  • [Photos] Despite owing salaries, Gov Yahaya Bello of Kogi unveils palatial mansion

    While workers, pensioners Kogi State are languishing in the plentitude of sufferings as a result of emoluments owed them for long months, the story is different for Governor Yahaya Bello, who administers the state.

    Unperturbed by the many criticisms that beleaguer his administration, Gov Bello unveiled a palatial mansion for himself on Mahmoud Atta street, GRA Okene.

    Recall that whuile the house was under construction in August, some residents of the exclusive residential area complained that the governor converted the street entrance to his private gate.

    But Bello carried on with the project, at the time, Kingsley Fanwo, spokesman of the governor, said his principal had made a better provision for the affected residents.

    Among top dignitaries who were present at the occasion include Abdul Rahman Ado Ibrahim, Ohinoyi of Ebira land, joined the governor during the house-warming ceremony.

  • EFCC seals Maina’s $2m mansion in Abuja

    Operatives of the Economic and Finance Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday stormed the $2 million mansion belonging to the sacked Director at the Ministry of Interior, Abdulrasheed Maina.

    The building at No. 10 Hamisu Musa Road, Jabi, was cordoned off this afternoon by police officers providing cover to an EFCC operative who was marking the house in red.

    According to a report by Premium Times, another of Mr. Maina’s houses located at No. 12, Road 11, Kado Estate is also billed for similar exercise. The whereabouts of Mr. Maina himself, are unknown.

    President Muhammadu Buhari ordered Maina’s sack and called for an investigation into how he was recalled into the civil service despite being on the wanted list of the EFCC.

    Afro-pop star, Davido is no doubts living the dreams of people who are far older than him. The multiple award -winning singer recently took to his Instagram page to announce that he is ready to move into his new mansion in Lekki.

    He puts it this way:” My crib complete, big ups!”

    However, his fans have taken to the comment section of Davido’s page to express their opinion towards Davido’s new mansion.

    A certain Queen wrote:”Making sense,I dey come collect one room o @davidoofficial“

    Another fan an observation:” Thought the entrance could be a little bolder..but overall great house”

    Ameh Hapiness said:” Congratulation,more greater things to come, but biko wash am 4 us nah,make me to chop from dis greatness @davidoofficial”

     

    In January 2016, Davido announced via Twitter that he signed a record deal with Sony Music.

    His announcement was met with mixed reactions. The record label put out a press release to confirm the deal. Davido started his own label, Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), few months after signing with Sony. Dremo and Mayorkun are currently signed to the label. In July 2016, Davido signed a record deal with Sony’s RCA Records.

    Self- proclaimed Omo Baba Olowo, Davido has added another feather to his cap. The pop star recently showed off pictures of his newly completed mansion on Snapchat, saying he can’t wait to move into the edifice.

    Recall that the singer had stated that his Lekki phase 1 house is well known, complaining that many upcoming artistes and well-wishers who want money, usually stay outside his gate for hours until they’re attended to.
