    Mr Macaroni reacts to ethnic politics launched against non-indigenes of Lagos

    Popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Adebowale Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has reacted to the ethnic politics launched against some non-indigenes of Lagos state ahead of the 2023 general election.

    In a tweet he shared, the comedian revealed that while his state of origin in Ogun state, he was born in Lagos and also lived all his life in the South-West state.

    Mr Macaroni went on to ask those telling non-indigenes to leave or not to campaign in the state if they are originally from Lagos.

    He tweeted: “My state of Origin is Ogun. I was born and bred in Lagos. I have lived all my life in Lagos. Why are u suddenly asking me to go back to Ogun state? How many of you asking us to leave Lagos are even originally from Lagos? The election will come and go, But the people will remain!”

    Mr Macaroni popularity ironically grew from his comic skits on social media, where he plays the role of a political figure cum sugar daddy called “Daddy Wa” or a sadistic lecturer called “Professor Hard Life”.

    Using his satirical works and online presence, he is also known for his social justice advocacy. His skits satirize social issues to promote human rights and critique everyday social interactions.

    During the 2020 #EndSARS protests in Nigeria, Mr Macaroni used his platform and presence at various protest venues to advocate against police brutality, even after becoming a victim as a result.

    TheNewsGuru.com recalls that Lagos State Deputy Governor, Babafemi Hamzat, had asked the former Anambra State governor and presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, to go back to his state for his campaign.

    In the video, he was heard saying that Obi is campaigning in Lagos after “they developed and stabilized” the South-West state.

    He also claimed that the former Anambra state governor cannot campaign in Lagos.

    Ace  Nigerian Comedian, Debo Adebayo popularly known as  Mr. Macaroni has advised Nigerians to vote wisely in the forthcoming general elections in the country.

    Macaroni made it known that he’s not endorsing any presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections.

    Macaroni said this while some ‘Obedient’ followers confronted him to stop hiding and publicly declare his choice for president in 2023.

    “You people are sha stupid with this your ‘Hiding’ narrative. Na for hiding dem dehumanize me? Constant attacks from then till now!! If not endorsing a political candidate means I am hiding, then yes I am hiding!”

    Macaroni noted that his movement is just for Nigerians to vote wisely in 2023, stressing that it’s the only way for the country to grow.

    “VOTE WISELY!! That is the only movement I am championing! Every time I encourage The Great Nigerian Youths to vote wisely, certain people are always angry. Ok, let me try something else. Don’t Vote Foolishly!

    “Nigerians want growth and development!! That can only happen when good people are in power.

    “Killings and kidnappings, poor health care system, poor educational system, unstable power supply, adequate job opportunities, destabilization of the economy, etc.

    “We must stop recycling the same set of people!! Let’s try something new!”

    Ace comedian and skit maker, Debo Adedayo popularly known as Mr. Macaroni has stated that he will never vote for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections in the country.

    Macaroni didn’t specifically mention the party he would be supporting but speculations are rife that he could be rooting for Peter Obi’s Labour Party.

    He made mention of this via a tweet on his Twitter handle on Sunday.

    He tweeted: “I have been saying since October 2020 that I will never cast a vote for APC or PDP!!

    “I can’t speak for others but I can speak for myself and that is final!!”

    Carpeting his critics further, He added: “Do with this information whatever you wish to do with it.”

    Popular Nigerian skit maker and comedian, Debo Adedayo, known as Mr Macaroni, on Saturday said that allegations of sex for roles should be investigated and appropriate sanctions meted on culprits.

    Macaroni in an interview with NAN said such allegations should not be swept under the carpet.

    He said: “Absolutely disgusting, absolutely abominable act, I’ve always spoken against it, even before I attained this position being a public figure.

    “I have kicked against it, I have series of tweets against it, I have lots of content to speak against it, it is highly disrespectful and highly degrading, it reeks of how much we have lost touch with humanity.

    “People should get roles and jobs based on competence, based on the fact that they are able to deliver. How many people will you sleep with?”

    He added that there should be consequences for such actions rather that turning a blind eye to it.

    “There should be consequences for reprehensible behaviour to do better. If not, if they are found guilty, I want to believe there are appropriate punishment to address this.

    “And it cuts across, it’s not just sex, somebody will ask you to go and bring money for job, if they have money will they be looking for jobs, we shouldn’t ruin the life of others too,” Macaroni said.

    On advice for talents going through such, he advised that they stay true to themselves and remain consistent.

    “For such up and coming artiste, take a look at Mr Macaroni, I will advise you to look at my life and my journey, success doesn’t come once.

    “I started acting as far back as 2012 or even 2010, but by God’s grace, people started to know me in 2019, don’t be in a hurry.

    “Time and chance happens to all man, continue with your journey, success will not come to you on a platter of gold, you have to work for it.

    “Don’t believe that you have to sell your body or do anything inappropriate to get to that height, work hard and keep believing, by God’s grace you will get to desired height,” he said.

  • PVC: Macaroni, Falz, others storm Youth Vote Count Mega Concert

    Nigerian celebrities have stormed the Youth Vote Count Mega Concert 2.0 in a bid to get people to register for their Permanenet Voter’s Card (PVC) ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

     

    Beyond entertaining the crowd, the celebrities on Saturday took time to sensitize people on the need to get their PVCs which was the major drive for the concert.

    The event was graced with the presence of entertainers like Kizz Daniel, MI, Falz, Mr Macaroni, Toyin Abraham and others.

     

    This movement, according to many, is a signal that expresses the desire of Nigerian youths to get their PVCs and also have fun while at it.

     

    “Nigerian Youths are going out massively to get their PVC’s!!

    “You can register in your Area or at The Tafawa Balewa Square between now and Saturday ahead of the Youth Vote Count Concert in Lagos brought to you by the EU and YIAGA. It’s coming to other states also,” Mr Macaroni said in Twitter.

    TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) had earlier reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Nigerian youths that if they get their PVCs and vote in the coming elections, their votes would count.

     

    INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu gave the assurance during the final day of the ‘Youth Vote Count 2.0’ mega concert it organised in Lagos.

     

    According to Yakubu, “We have heard your requests loud and clear. You will soon hear from us on the extension of CVR registration.

     

    “Please, assure me that you will register, pick your PVCs and vote. I also assure you that your vote will count.”

     

    The concert, held at Tafawa Balewa Square, is part of INEC’s awareness campaign to mobilise youths for the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).

     

    The campaign was in collaboration with the EU Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) and the Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth and Advancement (YIAGA).

    Popular comedian, activist and Skit Maker Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has stated that he will never support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

    The comedian said that everyone has the right to support any party of their choice but stressed that he would rather support and unknown party and pray it becomes a force.

    Macaroni, made this revelation known on his verified twitter page on Monday, adding that both APC and PDP cannot change situations of things in the country.

    According to him, “Everyone has the right to support any party they wish to. I will never support PDP or APC!! Insult me all you like, that is my choice.

    “I will join another party and hope that the party can one day also become a force!! For things to change, the foundation must be right!!

    “This has always been my stand and I have said it here severally. If we want things to change, we can’t continue recycling.

    “If everyone is tired, let us in our numbers identify with another party and take back the country from those that have been ruling for donkey years.

    “Pay no attention to those who ridicule the idea of another party. It is definitely not going to be easy. And the change in power won’t happen once. But we must begin from somewhere. If the people are united, the people are unstoppable!!”

    In a previous post on twitter, Macaroni had castigated Babajide Sanwo-olu led Lagos state government over the endsars crises.

     

    His tweet reads: “Na under this government dem kill innocent protesters!! It was under this same government that I and others were brutalized and dehumanized.

    “Police dey beat me dey even ask me say why I dey disturb Mr Governor. So again, I say, this is the worst govt Lagos state has had!”

    Born on the 3rd of May, 1993 Debo Adedayo, known by his stage name Mr Macaroni, is a Nigerian comic skit maker, actor and activist.

    He is best known for his Instagram comedy videos, where he plays the role of a “sugar daddy”. He is known for the phrases “Ooin” and “You are doing well”.

    Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker , Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has cleared the air on the wedding-themed photos he earlier shared with fellow skit maker, Kemi Ikuseedun, also known as Mummy Wa.

    Mr Macaroni had on April 23 and 24, shared wedding-themed pictures of himself and Mummy wa, who always acted as his wife in his skits.

    Findings have shown that the wedding pictures that surfaced online was a part of a project both actors were involved with.

    Insinuations are rife that Debo Adebayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni is getting married this weekend.

    Mr Macaroni shared lovely photos with his supposed bride on his verified Instagram page and created an impression he’s had his introduction ceremony and would be having his wedding on saturday 23rd April.

    “Engagement Today, Wedding Tomorrow,” he wrote.

    Recall that Mr Macaroni had previously informed the public through his Instagram page that marriage scares him and that he wasn’t into any relationships at the moment.

    His tweet read : “No! Marriage scares me. I haven’t been in a relationship since my time in Houdegbe North American University, Benin Republic (HNAUB). That’s like 2011-2012.”

    Popular skit maker, Adebowale Adedayo, also known as Mr Macaroni has revealed that he went to four different higher institutions before graduating.

    The 28-year-old comedian revealed this on his Twitter handle while sharing some facts about himself.

    ‘My state of Origin is Ogun. I’m from Abeokuta precisely. I attended Tendercare International Nursery and Primary school in Ojota, Ogudu. Now at Magodo isheri. So I be Ojota/Magodo boy. I started secondary school in 2002. @ Babcock University High School’, he wrote.

    ‘I went to 4 Universities. I gained admission into LeadCity University in 2009. I was studying law at the time. In 200L, our school had accreditation issues, we started to protest, things got hot. I had to leave the school. Lol. I miss City sha. Sweet school like this’

    ‘From there, I went to Houdegbe North American University Cotonou in 2011. I was still studying law there… I cos small wahala I had to leave. From there I went to Afe Babalola University in 2012… it was there I decided to go back to my first love; Theatre. As Law don tire me.

    ‘One thing led to the other, I had to leave ABUAD And that was when I went to Redeemer’s University in 2013 to study Theatre Arts. Small wahala happen. But everything settle las las… I finished there got my certificate and the rest is history. Any Questions??

    Famous Skit maker, comedian and actor Debo Adebayo also known as Mr Macaroni has opened up on marraige.

    The comedian has revealed that he has no plan of getting married anytime soon, saying marraige really scares him.

    Macaroni made this revealation during a question and answer session from his fans on his Twitter page.

    When asked if he’s considering marriage anytime soon, Mr. Macaroni said ‘no’.

    According to him, marriage scares him and he has not been in a relationship since 2012.

    His tweet read : “No! Marriage scares me. I haven’t been in a relationship since my time in Houdegbe North American University, Benin Republic (HNAUB). That’s like 2011-2012.”

    Macaroni also disclosed that he attended four universities: Leads City, Houdegbe North American University and Babcock before he finally graduated from Redeemers University.

    His comedy idea sees him wearing a rich Agbada, tending to realize beautifully endowed ladies with the aid of maybe transferring a big amount of money to them or doing something of the sort.

    Christened Debo Adedayo but famously known as Mr. Macaroni is a Nigerian comedian, actor, and all-around entertainer.
