I’m not your fan, Trump slams Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

United States president, Donald Trump, has fired back at Meghan Markle and her husband, Prince Harry after the couple released a message in honour of the National Voter Registration Day, US Weekly reports.

“I’m not a fan of hers,” Trump, 74, told reporters from the White House.

The president then directed his remarks toward Harry, 36, and his decision to marry the former Suits actress, 39.

“I would say this, and she has probably heard that; I wish a lot of luck to Harry because he is going to need it,” Trump said.

Ahead of the president’s response, his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, said, “Markle and Harry made Britain great again by leaving, I hope they do the same for us.”

Lewandowski comments came after the couple recorded a video urging U.S. citizens to vote in the upcoming 2020 presidential election in November. The speech was aired during an ABC special celebrating Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people of 2020.

Although neither Markle nor her husband directly told viewers to vote Trump out of office, they pleaded with voters to make their voices heard this November.

“Every four years we are told the same thing: that this is the most important election of our lifetime. But this one is. When we vote, our values are put into action and our voices are heard. Your voice is a reminder that you matter because you do and you deserve to be heard,” Markle said while sitting beside her husband in the backyard of their new home in Montecito, California.

Although the former military pilot cannot vote in the election because he is a British citizen, he echoed his American wife’s sentiments, as Trump faces off against former vice president, Joe Biden.

“When the bad outweighs the good, for many, whether we realize it or not, it erodes our ability to have compassion and our ability to put ourself in someone else’s shoes. Because when one person buys into negativity online, the effects are felt exponentially. It’s time to not only reflect but act,” Prince Harry said.

The prince has never voted in the U.K. as members of the royal family are expected to stay politically neutral but he reminded Americans to always reject “hate speech, misinformation and online negativity.”

Trump denies Harry, Meghan security protection over ‘love’ for Queen

President Donald Trump has said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle must pay for their security protection in the U.S. after the lovers left Canada for the country.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports President Trump stated this on Sunday, stressing that he is a great friend and admirer of the Queen and the United Kingdom (UK).

Recall that Harry and Meghan who got married on 19 May 2018, in January 2020, announced that they were stepping back from their role as senior members of the royal family.

The lovebirds, who said they would balance their time between the UK and North America, recently left Canada for the US.

Trump said for the love he has for the Queen, Harry and Meghan would have to pay for security protection to live in the U.S.

“I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada.

“Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!” Trump said.

  • Harry, Meghan’s royal step back is ‘sad’ – Trump

U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday said the decision by Britain’s Prince Harry and his wife Meghan to step back from royal duties was “sad.”

Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, who is Harry’s grandmother, was reportedly not consulted before the pair announced their decision to seek a lower profile, build financial independence and divide their time between Britain and North America.

“I don’t want to get into the whole thing. I just have such respect for the Queen I don’t think this should be happening to her,” Trump added in an interview with Fox News that was partially aired on Friday.

The couple said they plan to restrict media access and withdraw from a rota system for press coverage of the royal family.

Buckingham Palace said discussions were ongoing with the couple, who are officially known as the duke and duchess of Sussex.

The surprise announcement came after they had denounced intrusive and inaccurate media reporting, as well as the vitriol directed toward them on social media, including racist attacks against U.S.-born Meghan, whose mother is black.

In an interview last year with the British newspaper The Sun, Trump called Meghan “nasty” after finding out that she did not support his election.

  • Prince Harry, Meghan Markle make shocking announcement

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made a dramatic move as they announced their intention to “step back as senior members of the Royal Family.”

This was revealed in a statement shared on their verified Instagram page on Wednesday night.

The royal couple also announced they are making plans to split their time between the U.K. and North America.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote: “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen. It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages. This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity. We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties. Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.”

The annual awards, which was held on Friday 25 October, celebrates Britain’s most influential people of African and Afro Caribbean heritage in business, the public sector, science, technology, sports, media and the arts. This year’s Powerlist recipients include boxing champion, Anthony Joshua; actor Idris Elba; British Vogue Editor, Edward Enninful; Makeup artist and Founder Pat McGrath Labs, Pat McGrath; Formula 1 World Champion, Lewis Hamilton MBE.

Ismail Ahmed, the Somaliland-born founder and chairman of WorldRemit, a digital money transfer company with over 4 million users worldwide received the 2020 Powerlist No. 1 Award. Mr. Ahmed’s revolutionary work at WorldRemit has made it possible for people in remote parts of Africa to receive money through the use of their mobile phones.

The Powerlist UK International Award is given to a person based outside of the UK, considered to have distinguished himself or herself as a change-maker, innovator, inspiration and person of considerable influence. AWB works with partners such as Ford Foundation, Wikimedia and other organisations on initiatives that advance and improve realties for women and girls of African descent around the world.

While accepting the award, Dr. Balonwu challenged the audience to look beyond stereotypes about women of African heritage. “What do you think of when you think of African women? The latest to comment on rumours the Duchess of Sussex might be pregnant again is television host Wendy Williams, IBT reports.

“They’re saying that she might be pregnant again,” she said during “The Wendy Williams Show” on Wednesday. “I mean after only giving birth four months ago… I guess… if your body hasn’t fully come back and things are still, you know, ready down there, I don’t know, that would have been my election like if I could do it all over again.”

Williams continued, “You know, they call them Irish twins. Isn’t that when they are less than a year old from each other? I think that’s a great idea.”

Williams went on to state that she doesn’t know for sure if Meghan is pregnant but feels that the new mom gave the world a few hints when she chose to wear two of the same maternity outfits that she wore last year during her royal tour to South Africa.

So far, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not made an announcement regarding Markle’s alleged pregnancy. Kensington Palace has been silent over the matter as well.

  • #RoyalWedding: Meghan Markle honoured with Coat of Arms as new Duchess

Meghan Markle has been honoured with a coat of arms as the Duchess of Sussex after she was welcomed into the Royal Family following her wedding to Prince Harry.

Kensington Palace statement said: “A Coat of Arms has been created for The Duchess of Sussex.

The design of the Arms was agreed and approved by Her Majesty The Queen and Mr Thomas Woodcock (Garter King of Arms and Senior Herald in England), who is based at the College of Arms in London.

“Her Royal Highness worked closely with the College of Arms throughout the design process to create a Coat of Arms that was both personal and representative.”

Meghan’s Coat of Arms features a songbird symbolising the “power of communication” and it has been joined with Prince Harry’s royal lion Coat of Arms, as is protocol for royal wives.

The Queen bestowed the title of Duke of Sussex on the Harry before the Royal Wedding and Meghan became the Duchess of Sussex when she married the Prince in a historic and romanic ceremony last Saturday.

Meghan’s Coat of Arms was also approved by the Queen before it was unveiled today by Kensington Palace.

The Arms features nods to her home state of California as well as her new life as a member of the Royal Family.
The blue background of the shield represents the Pacific Ocean while two golden rays symbolise the famous Californian sunshine.

Beneath the shield on the grass also sits a collection of golden poppies which are California’s state flower.

Meghan’s Coat of Arms also incorporates her new life in the Royal Family with wintersweet flowers, which grow at Kensington Palace.

They feature alongside the golden poppies and a Coronet has also been assigned to The Duchess of Sussex.

The Coronet bestowed on the new Duchess was laid down by a Royal Warrant of 1917 for the sons and daughters of the Heir Apparent.

It is composed of two crosses patée, four fleurs-de-lys and two strawberry leaves.

Thomas Woodcock, Garter King of Arms, who designed the Meghan’s Coat of Arms said: “The Duchess of Sussex took a great interest in the design.

“Good heraldic design is nearly always simple and the Arms of The Duchess of Sussex stand well beside the historic beauty of the quartered British Royal Arms.

“Heraldry as a means of identification has flourished in Europe for almost nine hundred years and is associated with both individual people and great corporate bodies such as Cities, Universities and for instance the Livery Companies in the City of London.
