They should go and compete with my children. I raised my children in wealth. My children are citizens of America, citizens of the UK. I worked hard to get to that level. Kundus, kudos, what’s the difference? What do you want to hear? English is not my mother tongue, Yoruba is.”

The Ondo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of planning to collaborate with Musiliu Akinsanya, aka MC Oluomo, to compromise the legitimacy of the upcoming governorship election.
The party claimed that Aiyedatiwa was planning to use the influence of MC Oluomo to rig the election in his favour.
The opposition’s allegation was contained in a press statement signed by the spokesperson for the PDP’s campaign Organisation, Ayo Fadaka.
The PDP also claimed that the governor has been using the state’s security vote to fund violent activities and intimidate opponents.
The statement read in part: “Due cognisance has been accorded to deft moves by Gov Lucky Ayedatiwa to compromise the peace and tranquility of our dear State as we inch towards the November 16th gubernatorial election in Ondo State. Towards accomplishing these dastardly goals, some strategic steps have been taken, and we have clearly decoded them.
“We also note the visit to Ondo State last week of Mr Musiliu Akinsanya alias MC Oluomo, a Lagos-based APC enforcer who has played and continues to discharge terrible roles in compromising security/voting during elections in Lagos and South Western States during off-cycle elections.
“It is on record that Gov Ayiedatiwa rolled out the carpet to host him. Unconfirmed reports indicate that this fellow was gifted $1million at the end of his suspicious visit to Ondo State.
“We also note that a couple of APC members in Ondo East, Snr Apostle Akinmejiwa Olusola, Alhaji Adesina Salami, Akintunde Temitope Olainukan and others, aware of the murderous intent and capacity of their leaders briefed their Lawyers, Messrs Kuewunmi, Iluyemi & Co. to raise alarm and report to the police sundry threats to their lives by Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly simply because they accused him of stealing palliatives sent by the Federal Government, allocated to their Ondo East Local Government and the sum of N2.5million.
“Thus we take serious view that there exist a high propensity for the perpetration of violence in the APC, Ondo State, to the extent that stalwarts in the Party decided to immediately take action against their leaders, to safeguard their lives from being terminated unceremoniously underscores our conclusions to that effect.
“Arising from (4) above, we recall that during the governorship primary election which produced Lucky Ayiedatiwa as Candidate of the APC, violence, intimidation of opponents and their supporters was the order of the day.
“Many were seriously wounded, almost decapitated and crippled, thus we firmly wish to put on record that irresponsible attitudes of this nature must be eschewed in the forthcoming election in the interest of peace and progress of our State.
“That we reject any plan to engage Musiliu Akinsanya for any purpose in Ondo State, we note and seriously underscore that he is a harbinger of violence everywhere he goes.
“His roles in the last Osun State Governorship election are well documented, just as he was vanquished in that election, he will also be vanquished with consequences here if Ayiedatiwa decides to recruit him and his ragtag team for the purposes of rigging election here, a word, they say is enough for the wise.
“We abhor violence as a Party, and we encourage the APC to be prepared to play by the rules, as failure to do just that will attract dire consequences. We may appear civil, but hereby warn that our civility is not an act of weakness.”
The Ikeja High Court has ordered Nollywood actress, Mariam Muftaudeen, popularly known as Omo VC to stop defaming Chairman of the Lagos State Park Management Board, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo.
The order was given by Justice M. Dawodu after hearing a Motion Exparte marked filed by Akinsanya through his lawyer, Adedotun Ajulo.
In a Certified True Copy (CTC) of the proceedings dated March 14, Justice Dawodu said the order shall elapse after 21 days.
The suit sought, among others, to prevent Ms. Muftaudeen from further publishing allegedly defamatory videos or articles about MC Oluomo pending the determination of the case.
Following the commencement of proceedings on March 14, and after hearing Ajulo, Justice Dawodu granted the application.
He said: “The respondent is hereby restrained from further releasing defamatory videos and/or further publishing libelous articles against the applicant pending the hearing and determination of the applicant’s originating summons against the respondent. This order shall lapse after 21 days from the date of issue.
“Leave is hereby granted to the applicant to serve the Memorandum of Claim, and the Enrolled Order of the ruling of the Court delivered on March 14, 2024, on the respondent by substituted means through the Sheriff of the Court through the respondent’s WhatsApp Number, through her Instagram Handle; @omovc, and by publication in a national daily newspaper.”
It was gathered that Ms. Muftaudeen, in an Instagram post she made in February, accused Akinsanya of threatening her life and that of her daughter. She claimed to have a daughter with Akinsanya, alleging he failed to support and provide for the child’s welfare.
She also alleged that Akinsanya ordered his security personnel to shoot at her during a visit to his residence.
But Akinsanya denied knowledge of any child between them, saying they had separated about two years ago and he was unaware of any child until the recent claims surfaced.
He emphasised that such accusations were defamatory and politically motivated, especially given the upcoming elections within the transportation industry.
Nollywood actress, Maria Muftaudeen, popularly known as Omovc, has called out her baby daddy Musiliu Akinsanya, fondly called MC Oluomo, over alleged death threats.
Omovc, in an open letter via her Instagram page, gave instances MC Olumo had threatened to kill her, including ordering a police officer to shoot at her.
She claimed he has refused to take responsibility for the child who they share together and all attempts to file a legal case have proved abortive.
According to the actress, many solicitors did not want to take up the case over the fear of MC Oluomo and had also spoken with people close to him but it did not yield any results.
She added that MC Oluomo should be held responsible if anything happens to her or their child.
In a post via Instagram story, she wrote, “I know you are Tinubu’s boy, so you believe the world evolves around you, but there is one being who gives and takes.
“If anything bad happens to me or my daughter, hold MUSILIU AKINSANYA responsible.”
“It is no longer news to the public that our escapades provided a child, Zeenat Abebi. You made life unbearable for me not just during the pregnancy but even after the birth of Zeenat.
“All effort to reconcile with you and make you responsible was frustrated by you.
“I had no option than to reach out to people I believed you respect and love but nothing good came out of it. Instead, you result to threatening my life and that of the child physically and spiritually (I have some evidences of the physical if the spiritual attacks cannot be established in the law court).
“You lied to people that you gave me 20m Naira. Where? When? Through who? Just as I told those that confronted me, you should rather call out whoever you give such amount to though I believe you are lying.
“Not until my last visitation to your house, I’ve been responsible for this girl’s welfare. All you sent a third party was one million naira a week after I came to your house that you even instructed the police officer to shoot at me.
“All I ask from you is be responsible for her, stop coming after my life, still coming after my daughter’s life and leave out my fiance’s life too because he believe he is not safe with all that’s ongoing. I cannot drive freely on the highway without being attacked.
“All effort to go legal proved abortive because those I even believe their chamber would be respected are jittery. They back out of the case even before it commence.
“At this level of my life, at this stage of the event, I care less about tongue lash because it’s only the living that can be cyberbullied.
“Oluomo, don’t kill me or my daughter. You have lot of children but I have just this. Yes, you are powerful and influential but God is supreme.
“Be responsible for your daughter’s welfare. Stop sending people to attack me! Even if you have not killed me, you are already killing me
“My mental health is in a mess, my blood pressure rises everyday…. Because of you, I live in fear.”

Sharing the video of Kcee and E-Money meeting with MC Oluomo, he wrote, “MC Oluomo intimated Igbos in Lagos. Even led a campaign that resulted in physical assault on Igbos.

“Can someone help me understand this video we just watched? Am confused.”
The most influential “Agbero” of Lagos State and Chairman of the state’s Parks and Garages Association, Musiliu Akinsaya, popularly known as Mc Oluomo, has intervened in the conflict involving commercial drivers and highway tax collectors who target commercial drivers.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) recalls that commercial drivers had taken to the streets of the state to protest extortion by agberos on Thursday.
Reacting to the development, MC Oluomo banned collections of illegal taxes levied by agberos in some parts of the state, according to FIJ report.
“Mc Oluomo told us Thursday afternoon when we held a meeting with him at the state council that no driver from Oshodi to Tollgate must be compelled to pay illegal agbero taxes anymore.
“We are only to buy two tickets in a day, after which we will not pay anything aside from loading fees.
“The normal ticket sold and approved by the Lagos State Park Management is just N800.
“He said those extra taxes imposed at Iyana Ipaja and Agbado Ijaiye were no longer valid. We can either buy our daily tickets in Oshodi or Tollgate, and either will be recognised.
“Afterwards, we will buy the council ticket and booking for security, which is about N500,” a driver disclosed to FIJ.
He added that MC Oluomo has said the drivers would no longer pay for tickets on Saturdays and Sundays.
“For weekend jobs, Mc Oluomo has mandated that no driver should be made to buy tickets on Saturdays and Sundays,” he said.
“The union should only compel us to buy tickets from Monday to Friday. We should be given the chance to take something home to our families.”
He added that MC Oluomo also donated N1 million to those who were injured during the attack on protesting drivers
He expressed gladness as dreivers resume work today “with minimal agbero disturbances.”
“There are no more unbearable taxes. All we have to pay in a day is a little below N2,500 compared to the N20,000 we paid previously,” he added.
With over 22, 000 signatories to petitions asking the United States to place a travel ban on Musiliu Akinsanya aka Mc Oluomo, for inciting violence during the just concluded general elections in Nigeria, the U.S. may be poised for action.
According to a petition titled: “Musiliu Akinsanya aka Mc OluOmo incites violence and needs to be banned from the US”, which was filed on change.org by one Adewale Olanrewaju, Mc Oluomo was accused of making threats against voters of the Igbo ethnic extraction, resulting in violence and casualties.
The petition with 21,226 signatures out of the target 25, 000 as of 12:40pm on Wednesday March 29, was directed to the Department of Homeland Security.
“Akinsanya is believed to be a green card holder in the US and since the US government claims it is against any form of disruption in democratic processes around the world including Africa, then the US government needs to act on Akinsanya’s status in the US, and remove him for his contribution to the recent violence in Lagos,” said the petitioner who claimed to have “numerous” pieces of “evidence”.
Apart from the petition started by Olanrewaju, at least two other petitions – “Travel Ban to Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo” and “Terrorism: Arrest, Prosecute & Seize the assets & US Visa of MC OLUOMO & Family” – have been launched on the same platform by Stanley Aguzie and the Global Coalition Security Democracy.
While Aguzie’s petition with a target of 500 had gained 308 signatures, the petition by the Global Coalition Security Democracy has achieved 97 per cent of the target 1000 with 976 signatures, as of the time of reporting and was directed to the President of the United States, the US Mission in Nigeria, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of State Service, Nigeria.
Disturbing acts of violence taint Nigeria’s 2023 Elections
In a viral video which led to a public outcry, MC Oluomo who is also the Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee, was captured cautioning Igbo voters who would not cast their votes for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to stay in their homes or be met with resistance.
But he later dismissed the allegations of threats to the Igbos, saying he was addressing a lady called “Iya Chukwudi”, not the Igbo in Lagos.
Photo of MC Oluomo and his family with Governor of Georgia, Brian Kemp and his wife Marty Kemp.
The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force Adejobi Olumuyiwa, also reacting to the threat said it should be regarded as a joke, as nobody had the right to stop the people of Lagos from voting for the candidate of their choice.
Olumuyiwa stated: “I saw a video of MC Oluomo with one mama Chidinma – an Igbo woman debunking that threat, that it’s not true, it’s just a joke he was making with a particular woman. So, let us take it as a joke, like he said:”.
However, there were reports that the alleged threat was executed on election day and the US Mission in Nigeria also spoke out against what it described as the “disturbing” acts of violence, voter intimidation and suppression that marred the March 18 Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
In a post-election statement, the mission described the use of ethnically charged rhetoric before, during, and after the governorship election in Lagos as particularly concerning.
“Members of the U.S. diplomatic mission observed the elections in Lagos and elsewhere and witnessed some of these incidents first-hand.
“We call on Nigerian authorities to hold accountable and bring to justice any individuals found to have ordered or carried out efforts to intimidate voters and suppress voting during the election process,” the statement read in part.
The petitioners along with over 22, 000 signatories, have spoken out loud against the role played by MC Oluomo in the last election and want the US to lead by example and impose sanctions against individuals found culpable of frustrating the country’s democracy.
Success Rate of Online Petitions
Online petitions just like the paper versions help to build interest in an issue and can send a signal of public opinion to decision-makers.
Official petitions on the UK government’s website must reach 10,000 signatures before the authority responds to them, whereas in Nigeria there is no stipulated baseline. Sometimes despite obtaining large levels of support, a petition may still not make a long-lasting impact.
In 2019 for example, the petition to “Revoke Article 50 and remain in the E.U.”, broke the record for UK’s most signed petition with more than 6 million signatures by 31 March. Unfortunately, this did not stop Britain from exiting the European Union on 31st January 2020.
The UK government responded, noting: “The government acknowledges the considerable number of people who have signed this petition. However, close to three-quarters of the electorate took part in the 2016 referendum, trusting that the result would be respected.”
However, the following year, a petition “Justice for George Floyd” launched by Kellen S, became the most successful online petition in history after garnering 19,690,613 signatures, leading to a victorious outcome.
Floyd was murdered by a Minneapolis police officer named Derek Chauvin, who was later convicted in 2022 and sentenced to 21 years in U.S. federal prison.
To be successful, the online petition should have an actionable title or outcome. Generally, petitions that appeal to a sense of outrage perform better than those with a softer or more positive angle.
Online petitions or campaigns are believed to hold the potential of being far more successful than their analogue, paper-based counterparts, due to their flexibility and shareability.
Typically, after the target number of signatories has been reached, a letter is forwarded to the subject of the petition, usually via e-mail, for further action.
