Paul Pogba attacks Manchester United coach Ralf Ragnick

France international and Manchester united midfielder Paul Pogba has attacked interim boss,Ralf Ragnick for playing him out of position at the club.

Pogba also claims that he has wasted 5 years from his career playing at Manchester United, saying another season is dead.

Pogba’s contract expires this season as he’s about to be a free agent as talks to renew has continued to hit the rocks.

The likes of PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid are all interested in signing him as a free agent.

The midfielder was a serial title winner at Juventus, and won the World Cup with France.

After saying he intends to ‘catch up’ on his barren years at United, Pogba told Le Figaro: “You have to be honest, the last five seasons have not satisfied me – really not at all.

“This year it is dead, we won’t win anything. Whether it is with Manchester United or at another club, I want to win trophies.”

Speaking about his manager, Rangnick, Pogba said, “It’s simple with France, I play and I play in my position – I know my role and I feel the confidence of the coach and the players,’ he continued.

“It’s normal to feel a difference at Manchester United because it’s hard to be consistent when you often have a change to your position, or the team system, or your partners.

“I get along very well with [France boss Didier Deschamps], he gave me a role that I know, but at Manchester United, do I really have a role? I ask the question but I don’t have an answer.”

Pogba’s next destination still unknown as plot to have him sign new contract has not yeilded any positive result.

  • EPL: I want to prove some people wrong – Van de Beek

EPL: I want to prove some people wrong – Van de Beek

Everton midfielder Donny van de Beek has had a pop at parent club Manchester United.

Van de Beek was unable to play regularly at Old Trafford after arriving from Ajax in the summer of 2020, and was allowed to leave temporarily to gain more minutes.

He was identified by boss Frank Lampard as a key target in the winter window and, after enjoying a good spell since penning his deal, is now keen to kick on.

Asked if he has a point to prove, Van de Beek told the club programme: “Yes, but it is also for everyone around me.

“If I play well, I do it for them, for my girlfriend and for my family and friends.

“I want to give joy to those people. And to the fans. Then I want to do it for myself. Of course, sometimes I am disappointed and frustrated.

“But I always try to stay positive and believe there will be a day it will change.

“I can only change it with hard work, I want to show that some people are wrong and I still have the quality to play – I always aim to do this.”

  • Cristiano Ronaldo eyes more accolades, sets retirement date

Cristiano Ronaldo eyes more accolades, sets retirement date

Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo feels he can play another five years.

The 37-year-old superstar says he is looking to “win more things” before eventually hanging up his boots for good in “four to five years” time.

Speaking to DAZN, Ronaldo said: “It’s hard to say that I don’t want more, because if I’m at a club that gives me the opportunity to win more things, why not?

“And in the national team too. I know I don’t have many years left playing, four or five more, we’ll see, and I want to win more things.

“You have to be intelligent and know that at 18, 20 or 25 you are not the same as at 35. And that is the maturity, the experience, the intelligence to understand that maybe you lose some things to win others and have the right balance to continue competing and be at the highest level.”

Ronaldo – who scored 15 goals in 29 games for United in all competitions – has refused to admit he is past his best.

When asked about the criticism he has received, Ronaldo said: “I show year after year that the numbers speak for themselves. I don’t have to tell you that I’m very good, because the numbers are there.

“The facts are facts, the rest is not It doesn’t matter at all. That’s why I’m very happy with my form, I’m still scoring goals, helping people, teams, both in the national team and at Manchester United and that’s why I want to continue like this.”

  • Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on Manchester United Radar

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on Manchester United Radar

Manchester United are reportedly ramping up their pursuit of soon-to-be out of contract Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.

The 28-year-old colossal centre half is heading into the final four months of his current deal at Chelsea and looks no closer to penning new terms

European giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked and now United are keen to swoop in and get one of their Premier League rivals’ stars for free, according to The Mirror.

United are in need of defensive reinforcements after conceding 34 league goals so far this season – only West Ham and Southampton have conceded the same or more among teams in the top 10.

Captain and centre back Harry Maguire has come under heavy criticism for his below-par performances this campaign, while Raphael Varane has endured an injury-hit first season in England.

Sportsmail revealed earlier this month that Rudiger, who pockets around £100,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge, rebuffed Chelsea’s latest offer of around £140,000-per-week to commit his future to the Blues.

It is believed the west London club did informally put a deal of around £200,000 per week down on the table but the offer still missed the mark.

Both LaLiga giants Real and French powerhouse PSG have already made Ruidger pre-contract approaches and he knows he can increase his salary to £400,000 a week should he leave on a Bosman transfer.

That financial incentive is proving a stumbling block for Chelsea, who have made it clear they want the defender to stay, and are hopeful they can tie him down to a new deal.

United have been monitoring Rudiger’s contract situation with Rangnick, who is set to move upstairs in a consultancy role following his interim spell, a huge admirer of his compatriot.

  • Why Manchester United will sack Rangnick – Merson

Why Manchester United will sack Rangnick – Merson

Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, would be sacked if the club does not finish in the Premier League top-four position this season.

This was disclosed by Arsenal legend, Paul Merson.

It would be recalled that Rangnick came under fire in recent weeks, with Man United putting in a number of underwhelming performances – including an FA Cup defeat at Old Trafford to Middlesbrough.

One-hundred percent Rangnick won’t be in charge of Man Utd next season

The German also watched as his team failed to beat Southampton in a Premier League tie on Saturday after playing a 1-1 draw.

The result against Southampton means Man United is now in the 5th position on the Premier League table with 40 points from 24 matches.

Merson said: “One-hundred percent Rangnick won’t be in charge of Man Utd next season. I have got as much chance of being in charge. I just don’t see it.

“I read something that said they have improved. I don’t see that. I don’t see happiness there. I hear so much coming out of Man Utd, at the moment, which is just extraordinary. It never happened before and that is my worry.

“I don’t see him being there and the way it’s going at the moment, if they don’t get in the top four, I would be shocked if he went upstairs. I know that was part of the deal, but I don’t think it is a good thing. I think this needs to be nipped in the bud sooner rather than later at Manchester United.

“I would have had someone in as soon as possible. You pay £70m to £80m for football players and some of them don’t even play. Why would you not break the bank for managers if you need to get a manager out of a club? In my opinion, they are very important.”

Man Utd forward won’t train or play ‘until further notice’

Mason Greenwood will not train or play for Manchester United until further notice, the English Premier League (EPL) club said on Sunday.

Manchester United issued a statement after police confirmed they were making enquiries when the England forward was accused of being violent towards a woman.

Police said they were “aware of images and videos circulating on social media” and were looking to “establish the full circumstances.”

A statement from Manchester United read: “Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice.”

The images and allegations were reportedly visible on the woman’s Instagram.

The posts have since been deleted.

  • Donny van de Beek rejects Newcastle loan move

Donny van de Beek rejects Newcastle loan move

Manchester United star Donny van de Beek does not want to go on loan to Newcastle United.

The Magpies reportedly made an attempt to secure the Dutchman this month.

However, The Telegraph is reporting that van de Beek turned down the move, as he is unsure about the current situation at Newcastle.

The Dutch midfielder may not be eager to place himself in a relegation dogfight.

Van de Beek may also be hoping he gets more chances to show interim coach Ralf Rangnick his worth at Man United during the second half of this season.

  • Moutinho fires Wolves to first win at Old Trafford since 1980

Moutinho fires Wolves to first win at Old Trafford since 1980

Joao Moutinho fired Wolves to a first win at Old Trafford since 1980 as Ralf Rangnick’s unbeaten start to life as Manchester United’s interim manager came to an end.

The Red Devils finished 2021 with a much-needed home win against Burnley.

But the new year got off to a terrible start as their sloppy, disjointed display was punished by Bruno Lage’s impressive visitors.

Wolves had not played for 15 days due to coronavirus-related postponements.

But they showed few signs of rust at Old Trafford, where Mourinho struck late on to secure a deserved 1-0 win.

Wolverhampton Wanderers had failed to win in their last 10 league games at Manchester United and it looked like that run might continue.

This was after they failed to score in a one-sided first half in which they managed an eye-watering 15 shots.

Phil Jones, making his first appearance in 708 days, was one of the few to impress for Manchester United.

They belatedly showed flickers of life after Rangnick’s decision to take off lively attacker Mason Greenwood was booed.

Replacement Bruno Fernandes struck the bar and then sent over a free-kick which Cristiano Ronaldo directed home from an offside position.

But Romain Saiss also hit the woodwork from a free-kick and Wolves found a way through in the 82nd minute.

That was when Moutinho controlled a clearance and hit a low drive past David De Gea to send the travelling hordes into raptures.

There was a similarly impressive roar at the final whistle after goalkeeper Jose Sa superbly saved Fernandes stoppage-time free-kick to seal victory.

  • Newcastle frustrate Man United’s top four hopes

Newcastle frustrate Man United’s top four hopes

Edinson Cavani spared Manchester United’s blushes on their return from a coronavirus hiatus as the Uruguayan rescued a 1-1 draw at struggling Newcastle on Monday.

Ralf Rangnick’s side trailed to Allan Saint-Maximin’s eye-catching early goal and were out-played for long periods at St James’ Park.

But Cavani came off the bench to bag his first goal since October in the second half, ensuring Rangnick avoided his first defeat in four games as United’s interim manager.

United remain in seventh place in the Premier League, seven points behind fourth placed Arsenal with two games in hand.

Rangnick had won his first two league games since taking over from the axed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but neither performance was especially convincing and this was another underwhelming effort.

United did have the excuse of the Covid outbreak that forced them into a 16-day period of inactivity since they won 1-0 at Norwich on December 11.

Their games against Brentford and Brighton were postponed, with the club’s training ground shut for four days.

But regardless of the coronavirus chaos, Rangnick will know United must improve dramatically if they are to secure a top four finish.

Second bottom Newcastle ended a three-game losing streak, leaving them two points from safety after the most encouraging display of Eddie Howe’s eight-match reign.

However, the sight of Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson limping off with injuries was a major blow for Howe, who has won just once since replacing the sacked Steve Bruce.

Although their Covid situation has improved, United still weren’t able to return a completely clean bill of health after Sweden defender Victor Lindelof tested positive on Sunday.

Raphael Varane returned from injury to replace Lindelof, but United looked rusty after their enforced lay-off and Newcastle took advantage to snatch a seventh minute lead.

Varane carelessly gifted possession to Sean Longstaff and he picked out Saint-Maximin.

The French winger showed his mesmerising dribbling ability as he shimmied past Diogo Dalot and Harry Maguire before steering a fierce strike past David De Gea from the edge of the area.

Newcastle were a real threat on the counter and Jonjo Shelvey broke from the halfway line for a 25-yard rocket that De Gea pushed away.

United struggled to make any impact in the first half, their lethargy encapsulated a Cristiano Ronaldo miskick that drew a mocking roar of delight from the Gallowgate End.

The visitors were creaking and Wilson had the ball in the net from the inspired Saint-Maximin’s pass, only for an offside flag to curtail the striker’s celebrations.

Rangnick responded by sending on Sancho and Cavani for Fred and Greenwood at half-time.

Crucially, Saint-Maximin should have scored with a close-range effort that lacked the power to beat De Gea.

United finally began to emerge from their shell and Marcus Rashford’s dipping shot forced a tip over from Martin Dubravka.

Cavani wasted a good chance from Sancho’s pass and Ronaldo’s frustrations boiled over as he was booked for a reckless challenge on Ryan Fraser that had Newcastle baying for a red card.

Fraser nearly exacted immediate retribution with a stinging drive which De Gea saved at full stretch.

But United equalised in the 71st minute when Dalot’s cross reached Cavani and the Uruguay striker stabbed home at the second attempt after his first effort was blocked.

It was the 80th league goal conceded by Newcastle in 2021, the most of any Premier League team in a calendar year.

Cavani almost made it 81 moments later as his goalbound flick was hooked off the line by Jamaal Lascelles.

In a dramatic finale, Newcastle’s Jacob Murphy hit the post with a curler before Miguel Almiron’s strike forced a brilliant save from De Gea.
