EPL: Salah reveals player that will help Liverpool this season

Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah, has backed his teammate Roberto Firmino to enjoy pick-up form and eventually have a good season at Liverpool this season.

Asked to make comments on Firmino’s form and he said that Firmino would fix many things for the Liverpool squad this season.

” Firmino would fix many things for the Liverpool squad this season, he’s a great player that can be relied on”

Firmino has been a key part of Liverpool since manager Jurgen Klopp moved to Anfield back in 2015.

However, the 30-year-old Brazilian appears to have fallen down the pecking order at Liverpool following the recent arrivals of forwards Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Salah said, “Bobby [Firmino] is going to be back and I’m sure he’s going to fix a lot of things.”

Liverpool have suffered injuries to key players this season.

The French defender also predicted other EPL games for week 3

Evra told BetFair: “Conte will be so disappointed with their performance last time out against Chelsea, and he will be making sure they do everything to win at home.

“Wolves have only taken one point so far from their two matches and they look like they need a bit more time to get going. I can only see Spurs winning this one.
    “Prediction 2-0.”

In Saturday’s late kick-off, Arsenal are looking to continue their perfect start to the season, after picking up two wins from two matches.

  • EPL: My players not playing to capacity – Jurgen Klopp

EPL: My players not playing to capacity – Jurgen Klopp

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his side posted a below-average performance in their friendly loss to Austrian side RB Salzburg.

Liverpool have now lost two friendly pre-season games, against Manchester United and RB Salzburg, and won two against Crystal Palace and Leipzig.

Meanwhile, Klopp is not happy that his boys are not playing according to instructions.

Klopp named an inexperienced side against Salzburg, with Luis Diaz, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah introduced at the hour mark with the Reds a goal down. The Reds were unable to find an equalizer.

The focus now shifts to Wembley, though the Liverpool boss has warned his players there is plenty to improve.

“First half we made too many mistakes, which they could use,” Klopp told the club’s official website.

“We had good moments as well, we could have scored obviously in the whole game like four or five goals at least. Didn’t do that because we were in the first half – if you want to talk about football – we were too open, we were too wide, and we were not connected enough in moments when you lose the ball.

“Then everything is open, it’s like a motorway, and with their speed, that’s how they had their chances, especially when you lose simple passes where nobody can react really.”

He added: “We played the game out of full training. We had to make a lot of changes – that’s fine, I take that. But what I can say: it’s at least average to lose a game.”

Darwin Nunez started the match but was unable to find the kind of goalscoring touch he produced against RB Leipzig when he scored four goals in a half.

Liverpool’s big-money signing has come under a lot of scrutiny in pre-season, but Klopp defended the striker for his quiet display up against the Salzburg defense.

“Darwin was much too often alone,” Klopp said. “Everybody dropped, everybody was involved in the build-up but too wide and we could only pass the ball to Darwin in the box.

“He had his moments and nearly scored, but he needs much more support around him.”

  • Real reasons I left Liverpool for Bayern – Sadio Mane

Departing Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has admitted his heart was already in Bayern Munich the moment his agent told him about the interest.

The Bayern Munich  forward has now completed a medical, bringing to an end a six-year stint at Anfield.

Mane joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2016.

Mane made his intentions to leave Liverpool known towards the end of last season.

According to media reports, Mane is expected to earn about 250,000 pounds weekly at Bayern Munich.

Bayern have finally reached an agreement on a deal which will see them pay an initial £27.1million for the Senegalese talisman.

The fee could rise to £35.1m and although neither club have officially announced the transaction, he has been spotted in Bayern gear and completed his first interview with reporters in the country he will now ply his trade in.

“When my agent first told me about Bayern’s interest, I was immediately excited.

“I saw myself there right away. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world and the team is always fighting for every title. So for me it was a very good idea and the right decision to come here.

“My agent told me that there were enquiries from other clubs. But I got the feeling right away when Bayern presented their plan to me. I found myself in Bayern’s plan more than anyone else,” Mane told BILD.

  • Revenge comment is Salah’s position not the team – Sadio Mane

Liverpool forward, Sadio Mane has distanced himself and the entire team from the ‘Revenge’ comment made by Salah ahead of the UCL Final billed for Saturday May 28th in Paris.

The Egyptian has, on more than one occasion, spoken about his desire to have revenge when the sides meet again this weekend.

In his reaction, Mane has said that the Revenge comment was entirely that of Salah and not the position of the team.

According to Mane, he alongside every other member of the team would love to approach the game as just a UCL final.

Speaking ahead of the Reds’ trip to the French capital, the Senegalese international said (via Goal): “This is special, Salah. This is Salah, not us. For sure, he said it, but for me, it’s just a game like all other games, which will be very, very difficult, and we expect it because (Real Madrid are) one of the best teams in the world.

“We have been there already, so I know that we will be ready for it. We’ll do everything possible to win the game.”

Sunday Oliseh blasts Klopp over anti-Tottenham comments

Former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has blasted Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp over his comments on Tottenham after the 1-1 draw in an encounter on Saturday.

Klopp was aggravated that Liverpool didn’t win as this posed a setback in their quadruple challenge.

Speaking after the game, Klopp hit out at Tottenham for their style of play, insisting: “I don’t like this kind of football.

“I’m sorry; I am the wrong person to ask about [Tottenham’s defending] because I don’t like this kind of football. But that is my personal problem. I think they’re world-class and I think they should do more for the game.”

However, his comments have received heavy criticism from Oliseh, who said the German failed to find the key to win against Spurs with the hugely gifted players in his possession.

“Disappointing with all due respect to Klopp,” Oliseh wrote on Twitter on Sunday.

“There are different ways of playing football; one should always respect the opponent’s style. Up to him to find the key to win with the hugely gifted players in his possession. Football will be boring if we all played the same way.”

He said the Premier League is a busy one where adjustment are rarely made to fixtures.

In a joking manner Guardiola then said that coaches could take jobs in the “Maldives League” if they are unhappy with the schedule.
