S3X SCANDAL: 10yrs girl of Chrisland Schools apologizes to public, netizens

The 10-year-old girl of Chrisland Schools, whose erotic video with a male colleague during a trip to Dubai, that surfaced online recently, has apologized to the public and netizens.

In her post on Sunday, on Likee App, she stated: “I made a mistake, now I’m living with the consequences. I regret it, I really do. And I’m sorry.”

The pupil informed her followers on Likee that she would be going off from social media platform soon, to enable her fully recover from “this m*s”.

According to her posts: “We should not regret mistakes, we must learn from them.

“Don’t let your past dictate who you are, but let it be a lesson that strenghtens the person you’ll become.”

Recall that pupils from the private school were in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), to participate in the World School Games between March 10 and 13, 2022.

Also, the mother of the pupil had come online to seek the help of Nigerians as she alleged that a pregnancy test was conducted on her daughter.

She said she was not aware of what happened in Dubai till another parent showed her the video of the incident.

However, in a statement released by Akin Fadeyi, a member of the Advisory board of the school, the school authorities denied claims that it conducted a pregnancy test on the girl.

According to the school, only a COVID-19 test was conducted on all the students who embarked on the trip to Dubai.

The school also said out of the 77 students who represented the school at the event, only six were involved in the misconduct.

It said they were involved in a Truth or Dare game which led to the condemnable act.

Also, reacting to allegations of negligence on their part, the school said while in Dubai, it ensured the students were kept in separate rooms, seven floors apart.

It said boys were on the 4th floor of the hotel while the girls were lodged on the 11th floor.

The school said none of the students on its watch was raped.

It mentioned some centres where the COVID-19 tests were carried out on the students and asked people to confirm their claims.

The statement reads: “We have followed up on reports making the rounds on certain developments bordering on the morals and ethics of some of the students under our care, who represented the school at the World School games, Dubai between 8 and 14 of March 2022.

“While we understand the emotions this has generated, we assure the public that our first approach as an institution was to assume parental roles by offering support to those involved and ensuring that nothing affected their senses of esteem.

“However, after a comprehensive evaluation of the situation, we cannot help but express how scandalised and distressed we feel as mothers, fathers and instructors with a relationship that holds a direct bearing on the development of those involved.

“Nonetheless, we took a critical view of the number of students who partook in this recent trip and who did the school proud in our quest to expand the horizons of our students holistically through global exposure, which takes into account a wholesome development of the mind, body and spirit through sporting engagements.

“Of the 76 children who represented Chrisland, 71 ensured adherence to our standards, abiding with laid down regulations and code of conduct, while doing us very proud in the process. Within these 71, we kept our girls on the 11th floor and boys on the 4th floor to draw clear lines that respect moral boundaries.

“We were, however, compelled to engage with the parents of the remaining students who unfortunately got themselves involved in misconduct, and in accordance with our code of conduct processes, which are well known to the parents, we meted out measured reprimands to them to instil a sense of discipline and as deterrence to others. This was also to caution our students on the need to remain on the path of resisting wrong influences.

“We are proud to reassure our stakeholders that no rape of anyone or the administration of a pregnancy test on any child took place on our watch.

”For emphasis, only a COVID post-travel test was conducted on the returning delegation of our students, in compliance with COVID-19 travel protocols, at the Life Centre Medical Services on March 21, 2022, at School Hall, Opebi.

”This was through the nose swab test as consistent with COVID-19 health protocols. We trust that this can be verified at the source provided. To insinuate that a pregnancy test was carried out on a student, for whatever reason, therefore, is a highly unfortunate conjecture.

“Nevertheless, our processes would be readily opened up for the scrutiny of regulators and stakeholders at the earliest indication of this, to enable the course of scientific or forensic inspections. We are certain this will lay to rest any shred of doubt or hazy optic that the present flurry of activities might have occasioned.”

She asserted that some students circulated a video of the female student committing the sexual act with her male colleagues.

Wizkid’s babymama explained that she heard of the issue first from her son, Boluwatife Balogun.

Reacting to a claim by the mother of the victims that her daughter was raped, she said: “It took me a lot of thinking before dropping this comment. The way we just throw the word ‘RAPE’ around so loosely without considering how much damage it can cause.

“Firstly, as parents we need to pay close attention to our kids and what we expose them too, cos mahn it’s a crazy crazy world we live in.

“Secondly, I accompanied my son to represent his school at the just concluded WSG and I can say for a fact that the 10 yr old in question was DEFINITELY not raped,” she said.

On her expression hearing about the issue from her son, Shola Ogudu stated, “I remember vividly the ‘SHOCK’ in my son’s face when he was telling me about a video some other kid was watching, he said Mum, I couldn’t stand the video I had to excuse myself, he said the gist circulating was that the girl and her click played a game of truth or dare, of which this particular girl couldn’t stop with the mind bugging’ DARES’ I couldn’t believe my ears when I learned about the nasty activities this lil kids get themselves involved in.

“To make matters worse, even when she was accosted about the video, she was owing it with her full chest, saying yeah it’s me in the video and so.”

Adding to her points, Wizkid’s baby mama emphasized on how troubling the case is.

In her words, “It bothered me so much, I needed to see this kids I question so I’ll know how to advice my child against such kids (well he knows better) before they use their reggae to spoil my blues. God Abeg.

“But seeing this post now and the twist of it all, I just couldn’t take it ( cos I know for a fact how very very strict the teachers were on this trip) blaming such immorality and negligence on the school is unfair cos it DEFINITELY WASNT RAPE!!!

“if ma’am, they were in a hotel where other schools also stayed at, To avoid stories that touch like this, they made sure the boys room was on the 10th floor and the girls room 2nd floor.

“The teachers did their parade 3-5 times daily making sure they were all in their rooms.

Their were over 70kids to 5-6 teachers( this teachers went through hell trying to get them together) But for you to know how badly behaved this kids were, they waited till after mid night (after the last roll call) to get their nasty acts on.

“You can blame the guardians all you want for trying their best and breaking their backs for kids all you want, but CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME.”

Africa’s largest retail bank, Access Bank Plc., yesterday collaborated with the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) to launch the LSETF W Initiative aimed at economically empowering women in Lagos State.

The initiative, which has a total loan portfolio of N10billion, is targeted at women-owned businesses (with at least 50% ownership share) in operation for 1-5 years.

While delivering his address, Access Bank Group Managing Director, Herbert Wigwe said: “Access Bank is fully committed to bridging the existing gap and provide women with the support they need to successfully implement their business ideas”.

  • BudgIT slams Lagos Govt over discrepancy in cost of 9-year old monorail project

BudgIT slams Lagos Govt over discrepancy in cost of 9-year old monorail project

Nigeria’s frontline civic organization for institutional improvement to facilitate societal change BudgIT, on Thursday challenged the Lagos State Government to come clean on the true cost of its monorail project, which has remained uncompleted for the 10th year.

This followed reports citing China Railway Construction Corporation, the company in charge of Lagos light rail project, telling its shareholders in the 2010 report that the value of the contract is USD$182m (as published on the company’s website), contrary to the officially acclaimed figure of USD$1.2bn project cost by the Lagos State government.

This represents a difference of $1.072bn, or 837.5% in the value of the project which commenced under the Tunde Fashola administration (2009-2015).
“The value of the Group’s new overseas contracts during the reporting period was RMB9.5568 billion, which involved the following significant overseas projects: light rail project in Lagos, Nigeria (the value of the contracts for blue line and red line was RMB1.256 billion),” BudgIT quoted the report as noting.

For BudgIT however, “while being conscious of possible underlying factors that could be responsible for this humongous difference, we say with certitude that ambiguities of this like would have ceased to occur had the state government yielded to our demand and that of the people to put an end to its budget secrecy.

“Lagosians deserve to know, steadily and accordingly, full details of how state resources are being used without any hesitation on the part of the government.”
Besides the monorail, the organization in the statement by Adeniyi Soleye, Communications Lead, BudgIT reiterated its “concern about the same opacity that plaques toll gates operation and large constructions in Lagos. Same goes to the abject lack of transparency in the procurement process, an impenetrable system which has ring-fenced public funds around private interests.”

The statement urged the government of Lagos, the fifth largest economy in West Africa, to erase all doubts and concerns by coming out clean on the controversy and putting a figure to the overall cost of the Monorail project, while giving reasons for the discrepancy between the official figure and the contractor’s report.
These, it added, “are key questions that demand an immediate response from the state authority.”

  • Lake Rice: Lagos to produce 16 metric tonnes of rice per hour by December

The Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Oluwatoyin Isiaka Suarau has reiterated the present administration’s commitment to scale up its food sufficiency from the present 12 to 25 percent within the next three years as part of efforts towards ensuring food security in the State.

The Commissioner made this disclosure in Alausa while presenting achievements of the Ministry of Agriculture in the last one year, during the 2017 Annual Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Press Centre, Alausa to commemorate the second year anniversary of the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.

He said that the State government is making additional arrangements for a rice milling plant that would produce 16 metric tonnes of rice per hour by December, adding that the State’s plan is to go beyond production of 10,000 metric tonnes of rice per annum.

Commenting on the distribution of Lake Rice, Suarau assured Lagosians that the current distribution plan by the State government, through designated outlets, is a temporary measure to regulate distribution of the rice and prevent the process from being hijacked by unscrupulous elements who would resell at exorbitant prices.

He further disclosed that meetings have been held with Distributors’ Associations who would eventually aid making the Lake Rice product easily accessible, stressing that the ultimate goal is to make the product available in the open market for Lagosians.

The Commissioner said investment in rice production is not just an interventionist programme but a project that was planned to be continuous, permanent and sustainable especially with the planned 16 metric tonnes per hour rice mill.

According to him, the government is equally encouraging private sector operators to invest in rice processing to boost production in the State.

He also revealed that the present administration intends to give Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) to farmland owners in the State as part of plans to intensify food production, adding that farmers can also obtain business loans from the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund.

Enumerating further on the State’s plan towards food security, he disclosed that the State has acquired hectares of land in other States for farming.

In his words: “Lagos has acquired 500 hectares of land in Eggua, Yewa Local Government of Ogun State for rice production of which 125 hectares had been cultivated with the rest available for potential investors. 84.6 hectares of land has also been acquired in Okini, Oshogbo in Osun State for palmoil and cassava plantation, while processing mills for production at the place are already on ground. 50 hectares of land for cattle rearing and cattle fattening has also been acquired in Kuje, Abuja” he added.

The Commissioner said economic and physical access to sufficient, safe, nutritious and wholesome meals is the goal of the government, adding that the Ministry has contributed massively to job creation via training and empowerment of youths, women and men, thereby reducing poverty in the State in the past two years.
