New wife to Mercy Aigbe’s ex-husband, Busayo Gentry reveals why her husband left his ex-wife

Busayo Gentry, the new wife to Mercy Aigbe’s ex-husband, Lanre Gentry, has spoken on why her husband left his ex-wife.

According to her, “my husband doesn’t just act without a reason.”

She said whatever happened between her husband and his ex-wife (Mercy Aigbe) is none of her business.

Busayo, however, noted that contrary to what some people think, her husband is no longer bothered about his ex-wife.

In her words: “Whatever happened between them (my husband and Mercy Aigbe) then and now is none of my business. That was a family before mine and they never existed to me. Besides, we all have different ways of healing.

“What social media doesn’t know is that people only let you know what they want you to know, and my husband doesn’t just act without a reason.

“If people feel he hasn’t gotten over Mercy Aigbe, that’s because that’s how they see it. He is only concerned about his son and I believe if he hadn’t gotten over her, he wouldn’t have remarried.”

On how she met Lanre Gentry, Busayo said: “I met my husband at a business meeting and I liked him because he was a very ‘free’ person. He knew exactly what he wanted and he went for it. I like people who have clarity of objectives. He always looks after my growth which is my priority.”

She, however, noted that she might also go into entertainment.

Busayo said: “I might go into the entertainment industry; I cannot tell yet. However, it would not be movies.

“I would be showing more of myself in politics in the long run. My latest project will be known to the public once it is ready.”

  • Mercy Aigbe tongue lashes social media users over responses to late Dr. Chinelo’s tweet calling for prayer

Mercy Aigbe tongue lashes social media users over responses to late Dr. Chinelo’s tweet calling for prayer

Actress Mercy Aigbe has lambasted social media users, saying they lack “empathy” and always quick to go behind their keypad to unleash “venom”.

Reacting to social media responses which followed after the Nigerian doctor, Chinelo Megafu, tweeted at about 09:43 p.m. on Monday, when she was shot during the Abuja-Kaduna train terrorist attack, Aigbe urged Nigerians to be more compassionate about others plight.

She further urged social media users to suppress the desire to judge situations too quickly.

Chinelo tweeted that she was shot and sought prayers from Nigerians.

“I’m on the train. I have been shot. Please pray for me,” she tweeted.

Unfortunately, Dr Chinelo’s tweet turned out to be true after her death was reported following a gunshot wound from the attack.

According to the film star, social media users lack empathy as they are always quick to go behind their keypad to unleash “venom”.

Sharing photos of the attacked train accompanied with screenshots of Dr Chinelo’s tweet with harsh responses that greeted it, Aigbe wrote: “I woke up with a heavy heart, completely heartbroken…. I am so drained… God, this country is exhausting… When exactly will God answer our prayers and flush out these evil leaders????

“Seeing the replies to Dr Chinelo’s tweet further broke me… has it degenerated to this? Where is the love??? No empathy whatsoever… people just hide behind their keypads and are quick to unleash venom …. how did we get here???

“I know we have horrible leaders but the truth is as a people, we can do better.. it doesn’t cost a thing to show love, you don’t know the actual situations people are in, don’t be too quick to judge most especially when you are not privy to events, situations, Dr Chinelo only asked for prayers, yet she was mocked, bullied, attacked, cursed.

“With sadness in my heart, I say R.I.P to another promising, young Nigerian, whose life was cut short because of this horrible system. R.I.P to those who lost their lives, Nigeria failed you. As a people we can do better, cos we are all we’ve got…”

  • While in matrimony, my ex-wife, Mercy Aigbe was dating Kazim, ex-husband alleges

While in matrimony, my ex-wife, Mercy Aigbe was dating Kazim, ex-husband alleges

Ex-husband of actress Mercy Aigbe, Olanrewaju Gentry, has alleged that his former wife was dating her new husband, Kazim Adeoti, and having a ball with him (Adeoti) while she was still in matrimony (Gentry).

Gentry revealed this in a recent interview, he explained that “it was Mercy that told me her friend (Funsho Adeoti) was organising a surprise birthday for her husband and we were invited.

“We attended the event, and that was the first time I met Adeoti and his wife. Funso, who was Mercy’s friend at the time, introduced Adeoti to Mercy and I. After that, Adeoti used to come to my home, office and hotel.

“Mercy later told me they were working together and that he was her marketer. I was 100 per cent sure that Mercy and Adeoti were seeing (dating) each other, and I used to tell her that what she was doing was very bad.

“I am a socialite, and I definitely know when something (intimate) is going on between a man and a woman. I really don’t want to be involved in this issue because I have remarried, and I respect my (new) wife. People should learn to handle their homes properly and stay away from strange friends.”

Gentry said contrary to his former wife’s claim, she was a friend to her new husband, Kazeem Adeoti’s first wife, Oluwafunso.

“I do not blame Mercy. The blame should be on Adeoti’s first wife for bringing Mercy into her family.

“People like Funso who love to follow actresses (about) in a bid to make friends with them need to be very careful. It is dangerous to bring a person whom you do not know into your home simply because the person is a celebrity.

“In all honesty, Funso and Mercy were friends. She (Funso) was the one who invited Mercy and I to her husband’s 40th birthday celebration some years back.

“Mercy Aigbe knows within herself that what she did to Funso and her family is very bad.

Speaking on his new marriage, Gentry said, “I said I was going to get married last year and I did. We did our traditional and court wedding on September 11, 2021. We now have a baby girl and she looks very much like Olajuwon, whom some have claimed may not be my biological son.

” A man who was sneaking to have sexual intercourse with another man’s wife cannot have the guts to request for a DNA test. Children born in my family have a certain birthmark, and Juwon and my daughter have it.”

Everyone should leave me to enjoy my marriage – Mercy Aigbe

Popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe has hit back at critics for condemning her new marriage to film-maker, Adeoti Kazim.

Aigbe has reacted to different comments, especially those who said she married Kazim for ‘money’.

TheNewsGuru reports that in January, Aigbe revealed her relationship with the boss of Adekaz Production who has produced some of Mercy’s movies.

She said: “Please, I just want to tell Nigerians that I’m not the first person to be a second wife. It is my choice, and I’m happy with it. let everybody just leave me to enjoy my marriage. If you can be happy for me, be happy for me. If you cannot be happy, you can get busy.”

Aigbe explained that after her last marriage, she had decided to focus on her career and kids but the appearance of her new husband (Kazim) changed her mindset.

“He (Kazim) brought so much joy, peace and happiness to my life. I tell him all the time that he is a good man. So when he popped the question, I decided to give it a try that this is the last bus stop. I’m glad it is a decision I took.

“He has been amazing, and supportive. I didn’t marry him because of his money. He gives me peace, and joy.”

TVC talk show host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown disclosed on Thursday January 27, that Aigbe told her that her popular Yoruba filmmaker husband, Adeoti Kazim is a Muslim and is entitled to more than one wife.

While this is Aigbe’s third shot at marriage, it is Mr Kazim’s second marriage. Kazim is also a father-of-four. His first wife, Funsho, lives in Minnesota, U.S. and is a notable fashion designer.

The actress made the recent claim just after saying that her ex-husband Lanre Gentry and current husband, Kazim Adeoti were never friends.

Morayo said, “I spoke to her (Mercy) last night, she called me to correct an impression and that it is wrong for us to say, ‘how can she go and marry her ex-husband’s best friend.’ She said they were never friends.

“They only attended an event where her present husband, a marketer in the industry, invited her to his birthday party, which she had attended in her ex-husband’s company.

“She told me that the man is a Muslim, he’s entitled to more than one wife, so yes, he has issues with the first wife, and he is now married to her as the second wife and as a second wife, doesn’t she deserve to be happy? ”

The TVC host also revealed that Aigbe told her that people sent her derogatory messages on Instagram, and this has been depressing to her and her children.
