2face Idibia’s management clears air on singer impregnating another woman

Following reports that legendary singer, Innocent Idibia, better known as 2face Idibia or 2baba Idibia 2Face, impregnated another woman, his management has reacted, saying it is confirmed to be blatantly false.

His management released an official statement, noting that It is understandable for fans, friends and concerned members of public to get curious.

The rumor of the singer having another baby mama on the way sprouted after he penned a lengthy apology note to his wife, and family over shortcomings.

The statement reads, “It is understandable for fans, friends and concerned members of the public to get curious and seek to know why @official2baba posted an apology to his wife, @annieidibia1, family and management a few days ago.

We would like to put it on record that the “why” is exactly what was explicitly spelled out in the same post – the pressure of almost a quarter of a century of superstardom and a wish to focus on making music without the burden of high expectations of a role model.

Reports of him getting anyone pregnant are totally false and malicious and we urge well-meaning media platforms and members of the public to completely disregard such. It is fake news.

Many would recall that this fictitious banker character has been repeatedly getting e-pregnant for @official2baba every two or three years since 2014. There is no iota of truth in this allegation.

2Baba, who is also an activist, is widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s greatest musicians of all time.

He is most influential for the rise in popularity of Nigerian pop music in the 2000s, and his solo debut album Face2Face (with the smash hit “African Queen”) ushered in a new wave of awareness and reverence for Nigerian music amongst Africans on the continent and in the diaspora.

Prior to July 2014, he went by the stage name 2face Idibia.

2Baba is the first winner of the MTV EMA Best African Act category in 2005 and is one of the most awarded Nigerian musicians in history.

In 2019, 2baba, in collaboration with other well-known artists like Cohbams Asuquo and Timi Dakolo, released a song for awareness of the rights of children.
