    A housemate in the 2021 big brother show, Maria Chike, has consoled the BBNaija Season 4 winner, Mercy Eke, as she buries her dad today, April 27, 2022.

     

    It was gathered that the befitting funeral was held in the deceased hometown in Imo State.

     

    Taking to her Instagram page, Maria Chike consoled Mercy as she recount how she lost her dad years back.

     

    According to her, she lost her dad 9 years ago and since then, she has never been the same.

     

    She also noted that even though it has been long he died, she still miss him.

     

    In her words;

    “I’m not okay today! I feel so out of place. 9 years ago i came here to bury my first love (daddy) and i haven’t been back since then, and today i’m here to support a friend burying their father! I can’t get a hold of my emotions . I miss you so much daddy”

    She shared the photo of a dark image and a candle, stating she is so devastated over her father’s demise.

    The brand influencer who seemed to be in denial of the sad incident, said she did not want to believe that such a thing was happening to her.

    Eke made this known via her verified Instagram page, where she shared a photo of a candle and wrote: “I’m so devastated at the demise of my daddy. God I don’t want to believe this is happening to me right now”.

    Shortly after her post, her celebrity colleagues flooded her comment section with condolence messages.

    Meanwhile Nollywood Actress, Tayo Odueke better known as Sikiratu Sindodo, sparked a little commotion at a politician’s 40th birthday party which held in Lagos on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

    While Eke divulged her thirst to experience conception at the ‘right time’, she expressed joy seeing photos of the Barbadian singer beautifully rocking her baby bump.

    Recall that it was alleged that Mercy Eke was the famous lady, footballer, Aaron Samuel was cheating on his wife with. However, in a chat with blogger, Stella Dimorkokus, Mercy regarded the reports as outrageous.

    ”Whoever is behind this pack of lies will never know peace since this person does not want to let me rest. If it is true I am guilty, may i never know peace or anything good come to me but if i am innocent, whoever is behind this is doomed and will never know peace. What is my business with him? I know him but have nothing romantic with him.

    He is a ‘boy’ to someone I know and i can never stoop that low. Please I don’t sleep with small boys, I don’t have anything to do with small boys. I really didn’t want to address this but since you called me I have no choice but to respond to your questions. Thank you for reaching out,” she said.

    According to her: “In this part of the world, people believe a man is behind the success of a woman, whether she is married or single. I work hard for everything I own today. When people say a man is behind these things, I find it appalling. However, it does not get to me anymore because what else would one say? It only shows that my success is visible.”

    Reality Tv star, Mercy Eke has averred that people hardly knows she is a diesel supplier.

     

    The beautiful 2019 BBNaija winner made this known as a speaker at Nigeria Entertainment Conference held in April.

     

    According to her: “Being famous and having fans is a two way thing. You have to know how to balance them.A lot of people just want to be famous and they don’t have any direction.I do really estate and also supply diesel to a lot of companies.I said to myself’ ‘You sold fuel, now that you have all these, you can do something about it’.As I am talking right now, I supply diesel to a lot of companies and people don’t know I am the one behind it”.

     

    Speaking further, Eke also said she takes risks by investing in businesses she doesn’t know much about.

     

     

    “I put money into businesses I am not even sure of, asking myself, ‘What if it doesn’t work’? What if these people abscond with my money. I put in money to get returns’.

     

     

     

    On how her fans have been instrumental to her success, she said: “Each time I drop something you see the fans, they all want to support my business.When it starts happening to you, do not relent. People only associate with you when you are doing something right. No one wants to associate with a failure.You have to keep doing what you know how to do. You have to keep pushing however small it is. Make sure it’s something you can be proud of tomorrow.

    I work for everything you see that I have. I work for everything I put out there. May be I am not so blessed for people to always give me things for free.I feel like my journey just started. Before I used to get things for free, now I have to work, but people don’t see that part”.

    The winner of the 2019 edition of Big Brother Naija, has revealed that she once sold corn and fuel just to survive.

    The 27-year-old reality Tv star disclosed this during a very emotional panel session at the 8th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment Conference (#NECLive8), which was held today.

    “Sometimes it gets me very emotional to see how far I’ve come from where I started, from selling corn, to fuel, to a lot of other businesses I did before”, said Eke, who had to stop herself from weeping. “I’m very proud of myself, and I know that there are a lot of people looking up to me.”

    She also opened up on her tough childhood, as well as the fact that it took her four auditions to get into the Big Brother Naija House.

    “I auditioned four times before I got into the Big Brother House, but somehow I won the show, and I won the hearts of Nigerians and Africans”, Eke explained. “I work for everything I own today, maybe I’m not ‘blessed’ enough for people to just give me things for free. I can look back at my journey with pride, in spite of my rough childhood: I grew up in a family of 6, but somehow I was able to complete my tertiary education. I’m very proud of myself, and I know that there are a lot of people looking up to me. Where I am today is through my hard work. I didn’t just win and rest on my oars, because I know that my journey has just started.”

    Reality Tv star, Ike Onyema has stated that his happiest moment was when he left his previous relationship.

    The former BBNaija housemate made this known via his Instagram page on Sunday, April 18, 2021, during a chat with SpiceTV Africa.

    “I am usually very particular about the relationship advise I give because I don’t like to give advise on something I’m not an expert on. I had a couple of girlfriends but my best advise right now is guys, just make sure you are happy because a relationship involves a lot of work and sacrifice,” he said.

    “Don’t jump into it until you are ready, trust me. A real relationship only works when you have the right partner. My happiest moment in life was when I got out of my last relationship,” he continued

    Ike’s comments come a few days after reality TV star, Mercy Eke warned fans about dwelling on their failed relationship.

    “I’m in a happy place, he is good, he is living up, I’m good, I’m living up and I think we should just put an end to this. Stop flooding my timeline with this silly question. We are over. So let’s just keep it moving, we are done,” she said.

    Addressing such claims in a video uploaded to her YouTube channel, the reality star said, “In this part of the world, people believe a man is behind the success of a woman, whether she is married or single. I work hard for everything I own today. When people say a man is behind these things, I find it appalling. However, it does not get to me anymore because what else would one say? It only shows that my success is visible.”

    Eke also averred that the fear of failure makes her stronger and keeps her going.

    She said, “My biggest fear in life is failure. I don’t want to fail and go back to the streets. I don’t want to roast corn anymore. I just want to keep doing what I know how to do best. God has blessed me. The fear of failure makes me stronger. I want to be a better person. I want today to be better than yesterday. That is why no matter what is thrown at me, I would never stop growing. I would never stop establishing myself and I would never stop dreaming,”

    Big Brother Naija, BBNaija 2019 winner, Mercy Eke has confirmed that her relationship with Ike Onyema has crashed.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that Ike and Mercy started a romantic relationship on the reality show.

    The relationship became stronger up until sometime later in 2020.

    There were rumours that the lovebirds broke up after the couple had an argument.

    However, Mercy during a question and answer session with her fans on Instagram confirmed that they have decided to part ways.

    She said breakups happen and this time she’s done being in the relationship.

    She further noted that the relationship has truly ended adding that it wasn’t a publicity stunt as speculated by many.

    “A lot of people keep asking me this question and I think it’s time I made it clear that I and Ike are no longer a couple.

    “This time we are done. Like done, done and it’s not a publicity stunt.

    “He has moved on and I have equally moved on and this ship sank a long time ago.

    “I really hope y’all understand this and move on too,” she said.

    Big Brother Naija 2019 winner, Mercy Eke, has reacted to the criticism from Nigerians for saying that she’s too busy to watch the reality show.

     

    Mercy in a viral video on her Insta story on Tuesday slammed those who tagged her on housemates social media accounts expecting her to support them.

     

    According to her, she is too busy to watch the show and chasing her reality at the moment.

     

    This elicited bitter reactions from BBNaija fans on social media as some described her as ungrateful to those who voted for her on the show last year.

     

    Making clarifications, Mercy took to her Twitter page saying that the video was edited short and she was referring to those ruining her image because she decided to be neutral.

     

    Eke added that she is grateful for their votes and not a representation of their narratives of her being ungrateful after winning the show.

     

    Her tweet read: “I was talking to those who were tarnishing my image on Twitter because I decided to stay neutral.

     

    “I love all housemates equally, and everyone knows I’m a thankful person. Your narrative will never change my personality.

     

    “For those who already knew that the clip was edited short without any shalaye thank you for knowing me.”
