    Mercy Eke reveals emotional struggles during All-Stars season

    Former BBNaija housemate, Mercy Eke has revealed her emotional struggles during the All-Stars season.

    Speaking on the Hero Daniels podcast, she said Nigerians showed “me pure hatred and wickedness” while on the show.

    The reality star wondered why she received such treatment “just for trying to be more”. She said she only received “support from my fans”.

    “Where I am right now, I am only halfway to where I want to be. But it is just… this last season, I started questioning myself. I feel like I am too ambitious. Is it a good thing for a woman to want more? People almost made me feel like I am too greedy. Most times when I talk to Biggie, that is what I ask him. In my head I start questioning myself ‘Do I want too much?’ Am I looking for too much? Wetin’ I get? I do not even have anything,” she said.
    “People made it look like ‘let others be there’. I did not have any support apart from my fans. It is still in my head. And I am not lying because it is just pure hatred and wickedness that I witnessed. Just for trying to be more. Just for trying to push harder. And I thank God that I went back to the show because I did not know that is how people saw me. I just respect myself and package myself. Even when I have not eaten nobody will know. What did I do wrong? The only crime I committed was wanting more. And I ask again, is that a bad thing for a person to want more?

    “Honestly, not everybody will support you. And people do not want you to grow more than them. People do not want you to be bigger than them. That is what it is.”

    The first runner-up on the just concluded BBNaija reality show, Mercy Eke has swiftly denied her claims of having a rich lover.

    During their time in the Big Brother house, Mercy Eke revealed that her lover offered her 120 million naira in three months if she didn’t participate in the show.

    Mercy Eke revealed that her partner was possessively jealous and advised her not to participate in the show.

    She further said that he gave her 120 million Naira on purpose to discourage her from joining, but she declined.

    Mercy Eke, however, quickly reversed her position in an interview with Toke Makinwa, claiming that she lied about having a rich lover.

    According to her, she only said that in order to chase the male housemates away from her because she didn’t want a relationship.

    BBNaijaAllStars housemate Mercy Eke has received how she form an alliance with former colleague Whitemoney while the show was on.

    According to her, whatever connection she shared with the BBNaija ‘Shine Ya Eye’ winner during the recently concluded All Stars show was basically to gather votes.

    She clearly noted that the 31-year-old ‘Otamiemie master’ was ‘used for votes.’

    During their time in Biggie’s house, the two engaged in several interactions, including ‘romantic’ displays that sparked dating rumours.

    In her post-show conversation firstly with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Mercy clarified her alliance was purely a strategy and nothing more.

    She also claimed she tried as much as possible not to give Whitemoney false hope while strategising and playing her game.

    With the latest interview clip, the BBNaija ‘Pepper Dem’ winner reaffirmed Whitemoney was just a means to an end for her as regards securing votes on the show.

    Former Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Pere Egbi has revealed what got him attracted to his colleague, Mercy Eke.

    Pere made the disclosure on Monday during his interview with former Big Brother Titans contestant, Miracle OP, on Sabi Radio.

    He stated that Mercy’s dedication to God played a pivotal role in forging a connection between them.

    He further explained that he observed that Mercy always read her Bible while they were in Biggie’s house and this left a lasting impression on him.

    “On her bed was a small bible; that night, I took a peak in the blue room and she was reading the bible. When you see Mercy, you won’t think she’s the type of person who is that spiritual with God. And every time, you see her praying every day.”

    Recall that Pere found solace in Mercy Eke towards the end of the show and described his relationship with her as “genuine authentic friendship that could lead anywhere.”

    Former Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, Mercy Eke has said that her relationship with colleague, Whitemoney was basically ‘pure alliance’

    She noted that it was’t meant to be romantic in anyway.

    Mercy made this known during her interview with Africa Magic, Mercy told Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that her relationship with Whitemoney in Biggie’s house wasn’t romantic.

    She, however, said she was unsure if the singer started developing feelings for her during their alliance in the House.

    Mercy said, “Me and Whitemoney’s relationship was just an alliance. In the first week, he already told me that we would be a target in the House so we should stick by each other.

    “He said it was only he and I that were different in the House.

    “But I was still myself. I was still trying to have fun. But I don’t know if he started developing feelings inside. It wasn’t anything. It was just an alliance. No feelings there at all. It was just a game.”

    What Mercy Eke said as Ilebaye pips her to win BBNaija All Stars

    Ilebaye Precious Odiniya, codenamed Gen Z baddie, on Sunday, pipped Mercy Eke to emerge winner of the Big Brother Naija All Stars reality TV show.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Mercy Eke, who won season 4 of Big Brother Naija in 2019, emerged first runner-up in the 2023 All Stars edition of the reality TV show on Sunday.

    Mercy, who bagged N60 million during the ‘Pepper Dem’ edition, disclosed on stage with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that she never expected to see herself in the final.

    She, meanwhile, revealed that returning for the All Stars edition of the BBNaija reality TV show was worth it for her.

    “I was here 4 years ago and now I am back here; so it is not even easy to compete with these newbies,” Mercy said while speaking with Ebuka on the stage of the grand finale.

    Ebuka the show host had asked her: “you have been here before but you have been very scared of not getting here, what is going through your mind right now?”

    TNG reports that 31-year-old lawyer from the ‘Double Wahala’ edition, Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as CeeC, emerged as the second runner-up.

    Adekunle Olopade, a 27-year-old digital consultant and entrepreneur from Lagos State, emerged the third runner-up with Pere Egbi as the fourth runner-up and Cross Okonkwo, the fifth runner-up.

    Gen Z baddie, Ilebaye, who won the show, carts away the grand prize of 120 million Naira among other prizes.

    Mercy Eke, one of the Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate,  has revealed that she has   a crush on famous singer, Omah Lay.

    In a chat with fellow housemates on Tuesday, Mercy disclosed that the ‘Soso’ crooner is the only celebrity she might want to get intimate with.

    She said despite her obsession with the singer, she does not follow him on social media.

    She said, “Omah Lay will kill me. I love him so much but he doesn’t know. I don’t even follow him on social media. He is the only artist I might wanna f**k.”

    Recall that Mercy had disclosed on the reality show that she is currently in a relationship.

    She said her boyfriend promised to give her N120m; the equivalent of the grand prize of the reality show if she agreed not to join the All-Star edition but she insisted on coming.

    Mercy Eke, Big Brother Naija All Stars housemate, has said that fellow housemates  see her as a threat to their chances of winning the N120m grand prize of the reality show.

    According to her, they should have put her up or possible eviction this week but they didn’t because “we have bonded so well and they are now seeing beyond the game.”

    She stated this while answering questions from the host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu during the live eviction show on Sunday.

    Ebuka asked: “Mercy Eke, you seem surprised that you weren’t nominated this week. Why did you think the housemates didn’t like you?”

    Mercy Eke responded: “It’s not about liking. I think they already know that I am a big threat so it would be wise to put me out there. I take it like we are now family so we have bonded so well and they are now seeing beyond the game but they still think I am a threat.”

    Mercy is the only previous winner to make it to the All-Star final. She qualified for the final after the housemates failed to put her up for possible eviction.

    Big Brother Naija All Star housemate, Mercy Eke has been issued a strike for breaking the house rules during the week.

    She was caught whispering  and committing microphone infringements.

    According to Biggie, if she receives two more strikes, she will be disqualified.

    He said, “The clip you just watched was taken 48 hours ago. You have been found guilty of breaking the house rule on communication, despite the final warning to the housemates yesterday.

    “You are hereby issued a strike, two more strikes and you will be disqualified.”
    Any housemate wgo receives three strikes will be automatically disqualified from the show.
