1, 400 gays, lesbians and transgenders storm Vatican

Over 1,400 Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Catholics and their supporters from around 20 countries on Friday converged on the Vatican for a pilgrimage officially included in the Church’s Jubilee Holy Year programme.

TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that La Tenda di Gionata (The Tent of Jonathan), an Italian association organised the gathering to advocate for inclusivity within the Church.

This marks the first time an LGBTQ-focused pilgrimage has been formally recognised in the Jubilee calendar. Participants, however, were not scheduled for a private audience with Pope Leo XIV.

The pilgrims joined millions of others in the traditional walk to Saint Peter’s Basilica, stepping through the Holy Door as part of the Jubilee rites. They held a prayer vigil, on Friday followed by a Saturday morning mass at the historic Church of the Gesù in central Rome.

Among them was 68-year-old Yveline Behets, a transgender woman from Brussels, who trekked 130 kilometres along the ancient Via Francigena route with 30 others.

“We are not just outsiders who are welcomed sometimes, we are part of the same family,” she told AFP.

Hugo, a 35-year-old pilgrim from Quebec, called the initiative “a really important signal” for inclusion within the Catholic community. He expressed hope that it would encourage more Catholics “on the fence” to embrace LGBTQ members.

For centuries, the Church has defined marriage strictly as a union between a man and a woman and described same-sex relationships as “intrinsically disordered.”

While Pope Francis, who died in April, took steps toward a more welcoming Church — including authorising blessings for same-sex couples in 2023 — the move faced backlash, especially in conservative regions like Africa.

His successor, Pope Leo XIV, has reaffirmed the Church’s stance on marriage but upheld Francis’s decision on blessings.

Anglican Church reiterates stance on LGBTQ

The Anglican Communion in Nigeria has reiterated its stance against Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) orientation.

Rev. Nneoyi Egbe, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Calabar, made the remark during a press conference to mark the second session of the 12th Synod of the Diocese in Calabar on Monday.

The theme of the synod, ‘’Image which Thou has Set Up,’’ is drawn from the book of Daniel, chapter 3 verse 18.

Egbe said that the synod would commence on Wednesday, July 16 to end on Sunday, July 20.

He explained that the stance of the church in Nigeria and many other provinces world wide that had coalesced  into the Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON) did not welcome same-sex issues.

He stated, “God nor the Bible has not changed, so we are not changing on this matter of LGBTQ.’’

According to him, we do not condemn them, in fact, we welcome them but we tell them clearly what the Bible said.

“If they are willing to receive it and repent, that is ok, we love them. But our position as a church is that we don’t condone or tolerate LGBTQ in any way; marriage, according to God’s plan, is between a man and a woman, nothing else,” Egbe said.

Speaking further, the bishop stated that the church was investing in its schools and their target was bringing up children who were completely balanced intellectually and in character.

This, he said, was to create a better future for the society, explaining that moral decadence in schools started when the government took over schools from the churches.

“Today, the churches have to reinvent their relevance by reopening church schools to bring back morals in our education,’’ Egbe said.

  • LGBTQ endorsement: FG clarifies Samoa agreement again

LGBTQ endorsement: FG clarifies Samoa agreement again

The Federal Government has dismissed a newspaper report claiming that the Samoa partnership agreement signed June 28 has endorsed the rights of Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ) people in Nigeria.

It also rejected the claims that Nigeria would receive 150 billion for entering into the deal.

Mr Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and planning, made the clarification at a press conference in Abuja on Saturday.

The minister, along with his information and national orientation counterpart Mohammed Idris, had called the conference to react to a report by the Daily Trust.

In the report, the medium claimed that the Federal Government signed an agreement with clauses requiring Nigeria to endorse the rights of LGBTQI people.

It further said that the populous African nation would pocket 150 billion dollars for endorsing the deal.

The report has sparked off social, religious and cultural tension with the allegations becoming the topics for most sermons in Mosques and Churches.

The minister said that the agreement, generally referred to as the Samoa agreement, was signed at the Organisation of Africa, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), Secretariat in Brussels, Belgium, on June 28.

Details of the agreement indicated that the partnership is between the European Union and its member states on one hand, and members of OACPCS on the other.

Negotiations on the agreement began in 2018 and it was signed on Nov. 15, 2018 by all 27 EU member-states and 47 of the 79 OACPS states.

The African Regional Protocol on the matter consists of two parts – framework for cooperation and areas of cooperation that include sustainable economic growth, environment and human rights protection, among others.

Reacting to the medium’s report on the matter, Bagudu said that there was no iota of truth in it.

He said that there was nowhere in the document where 150 billion dollars was mentioned.

He also said that the agreement made no reference to LGBTQ or the rights of people involved in such activities.

He declared that President Bola Tinubu was a proud Nigerian and would never sign any document that could hurt its laws and constitution.

He said that the agreement was seeking to foster cooperation between EU’s 27 members and OACPC with 79 nations.

“The partnership is about trade agreements, human rights and environmental promotion.”

He said Nigeria signed after extensive reviews and consultations by the interministerial committee convened by the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and that of
    justice.

He said Nigeria had made it clear that any provision that is inconsistent with the laws of Nigeria shall be null and void.

“This is what the government has to say on the issue of same-sex marriage. There is an existing law against that since 2014.

“It is necessary to assure Nigerians that Tinubu’s administration, being a rule-based government, will not enter into any international agreement that will be detrimental to the interest of the country and its citizens,” he said.

He pointed out that Nigera had entered into many other agreements most of which had benefited the country in the areas of water, sanitation, education, agriculture, among others.

According to him, the Samoa agreement is focused on economic development, security, environment, migration, mobility and climate change.

Other areas included investment opportunities, sustainable development and mutually beneficial cooperations, among others.

He said that no article supported rights of LGBTQ, declaring that everything signed was in tandem with Nigera’s laws.

“President Tinubu is non-apologetic about his respects for our diversities and wouldn’t want to do anything that will hurt anyone.

“President Tinubu did not authorise any agreement that can undermine our constitution or laws.

“We did not sign anything that has a clause that challenges our laws. We are always conscious of our sovereignty; we respect our two religions,” he declared.

He urged the media to be truthful and patriotic in the handling of reports so as to protect national interest.

Bagudu reminded the media that development partners are also sensitive to media reports.

“Let us not ridicule ourselves and scare international investors. Nigerians should be allowed to know the truth,” he said.

He said that there were hardworking Nigerians helping the nation to secure foreign investments, support and cooperation.

“We should not undermine their efforts and discourage them from putting in their best for the nation,” he said.

  • “Warn your husband” – By Valentine Obienyem

“Warn your husband” – By Valentine Obienyem

    By Valentine Obienyem

The title above was what my wife confronted me with after the 5:30 am Mass on the 28th of January 2024 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish, Awka. As we were returning to our seats after the offertory, I encountered what I considered an offensive sight: a young man with long plaited hair. He appeared to be an exceptionally troublesome individual, with distrustful eyes. Deliberately, I decided to address what to me was the foolishness of his inverted sartorial display by asking him for his head covering, like other women.

After the Mass, while waiting for the Mass server to return my balance for the Fides newspaper that I had purchased, he approached my wife and  requested  her to warn me with these words: “warn your husband, tell him that I do not take nonsense.” I regretted not meeting him eyeball to eyeball. I would have engaged him in conversation, asking about his profession and other matters in a convivial atmosphere. “What did you do to him?” my wife inquired. Although she did not support me, I explained to her that the reaction of that young man brought me joy, as it indicated that my actions had an impact on him and would lead him to reflect in his saner moments. Conversion is a process that involves a chain of events— observation, rebuke, protest, reflection, and a gradual return to a sense of propriety. My wife was concerned because, according to her, when the young man spoke, his eyes flashed lightning-like Jove’s thunderbolts and seemed to pierce in all directions as if he would have fought me if he saw me.

As a chief executive, I have had the opportunity to invite some job seekers to my office. Interestingly, their dressing, confidence, courage, and even their demeanor are all part of the interview. Due to the inadequate upbringing of today’s children, you may find some of them attending interviews with braids and wearing suggestive clothing not realizing that no serious Chief Executive would procure temptation for himself. Unfortunately, this marks the beginning of their failures. This brings us to the fashion trends of today’s men.

Many years ago, when I met my former Rector in the Seminary, who was then the spiritual director, Msgr. Jeremiah Ikegbusi, he recounted how times had changed. He mentioned that during our time, parents raised children with proper values for their continued development, but nowadays, they bring up children without any trace of home training. This explains why irresponsible fashion trends are fully embraced today, unlike in the past when only a few followed such trends. What are the definitions of these fashion trends?

Today, in addition to poor behaviour and a total lack of respect, fashion is defined in terms of nudity. Like in Eden, our girls are mostly naked, and they do not seem to realize it. Once one opens some social media platforms, one is bombarded with all sorts of filthy words from those who are seeking followers. I was once shown a woman advertising what is now baptized as “ Kpekus”, as other wares are advertised! Why is it that only nudity and filthy language attract more followers than refined content?

We are burdened by an environment where characters like Bobrisky, who would have been ostracized in the past, are now followed and even defended by those who share his views. They often justify their actions with what they term “body positivity” and the freedom to choose what to do with oneself. If suicide is a crime, one not allowed to take one’s  life, logic demands that one is not entirely free to do with oneself whatever one likes. What is particularly confusing in a country like Nigeria is that despite the laws regulating certain behaviours, law enforcement agents has yet to use Bobrisky as an example by arresting, prosecuting, and imprisoning him, thus demonstrating that society remains the custodian of its values. This suggests that even those who should enforce these laws lack values themselves or have grown insouciant. Daily, in the name of LGBTQ, some young men openly declare themselves as homosexuals and lesbians, and yet they are not only celebrated but also allowed to influence others. Instead of seeking meaningful ways to contribute to society, our people are seeking easy ways to make money through boisterous indecency.

Women are naturally distinguished by the symmetry of their figures, the gracefulness of their bodies, the length and waviness of their hair, and the pleasing lightness of their movement. When a man, like Bobrisky, unnaturally attempts to transform himself into a woman in pursuit of fame, something is clearly wrong with him. Our people will start naming white men and women that did the same as if they are stamps of approval.

About two years ago, I wrote and suggested the arrest of one “Onye Eze” Jesus for indecent exposure in the name of “Isa uchu.” I commended the Anambra State government, then under Gov. Willie Obiano, for promptly taking action, but I regret that he was not prosecuted and jailed. The current situation calls for drastic action. Why does the government allow charlatans like those at Oba,l and  Asaba to continue deceiving the people? For the well-being of the society, the government should either look for existing laws or enact new ones to put an end to their activities. Why should a few renegades be allowed to lead the youth astray in the name of making money without working, by promoting terms like “Oke Ite,“ “Ibubo”, “awelle”, and the like? What our youth need is not foolishness but encouragement to be inventive, industrious, and thrifty.

That young man whom I asked to cover his head probably did not understand what he was doing. He likely braided his hair because others were doing so, without a moment’s reflection about propriety. The same goes for men who wear earrings. To illustrate how low their thinking is, the culture has been hijacked by individuals like them, mostly “keke” drivers, “agberoes”, masons, and others. Have you not noticed that many of them dye their hair in various colors, braid it, and generally carry themselves with an air of importance, as if they belong to the “ndi na amovu” forward tribe? Such individuals think they belong without realizing that such indulgences were already seen in the past and died out when such fashion failed the test of reason to be sustained. What is heartbreaking is that they are not enlightened enough to realize the folly of their actions.

Also on the rise are breast enhancements and related indulgences. I consider those who undergo any type of body enhancement, including buttock and breast augmentation, as suffering from low self-esteem—all of them. They are so fixated on these enhancements because they seem to be in vogue, without considering the regrets of those who underwent such procedures in the past.

Society should not allow those who are deceived or ignorant to persist in their madness in the name of fashion. They live under the illusion that celebrities like Flavour and  Osihmehn dye their hair and engage in such inverted sartorial displays, as if their participation lends legitimacy to nonsense. The truth is that many of these celebrities are not at all suited to the dignity Nigerians attribute to them. Do these pointless hairstyles affect the quality of their music? Did musicians who gave the world timeless lyrics like Don Williams, Kenny Rogers,  Osadebe, and Ebenezer Obe embrace such inverted sartorial displays? What about fiery lyricists like Smokie whose words were irresistible to the ears?

The current generation often fails to grasp that there is nothing inherently novel in their actions or lifestyle choices. Breast enlargement, homosexuality, lesbianism—these are not recent phenomena. There is actually nothing new under the sun. Many years ago, philosopher Aristippus advocated for embracing pleasure, epitomised by his motto, “I possess, but am not possessed.” Conversely, Antisthenes, the founder of Cynicism, emphasised stripping away material attachments to free the soul, as reflected in his motto, “I do not possess, in order not to be possessed.” He lived a modest life, prompting Socrates to jest about his apparent vanity. Diogenes, a staunch follower of Cynic doctrine, famously admired the simplicity of animals and sought to emulate it by living on the ground, subsisting on whatever he could find, and openly engaging in natural acts in plain view. Let our youth know that even going naked is not an innovation. There is nothing they do today that has not been done in the past. Society always provides us with the alternative of vice or virtue, but good sense, maturity, and discernment enable us to choose rightly.

Society continues to drift aimlessly; the tragedy is that most of those who should offer direction are themselves immersed in vices. During my undergraduate studies in Philosophy, Prof. Mmaduabichi Dukor conducted a thought-provoking exercise in one of his classes in Symbolic Logic. He singled out a student with dreadlocks and asked him to ponder how his parents would perceive his appearance compared to his peers. Such gestures can prompt individuals to reflect deeply on their actions and reconsider their inauthentic choices. Similarly, I hope religious leaders, like Reverend Fathers, can delicately address such matters, encouraging introspection. I have not heard any of them express disgust during mass as the number of male braided hair threatens to equal those of women. We must urge young people to uphold discipline in their conduct, moderation in their desires, and objectivity in their thoughts.

Have you observed how some individuals profit from promoting indecency and vice? Consider those who establish clubs and facilitate environments conducive to the exploitation of women as objects of desire or even prostitution. Despite the harm inflicted on countless lives, they ultimately profit financially. Is it appropriate for us to commend such individuals? Yet, sadly, they often receive praise and recognition in our society, which has a more negative than positive effect.

In conclusion, Msgr. Ikegbusi rightly lamented the decline in proper home upbringing. As a parent, it is crucial to reflect on what we are imparting to the next generation. What kind of society are we nurturing?

  • With time same sex marriage will be accepted by everyone – Pope

With time same sex marriage will be accepted by everyone – Pope

Pope Francis has expressed confidence that those who criticise his decision to allow blessings for same-sex couples will come to understand it over time, except for Africans, whom he referred to as a “special case.”

Reuters reports that Pope Francis stated that Africans perceive homosexuality negatively from a cultural perspective in an interview with Italian newspaper, La Stampa, that was published on Monday.

“Those who protest vehemently belong to small ideological groups. A special case are Africans: for them homosexuality is something bad from a cultural point of view, they don’t tolerate it.

“But in general, I trust that gradually everyone will be reassured by the spirit of the ‘Fiducia Supplicans’ declaration by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith: it aims to include, not divide,” he said.

Last month, a Vatican document called Fiducia Supplicans (Supplicating Trust), which allowed blessings for same-sex couples, sparked widespread debate in the Catholic Church and around the world.

However, the Vatican made it clear that blessings should not be included in regular church ceremonies or linked to civil unions or weddings.

It emphasised that it continues to view marriage as between a man and a woman.

According to Reuters, last week, Francis seemed to recognise the resistance that the document generated, particularly in Africa, where in some countries, same-sex activity can result in severe consequences, such as imprisonment or even capital punishment.

He said that when the blessings are given, priests should “naturally take into account the context, the sensitivities, the places where one lives and the most appropriate ways to do it.”

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria announced that Catholic churches within the country will not perform blessings for same-sex unions.

“That would go against God’s law, the teachings of the Church, the laws of our nation, and the cultural sensibilities of our people,” they said in a statement.

According to the bishops, there was a misinterpretation of Pope Francis’s decision to allow the blessing of same-sex marriage.

“The Declaration reinforces the truth about God’s mercy. For one to willingly ask for a blessing demonstrates one’s trust in God and the desire to live according to God’s commandments.

“Asking for God’s blessing is not dependent on how good one is. Imperfection is the reason for seeking God’s grace.

“Therefore, those in irregular unions are invited never to lose hope but rather to ask for God’s grace and
mercy while remaining open to conversion.”

Ending LGBTQ+ totalitarianism – By Sonnie Ekwowusi

The lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual and other queer behaviours (LGBTQ+) world community is increasingly resorting to violence to force innocent people to adopt the LGBTQ ideology and lifestyle against their will and rights. We are experiencing a one-world government of untrammeled LGBTQ+ tyranny.

Through the corrupt mainstream media, the LGBTQ+ tyrants use psychological techniques to manipulate people and influence their behaviors and actions. In this regard, the U.S. has positioned itself as the LGBTQ+ policeman of the world. As far as the U.S. is concerned, any country that has not legalized LGBTQ+ rights is not in the good books of the U.S. Former President Obama plotted against former President Goodluck Jonathan for outlawing LGBTQ+ rights in Nigeria. U.S. President Joe Biden has made LGBTQ+ the centerpiece of American foreign policy.

To this effect, Biden has ordered that the American flag should be flown alongside the LGBTQ+ flag, portraying America as an LGBTQ+ country. Vice President Kamala Harris is tirelessly visiting African countries and putting pressure on African leaders to legalize LGBTQ+ rights. The U.S. government is now imposing sanctions on Uganda for enacting the Ugandan Anti-Homosexuality Act. The U.S. is also contemplating restricting the issuance of U.S. visas to Ugandan government officials.

The European Union (EU) is presently pressuring Africa-Caribbean and Pacific countries (ACP) to sign the controversial and deceitful EU-ACP agreement. The EU-ACP Agreement aims to replace the controversial Cotonou Agreement of 2000. Any ACP country that signs the agreement consents to the legalization of abortion, transgender rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and the inclusion of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in its schools, which covers topics like safe sex, safe abortion, masturbation, kissing, hugging, and intimate touching.

Moreover, the EU-ACP agreement is targeted at overriding the domestic laws and constitutions of ACP countries. The first meeting of the parties to the agreement took place in Maputo, Mozambique, in late October 2022. That meeting ended in a deadlock as most ACP parliamentarians vehemently opposed the signing of the agreement. Another meeting of EU and ACP ministers took place in Brussels on November 28, 2022, with the aim of exerting greater pressure on ACP ministers to convince ACP heads of government to sign the agreement. Another meeting on the agreement has now been scheduled to be held from June 19 to 28, 2023, in Brussels.

The tragic aspect is the forceful sexualization and homosexualization of little children. They want to catch the children in order to damage their character with illicit sex and LGBT. “Little children are sexual beings who must have sexual partners and must begin to have sex as soon as possible. For this reason, kindergartens and elementary schools must teach children to develop lust and sexual desire, learn masturbation, build same-sex relations, use online pornography and learn different sexual techniques such as oral sex”.

This is one of the official guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations to educational authorities worldwide, Nigeria included. In fact sexualization of kids is part of the UN Agenda 2023. To this effect, the United Nations has directed that elementary schools must teach little kids about masturbation, sexual behaviours, sexual attractions and sexual stimulation aimed at getting them to have sexual partners in their tender ages.

The WHO instructs schools to encourage little children to engage in homosexual relationships with their friends. Right in front of is the syllabi for teaching little kids LGBTQ+. I have in particular the LGBT curriculum issued by Rutgers Foundation. Rutgers operates in 27 countries including Nigeria and Ghana. Rudgers works closely with WHO.

Rutgers is funded by Bill Gates and the United Nations. Rudgers’ LGBT curriculum which is meant to be pasted in elementary schools aims at luring the lids into LGBTQ+ lifestyles. Two girls are shown kissing. Another two girls are shown looking for a “safe-place” to have lesbian sex. Two boys are shown holding hands and saying” “Yes, we both want it” Afrikindness, an NGO in the UK that specializes in teaching toddlers and kids the ABCs of LGBTQ+, in conjunction with the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) of Nigeria are recruiting Nigerian teachers and teaching them the principles of LGBTQ+ and how to impart LGBTQ+ in children.

For instance, as part of their activities marking the last Children’s Day Celebration last month, Afrikindness and NAPPS organized on May 20th 2023 an online LGBTQ+ Teachers’ Training Workshop with the theme: investing in our future is investing in our children. Disney now produces gay cartoons of all kinds. Many Nigerian parents do not know that their under-7 toddlers are clued to the TV watching gay cartoons such as The Loud House, Big Mouth, The legend of Korra, Scooby Doo Mystery, Steven Universe, Hey Arnold, Clarence, Adventure time. What they are doing is to acculturate under-7 children into LGBTQ+.

Therefore parents should be cautious of their children on TV. There is another LGBTQ+ catchy book for children in circulation with the title: Mary has a little pussy. It contains very graphic sexual and LGBT illustrations to get children imbibe the pervasive sexual and LGBTQ+ lifestyles.

In 2010 Mr. McAlpine, a Christian preacher in the UK, was handing out leaflets explaining the Ten Commandments when a lady passer-by came up and engaged him in a debate about his faith and he told the woman that homosexuality is a sin. For saying this, he was arrested and locked in a cell. In April 2021 John Sherwood, 71, a Christian pastor, was arrested and led away in handcuffs by the police and detained overnight after being accused of preaching from the Bible and making homophobic comments which amounted to hate speech outside Uxbridge Station in West London. A new MP in the UK has called for school hours to be extended to 6 pm so that the school kids will find time to have sex among themselves.

A Canadian court has ordered a father to henceforth address and treat his 11-year old transgendered daughter as a boy. In fact, the parents of the gender-confused 11-year old girl who is on hormone blockers are divorced, and the father disagrees with the mother with regard to the treatment of the child’s condition. In Germany and other countries, sex corners have been carved out for school children where they are taught masturbation, how to wear condoms and how to engage in so-called safe-sex all in the name sex education.

In Canada, a lady goes to a barber’s shop that only cuts men’s hair and insists that the barber must cut her hair. The barber refuses because his faith as a Muslim prohibits him from touching women who are not family members. The woman files a complaint at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal claiming “gender discrimination” She refuses the barber’s referral to another shop willing to give her the desired haircut because she wants to force that barber to give her men’s hair. In America and Europe, some bakers who have refused to bake cake for gay “couples”, have either been jailed or have their bakeries shut down.

I can’t remember now whether it was in the UK or Ghana that I first met Paul Diamond, Esquire. Paul is a UK attorney who specializes in defending those persecuted and prosecuted for publicly professing their Christian beliefs. He has brought leading religious liberty and human rights cases from the House of Lords to the European Court of Human Rights. For instance, in the case of Eweida & Others v United Kingdom, Paul defended a lady who was fired by British Airways because she wore a necklace containing a crucifix.

The British kingdom had argued that wearing a necklace with a crucifix offended the secularity of the British Kingdom. The paradox is that while employees of other faiths were permitted to manifest their beliefs, Christians cannot wear a crucifix. In the case of Ngole v University of Sheffield – one of the most important cases on freedom of private religious speech – Paul defended Felix Ngole, who was recently removed from his master’s social work degree after calling homosexuality “a sin” on Facebook. Paul was a counsel in the case of R v Overd, in which the court considered whether quoting the Bible was hate speech in the criminal courts.

A 42-year-old Baptist, who has preached Christianity in Workington, Cumbria for years, said he did not mention homosexuality while delivering a sermon from the top of a stepladder but admitted telling a passing shopper that he believed it is against the law of God. For saying that, he was arrested and charged in court. Police officers alleged that he made the remark in a voice loud enough to be overheard by others and charged him with using abusive or insulting language, contrary to the Public Order Act.

In July 2022, in the UK, Bainbridge man Ryan Williamson, 44, was arrested in Larne and Dundalk last August and September respectively after preaching against homosexuality and was charged with public order offenses. However, his defense lawyers successfully defended him from all charges, citing his European Convention Human Rights of freedom of expression and association. In April 2023, a Christian school in north London punished a pupil who said that homosexuality is a sin.

Recently, a schoolgirl in the UK was punished by her school for stating that homosexuality is a sin. It wasn’t that the girl condemned homosexuality. The girl was asked by a teacher to give her opinion on homosexuality, and she expressed that homosexuality was a sin. That was all. When withdrawing the girl from the school, her mom said to the school authorities, “You asked my daughter for her opinion, and after she expressed her opinion, you punished her.”

A Nigerian engineer working in the UK has recently been fired by his employer. Why? Because, after delving into his past, his employer is now alleging that twelve years ago he made an uncomplimentary remark in Italy about the gay lifestyle.

The foregoing attests that gay totalitarianism now looms large in the world. What used to be regarded as human civilization is being reinvented and, in the process, eroded. Studies on the rise and fall of civilizations show that most civilizations are brought down by combinations of factors, which obviously include the collapse of objective moral standards, the superstructures for the construction of societal ethos.

For example, empires such as Greece under Pericles, Rome under Caesar, France under Napoleon, Germany under Hitler, and others collapsed due to a combination of political and moral corruption. In fact, the Roman Empire collapsed under the weight of moral corruption. Today, Western civilization is crumbling or has completely crumbled. Sad.

Therefore, the African continent must rediscover itself and rise above the present challenges clipping its wings. Afro-pessimism should give way to Afrocentrism. Laws are made in accordance with the values of a people. Every country is interested in protecting what it holds dear or its cherished values. LGBTQ+ is a complete break with African civilization.

The consensus reached at the various United Nations Conferences is that the laws passed in every developing country, including Nigeria, must reflect the diverse social, economic, and environmental conditions of that country, with full respect for their religious, cultural backgrounds, and philosophical convictions. LGBTQ+ shows no respect for the religious and philosophical convictions of the Nigerian people and therefore cannot be imported into Nigeria.

African countries must adhere to our own values, traditions, and identity. It is suicidal to import practices and lifestyles that are alien to Africa and seek to impose them as laws in African countries, all in the name of observing the so-called international obligations. You cannot stay in Washington D.C. and dictate to African countries how they should enact their laws. If Nigeria and African countries do not dictate to the US the type of laws they should enact, why should the US usurp the sovereignty of Nigeria and African countries to dictate to them the kinds of laws they should enact?

The Nigerian government, parents, churches, mosques, censorship institutions, and all stakeholders must come together now to put a stop to the sexualization and homosexualization of our children. Enough is enough. Indoctrinating children into LGBTQ+, transgender, abortion, and so-called safe-sex lifestyles under any pretext is criminal.

Nigeria must remain resolute with its anti-gay law. We have the right as a sovereign country to decide for ourselves the kind of laws we can enact for our own good. A country without identity is a misshapen country. We should reject anything that compromises our territorial sovereignty. The European Union and other foreign countries have no right to interfere in the way we run our country or enact our laws.

  • Same-sex marriage will never happen in Ghana under my watch – Akufo-Addo

Same-sex marriage will never happen in Ghana under my watch – Akufo-Addo

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has declared that same-sex marriage will never happen during his tenure.

He said this at the installation program for an Anglican Archbishop held in Mampong on Saturday.

”I have said this before, and let me stress again that it will not be under the Presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo that same-sex marriage will be legalised in Ghana.

“It will never happen. Let me repeat; it will never happen,” he said to the cheering audience.

Simi apologizes over comment on LGBTQ

Afro-pop singer, Simi has apologized to the LGBTQ community in Nigeria for the discriminating comment she made during her show.

LGBTQ is an acronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer.

TheNewsGuru recalls that earlier this year, Simi made a comment on how homosexuality is unnatural on her YouTube show, ‘Stoopid Sessions’.

“They say they’re born that way, but I haven’t seen any biological proof,” she had said.

The ‘Duduke’ sensation, however, apologized on Monday via Twitter for the comments after it caused a storm among her fans.
