  • Ndidi rescues point for Leicester against West Ham [EPL standings]

Leicester City midfielder Wilifred Ndidi’s 89th minute strike earns The Foxes late draw against West Ham at King Power stadium.
West Ham got an early lead in the 30th minute with a powerful header from defender Fabian Balbuena.
West Ham defender Declan Rice reacted to the late equaliser saying ,”It’s difficult to do much more than we did. We got that slice of luck that we were more than warranted to”.

“We need to work on getting that second ball. They were looking for it and were first to it. We need to be more switched on and not concede those kinds of goals”.

“The manager told us not to give them anything to hang on to. We tried to get the goal early but we couldn’t. I think if we had we could have gone on to win the game comfortably but we kept plugging away”.

Leicester goalscorer Wilfred Ndidi said, “It was really difficult in the first half but the second half was better. We just had to keep going”.

“I didn’t know if it [the goal] was going to come but it did eventually. It was obviously a studs up tackle [from Mark Noble]. I think it was the right decision.”

Mark Noble was shown red card for studs-up tackle on Ndidi in 38th minute of the game.

Chelsea face Burnley, while Arsenal play away at Crystal Palace and Manchester United host Everton on Sunday.

Leave Leicester City Now, Okoronkwo tells Ahmed Musa

Former Super Eagles defender, Isaac Okoronkwo has told Ahmed Musa to follow in John Obi Mikel’s example and leave Leicester City to get regular football chance.

Musa has been frozen out in Leicester and against the back drop of the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, Okoronkwo who ended his career in Russia, urged the Super Eagles winger to change club. ‘’Take John Obi Mikel for example.

He correctly did that, he left Chelsea for China. It’s better to play there than to sit on the bench.’’ Okoronkwo added : ‘’I want to visit at least two matches out of three (at the World Cup).

I hope that they will call me, as it was in the recent game in Krasnodar. By the way, I talked with the guys and, in particular, with Ahmed Musa .

‘’I tried to convince him that returning to Russia would be the right step. In Leicester he sits on the bench, completely lost the game tone. ‘’Before the World Cup, he needs a team that he knows well, and after the tournament you will be able to think about other options. Especially CSKA Moscow, they need a central striker now.’’

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers and Rostov defender hung up his boots four years ago but remained in Russia because he’s married to a Russian lady

Leicester finally complete Adrien Silva’s £22m signing

Midfielder Adrien Silva has finally joined Leicester City, after the Premier League club missed the deadline to sign him in August by 14 seconds.

Fifa rejected the 28-year-old’s move from Sporting Lisbon in the summer as the paperwork arrived too late.

His £22m deal was completed on Monday, but he is not eligible for the Foxes’ home match against Huddersfield.

Speaking about the four-month wait for the move to be approved, Silva said: “When you have a period like this, it’s very up and down.

“You have to keep a positive mentality and that’s what I’ve tried to do. I’ve kept my mind focused on my job and what I love to do.”

Silva, who was born in France, has won 20 international caps and was part of the Portugal squad that won Euro 2016.

“It’s been very frustrating, but now the difficult times are past me and I’m very happy to be close to my goal,” he told LCFC TV.

“I’ve been working hard every day to arrive at this moment and I’m in good shape.

“It’s been very important to keep training because it’s a long time not playing. There is nothing better than the game.”

“This club is a huge part of my life and I’m honoured to be up there alongside Sir Bobby,” said Rooney following the 4-0 win.

“It’s a proud moment. To do it at a massive club like Manchester United, I’m hugely honoured.”
