Mr Macaroni gives reason why he cant be with a woman

Adebowale Adedayo, who is better known as Mr Macaroni, who is a Nigerian actor and content creator, has shared a touching story about his love life.

Featuring in a recent episode of the Dating In Lagos Show, hosted by Ariyiike Dimple, the skit maker revealed that he has been in love with a lady, but they can’t be with her due to some circumstances.

He shared that he still loves her despite the circumstances and their differences.

I’m a single pringle. I’m single and not searching. If you say dating in Lagos, for me, I can’t define it. But if it’s by what I have heard or what I’ve seen, dating in Lagos is chaotic, or better put, anarchy,” he said.

“I don’t have any personal experience when it comes to dating in Lagos because I’m not actively dating anymore. I’m not seeing anyone. My past relationship wasn’t even in Lagos. The time I really dated when I was in love, I was still in university then.

“I wouldn’t even say that in Lagos I actively dated anyone. It’s not that I’ve not been in love. There’s someone that I really loved and I still love her but there are a lot of circumstances that cannot allow us to be together, a lot of different tests. I don’t want to go into it.

“For me, what I think love to be… A lot of people think love is all about jolly good, shopping, spending money, taking pictures. What I think is that both parties always just look for the best things to always attach to them. I strongly believe in perseverance. And this is not a story of you have to suffer with your partner. You don’t necessarily need to suffer to be in a relationship. That is not what I mean. What I mean by that is, it’s not always jolly. When you understand that and the moment you know that you love a person. When you say you love a person, you are willing to commit yourself 100 per cent.

You are just as vicious and evil – Mr Macaroni slams Sanwo-Olu, APC loyalists over attacks on Peter Obi

Mr Macaroni, a Nigerian comedian cum  activist, has taken to social media blast to the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its supporters of hypocrisy and online bullying.

This comes shortly after Governor Sanwo-Olu’s criticism of Labour Party presidential candidate in 2023 election, Peter Obi.

It would be recalled that Sanwo-Olu in a statement on Sunday berated Peter Obi’s recent remarks at Johns Hopkins University, accusing him of “de-marketing” Nigeria on the international stage and lacking the moral authority to criticize President Bola Tinubu’s handling of the economy.

According to Sanwo-Olu,  Obi’s eight-year tenure was marked by a rise in poverty, and a lack of significant infrastructure development, including schools and hospitals.

“Mr Obi talks a good game. But was he able to reduce poverty while he governed Anambra? Under Peter Obi, the poverty rate in Anambra jumped to 53.7 per cent,” Sanwo-Olu said

The governor further argued that while Obi allegedly failed to deliver measurable development, Tinubu had lifted “millions out of poverty” during his time as Lagos governor, citing initiatives like the construction of schools and the provision of student loans.

In reaction to the Lagos State governor’s criticism, Obi’s supporters, popularly known as Obidients, flooded the social media space accusing Sanwo-Olu of playing the role of Tinubu’s “loyal apprentice” and digressing from the real issues Nigerians are facing.

Macaroni, on the other hand took a direct swipe at APC loyalists who have consistently attacked him online since his outspoken role during the #EndSARS movement.

“Finally, APC Trolls are just as vicious and evil as any other online mob!” Macaroni wrote.

He also said, “They have insulted, attacked and cursed me since 2020 up till now! They are not saints! They are evil and wicked! They are the real headless mob with a unique talent of gaslighting and playing the victim.”

The report indicated that the staffs had been incarcerated without a competent court trial for an alleged robbery case involving Patience Jonathan’s jewellery.

According to sources familiar with the situation, the workers remained behind bars despite the years that have passed due to the continuous postponement of their trial, which is said to be on Jonathan’s direct instructions.

“Since 2019, former First Lady Patience Jonathan has locked up about 16 of her domestic staff in Okaka Prison for allegedly stealing her jewellery, without first allowing a competent court of law to try them and sentence them,” a source stated.

Does Madam Patience even remember that they are still in Prison??? We must stand against this pattern of abus!ng power that allows rich or influential people lock up others because they cannot speak or fight for themselves. By law, they are innocent until proven guilty.”

My debt was over half a billion – Mr Macaroni opens up on being a victim of a failed investment

Nigerian skit maker cum Nollywood actor, Debo Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has opened up about being a victim of a failed investment.

TheNewsGuru reports that Macaroni, via the microblogging platform, X formerly known as Twitter on Thursday, noted that his financial recklessness and generosity negatively impacted his financial stability.

The internet sensation disclosed that things got so bad to the extent he resorted to borrowing to fulfil certain responsibilities and pending commitments after losing all his savings.

He added that even though that 2024 marked a crucial moment in his acting career, it was, according to the comic actor, the most challenging year for him as he faced over half a billion naira in debt.

Mr Macaroni added that despite the betrayal he faced from people he called his own, the support of family and friends who stood by him during his trying times, made him better.

He wrote, “Sometime around 2021/2022 I was victim of a scam and simultaneously a failed investment that cost me all I had saved at the time. It shook me deeply but I told NO ONE about it. If you know me well enough, you would know I do not like to share my problems. I could be going through the worst and at the same time helping others solve their own problems but I just would never share mine.

“After I lost all the money I had then, Trouble started when I had to borrow money from different sources to settle all pending commitments and also fulfill certain responsibilities i have always believed were mine to fulfill. I make money in millions so I never thought borrowing money to pay back with interests could ever be a problem. But I got too comfortable and it took me a long time to realize that I was using the money I was earning to pay back interests. Also, my financial recklessness did not help. Please don’t borrow money! But if you must, please be responsible. I was now in serious debt.. but it didn’t stop my recklessness.

“2024 was a turning point for my Acting career. Two of the films I featured in were screened at international festivals.. my performances in some other films released last year also earned me numerous commendations. However, It was also the most troubling year for me. I was burdened every single day and night, knowing that I was over half a billion in debt.

“The last straw was when I was betrayed by someone whom I have always loved as a friend and sister. She betrayed my trust, love and confidence and for that I was completely destabilized. I hardly trust people and nothing really surprises me about the actions of we humans but this one, I could never have prepared for. Such was the level of trust and love.

“But you see, one thing about me is that I’m a warrior! I have never backed down from a fight. When I fall, I bounce back even stronger by God’s grace and I keep my head up. So I gathered myself, and made some very tough decisions and with the help of family and friends who have stood by me, I feel better than I have felt in the last 3 years!”

Atiku, Macaroni, Sowore defend Lagos corper who called Tinubu ‘terrible’ president

Nigeria’s former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar, celebrity Skit Maker, Debo Adedayo, popularly called Mr Macaroni, and human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore, have defended Lagos-based National Youth Service Corps member, Ushie Uguamaye, also known as Raye, who called President Bola Tinubu a “terrible” president.

Rita who broke down in tears, shared her frustration over the high cost of goods in the market, further calling President Tinubu’s government a “terrible” one for paying little attention to the hike in commodity prices.

“We should start calling out the government. For example, Tinubu, you are a terrible person. What are you doing to help our economy?

“If a lot of Nigerians come out and start speaking about what we are going through, maybe changes will be made in the government,” she said in the video.

He wrote: “To the DG, Coordinators and every official of the NYSC!!! You cannot threaten, intimidate or victimize any corper for expressing their view on the performance of the president. They are citizens with rights! The president is in office to serve the people and every Nigerian, Corper or not has the right to hold their Leaders accountable!!!”

On his party, the former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Sowore said the corps member stated a fact, not an insult. He added that NYSC was no longer serving its purpose.

Saying that Bola Tinubu is a terrible person/’president’ is not an insult; it is a statement of fact. NYSC has outlived its usefulness, if it was ever helpful at all, considering its deceptive origin and outright corrupt nature,” he wrote on his 𝕏.

Atiku, on the other hand, praised Raye’s courage, describing her as a symbol of a new generation of politically engaged women committed to advocacy and democratic participation.

“Raye embodies the spirit of a new generation of women who champion the ideals of popular participation and unwavering advocacy in the political sphere.

“I deeply admire her boldness and wisdom—her fearless resolve to speak truth to power, undeterred by the weight of opposition,” Atiku wrote.

The Nigerian leader further admonished the public to support Raye, rather than being hostile towards her.

“Rather than being met with hostility, Raye deserves encouragement and support. She is a shining emblem of the Nigerian youth—a testament to the long-held promise that the leaders of tomorrow are already among us, ready to shape a better future,” Atiku said.

He asserted that the rot in the country will continue to eat deep because the money and power of the affluent will always wash their sins away.
