I didn’t get the love at Man Utd – Pogba

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba admits he did not get the love he wanted at the Premier League club, Manchester United.

The France international left United for the Serie A side for a second time in his career last summer.

He recalled to Views magazine: “When I left Manchester, I was young. And when you’re young, you want to prove something. I came to Juve, to a fairly young Italian club, it was a big test for me. But I immediately saw the love of the supporters.

“I saw the love of the club. I really liked how they worked and learned a lot. I went back to Manchester because I hadn’t finished my work there. I said to myself ‘I really want to play with the A’s [the first team]’. I did it and it was a goal achieved for me.

“We have already won, not the Premier League, but titles that Manchester have not won for a long time. And I came back to Juve, why? Because it’s really the club that helped me push myself.

“And really the love from the fans, the love from the club that I get, I didn’t get that in Manchester. I was quite surprised when I came back to England, already with the transfer I was given a label. It was quite sad.

“But it’s two clubs that I really love, that made me grow and I can only say thank you to these two clubs. Maybe I could have gone to other clubs, but it was my heart that chose those clubs and I often follow my heart.”

I know Ten Hag charmed by my brother – Amrabat

Fiorentina star Sofyan Amrabat’s brother Nordin has stated that his sibling will only move to a top club this summer.

The Italian outfit are reeling after losing the Europa Conference League final to West Ham.

While Amrabat may be licking his wounds from that game, he will also be giving consideration to his future.

Nordin Amrabat, the former Watford midfielder, told ESPN about his brother: “He wants to go to the top, you are not going to trade Italy for the middle bracket of the Premier League.

“At Barcelona, he is high on the list but you know Barca’s financial situation.

“Of course you never know, it will be a strong competition when you see which names are going.

“But my brother now has the intention to play in the top, preferably in Spain or England, I think.

“Ten Hag is now looking for a striker, he wants that first. From there he will see what is possible.

“But I know that Ten Hag is charmed by my brother, he broke through under him and they have a good relationship, so who knows.”

  • FA Cup: Players must believe they can beat City – Ten Hag

FA Cup: Players must believe they can beat City – Ten Hag

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says winning the FA Cup final should be enough motivation for players today.

United can also stop Manchester City from winning the Treble.

But Ten Hag says: “I know what is the thinking from the fans but what we want is to restore Manchester United by winning trophies so we have an opportunity to win a trophy and we don’t want to be distracted by anything.

“If it is important for the fans it is important for us so we will give everything to win the Cup. But it is not about stopping them.

“Because it is not necessary. It will not give more motivation for the team because for their motivation is already enough – it can’t be more.

“They want to win a Cup and they have an opportunity. They want to set a crown of the season so what do you need more? What is more motivation?”

This season United lost 6-3 at City before winning 2-1 in January.

Ten Hag added: “You learn from that defeat but you learn from the win as well but I can’t say afterwards that I learn something from that game so we won the second game – I don’t think so.

“What was the difference between those results? The belief. In the Etihad we didn’t show belief. In Old Trafford we were determined to win this game from the first moment on. It is up to us that we show the same belief.”

FA Cup: No distractions facing Man Utd in final – Guardiola

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says they’ll throw everything at Manchester United in today’s FA Cup final.

City have the Champions League final in a week’s time.

But Guardiola says: “They know that these players will give everything to beat Manchester United.

“The consequence of the result, who knows it? I don’t know it. I don’t think Erik ten Hag knows it.

“But enjoy the moment. Tonight, when the people travel and tomorrow, unfortunately there’s still the strikes with the train, enjoy it and enjoy the same next week for the next final to see their team. It’s the best way.

“You have to understand it’s a football game. Everything can happen. And we are going to do everything, everything we can do to win against United.

“I understand completely for the City fans, who were in their shadow for decades, we are playing the first time in our history the FA Cup against them. For them, too, the first time. So we will try to do the best game as possible.

“United in the FA Cup final deserves our full attention and commitment.”

Why Fernandes and I often argue – Casemiro

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro says he and Bruno Fernandes have a rock-solid relationship.

The pair have been seen this season regularly arguing in games.

But Casemiro, ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final, said: “I have a very good relationship with Bruno, we get on really well, and as you get to know him as a player, I can say this with complete confidence, he is one of the most important players at the club and everyone sees what a great player he is.

“We could spend all day talking about how good Bruno is because he is a fantastic player but to be honest and I say this to him, I expect a great deal from him because in my eyes, he’s one of the most important players in the team.

“So, when he misses a chance, when one of his passes goes astray, we always want him to do everything perfectly but these are normal conversations.

“I’ve never had an argument with Bruno, the opposite in fact, I just always demand a lot from him, and he demands a lot from me too.

“Behind the scenes too, sometimes we’ll say to each other, ‘You could have scored, you could have done better there, because you’ve got the quality to do it’.”

  • Ten Hag wants face-to-face talks with Mount

Ten Hag wants face-to-face talks with Mount

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is confident that he can convince Mason Mount to sign for the club.

The Chelsea attacking midfielder has only one year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

With contract talks at a standstill, Mount is set to leave the club this summer.

Per The Telegraph, the 24-year-old is emerging as a key option for United this summer.

The Red Devils believe Mount can ease the offensive burden on their midfielders, while adding more of the pressing and tenacity that Ten Hag demands from his players.

Chelsea are said to want around £85 million for their homegrown superstar.

However, United are going to bid in the range of £55 million, given Mount’s contract situation.

  • Fringe players key for victory over Fulham – Maguire

Fringe players key for victory over Fulham – Maguire

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire believes his side put in a positive display on the last day of the Premier League season.

A slightly rotated Red Devils side saw Maguire get a rare start this term, as Fulham took an early initiative in the game.

However, United rallied after a David De Gea penalty save to score twice through Jadon Sancho and Bruno Fernandes to win the game and secure third spot in the league.

“We have a lot of competition for places and that’s what a big club needs – strength in depth,” Maguire told MUTV at full-time.

“I think you’ve seen today, after the first 20 minutes it was a really positive performance from the lads who stepped in, the lads who haven’t played as much.

“I think the manager and his staff can rely upon us, they know they can make changes and we can do the job.

“It’s good to be a part of the squad and if we’re going to be successful this season, next season, and seasons after that, we’re going to need a big squad.”

Ten Hag willing to clearout 13 Man Utd senior players

Manchester United captain Harry Maguire could be one of 13 players to leave the club this summer.

The England star is one of many who manager Erik Ten Hag will look to move on to refresh his squad.

The Red Devils want to bring in a top class center forward, a younger striker, a central midfielder, and possibly a center-back.

Per The Mail, Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Fred, Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, Anthony Elanga and Brandon Williams are the others being linked with United exits.

While all these players are not likely to leave, many may be sold to make way for new players.

Maguire is one who is near certain to leave, as the tall defender wants to play regular first team football.

  • Ten Hag targets win against Chelsea for top 4 finish

Ten Hag targets win against Chelsea for top 4 finish

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says his team has improved over the season.

United need a point from their last two games of the season secure Champions League qualification.

Ahead of facing Chelsea tomorrow, Ten Hag said: “First we have to win the game tomorrow and get the job done. Then it’s about the judgement from others, if it’s a good performance or bad performance or a normal performance.

“We are in a project and we want to go back and win trophies. We win one trophy but we want to win more trophies. We want to compete with the best but we are still in a journey. We are still in a journey, but we think we are in the right direction. But we can always be better because good is not good enough.

“We want to compete with the best and then you have to be in the Champions League. So (it is) simple.

“In the Premier League you have to qualify yourself to be in the first four. That’s not easy because there are many competing for it. Many think they should be in and we are one of them.”
