    Burna Boy, Mr 2kay finally end four-year rift

    Popular artistes, Burna Boy and Mr 2kay, have ended their prolonged feud which started four years ago.

    TheNewsGuru recalls that their rift started in October 2017 when Mr 2kay reacted critically about the negative remarks the ‘Kilometre’ singer made about Nigerian pastors.

    During an interview, Mr 2kay had slammed the ‘African Giant’ crooner, arguing that he should not have spoken ill of pastors because they are “anointed men of God”.

    Burna Boy, however, fired back at him, and later sent what appeared to be threatening messages to his colleague on Twitter.

    Amid the pair’s heated feud, Burna Boy was alleged to have planned an attack on Mr 2kay during which the latter was robbed and beaten to a pulp at an event.

    The ‘Wonderful’ singer was then declared wanted by the police after which he was arraigned at a Lagos court.

    Amazingly in a viral video, the artistes were seen having fun together at a party with smiles imprinted on their faces.

    This occurrence makes it the first time the pair will be spotted together publicly since their feud in 2017.

    In 2018, Mr 2kay had expressed his willingness to work with Burna Boy again despite what happened between them.

    “I still see him as my brother. Brothers fight and they make amends at the end of the day. Stuff happens and we can’t keep dwelling on that so we have to move on. Forgive, forget, but we still remember,” he had said

    Mr 2kay has joined the league of celebrities who have slammed Mc Galaxy over not ending his Instagram live video with Etinosa .

    Recall that the comedienne who was reportedly drunk and depressed undressed during Mc Galaxy’s Instagram live video yesterday.

    This has sparked various reactions from celebrities like Linda Osifo, Destiny Amaka and others.

    Reacting over the incident, the ‘Beta thing’ singer said: ”Mc Galaxy you are a very wicked person and It is God that will punish you. You are worse than R.Kelly”.

    Last week, Toyin Abraham also condemned Mc Galaxy for allowing his female fan go nude during his Instagram live video.

    She wrote on Instagram:” I sincerely can’t fathom what you need or gain from this despicable act when you could have checked in on porn sites. I am not trying to be a moral judge, I am the least qualified to judge a fellow human, but just the way you used your influence and platform for this woman-debasing act, I am also using mine to stand against an act ridiculing women and further prove that some men are scum. See what people like LindaIkeji, KemiAdetiba, Chimamanda, (Even your friend, LauraIkeji), and other women are doing with their platforms, they lift other women by living, giving and not asking for nudes.

     

    “You can as well follow examples of young men like Davido, TundeEdnut, Wizkid and Banky W. My message to those girls that went naked on your page is this-please let’s do better, let’s stop making men like Mr. Galaxy think everything about women is money.     Afropop star, Mr2kay has made a shocking statement about Lagosians. The ‘Banging’ singer noted that 90%of Lagosians are gold diggers .

    Mr2kay made this known via his Instagram page on Tuesday, January 22, 2019.

    In his post, he stated that most Lagosians are only out for what they can get from you after which they move on.

    “#useurhead Don’t be deceived 90% of Lagosians are gold diggers. They don’t really like u, they only like what u gat. So if you’ve got nothing they don’t fu*k with u. #betterlife #mmmboss,” he wrote.

    No one really knows what triggered his statement, we are however sure that the singer is expressing his thoughts from an experiential point of view.

    Recall that the estranged lovers both took to their various social media pages to wish Alisha, a happy birthday earlier on Monday.

    Amazingly, the outspoken Gifty took to her Instastories to deny Mr 2kay’s claims.

    In his reaction, Mr 2Kay insists that Gifty’s child belongs to him, adding that ‘DNA is too true to tell a lie’.

    In the same vein in a chat with Punch, Mr 2kay noted that he cannot be forced to reveal the result of the DNA test.

    “I am not saying anything about this issue again. You can call Gifty and listen to whatever she has to say.I’m not discussing anything more about that. I am an adult and nobody can force words out of my mouth.”

    A source who once worked with Mr 2kay stated boldly that Mr 2kay is the true father of Alisha.

     

    “Gifty is lying; Mr 2kay is the father of her child. The baby was born on December 17, 2017. I recall that we were in Port Harcourt then when she called to inform him that she had been delivered of the baby. Mr 2kay had been responsible for the upkeep of that child and I was even the one that used to deliver items such as baby food, diapers and clothes to her for the baby. On his last trip to the UK, he still bought some things for her”

    Earlier today, the singer shared photos of himself and Alisha on his Instagram handle to celebrate her as she turns one today.

    He described her as his Sunshine and little princess but failed to mention the mother, Gifty in his post.

    Recall that the reality TV star, Gifty had denied she is expecting a baby with Mr 2Kay last year.

    ‘Belema’ sensation, Mr2kay has joined the league of Nigerian entertainers who have acquired expensive automobiles in recent times.

    The svelte singer shared the pictures of his newly acquired 2015 Lexus 250 sedan car on his Instagram page over the weekend. Clearly, the soft-spoken singer has been smiling to the bank lately because this car is reportedly worth N10M!

     

    Some few weeks back, Kunle Afolayan bought not just a nice car but a vintage one. The actor and movie director took to his Instagram page where he posted photos and a video of the latest addition to his garage.

    Following Burna Boy‘s alleged assault on Mr2kay, the Afro-pop star has said he still sees Burna Boy as his brother.

    Recall that Burna Boy allegedly connived with others to rob Mr 2kay, in his room at the Eko Hotels and Suites sometime in October 2017.

    Inspite of the controversy generated by the issue, Mr2kay maintains that a lot of people want to see himself and Burna Boy work together.

    Hear him: “Its business, we are here to make money. A lot of people want to see that happen. I know he must be getting same question in interviews. Its business, we are from the same place I still see Burna Boy as my brother.I don’t know If he says otherwise, but I see still see him as my brother. Brothers fight and they make amends.     The singer said some Nigerian artistes glorify drugs in their songs.

    “Not all Nigerian artistes are role models. With the kind of songs some are doing these days, they preach drugs too much. Most of them preach drugs, you see them smoking and showing all that in their music videos”.

    On the trend male singers having baby-mamas , he said it’s not their fault .

    “We are faced with so many challenges, the female fans are too many. We that have kids outside wedlock, its not our fault.Its not a nice thing to keep happening. Even all the older musicians are also victims. There was no social media then, so imagine now that social media exists. Even If you are in America, someone can still send you a nude picture. The distractions are too much”.

    Nigerian Afro-pop singer, Mr. 2Kay is not slowing down as he continues to amass fans from all over Africa. Barely a month after the release of his sophomore album – ELEVATED, Mr. 2Kay embarked on his ‘Elevated Media Tour’ starting from Nigeria and now, he’s in Kenya.

     

    Reports coming from Kenya’s media radar shows that the singer whose real name is Abinye David Jumbo is already buzzing in the East African country. Apparently, Kenya is very big on Nigerian music, hence, Mr. 2Kay’s songs such as “Bad Girl Special” ft. Patoranking, “Bad Girl Special Remix” ft. Seyi Shay and Cynthia Morgan, “Who No Like Better Thing,” “Belema,” “Pray for Me” and the latest single “Banging” featuring Reekado Banks has been enjoying heavy rotation on various radio and TV stations in the country before his visit.
