  • Marriage crisis: Mercy Aigbe is back in my house –Lanre Gentry

    Lanre Gentry, estranged hubby of Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has revealed that the beautiful role interpreter has returned to his house.
    Gentry stated that the issues between him and his wife has been resolved.
    According to him: “We are not in court and we don’t have any issues (again). She is my wife and the court case is over. She is back to my house”, he told Punch.
    Asked the lessons he had learnt from the marriage crisis, the hotelier said: “There is no special lesson to be learnt anywhere. Women are usually misled by their friends. When a woman is in the midst of her friends, many things happen. However, when they realise that they have done something wrong, then they are good to go. We give thanks to God.”
    However, a close associate of Aigbe denied Gentry’s claims, saying he was just seeking attention.When the associate relayed the message to Mercy the actress said, ‘What is wrong with Baba Juwon? And why are people still calling him to ask unnecessary questions? He just wants publicity. I stay in my own house.”
    The source continued, “Mercy is not in the country at the moment; she travelled out to get goods for her stores. He (Gentry) knows that the media is not talking about him again, so he just wants to ‘trend’. Meanwhile, Mercy has moved on; he is the one that is stagnant. I think he is suffering from inferiority complex. At times, when he goes out, he introduces himself as Mercy Aigbe’s husband.”

    Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe stunned her fans recently when she declared in a trending interview that she is still married.

     

    Recall that the pretty mother of two who got married to her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry in 2013,had a messy rift with him which led to their sad separation in 2017.

     

    In 2017, Aigbe took to her Instagram page to recount the travails she encountered while living with Gentry.

    Aigbe said that she endured “beating and harassment” from Gentry for several years and threatened to sue him for making false claims against her.

    She wrote: “Dear Lanre Gentry, It breaks my heart that I have to do this but as it is you have left me with no choice. I had sleepless nights because I just couldn’t comprehend why someone I loved, someone with whom I have a child will be hell bent on destroying me, I just cannot comprehend it.

    “I read with tears in my eyes all the LIES you fabricated against me, LIES you feel will justify your inhumane act, LIES you feel will gain you public sympathy and LIES calculated to bring my person to public opprobrium.”

     

    Amazingly the actress who recently moved into her Magodo residence revealed in an interview that she is still married to Lanre Gentry. No one knows if Mercy is willing to reconcile with her estranged hubby, but only time will tell.

     

     

     

     

     

  • Again! Lanre Gentry slams Mercy Aigbe

    Lanre Gentry, estranged husband of Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has slammed her in a new message.

    Following Gabriel Afolayan’s traditional wedding, Gentry congratulated the newly wedded actor. In his message, he threw a subtle jab at his estranged wife who he battled over their marital crisis last year.

    Gentry revealed that he knows Gabriel Afolayan has made a good choice, and didn’t choose a prostitute who pretends to be a wife.

    According to him:” My brother congratulations on your wedding, I pray you to your marriage and I know God have made your wife the best not the prostitute that we pretend as wife @gabbyluccii God will protect your home in Jesus name”.

    His message sparked a lot of reactions which made him edit the message.

    He wrote:” My brother congratulations on your wedding, I pray to your marriage and I know God have made your wife the best woman for you . @gabbylucciii God we protect your home in Jesus name “.

  • Mercy Aigbe and I talk everyday- Husband

    Contrary to what many believe that Mercy Aigbe and her estranged husband, Lanre Gentry don’t longer communicate, Gentry has stated that they communicate every day.

    The businessman even wished her a happy birthday when she recently celebrated her birthday.

     

    He wrote on Instagram: “Today, you are @40. Even though we are fighting I still say happy birthday to you because you are still my wife and my children mother as I use to call you ones again happy birthday to you Mercy Aigbe Gentry. Long life and God bless you”.

     

    When asked why he was absent at his wife’s birthday bash, he said: “The main reason I was not at her birthday party was that I was not in Nigeria on that day. I travelled to Dubai and I returned on Wednesday. Despite the fact that I was not in the country, I bought her a birthday cake and other gifts I would not want to mention because it is an issue between husband and wife. Mercy and I are not fighting. We talk every day. I know that in the birthday wish I sent to her via Instagram, I wrote that we are still fighting but what I actually meant was not a real fight but the normal lovers’ quarrel. I am a very peaceful person and I don’t like fighting, most times, I compare myself to water which has no enemy.

     

    “Mercy follows me on Instagram, so, I was surprised that the news went round that she is following me again. If she had ‘unfollowed’ me before, there was no way I would have noticed because I have a lot of followers on Instagram” he said in a chat with Punch.

    Budding movie producer, Kenny Adams popularly called Lege Miami has accused Lanre Gentry of threatening to kill him for allegedly having an affair with his estranged wife.

     

    The filmmaker alleged that he received a threat message from the actress’ estranged husband.He took to his Instagram page to post the alleged message sent to him by Gentry.The actor in an emotion laden voice in a video said he is not romantically involved with the actress.

    When you think of Mercy Aigbe these days, what comes to your mind will be her messy matrimonial troubles. Just when we thought we have heard the last about Mercy Aigbe and Lanre Gentry’s failed marriage tales, another of their revelations becomes the subject of discussion on social media. She believes so much in her husband’s money which is even one of the reasons I love her because she wants a responsible husband, which I am.     Following Lanre Gentry’s public apology to estranged wife, Mercy Aigbe, over battering her, the actress has taken to her Instagram page to react to his apology.

    Just when many thought she would bury the hatchet, the actress went further threatening to release more damning evidences showing that he molested her. Aigbe stated that she has more than enough evidences and witnesses against him, stating that his fate will be determined in the court of law.

    She wrote:”Mr Gentry keep denying, you need more lies. I have more than enough evidences, witnesses and your fate will be determined in the law court.Begging in private and forming saint in public. Now you suddenly remember the kids? Now you suddenly remember you have a family name? When you were busy telling all those hideous lies against me, you forgot we have kids! When you were busy punching me, hitting me and almost killed me that day you forgot we had kids?Which was not your first time.

  • Finally! Lanre Gentry apologises to Mercy Aigbe

    Following messy revelations and denials on social media, Lanre Gentry, estranged husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe; has buried the hatchet. The businessman has finally apologized to his embattled wife over how he battered and molested her.

    On Thursday Gentry responded to a video Mercy released showing her bloodied nose by saying it was a movie. The actress also posted screenshots of a conversation between them where Gentry was apologizing for beating her.

     

    Gentry has now apologized to Aigbe adding that he still loves her.

    Hear him:“For peace to reign, I’m going to bury all hatchet and break the bone of contention between myself and Mercy Aigbe Gentry.I’m sorry to those who I’ve hurt with my action and comment/words.

    Mercy, you claimed that I’m begging you behind curtains, OK here I am begging you openly. I’m sorry!!! This drama is exhausting and I’m done with it all

     

    “Despite all that’s been happening; I don’t love you less. I still see you as the mother of my children and I want to give you the respect to that regard.

    Embattled Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has been campaigning lately on domestic violence. The actress on Thursday shared the screenshot of a conversation she once had with her husband on Instagram , pleading with him to stop assaulting her. In the conversation, Lanre Gentry had promised to stop molesting her, but eventually the same domestic violence saga led to the crash of their marriage.

     

     

    In her words:” Why will a man who obviously beat his wife, try so much to deny what he did? My take is because he knows what he did is wrong and apparently he is ashamed and cannot own up to it…… Let us be very careful of what we do especially when we are angry as we might not know the consequences of that action.Violence like I keep saying does not and will not solve anything, let us learn to control our anger at all times

    The 38-year-old actress who shared the video of her battered face to campaign against violence said: “Violence is not an option! It is inhumane and shouldn’t be condoned #saynotodomesticviolence #noshameinmypain #speakout. Battery and assault is a crime punishable under the law!”

    TheNewsGuru reports that in 2013 the couple, debunked rumours of domestic violence after Gentry was accused of behaving in a violent manner towards the actress whom he supposedly caught in a compromising position.

    Mercy Aigbe’s estranged husband blasts government

    Lanre Gentry, estranged husband of Mercy Aigbe has slammed the government for making his embattled wife ambassador for widows.

     

    The angry entrepreneur condemned the government’s action while wishing men all around the world a happy father’s day in an Instagram post. He said the government is responsible for destroying marriages. Gentry questioned why someone will take up the role of a widow ambassador when her husband was still alive.

    He wrote, “Happy fathers’ day to all the dads out there.

     

    “May we be known always as the heroes in our kids’ lives.

     

    “And to government who directly or indirectly separate home; shows what a good government we have.

     

    “Makes me wonder why someone will take up being a widow ambassador when her husband isn’t dead.
