle all APC rigging machinery.

The PDP said it has thoroughly reviewed all infractions, barefaced suppression, unleashing of violence and unabashed use of security forces and compromised electoral officers to rig elections against it since the assumption of office of President Muhammadu Buhari and vowed to never again allow the APC and the Federal Government to continue to use foul means to usurp power as it has done in the past and merely ask the PDP to go to court.

“The PDP has particularly reviewed the rigging of Edo state governorship election in 2016, the blatant rigging of the July 14, 2018 Ekiti state governorship election and the last Saturday’s federal constituency bye-elections in Bauchi, Katsina and Kogi states.

“The review shows that the PDP won in all the elections but was viciously manipulated out by the APC- controlled Federal Government through the instrumentality of violence against PDP agents and supporters, vote buying, use of thugs, ballot snatching, harassment, arrests, maiming and even killing of PDP supporters in addition to use of compromised electoral officers to cancel votes belonging to the PDP, alter results from polling centers and then return APC candidates as winners.

“Henceforth, we will vehemently dismantle all APC rigging machinery in future elections, beginning with the Osun governorship election next month.

“Now that it has become manifest to Nigerians and all parties that the APC is only interested in rigging elections brazenly, we will henceforth contend with APC, head to head, means to means, scheme to scheme, shenanigan for shenanigan, in all ramifications and magnitude, to discomfit them in all coming elections in the country.” the PDP statement read.

The statement further read: “We take very strong consideration of the open boasts and chest-thumping on the use of thugs by officials of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s presidency and the APC, particularly on their rigging of the Ekiti governorship and the federal bye-elections in Bauchi, Katsina and Kogi states, where APC thugs were allowed to freely use weapons against PDP supporters.

“This is in addition to the unholy convergence of APC governors and security goons in constituencies where elections are held to supervise the free distribution of funds to buy votes, bribe electoral officers and openly intimidate the people.

“The PDP therefore resolves that in as much as it remains a law abiding political party, conducting its affairs strictly within the ambit of our nation’s electoral laws; the party will henceforth directly and physically confront and resist the desperate and greedy power grabbers from always having a field day in seizing our democratic institutions and circumventing the rules during elections.

“Consequently, the PDP directs all its state governors, officials at state and zonal chapters, national and state assembly members and all other elected leaders at all levels to get ready to move into Osun state and provide all support necessary and germane in all the nooks and crannies of Osun state in the forthcoming election.

“Similarly, the PDP directs all its presidential aspirants to move all their political machinery into Osun State within this period, as well as get prepared to physically participate in the election process.

“Our insistence as a party is for a level playing ground, a free, fair and credible electoral process, where all votes will count just as our party provided for General Buhari in 2015, that enabled him to be elected as president.

“However, we will not accept our respect for democratic tenets to be taken as a mark of cowardice or weakness”.

  • You can’t remove Saraki, Ekweremadu – PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the All Progressives Congress (APC) lacks the legislative number and constitutional facilities to remove Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan on Friday in Abuja, the party advised the Presidency and the APC to “accept the reality’’.

It said that Presidency and the APC, having realized that there was no way they could muster the constitutionally required two-third votes of the 109 senators, representing 73 senators, was now engaged in under-hand tactics.

These, according to it, include the invasion of the National Assembly.

“Even before then, Nigerians were already aware of moves to use humongous funds to induce lawmakers to trigger crisis in the National Assembly and
pave the way for the removal of presiding officers.

“Now that they have discovered that there is no way they can achieve their devious intentions, they have commenced a war of blackmail,
distortions of fact and media trial against the Senate leadership.”

It said that the attempts would end up as another wasteful venture as Nigerians were aware of the long-drawn desperation to annex the legislature.

The PDP added that even among the ranks of APC senators and members of House of Representatives, there is huge aversion to the tactics being deployed to force out duly elected presiding officers of the assembly.

It said that such lawmakers were fully aligned with Nigerians, the PDP and the national assembly leadership in the protection of the independence, sanctity and integrity of the parliament and all democratic institutions in the country.

“It is therefore instructive for both the Presidency and the APC
to know that there is no way they can remove the leadership of the
    National Assembly, particularly the Senate.”

It cautioned against over-heating the polity and attempts to circumvent rules and the Constitution, saying that such would not change the resolve of Nigerians to vote out APC in 2019.

  • PDP highlights pitfalls of Buhari’s administration

PDP highlights pitfalls of Buhari’s administration

Opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has highlighted some pitfalls of the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

TheNewsGuru reports National Publicity Secretary of the opposition party, Kola Ologbondiyan gave the highlights on Friday.

He highlighted the shortcomings of the administration to include political intolerance, complaints, and harassments.

Other pitfalls Kola listed include intimidation, corruption, certificate forgery, blame games and dodging responsibility.

“Presidents elected on the platform of PDP established EFCC, ICPC, YouWin,TSA, etc….

“While the president elected on the platform of APC established nothing and introduced political intolerance, complaints, harassments, intimidation, corruption, certificate forgery, blame games, dodging responsibility,” Kola stated.

  • PDP rejects Ekiti governorship election results

PDP rejects Ekiti governorship election results

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has rejected Saturday’s Ekiti State governorship election results as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC had declared Dr Kayode Fayemi, a former Minister of Mines and Steel Development and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), winner of the election with 197,459 votes.

According to the result declared by Prof. Idowu Olayinka, the Chief Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor, University of Ibadan, the PDP candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola, came second with 178,121 votes.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, at a news conference on Sunday in Abuja, described the election result as “a daylight robbery”.

“The PDP rejects in its entirety the results concocted by the APC, and security agencies, in the governorship election in Ekiti State and declared by INEC.

He said the PDP was already collating all infractions in the election and would make its next steps public soon in order to reclaim its “stolen mandate”.

“The party rejects the falsified results and declaration of APC candidate, Dr Fayemi, to be the winner of the election, as a daylight robbery, a brazen subversion of the will of the people and direct assault on our democracy.

“From the authentic results flowing directly from the polling centres across the state, it is clear that the PDP candidate, Prof. Olusola-Eleka, incontrovertibly won the election, with very comfortable margin over the APC candidate, only for INEC to allow the alteration of results at the collation centres.

“Painfully, the people of Ekiti State were pillaged; openly brutalized; confronted with the worst form of cruelty and intimidation from security agencies, and their mandate, which they freely gave to the PDP, was snatched at ‘gun point’ by enemies of democracy, who are parading themselves as icons of anti-corruption.

“Nigerians are witnesses to all manipulations by the APC, aided by security agencies and compromised INEC officials, to rig the election, particularly, the audacious alteration and substitution of election results in favour of the APC at the collation centres amidst the brutalization of our agents.”

Ologbondiyan said that the PDP had the details of all the polling units where it won, mostly with very wide margin ahead of the APC.

He alleged that security agencies chased away PDP agents, “then aided the alteration and swapping of such results with those smuggled in by the APC at the collation centres.

“We have the details of the discrepancies between the authentic results from the polling units and the false figures eventually announced by INEC.”

Ologbondiyan said that the party also had details of how APC state governors and federal ministers diverted huge sums of money from their states and ministries to bribe INEC top officials.

He also alleged that the APC bribed security agencies to perfect the brigandage against the people of Ekiti State.

“The PDP holds strongly that there is no way our democracy can survive with an electoral process as witnessed in Ekiti State under President Muhammadu Buhari and the current INEC leadership.

“This bare-faced subversion of the will of the people is a clear recipe for crisis.”

He further described the alleged robbery of the franchise of Ekiti people as “a horrible rape of Nigerian democracy”.

“Finally, let it be known to all that surely, this electoral banditry will not stand.”

When asked of the party’s view on Fayose’s alleged declaration of election result on radio before INEC, Ologbondiyan said the party would investigate what led to that.

  • 2019: APC suffering from pre-defeat trauma

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says the All Progressive Congress (APC) is on the throes of death and that its panic-stricken leadership has resorted to fabrications and cheap blackmail against those leaving their sinking ship in droves.

Already suffering from pre-defeat trauma ahead of the 2019 elections, the now shattered APC has become intensely nervous and chaotic over the soaring popularity of the PDP as well as the surge of Nigerians, across board, into our fold as a repositioned and rebranded party.

We are therefore not surprised that the APC, out of frustration, has recourse to sponsoring of spurious publications filled with deceptions, fabrications and lies against the PDP.

The APC is particularly unsettled by the huge successes recorded by the Liyel Imoke-led PDP Contact and Integration Committee, in seamlessly galvanizing alliances among stakeholders across other parties, including those returning from the overtly dysfunctional and derelict APC.

The APC is further disconcerted by the spirit of accommodation, agreement and oneness of purpose that pervade the alliances among old, new and returning members of the PDP in our key structure across all the states of the federation, particularly in Sokoto, Kogi, Kwara and Kano states, where all new and retuning members have been accorded very warm reception.

We know that the APC will stop at nothing in its sneaky efforts to cause confusion among our members, including suggesting that there are disagreements where none exists.

What the APC, in its depravity and desperation, has failed to note is that the PDP had, since its repositioning, made adequate arrangements, ahead of time, to accommodate all interests and alignments in this collective quest to rescue our nation from the misrule of President Muhammadu Buhari, come 2019.

The APC should come to terms with the fact that as the name of our great party connotes, the rebranded and repositioned PDP remains a party of all Nigerians and will continue to provide equal opportunity for all Nigerians to freely aspire, even for the highest position in the land, irrespective of creed, tribe or even previous party affiliations.

We advice the APC leaders to further accept the fact that their party is now beleaguered with a demystified and unpopular presidential candidate and an unelected National Chairman who is overburdened by corruption allegations and as such can no longer produce a President that will be acceptable to majority of Nigerians.

We therefore charge Nigerians to continue in their rally with the PDP as the epicenter of a new broad-based political engagement to rescue the nation and return her to the path of peace, unity and economic prosperity, come 2019.

  • PDP talks of engineering single digit lending, boosting local content [Full statement]

PDP talks of engineering single digit lending, boosting local content [Full statement]

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says its blueprint for economic recovery includes pursuing deliberate policies that will guarantee single-digit commercial lending rate across all productive sectors, immediately it is re-elected into office in 2019.

The party says its economic blueprint will make a turnaround of the prevailing double digit permitted by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, who stated this when a delegation from a coalition of small and medium enterprise owners paid him a visit in his office in Abuja, at the weekend, also disclosed that the party plans to push policies that engender increased local content in all critical sectors.

The party’s spokesman said this initiative is targeted at providing the much needed interventions in key sectors including power, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, real estate, transport, solid mineral mining, oil and gas, education, retailing, among others, without which the economy cannot rebound.

According to Ologbondiyan, there is no way economic activities can rebound unless we put our people back to work. Over 20 million Nigerians have been put out of work by the APC and many more are underemployed. Families are under stress and citizens have been subjected to abject poverty by the Buhari administration.

Our recovery plan involves a concerted effort to reopen the market and encourage economic environment that will grant our investors and entrepreneurs affordable credit facilities to favourably compete and thrive.

Our blueprint includes the formulation and implementation of policies that will guarantee single digit commercial lending rates as well as increased local content in all critical sectors. These will be targeted at boosting economic activities, revamping our industries and reopening the space for massive investment and employment opportunities for millions of Nigerians across all sectors.

“This will involve an immediate review of all tight monetary policies of the APC, including obnoxious foreign exchange and import regulations, multiple taxation, exorbitant tariffs on essential services, particularly in power and communication, as well as other unnecessary economic bottlenecks that are currently stifling small scale entrepreneurship, industrial activities and general economic growth.

Unlike the APC’s exclusionist style, the PDP will run an all-inclusive economic system that guarantees an open market operation and return a people-focused pricing regime. This was part of the policy thrust with which the PDP grew our economy to become one of the fastest growing in the world before the unfortunate incursion of the APC.

Come 2019, the PDP will revamp our economy and put our citizens back to the path of prosperity”, he said.

Speaking, leader of the delegation, Engr. Tosin Olaoye, commended the PDP for its rebuilding effort adding that Nigerians are eager for the return of the party to governance in 2019.

He said Nigeria as a nation fared better under the PDP due to its economic initiatives and people-oriented policies, all of which, he emphasized, are lacking under the APC.

Engr. Olaoye said the APC has shown that it has no capacity and competence to run an economy as resilient as Nigerian but thrives on false promises, deceit and propaganda, which has brought the nation to its knees in the last three years.

Office of the National Publicity Secretary, PDP
