Being single sucks — Miley Cyrus laments after divorce from ex

Popular American singer, Miley Cyrus has admitted that being single sucks more than a year after her divorce from Liam Hemsworth, her ex-husband.

In 2019, Cyrus and Hemsworth decided to part ways after less than a year of marriage.

But Cyrus took to her Twitter handle on Wednesday to narrate how difficult being single has been for her.

“Being single sucks. All I ever do is whatever the f-ck I want!” she wrote in the expletive-laden tweet as fans reacted.

She also shared a video clip of herself earlier telling fans she had no problem being single. She then followed it up with another clip where she backtracked on her words, saying she’s ready to mingle after the COVID-19 pandemic ends.

“I’ve no problem not having a boyfriend,” she said while adding: “I’m single now, you know. After covid, I’m ready.”

She had earlier denied claims that she cheated on Hemsworth, prompting his decision to break up with her.

“I can accept that the life I’ve chosen means I must live completely open and transparent with fans who I love, and the public. What I cannot accept is being told I’m lying to cover up a crime I haven’t committed,” the singer said.

“I have nothing to hide. I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating. Liam and I have been together for a decade. I’ve said it before & it remains true.

“It is no secret I was into partying in my teens and early 20s. I have not only smoked but advocated for weed. I’ve experimented with drugs. My biggest song to date is about dancing on molly and snorting lines in the bathroom.

“But the truth is, once Liam and I reconciled, I meant it. I was committed. There are no secrets to uncover here.”

Miley Cyrus confirms break up from Cody Simpson

Popular American singer, Miley Cyrus, has confirmed her split from Cody Simpson, her lover who happens to be an Australian musician.

The actress cum singer took to her social media page to address the issue shortly after news of her failed relationship broke.

Cyrus said she decided to break silence over the development to avoid the media telling her story for her.

“A year ago, almost to this exact date, the media tried to tell my story for me, and control my narrative, and I’m just not accepting that. So today, it came out that me and my boyfriend have broken up,” she said in an Instagram live on Thursday night.

“It was confirmed by a ‘reliable source’ even though no one is reliable in a relationship except the individuals who are participating in it, but right now, two halves can’t make a whole and we’re individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we wanna be, like everybody else at this age.”

Cyrus said that inspite of the split, they will continue to remain good friends.

“We are just deciding who we wanna be in our lives, what we wanna do, and so, don’t make it some drama story if next week we’re hanging out, getting pizza,” she said.

“We’ve been friends for 10 years and we’re going to continue to be friends, so just don’t make it something that it is not.”

‘I messed up’ — Miley Cyrus apologises over derogatory comments

American pop vocalist, Miley Cyrus, has express regret over her derogatory comments about the hip-hop community.

In an interview with Billboard in 2017, the‘Wrecking Ball’ singer, had blamed her failing out of the hip-hop genre on its sex-driven and money-oriented tendencies. She was speaking on her 2013 album ‘Bangerz’.

Though Cyrus had registered her fondness for Kendrick Lamar’s track ‘Humble’, she said she was no longer interested in rap because of the materialistic messages.

“Too much Lamborghini. Got my Rolex. Got a girl on my cock. I am so not that and that’s what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little,” she had said.

Her unsavoury comments had ignited widespread criticism from both fans and colleagues.

Thereafter she was accused of appropriating and exploiting the hip-hop culture only to let go when it no longer served her.

Cyrus had previously reacted to the wave of criticism in a since-deleted Instagram post, in which she noted that her words were taken out of context.

On Tuesday, she took to the comments section of a fan YouTube video to issue an apology in a lengthy message.

“I want to start with saying I am sorry. I own the fact that saying ‘this pushed me out of the hip hop scene a little’ was insensitive, as it is a privilege to have the ability to dip in and out of ‘the scene,” Cyrus wrote.

“There are decades of inequality that I am aware of, but still have alot [to] learn about. Silence is apart of the problem and I refuse to be quiet anymore. My words became a divider in a time where togetherness and unity is crucial.

“I can not change what I said at that time, but I can say I am deeply sorry for the disconnect my words caused. Simply said; I f***ed up and I sincerely apologize. I’m committed to using my voice for healing, change, and standing up for what’s right.”
