2018 was an eventful year for the Nigerian entertainment scene.

With the release of amazing songs and movies, 2019 is sure going to witness more of these masterpieces from our Nigerian talents.

In no particular order, TNG takes a look at entertainers who may shape the entertainment scene in 2019.

    Victor AD

Victor AD’s ‘Wetin we gain’ became a viral national hit as a result of the relatable message and tune of the song. In 2019, the crooner will have to proof himself as not being a one-hit wonder. He would have to maintain his spot as one of the new revelations of the music industry.

    Teni the entertainer

On her Instagram bio, the ‘Case’ sensation describes herself as a ‘one take god’.

Beyond that, Teni has proven that she has what it takes to shine in the Nigerian music space in 2019. Truth be told, Teni is no longer that emerging act who reigned in 2018, her huge social media following, song downloads, music video views on YouTube all point in one direction, she is an eagle destined to win.

    Skibii

When ex- Five StarMusic act, Skibii left the record label, many predicted his doom. However, the ‘Sensima’ singer has proven that he can shine without the input of the Kcee led Five Star Music as Sensima became a hit record towards the end of 2018. Skibii would have to do beyond that in 2019.

    Bharry Jay

Rising singer, Oluwakayode Junior Balogun aka Bharry Jay gifted the industry with his Afro-pop song ‘Aiye o le’ in 2018.

His voice texture, lyrical ingenuity and melody made him fans favourite, with him headlining major shows in the country. The chubby has what it takes to rule the music scene in 2019.

    Sola Sobowale

The veteran actress has proven times without number that age is no excuse to remain redundant. Many won’t forget in a hurry the role of Alhaja Eniola Salami she played in the movie ‘King of Boys’.

In ‘King of Boys’, Sobowale combined her trade mark authenticity, energy and unrivalled depth needed as a ruler of the underworld striving to win political battles in the movie.

The actress fondly called ‘Toyin Tomatoes’ would sure appear in more block buster movies in 2019.

    Peruzzi

DMW music act, Peruzzi is undoubtedly one of the most talented music act of 2018. Though he lost

the ‘Best New Artiste’ award to Teni at the just concluded Soundcity MPV awards, he would have to do more in order to seal his spot in the competitive Nigerian music scene.
