The Hammers broke the deadlock after the first half of the encounter ended 0-0 as all efforts to score a goal proved abortive.

However, West Ham’s Bowen broke the deadlock  in the 72nd minute by tucking past Onana at the second attempt after a superb pass from Paqueta.

Six minute after, Ghanaian attacker, Kudus rounded off two defenders to fire home from the edge of the area to condemn United to another Premier League defeat.

EPL: Michael Owen predicts Liverpool v Manchester United clash

Former Liverpool and Manchester united star,  Michael Owen has predicted the scoreline of Sunday’s Premier League clash between Liverpool and Manchester United.

Owen, who also pitched his tent with Real Madrid at some points backed Jurgen Klopp’s side to beat the Red Devils 2-0.

Liverpool will host Man United in a Premier League tie at Anfield this weekend.

Man United head to the game after losing 3-0 against Bournemouth in their last Premier League tie, while Liverpool won Crystal Palace 2-1.

“I’d say Man Utd will be a little bit nervous about going to Anfield considering their recent form,” Owen told BoyleSports.

“My concern with Manchester United is that they will go to Anfield and lose 2-0, then a few players will be relieved that it wasn’t a 5-0 embarrassment! If I were them, I would pick a way of playing, stick to it, and then hope to get better.

“I’d say 2-0 to Liverpool. It will be a reasonably comfortable win. Look at how the two teams are playing at the moment!”

EPL: Bournemouth thrash Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford

Manchester United on Saturday afternoon suffered a heavy loss 3-0 at home to Bournemouth just three days after a huge Chelsea win at the same venue.

Dominic Solanke put the visitors in front inside five minutes and, while United initially threatened an immediate response, the Cherries were a constant threat on the counter.

James Tavernier had a goal ruled out for the visitors, while Solanke was denied a second by the post as United repeatedly gave the ball away.

Philip Billing rose highest at the back post and towered over Luke Shaw as he nodded in a second of the afternoon, as the Red Devils were again cut open too easily.

And Marcos Senesi completed the rout late on in the  68th minute of the second half putting Erik ten Hag under pressure once again.

But they never looked like doing so on a miserable afternoon for Ten Hag and his players, the club lurching swiftly back into crisis mode with a dismal performance that was greeted with a chorus of boos from those who stayed to hear the final whistle.

An impressive midweek win over Chelsea had seemingly lifted the mood at Old Trafford, and meant United had the chance to draw level on points with rivals Manchester City with victory over the Cherries.

However, reverse was the case as Bournemouth against all odds snatched victory at the expense of the Reds at Old Trafford.

  • EPL: Report shows Casemiro ‘regrets’ joining Manchester United

EPL: Report shows Casemiro ‘regrets’ joining Manchester United

Brazil and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro ‘regrets’ joining Manchester United from Real Madrid, a report has shown.

The Brazilian moved to Old Trafford from Real Madrid in a big-money move last summer and made a huge impression under Erik ten Hag in his debut season, helping United to a top-four finish and Carabao up glory.

However, the defensive midfielder hasn’t replicated his last season form so far in the 2023/24 season.

Casemiro has struggled for form this season, with opposition managers deliberately targeting him.

It has now emerged that Casemiro ‘regrets’ making the move from Spain.

It is understood that his time at United could be “short-lived”, with the 31-year-old concerned over “institutional instability” at the club.

United are also “not happy with” Casemiro and are interested in signing Joao Neves from Benfica as a replacement.

However, they could make a formal bid for Neves, which might led to Casemiro’s future being evaluated in the summer.

United are unlikely to sell Casemiro in January given the fact he is still under contract until 2026.

Manchester United have struggled for form this season as they have only managed to gather 15 points from 9 matches.

  • EPL: Ten Hag sends strong warning to Onana ahead Sheffield United clash

EPL: Ten Hag sends strong warning to Onana ahead Sheffield United clash

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has advised number 1 shot stopper, Andre Onana to step up his game ahead of match day  10 premier league clash with Sheffield United.

Onana has had a shaky start to life at Manchester United after conceding at least a goal per match.

Ten Hag brought in Onana this summer to replace David de Gea as United’s no.1 after the Spaniard’s contract expired.

The Cameroon international joined in a £47.2million deal from Inter.

But despite receiving praise for his distribution, Onana has come under fire after mistakes against Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and Brentford.

And Ten Hag is adamant that Onana will start to show more consistency.

“‘For Andre, it is good to know, from that little bit of history, but also we live now and we live in the future. He has to make his future by making better performances.

“I’m sure he will do that and he has already shown that so many times in big clubs like Barcelona, when he was young. At Ajax, he was in the semi-final of the Champions League. He was in the final of the Champions League [last season with Inter],” Ten Hag said.

  • EPL: British billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to acquire Manchester United

EPL: British billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to acquire Manchester United

British Billionaire, Sir Jim Ratcliffe is set  to acquire a 25 per cent shareholding from the Glazers, who own 69 per cent of Manchester United.

Manchester United’s takeover is likely to be finalized this week after Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani withdrew from the race to buy the club from the Glazer family.

It was learned that Ratcliffe will cough out a whopping sum of between £1.3 billion and £1.5 billion for the stake despite Manchester United’s current market value at around £2.6 billion.

It is understood that Ratcliffe was “more savvy in his deal execution” than rival bidder, Sheikh Jassim, who wanted a full takeover of the Premier League club from their American owners, the Glazer family.

Recall that the Glazer family bought Manchester United for £790 million in 2005 in a highly leveraged deal that has been criticized for loading debt on to the club.

Man United have won 13 trophies, including five Premier League titles and a Champions League win in 2008 since the Glazers took over the club. They lost two Champions League finals, both against Barcelona, in 2009 and 2011.

The Glazer family have only spent £94million on improving infrastructure at the club in the last decade, according to financial analyst Kieran Maguire, who revealed this some few months ago.

“The Glazers have been in charge for many years. Personally, I would prefer a full takeover but so far they are not ready to exit the club.

“If the Glazers would not interfere and allow Ratcliffe run sporting matters, I believe it would go a long way to change the club’s fortunes both on and off the pitch. I think the time for change has come. Ratcliffe is British and he understands the club’s supporters. He would have an impact on the fans, the players, coaching staff and manager.

“He would also bring that stability that seems to be lacking at Old Trafford at the moment. Man United need to get the off-field talk back on the pitch just like in Sir Alex Ferguson’s era. The fans want good results on the pitch.

“They [Man United] will always be one of the biggest clubs in the world. Meanwhile, the Glazers have not done a bad job because the club is still successful on the field and off the field, but for me. I think now is the right time for somebody else to take over and I believe Ratcliffe would have a good impact on the club, sporting-wise.”

When asked whether the Sheikh Jassim’s deal would have been a better contract for Man United, Smart added, “Yes to some extent, I believe Jassim’s deal would be able to clear the club’s debt, make major structural changes both off and on the pitch and also invest a lot of money in the club.

“But one of my concerns is that can he bring the right people to manage the club’s sporting activities that would bring Man United in the spot-light again as one of the best clubs in the world?

“Also, Jassim’s deal would have been a big deal for the Glazers, but like I said earlier the American owners still wanted a stake in the club.

“However, I also believe that if given full control of sporting matters, Ratcliffe would do a better job because Man United requires leadership that enables a fairer, more inclusive and diverse game.

“They need leadership that builds a positive environment and culture at the same time as adhering to the club’s principles.

“They also need someone that is willing to make tough decisions to prevent an erosion in the club’s public image and Ratcliffe is capable of offering these things to the club.”
